The Unit (2017)

Both are Idol Survival show programs with similar themes with missions and challenges before the final line-up which makes a group.

Both shows are airing at the same time and competing against each other. Meanwhile MixNine is mostly letting the world know about trainees from smaller companies The Unit is about idol group members who have already debuted but failed. There will be idol groups debuting at the end of both shows.

Another Korean TV Idol show where Taemin is acting judge, taking on a more critical role on the panel.

Both shows are survival music shows. The unit aims to help desperate singers who may have struggled to become popular or not had the opportunity to be part of a group to debut as a new K-pop group. Whereas K-pop idol aims to discover the next big music star regardless of the type of singer (ballad, K-pop, trot, rap etc.)

Both of them are really funny and enjoyable to watch just like Broduce

The unit has older groups or more nugu groups where as Idol Producer are all(mostly) young trainees

The unit is actually hilarious and I love everyone on the show,
Idol Producer was also great but it has a more competitive feel rather than family in my opinion

In both survival shows already debuted idols are competing for more recognition. Both are also trying more to encourage competitors than to bring them down.
