This shows have an ok plot. It supposed to be funny but I don't really find it funny. Not only the story throw me off but also the acting. Like god, the cringe hit me like rock. The FL seem so awkward, while the ML is too...much. The fact that the title say "Clean With Passion For Now" but she only work at that clean shop for only half the drama than stay in his house until the drama end is not what i was hoping for. I think that it start good but ended up going downhill. i lost patience watching it. I don't approved the pairing of the couple. I finish the drama to see if the plot change at the end. There are too many boring scenes. The ending is just like any ending, he got over his disease of cleaniness. I'm not a fan this drama.
But we have different opinion so if you want to watch it give it try, maybe you love it after watching it.

Overall, I didn't hate this drama, but I could have lived my life happy if I didn't see it. It was very over the top as Korean Dramas are, but it seemed to be a little more over the top with a story line that fell flat, especially at the end when you give Sol all the power in her relationship with the CEO (when he has done nothing wrong), while Sol gives all decisions about her happiness to her father. So basically, I watched a romance drama about two people who loved one another, but couldn't be together because homegirl needed verbal confirmation from her father that it was ok to love him. It's not until then that she can run to the CEO and know that he'll take her back, no questions asked. Surprise! Spoiler alert. It irked me. Even though he was never to blame, she somehow continuously made him feel like he was completely to blame like he was the one who caused her mother's death and her brother to be kicked out of his sports league. Total power move and I hated it. All homeboy wanted was someone to love who accepted him for who he was and possibly give him the courage to want to seek out help to cure his germaphobia. But I guess the ending was good because what he found was self love which is the love he needed to cure himself and then seek out love for others. I have no idea what homegirl wanted - her father to have some peace with his wife's death and familial approval for whomever she dates? I mean I am not going to go around choosing to date guys my parents hate, but you know if I love someone and know he is a good guy, I would stand up for him and our love a lot more than Sol did. The one thing I enjoyed about this drama was the supporting cast - the group of guys that Sol worked with in the company. There was a nice story about 3 guys who didn't like each other in some way , but when "forced" to work with one another, Sol acts like glue to their new relationship where they end up being closer than brothers. I enjoyed their side stories and learning to kind love between one another. They almost come close to tying with my love for the major minor friend groups of Love 020 and Oh My Venus.

Lost Pace

this drama started off so very well and i binged the first 13ish episodes, but after that i have to admit i changed the speed to x1.5 and started doing a lot of skipping forward.

i wanted to praise the chemistry between the leads to no end, but felt much differently towards the end of the drama. it almost felt like the FL was forcing herself to be with him, despite the many episodes and times she's rejected him for no seemingly solid reason and appeared so offput by his advances. i get that it was supposed to be acting and covering up her true feelings, but unfortunately i don't think that was portrayed very well at all. not to say the acting was bad however, as i think they both came off very well in this.

the OST was perhaps a saving grace, as i thought it was really nice to listen to and added more feeling to moments that otherwise would've made me eye roll for the 50th time (the cringe was off the charts in this one).

the story kind of sucked, to be honest. i thought how they handled the ML's OCD was brilliant at the start - they gave a clear diagnosis and discussed therapy/treatment etc, without just making it a "quirky" personality trait like i've seen mental health portrayed as in other dramas. however, the fact that the FL was some kind of special cure-all, and then he goes to the US for two years and is suddenly completely fine is a little absurd to me. he'd already been sent to the US as a child and got no better, but now all of a sudden he's done a 180? huh? did the power of love cure his mental illness? again, eye roll.

overall, i'd say this is a good little drama if you're looking for something sweet and light-hearted to pass time, but the mind-boggling plot points and ways to halt the progress of their relationship that make no sense make this too frustrating for me to ever re-watch. i'd say it did start off very strongly though, and definitely has its funny and strong moments.

HIGHLY underrated!

I honestly don't know why this show gets such a bad rap. I almost didn't watch it because there were so many mixed feelings about it from people. I'm glad I just jumped right into the story to see how good it was for myself.

