It's Over, It is finally over!

This show was like a fighter jet whose pilot had a heart attack half way through the flight... To sum it up... Crashed and Burned!

I am not saying its a bad show because there will always be people who will like it and those who will hate it.

This show had soooo much potential, but noooo. They had to drag it on and screw it up. Honestly speaking this show has a great setting and theme; Modern day Fantasy/Romance with a hint of Historical (not really sure if that is the correct term), It HAD a good story,  Decent cast, and very good music. The show was also very captivating (mostly) for the first half but then it slowed down and that is my biggest gripe because when I say slowed down I mean it almost stopped moving. Did I forget to say Confusing, Yes my friends at one point it becomes very confusing and you loose sight of what the show is even about.

To sum it up, If you have time to waste... Please go ahead, Watch it.  Otherwise you know what to do.

long time ago i didn't write any reviews may be for months
i saw many harsh reviews really that didn't gave this drama it's real rate

i had to admit that i love every min. watching Rae Won & this was first time to me watching him
i adored every sec. watching his love & loyalty to shin si
i really liked park sung & kim seol acting so wish to see them in more KD
and shin si improved her performance much

but as usual the plot has to take a bad curve during the end
which is also as usual the weakest point at any Kdrama
i really considered what happened to kim rae as a punishment for him through his all lives

i felt that seo ji won at the end although she took her punishment but that mad me mad so much
i said WTH y y y y y ?? i was pulling my hair
this end made them didn't enjoy their life at their previous life and the current one as a normal happy couple bringing up babies & lived happily till they die as i was looking for

what ruined the drama for me was definitely that provoking end

I would title it: Black Knight (only)

I was delighted to stumble upon this drama, on a random selection prompted by Netflix. Just saw one of Kim Rae Won's drama and found him to be an underrated star. He fits this reserved, gentlemen, one-man-woman type, witty and good sense of humor. The 'romance' part of the drama was not cheesy because of how he acted on those parts. It seemed very natural. His chemistry with Shin Se Kyung added up to the pleasant outcome of the 'romantic' side of the drama.

I like how the drama incorporated different art medium - painting, dance and clothing design. Which I think added a different 'spice' to the episodes. I particularly admire how the theme of 'living happily together' and wickedness has no end is seamlessly relayed in the scenes. What is it really to live a happily together? What and whose yardstick do we measure up to when it comes to living happily together? What makes up that choice? And how it does not only refer to marriage or long-term commitment, rather in day to day living and the choices we make that makes us happy at the end of each day, month, and years. The drama used the historical and belief on reincarnation to depict endless wickedness. That even from past to present life, wickedness continues to overcome a person who has given into it. Also, wickedness can be motivated by many factors -- greed, ill words spoken towards us, influence, and weak character.

I would have preferred more romantic episodes of Rae Won and Se Kyung.

I like the location scenes. Beautiful spots enhanced the romantic element of the scenes.

This would be in my list of recommendation, definitely.

WORST KDRAMA EVER. GIVE ME BACK THE 20HOURS THAT I WASTED

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I honestly want the 20 hours of my life that I wasted on this bullshit drama back!!!

Ugh, I do not even know where to begin with this review!!!!! This was hands down the WORST Kdrama I've ever seen and 28 faces of the moon literally exists! At least with 28 faces of the moon, it was soo bad that you could laugh. This mad me angry from start to finish.

The show's premise sounded so interesting & the pilot was semi ok-ish. I won't lie, I was a little intrigued but a few episodes in, I wanted to drop it so bad. My stubborn ass doesn't drop dramas so next came the torturous, agonizing CHORE of "trying" to finish this. I lost track of the amount of times this drama put me to sleep! I wish I was kidding but I literally fell asleep about three times an episode. I could barely get through 1-2 episodes a day and I'm a notorious kdrama enthusiast & bingewatcher.

I cannot stress enough how shit this drama was. Apart from Sharon/Seo Ji-hye's character, everything was BAD: The drama leaves so many plotholes unanswered. The characters are annoying. The lack of chemistry between the leads was the biggest let down. At no point did I ever ship them together in their past life or present & their forced love story didn't help --- all the "cute" scenes were an absolute cringe-fest for me. It's ironic that Soo-hoo had better chemistry with Sharon even when he was looking at her with disgust than the actual "love of his life" Hae-ra. And don't get me started on Shin Se-kyung's HORRIBLE acting. There's a reason why I never watch her dramas anymore. I will NEVER put myself through anything else she stars in again, because just like always her acting is so flat and bland and extremely tiresome.. Speaking of acting, I rated the overall acting a 5 here, for Seo Ji-hye's performance. I would've rated her acting a 10, but she was the ONLY one (apart from the actress who played Baek-hee) who could act so the rest dragged the acting down. Kim Rae-won was hot, sure, but he literally had one expression the entire time. Even his acting, I found to be disappointing. The second leads had better acting range, in my opinion.

