I accidentally came across this show on Twitter but I was kind of reluctant to watch it coz the leads didn't really catch my attention at first. But when I was running out of dramas to watch I gave this a try! And bang! I was hooked after watching 1 episode. And the LEADS were definitely my type!
Plot - plot isn't anything new but the way story is told is different. Not even a single episode is boring and the story is very gripping till the end. I was actually hoping for more episodes even though it was already extended by a few episodes.
Characters - I must say it is one of those dramas where all the characters are well defined and they all have their own stories and background. I especially liked the way they defined the characters of Pinsuda/mam and Mingkwan. None of the characters are over the top. And the leads are very good too.
Romance - The chemistry between the leads is OFF THE CHARTS!! Honestly one of my fav pairs. They are just so natural, you feel like they are real life couple. The leads don't really have a lot of scenes together untill ep 15-16 but you don't even feel like it because the way story flows is just too good. But don't worry they have a lot of romantic scenes to make up for it. And if you don't like the way they kiss in Thai dramas like me, again don't worry the kiss scenes here are good.
Tor and Min were excellent in portraying their roles.

The drama is definitely worth your time. Don't think much. Just dive in and enjoy!
I hope the leads pair up for a new drama soon!!

Best slap kiss lakorn with a guy who despite being kind of an antihero never takes it too far and isn't misogynistic. It's obvious in the way he treats the women around him, his aunt, the ones who work for him, etc. and honestly it's time we take the stigma out of sex work. That's what this show does.

If he's being a jerk its because he was trying to protect her or making her think he's dangerous so she wouldn't get involved with him but loves her almost obsessively. That's what you need in a slap kiss guilty pleasure, obsessive love and I really hated cheating in some drama because the characters feel selfish but in this one the cheating is done in a way that he doesn't do it to hurt her but to hurt someone else in his rage. There's no rape everything is with consent and the slap kiss is treated more as a fetish and the main lead never physically harms her if anything he's the one getting slapped XD

Anyway, their chemistry was excellent! Believable. Neither of them was selfish. The whole bit with the sister got a little annoying and I would have preferred if they gave Tor's step brother a bit more back story, characterization instead of making him a one dimensional villain, but still all thingsconsidered it was engaging, exciting, full of drama and angst and suspense and the skin ship is just one of the best I've seen!

An intense emotional 27hr ride which I'd been looking for all along. This is a MASTERPIECE.

◢ Story: 9.5/10
Yes, it's brilliant. Yes, there are loopholes but they're so tiny that you'd barely notice. The story is captivating enough that for someone like me who leaves drama hanging after a few minutes of a boring episode, I binged it. It's unexpected, you'd find characters doing everything you'd expected them not doing. They're extreme in their actions and this is what makes this story intense and interesting. At least for me. This drama is full of moral/life lessons. You'd find a lesson in almost every character which varies a lot.
Now there are some elements that bothered me, and they're the reason for -0.5 from the total score. The men, in this drama, are abusive and extreme. I find their hitting women disturbing. Even women hitting women was disturbing for me. Maybe it's the way lakorn is or maybe it was what this drama required but it unnerved me.

◢ Characters: 10/10
Tor/Sila: A GOLDEN, GOLDEN character to exist in the fictional world. What happened to him as a child left him with this rage which is his only driving force in life. He's blinded by it but that doesn't mean he loses rationality and this is what makes his character a whole lot different and priceless. He doesn't smile, he just goes around blowing away your mind by doing everything you didn't expect. There's so much that can be said but I'd restrain myself because I don't want to spoil for those who haven't seen it. He's just THE BEST.
Min: As much as hot-headed Sila is, Min is that much calm and a cool person. Her character compliments Sila's really well but that doesn't mean I liked her much. She was judgemental and pushy in the beginning but I'm glad she grew as the story progressed. But that's all there was to it.
Pinsuda: Another GOLDEN character. Best Aunt in the drama world. This woman was badass and had such a BIG HEART. She's honestly a gem.
Villains: SO, SO, SO BAD. The villains in this drama are real definition of villains. Even though they have their own traumas that made them act the way they did but damn, they've crossed all the limits. Though the villains were played perfectly. After watching this drama I realized, once again, that how people differ. For some, urge to destroy everything for everything is the thing they think they'd find solace in and for some, they realize their mistakes and immediately try to amend them. They try to forgive and find happiness. You'll find different kinds of villains in this. They vary on the scale of villain-hood. Sida was ruthless and she knew what she wanted. In a way, her character had depth too. Her hatred was driven by rejection she'd suffered and this hatred blinded her to the point that she ended up losing everything. Her belief, 'the only ones we can trust are ourselves' tells much about her character. Her evilness had no limits, I swear which is why I felt nothing for her in the end. No, I wanted her closure even worse than it actually was.