Things I really liked about this show:

Comedy:
Some parts were really friggin' hilarious.

Social Commentary:
Nothing better than pointing out how difficult it can be to come from a lower-class upbringing. I dig seeing this in storytelling a lot, never gets old. Most of all, I relate.

Mental Illness:
As a psych. student, I enjoy psych. stuff incorporated into the things I watch. It's not always accurate, but I like it nonetheless (there are conditions, of course). But the obsessive-compulsive disorder/phobia in this drama was well portrayed, I would say. It showed how extreme and how mild symptoms can get. I also liked the fact that it didn't just disappear because of plot reasons (it still had a plot element to it but not overdone, imo). Even at the end of the drama, Sun Gyeol was still trying to recover from it. To me, this was just really refreshing to see in the storytelling.

Morality:
The whole conflict wasn't anything original, honestly, but it just fit into the story and I liked how it was depicted with this theme in mind.

Relationships:
I'm not going to lie, this part will frustrate the hell out of you before the show ends, but at the same time I found it realistic. People don't always know what they want and go back and forth on how they re/act toward something or may have internal struggles about a person/place/thing: it's a normal part of life. This is what I loved most because each character had their own story and you really feel for them. Sometimes that empathy simply comes from how they interact with other characters. Good writing.

Sure, there are hundreds of dramas that cover these topics/themes, but I just really enjoyed how this particular drama handled them. Was the story perfect? No. Were the characters perfect? No. Could some things have been done in the story differently? Of course. But at the end of the day, I loved the show for what it was.

This show has a special place in my heart

From the soundtrack to the acting, this show has stolen my heart. It's a cute show that's filled with laughs, tears, and everything in-between. The soundtrack is a beautiful masterpiece by itself. Every actor fit into their role perfectly. The writing was excellent. I can't wait to rewatch it. The only problem is, it resignated with me so much that I can't help but compare other shows of a similar nature to this one. I'm just so grateful I stumbled across a show that I can love and appreciate this much.

When it came to story, this drama didn't have anything special to add. The plot was pretty basic, but they handled it quite well. It was enjoyable and interesting. The love story was intense too, as the drama didn't shy off from the romantic scenes. The couple had chemistry as well. In addition, the comedy element was strong in the first episodes, though the romance and family drama took over. The love triangle, moreover, was weak, but the bromance was really entertaining. Overall, the performances were good and the drama was cute and sweet.

People can be different

characters analysis _

Male lead : A tsundere . He have hard time understanding his own feelings and coming to a conclusion .
He is a nice and polite person who doesn't look down on people who has job of cleaning and all .
Oh right He might overreact sometimes especially when it comes to the person he love but that's make him hilarious . you will see him being jaleous and blushing many times..

Female lead _ ummm well like most of the female lead of kdramas . she is simple , passionate and hard working in whatever thing she does . She care about her family and when it comes to her family she can even suppress her own dreams and feelings .

"oh did I talked about the Second lead syndrom you might get . "

Second lead _ A carefree and straightforward but has his own secrets . I personally liked this character he is funny and hilarious (especially when he smile). . Also you might like the bromance better than the Chemistry between the leads 😂.

Well , The acting of the characters are pretty good and hilarious . Its fun to see how they were bonded Because of thier destiny. .

But most of the you will see the love amd sincerety of the ML . He take the initiative first step most of the time while FL just suppress her feelings and all for her family.

I personally like the comedy part over the romance part , It potrayed many emotions nicely and present you a new recipe you can taste and relax . This show shows how a person can conquer any when it comes to love .
Also Its not important for two people to be similar to be with each other . Just be yourself and you will meet someone made for you.

Anyway , I had quite fun watching them and tou will too.

Love conquers all.

'Clean with Passion for Now' is an enjoyable and funny romantic comedy.