Sharon to me, really saved this drama. Her acting was phenomenal. Yes, she too was annoying in parts while she was trying to separate Soo-ho & Hae-ra, but from start to finish, I was surprisingly on her side. I just couldn't root for the leads. Don't ask me why?? I felt so sorry for Sharon. She really loved Soo-ho and to see her rejected time and time again broke my heart. I think the writers did a great job of making me HATE Soo-ho by the end. His behaviour was appalling. I understand that he didn't love Sharon in the present life, but he owed her an apology for the way he acted in his past life. It's not lost on me that Sharon killed him and Hae-ra out of jealousy and she too should've apologised BUT there should've been some mention by him of loving her during the early years of their marriage, at least until she couldn't provide him children. We saw how happy they looked in a flashback when they were sleeping in bed together and the fact that an acknowledgement scene like this was omitted just proves that the writers tried hard to force this narrative that Hae-ra was always the woman he loved not his first wife...well I didn't buy it. Poor Sharon didn't ask to be swapped at birth with Hae-ra. All she was truly guilty of was loving her husband so much that her jealousy turned her into a monster. Also quick side note: was I the only one who thought Soo-ho actually looked miserable in his married life with Hae-ra while she started to age? At first, I thought he was sad that she was getting old because he knew their time was limited, but then I was like nope he's genuinely miserable.

Two other things annoyed me aside from the things I wrote above. 1) We don't really get any closure regarding Park Gon & Yeong-mi's relationship. I actually shipped them MORE than the leads! Obviously they must've married because they stayed together while the show did a lame attempt at a future time jump. But I wanted a scene where Gon tells Yeong-mi that he loved her. It was always implied that he loved Hae-ra more and I wanted him to snap out of that and love the girl who stayed loyally and lovingly by his side! 2) At the start of the show, it says that anyone that did business dealings with Soo-ho and tried to rip him off or go against him, was either killed or badly injured. This is shown one other time randomly when a business associate pulls out of a deal and his son ends up him a coma after a bad car crash. But why??? How??? Did Soo-ho order a hit? Was he cursing the people who went against him? Was he an evil man pretending to be good? We saw a lot of his nasty side with how he dealt with Sharon, so he wasn't a saint. Why was this never addressed? The writers needed to explain this better because I still don't know what tf happened to that man's son or why we don't hear about the suspicious circumstances that befall those who go against him. It's literally mentioned in the pilot and then forgotten about for several episides, mentioned once and then never again. That annoyed me.

Anyways, I've wasted enough of my time writing this review. Watch it, if you're brave but if you think "I'm going to stick with it, because it'll get better" --- DON'T. You are only wasting your time. But how knows, you might actually like it? I wish I could have the 20hours of my life that I wasted back!

Male lead is a big no no

It started great, then was good but and I hate the end. The deeper you go into this story, the more you get lost in it. It's an extremely thoughtful script that Shin Se-Kyung (Hae-Ra) and Seo Ji-Hye (Choi Seo-Rin, Sharon's boutique owner) are just perfect for but I can't say the same about Kim Rae-Won (Soo-Ho). He is colorless, boring and downright irritating. As for me, he doesn't fit here and ruined the drama for me.

In general, I give the series 5-5,5/10. I didn't like much about it. What bothered me the most was male lead, Soo-Ho. I haven't seen this actor in any other production but after this one I don't even want to. Kim Rae-Won didn't show any charisma or skill to make me be interested in his character. It looked like he was a different fairy tale, didn't match anything or anyone in Black Knight. Maybe one day I fill come across a drama with Kim Rae-Won where I will be blown off with this acting skill but here he is lame. Ladies on the other hand pulled their characters to maximum! They were amazing and I wish they had a better guy to fight for.

Could have been 4 episodes shorter

As my headline says: I kind of thought this was coming to an end in episode 16, but then it kept going for another 4 episodes.

Brief synopsis:
The male protagonist, Moon Soo Ho, was as adopted into Jung Hae Ra's family when he was in his adolescence after his father died in a mysterious fire. He later disappeared abroad, where he became very successful. Jung Hae Ra on the other hand met misfortune, her family loosing their fortune, and both her parents dying.
She now works as a travel agent, working hard to advance her life. By chance she gets a job trip abroad, where she happens to meet Moon Soo Ho, without recognizing him from her youth. He on the other hand finds out who she is, as he has been searching for her for many years. He pursues her. Back in South Korea their paths cross with his wife from a past life, who was cursed to live forever after her evil deeds back then. She is still obsessively in love with MSH, so how will this love story unfold?