◢ Acting/ Cast: 10/10
This high rating is all thanks to Tor (Thanapob). As complex as his character of Sila is, this guy has done justice to him in the best way possible. He is the kind of actor who portrays his emotions through face expressions which is rare. I loved his acting, I loved everything about the way he made Sila to be. Its my second lakorn and first drama of Thanapob so he's left quite an impression one me.
Min played by Fern was just an okay for me. Her character was subtle and quiet enough that I didn't feel her stand out. Moreover, I didn't feel enough chemistry between the main leads till the end episodes. She did a good job but not enough to leave an impression.
Wattanajinda who played Mam/Pinsuda was so, so damn cool. She truly gave this bold and courageous woman vibe with a mother's heart. Ann Siriam played the best lady villain out there. Her portrayal of Sida was spot on. I hated her so much which points towards how convincing she really was.

◢ Music: 7.5/10
Don't get me started on this. I didn't like the music. AT ALL. One background music track was good but others, nah! Sometimes they played the music which did NOT go with the scene. It ruined the effect >< Ending OST was good and imagine my surprise when I found out that Thanapob sang it.

◢ Re-watch Value: 9/10
YAS! Totally worth it. Its intense and I love intense shows. Its one of those shows which would make me coming back to it every now and then hence the high re-watch value.

◢ Conclusion:
This drama blew my mind away. Quite literally. Sila is the kind of character that I love. They're flawed and closer to reality than any other. His journey towards acceptance and forgiveness left a deep impression on me.

the story ..8
It’s really nothing new . a man who was tortured when he was a child and nw coming back at those who hurt him and then we see his journey and how the people around him who love him will change his path .. the story wasn’t really what made watch this it was the characters , specifically Sila and Mam I JUST LOVED THEM and their scenes together were my favorites .. sila is just a complex character , He is hurt , shattered , conflicted and trapped in his past .. and Mam has to be one of my favorite female character of all time , I loved everything about her , her looks , her style , How she didn’t let anyone insult her and how she loved sila as her own child and only wanted what is best for him
but unfortunately the rest of the characters really didn’t have that impact on me especially the villains !! omg so annoying and so one dimensional , they are evil just bc the want to , even when they tried to give them a reason about the husband leaving them it really didn’t do anything for me , I was really hoping for some kind of a character development especially from sawit bc he was the most interesting to me but unfortunately that didn’t happen

Acting .. 10
what make this drama worth watching is definitely the acting especially Mam’s and sila’s
Tor is a phenomenal actor I already know that bc i watched side by side and i was blown away by him there ( watch it if u haven't u won’t regret it i promise ) and seeing him in this role as sila which is the complete opposite and still blowing me away .. he is definitely the best thai actor I have seen along with ken
there wasn’t a second that i felt he was out of character , every look , every hand gesture , every thing was sila he wasn’t himself any more
the other actors did a good job too but tor’s skills overshadowed everyone else except for Mam .. she was really the only one on his level here and I loved their bond so much ,, wised that there were more scenes of them

Music ..10
absolutely amazing , I think that this is a first time i watch a lakorn with so many osts and they fit perfectly

re watch value ..10
I will definitely watch it again just to see tor again

Can you really ever get tired of revenge lakorns? Probably. But do you think that stops anyone from watching them? Nope! This show is a whippoorwill of emotion, you'll literally ride the roller coaster. I could go on and on about this drama; they were all very good looking, the music was A1 and overall this drama is killer; it's actually really fantastic especially for a remake. It's easy to watch, the story was a little much and confusing in the beginning because there's just a lot going on but the revenge story is good, the acting from both the ML and FL is just fantastic; even the bad characters are good at what they do and convince you of not being bad for like some of it too. The main leads click so very well and it's amazing because it makes it an even better watch. Even though its your typical happy I love life I'm a strong girl; I like it because she's honestly just a good old soul and it's kind of filling. The guy isn't even too terrible. There's a lot of things going on but it's a smooth ride all along the way. The story is exactly as they say, they both go through rough patches in their life and one of them just happen to let it overcome their whole life ya feel. The music is awesome; definitely worth downloading for sure. Overwall, 10/10 would recommend and watch again. It's so good.

MESS! MESS! & MORE MESS

Well, what are roller coaster ride. This is my first time watching a Thai Lakorn and boy my mental health was wreck to the core; this show gave a headache. I took longer to finish this series because I needed to take a 3 week break for recover my mental health.
*Overall Thoughts: I have never watched a series and not root for a character. I don't even want Sila/Tor and Min to be together at this point. I like and dislike the show at the same time. It's the feeling after the honeymoon phase of a new relationship.
*Likes
- The acting was phenomenal; the actors did their thing.
-The action in this series was amazing.
The character Ms. Mam is so classy and elegant. She is my favorite character out of everyone in this damm show.
*Dislikes
- The domestic violences.
- How Sila/Tor had sex with Min stepsister and discard her like; I just think that there was another way her could have gotten revenge on her. Kwan had right to want to seek revenge out on Sila (now I don't agree with the ways she went about it). Being used by a man for sex and them was discarded is not a good feeling for any woman.
- The amount of fillers scene this series have is crazily annoying.
- The character Ae is trash like everything he does and say was madly stressful for me. He could not do shit right.
- I was expecting there to be more gun violence
*Character Breakdown (MY Opinion)
1. Female Lead; -Min is the sweet, naive, simple girl next door. Who lacks standards, boundaries, expectation, a backbone, a leg to stand on, self-respect, dignity. She does not know her place and how to mind her business, she meddles in everyone business she always gets hurt.
2. Male Lead; - Sila/Tor is corny, fearless pimp gangster who is physical and sexually abusive. Who fucked up everyone life while seeking revenge on Sida and her son.
*End Thoughts
I don't want Sila/Tor and Min to be together, I see no chemistry between them she is just confusing her lack of options to get away from her abusive family that she fell in desperation (aka love) with an abusive man, who don't understand or cares about her saying No or LET ME GO. At this point she is so accustomed to abuse that she is welling to suffer just to be with this man. He watches her get her ass beat by her stepsister, when he did not want to admit to himself that he was in love with her, now he wants to protect her from that very stepsister. I would recommend this show but not because it is truly enjoyable, but because it's a great conversational series to watch with a group of friends or family. I rated it 7.5.