Jang Gyeol (Yoon Kyun Sang) is the CEO of a cleaning company, and Gil Oh Sol is a young woman who is trying to do better despite odd jobs. In many ways, our leads are opposite. Jang Gyeol suffers from severe mysophobia. In many respects, the guy is truly OCD, especially in regard to germs. He is very neat and organized, as well as well dressed. However, he dislikes crowds and anything with the potential to spread germs or diseases. Consequently, he has a social awkwardness as well.

In spite of her untidiness, Oh Sol has an upbeat and charming personality. She resides with her father and brother. She's a hilarious drunk (when she drinks) who doesn't hesitate when it comes to drinking. Gil Oh Sol was very pretty, sweet, and funny to me.

In the beginning, our leads meet on a few occasions and Jang Gyeol seems to disdain her ways. I especially enjoyed the hilarious scene in which Oh Sol wore a horse mask in order to hide from her crush because she was embarrassment from her appearance and job at the time. In an attempt to retreat, Oh Sol damaged Jan Gyeol's vehicle. Oh Sol promised to compensate the damages. As a result, an effort is made to find better employment so that more money can be earned.

However, she manages to land a job with Jang Gyeol's company. Of course, this starts a chain of events that slowly bring Jang Gyeol out of his shell. The power of love cannot be underestimated. The fact that Gyeol's mother and grandfather were no help with his phobia irritated me. Overseeing him was more important to them than trying to help him, so they embraced it. Over time, his mother got better, but his grandfather CEO Cha was an idiot.

Jang Gyeol did not have much support outside of his family even when our leads were finally in love and Jang Gyeol was getting better. The chemistry between our leads was good. Oh Sol seemed to be just the person Gyeol needed. Until an old and very serious family issue involving Oh Sol's mother and CEO Cha's group is revealed. It was part of our leads' family and tore them apart.
This was the most frustrating part of the series for me. Having Oh Sol not telling Gyeol why she wants the breakup was frustrating. It was so frustrating that Oh Sol lost many points with me (temporarily).

Of course, her neighbor above her, Doctor Choi Daniel, liked our lead as well. As a result, there was a small love triangle. As the series progressed, I understood more of the Doctor's motivations and found him less annoying.
In the end, our leads find their way back and everything is once again happy. I thought the series was good and pretty funny at times. There is more to accepting someone with phobias than love. They seemed perfect for each other and were very cute together. This made the series enjoyable to watch.

As a photographer, I am interested in lighting. A similar amount of planning goes into lighting for film or television. Observing and learning is what I do all the time. It was great how the lighting was done in this series.

INCREDIBLE, AMAZING, HILARIOUS AND HIGHLY UNDERRATED!

Waoh! Where do I begin? My instinct told me I was going to love this show based on the plot. I remember laughing at how it'll play out and my God, I'm blown. It's amazing, concrete, precise and straight up good. Both leads were phenomenal but what's even more dope was the fact every other supporting characters were remarkable as well. They all played their part wonderfully, they made themselves unforgettable.

= PLOT
Going into it, I deeply wondered how the plot will play out cuz I've never seen something like this on screen. After watching, I have to give the biggest kudos to the Writers. I used to think i had OCD, based on some traits I have. But after seeing this, I realize there's a BIG DIFFERENCE between liking things a certain way and being an actual Mysophobe. They were very clever and direct with how the disorder is portrayed and it's challenges. it made me realize that OCD is a SERIOUS condition and it shouldn't be played with or joked around.

It was SOOOOO FUNNY. I laughed so much that I think my laughing meter is broken. The ML's antics cracked me to hell and back.

An educative masterpiece!

= ACTING

ML - I first encountered YKS in Class of Lies and I remember constantly asking, 'Who's this HUGE Man that's sooo uniquely beautiful?'. Decided to look at his Filmography and found CWPFN. He was simply incredible as a mysophobe. His tantrums were so funny and mad hilarious to watch. I deeply empathized with him.

FL - KYJ was amazing. I understand she's still quite young but it never showed. She displayed a wide range of emotions and was incredible. I loved her quirkyness and Spunk. Her character was actually brave and courageous to me.