I have a bit mixed feelings for this. I kind of liked it, but then it did go a bit heavy on the scheming and the plots. I thought it was a little confusing in the beginning with the jump between times.

The cast was good. The main couple played by Kim Rae Won and Shin Sae Kyeong had some sweet scenes - they showed intimacy in an affectionate, sweet way.
Seo Ji Hye as Sharon really plays her villainous role well, as do Kim Byung Ok in the supporting role as director Park.

The music was a bit different, but I wish they could have used it a bit more subtle, maybe; I felt it got a bit too much in length.

All in all, when the story threads fall into place it works for a while, until it gets a bit too heavy on the plots. I think it could have been simplified a bit, and I didn't quite see the point of the aunt; her character felt a bit redundant, to be honest.

STORY: At first, it was truly engaging. But as the episodes progressed, it was just TIRING???? You’ll notice that the scenes are just repeating, so you’ll get tired of it.

ACTING/CAST: The cast did great. They totally portrayed their characters!

MUSIC: I loved the OST of this one!

It’s not worth a rewatch????

REMARKS:
I decided to give it a try because I have this little crush on Shin Se Kyung, but I really lost interest in it.
The backstory somehow did justice

Bitter Sweet!

I felt a bit sad at the end...

Anyway, I loved this drama, it was slow but it was rich in thematics.
Past life, reincarnation, forever love, curses, repentance, continual wish to destroy others and selfishness, actions' consequences in lifetimes.

What do you chose, keeping on hurting the others to satisfy a selfish aim based on lack of self love to be cursed even more or finally live and die free without any explanation to give anyone nor endless unwanted act of repayment?

When Ego leads to chaos and soul death!

A great love story that can even surpass time and all tragic events life has to offer.

Over all, it's really a good story with well written plots and subplots for the televiewers to enjoy. But just like other shows in this genre, it had a bitter sweet ending.

The story started hundreds of years ago from one jilted lover to another. The ML and FL were just victims of this tragic events. They did nothing wrong but to love each other unconditionally.

Their challenges continue even to the modern times. It was fun seeing them being friends as teens then seeing them again sa adults, from friends to lovers.

I am okay with the whole journey, except maybe the last episode. I think it's unnecessary and cruel to end it that way.

Who wants to live forever?

Well, without wanting to spoil anything the headline I wrote describes it all!

Despite all the negatieve reviews, I really did enjoy everything about this drama. It's an old habit of my to watch drama's with bad reviews, I'm greatful for it because at the end I do enjoy it that much.
Back to Black Knight, I need to say that the acting cast did performed wonderfully, the Slovenian location is awesome (please visit Slovenia if you have a chance), the music is great and the script is one of a kind!

My overal rating it's 9,5, but it could easly be a 10. I'd say watch and enjoy.

Worth a watch

I don't usually write reviews but I felt like I had to write something about this. Everyone has their own opinions. Some liked this drama while others didn't. I personally liked it quite a lot. The plot was intresting, characters were beautifully written and the acting was amazing. The visuals, costumes, setting was beautiful! I liked all four main characters and thought the actors did a great job on expressing their characters.

However the reasons why I gave it 8 stars is because
1. The story got a little streched and boring in between.
2. The main reason why I didn't give this a higher rating was the ending. I wasn't satisfied with it at all. I usually like happy endings and this was a sad one however that isn't what disturbed me the most. After the way they fought for their love and everything they had been through this ending left me extremely unsatisfied. To be honest, even if it was a sad ending I would have preferred that there was some more emotion or a proper goodbye scene. It was just blank and sudden and I had to just sit and think- what just happened. There was no proper parting scene and hardly any emotion at all. After all the emotions that they had made us feel during the entire show the end was dull and extremely unsettling.

Over all it's a pretty good drama and I would recommend you to watch it as their story is worth a watch.

This show began with an incredible amount of promise but quickly degenerated into easily solved conflicts, characters repeating the same actions time and time again, bad plot points and some really bizarre moments. I don't know what I was expecting with this show but aside from one or two performances, it wasn't enjoyable. The flashbacks were arguably the highlight of the show as they displayed the main villain's reasons for everything she was doing. It was difficult not to feel sorry for her having been spurned by her husband like that and forced to live for centuries, only to see him reborn with the very same woman he lost her to.

So much potential, and yet by the end when the show was done, I really didn't care anymore. The characters lost all my sympathy, even the previously great music became grating.