The story is on fire !!
there r though some flaws in the script along with the situation that makes things unlogic and kicks u out of the mood, for example;
* The police.. Their presence was useless.. Like when they see a fight they just stand still.. That didnt give me the vibe of police authority & reality.
*some scenes were so obv that they were acting.. As if they were waiting for each others' lines.
*the gun shot injuries wernt taken seriously 😂 It felt like they recieved a stab or more like a bunch 🤦🏻‍♀
the montage as well wasnt perfect

..BUT the amazing story and acting makes you condone these flaws.
The FL character pissed me off for her weakness and attempts to make Tor give up on revenge ( my pov) but nothing is perfect, some obstacles must show up to raise the thriller
I should hightlight Tor's acting skills! He was stunning.. He really captured me and made me interact with him, got me so deep into the character.. Id give him 20/10 +(much love ❤❤)😂
Would definitely rewatch this drama just for his great work

You need to watch this show, you don't even have to read my review, just watch the show you won't regret it.

I've watched quite a few Thai dramas over the last couple of years and many of them have a recurring theme of "slap-kiss-revenge". Most Thai dramas have cliches, predictability, and their quality isn't always the best. Despite that, I keep watching more and more lakorns because overall they can be quite entertaining. Huajai Sila is honestly one of the best shows I've ever watched, not one of the best Thai shows, but overall one of the best shows I've ever watched. The villains of the show are perfectly evil in the sense that their character's actions elevate the tension and drama, they had no redeeming qualities about them which is why despite them being evil I loved their characters because I loved hating them. Sila's character was very macho, at times rude, but you can't help but fall in love with him anyway. Mingta is sweet, naive, and at times too nice, but I understand why her character needed to be that way. This show is full of drama and progressively gets better and better, there's never a point where I thought "this is kinda boring." If you haven't watched it you need to watch it.

I never watch lakorns but this one stood out when I was looking for really angsty revenge dramas with alpha male leads and I'm glad I decided to watch right away!

I'm into angsty romance so I was really looking forward to that in here and I must admit, the romance wasn't the main focus (at least for me) BUT boy did the story hook me right from the start. It's not without its flaws but the way they executed everything was so well done and really makes you look forward to the following episodes. The romance is still very much the heart of the story but everything else is what will make you want to watch every episode!

The acting from EVERY ACTOR was PHENOMENAL especially the main guy (Thanapob), he did such a fantastic job acting out every emotion of the very complex Sila! The main girl was kinda lacking in acting, it bothered me at times bc I want her to express more emotions in some scenes but she can still improve in her future projects & still did a good job. I also wanna applaud Ben who played Min's sister, she was also really great. I catch myself blurting out verbally, "Oh dang she's/he's GOOD!" whenever I watch Thanapob & Ben in some scenes.

The music was my FAVORITE!!!! Ugh, I LOVE every song used in this! They also used them so perfectly in every scene!

From what I can see in the comments, this has been the best lakorn of 2019 so far! I hope it gets the recognition it deserves even more!

Wow. That ML knocked my socks off. I think he is the equivalent of the US Matthew Mconquny ( probably didn’t spell that right) but he’s arrogant and masculine and women like him! I wonder if he speaks English because we need some new blood actors who have sex appeal and are young. The Actresses were all great. I didn’t care for the slapping between women - our movies have more snarky verbal cursing . But gosh it’s a wild ride and a guilty pleasure that I have to admit I liked ! I would definitely watch it again just to see the scenes between the leads. The FL is so beautiful it was enjoyable to root for her and understandable that she forgave his tryst with her awful sister because he was doing it for revenge not live.

I've watched lots of drama in the past from Vietnamese, to Korean, to Chinese. This is by far the best. Not too cheesy or corny, it's just right. A lot of dramas miss the important parts that helps builds the chemistry, but this drama really gets detailed where you really feel for the characters. Feel what they are going through and their pain. Everyone did an amazing job in acting out their part. It was full of suspense, and I find myself pausing some scenes because I was afraid to know what will happen next. I had to mentally prepare myself. Lol. I also rewind some scenes with Tor and Min because they were so sweet. This drama was absolutely addicting. I've watched 3 times already, and I plan on watching it again in a few months.