*IMPORTANT* - The Kissing scenes were so tastefully done, I kept rewatching them. The main kiss was so beautiful and lusty. I LOVED it. I've barely seen kissing scenes like that in Kdramas. Actors just graze lips together and call it 'kiss'; always so disappointing. But this one was AMAZING. It was deep, passionate and again, lustful. 10/10.

Supporting Characters (SC) - They were AMAZING. Cha In Ha's death still gives me a blow cuz he was soooo bright on this show. I loved him so much. His antics killed me. I laughed at his every scene. It made me wondered how such a Colorful person could have died for real. May his soul rest in peace.

Every other character was amazing too.

The chemistry between the characters were incredible and Top-notch. It was just a flawless blend of brilliant actors and actress.

REVIEW - An honest 8/10. Yes, it was that GOOD.

It's an OK show but I didn't love it

Personally, I thought this show was ok.
As a big fan of Kim Yoo Jung (the only reason I watched this drama in the first place), I didn't really like it. But overall, with my bias and the sweet moments between the main leads, I'd recommend watching it if you're bored.
I liked the cute moments in this drama and their kiss/dating scenes were probably the cutest scenes I've ever seen in k-drama history. Their chemistry in those moments were the best and you probably wouldn't care much about the age gap if you just focus on those. The puppy love between the two main leads are just too adorable so I'm going to commend them for that. I think it's because of the acting between KYJ and YKS but whatever was the reason, these scenes were the best things that graced this show.
Another great thing about this drama was the humor. I loved the scenes of Oh Sol with her family, especially when they're bickering or teasing each other. It was funny and it really showed how weird they were. The side characters were also very fun and interesting so you shouldn't get bored with the comedy if that's what you're looking for.
I didn't really like the main characters though – by themselves at least. The female lead was really naive (in the idiotic way) to the point where I just rolled my eyes at her antics sometimes. She wasn't that bad for a lead (there's been a lot of naive, idiotic leads before) but they should've at least given her a bit more common sense in the beginning of the drama so she could handle the following events better. It would've made her more likeable (at least to me) and she would still have room for character development. Then there was the male lead who was narcissistic and egotistical in the first parts of the show. He was really stingy in the non-charismatic way so I disliked him more than I did Gil Oh Sol. Was there character development? Yes. I think there was. But it didn't really change the fact that I couldn't root for Gil Oh Sol in the beginning and I couldn't find myself liking Jang Sun Gyeol for her either. They ended up creating good chemistry in the end when he stops being an asshole and she becomes a smarter person overall (as was portrayed in the cute moments) but the with the amount of self-importance he had for himself and her knack for clumsily destroying opportunities, individually, I didn't understand how they grew to like each other in the first place.
I personally didn't like the story as much as well. If it hadn't been for the cuteness of the main leads, I would've dropped this show by the time I got to the middle of it. As a lot of people commented, the story gets a bit draggy in the middle and it just became more boring (at least, to me). Still however, the best Gil Oh Sol and Jang Sun Gyeol moments were in the middle so even thought it gets sort of draggy story wise, the main leads became a bit more likeable in the second half too. That's probably what saved it for me.
The OSTs were sort of good but they're not my favorite. Don't take this to heart though, a lot of people have been complimenting the song choices of this drama. You do you since I'm not exactly into those types of songs in anyway.
All-in-all I'd say that this show is ok and it's not the best but if you're looking for something casual to watch, check it out.

I decided to watch this drama out of curiosity. It was rated multiple stars on Viki so I mean why not? I was bored and i was looking for a romance to watch. This drama is definitely quirky and cringy at some points and although most wouldn't like that, i think that it really adds to the story. In the beginning, the story gives off funny rom-com vibes and thats what i love most! I think that the actors did a great job on this. I really enjoyed the story however i rated it pretty low because its not original at all. Would recommend to a person who likes cliche k-dramas!

Sorry, the review sucked too! I don't have much time. Also please remember this is my opinion and sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes.

XOXO,

Unbiasesuser
