Both are very warmhearted romantic comedies with the leads who are friends first before they fall in love. Both are great shows about friends who are like family who are very supportive and kind to one another. Both are slow burn love stories, but once the fireworks begin, it burns pretty brightly and both become some of the sweetest love stories out there with both male leads who support the female leads in her pursuit of her dreams. Also there's a strong womance element in both shows where the women/girls are super kind to each other and in 30b17 there are no female love rivals. Both female leads speak their minds and though Kim Bok Joo is very strong physically, Seo Ri may seem naive and weak on the outside, she's actually a very strong willed person and overcomes a great amount of tragedies yet she doesn't let them destroy her sense of optimism. Nor does Seo Ri like Kim Bok Joo let setbacks prevent her from pursuing her dreams.

Both shows on the surface seem to be fluffy sweet romantic comedies, but they both also carry much deeper meaning and life lessons. Both male leads become anti social due to childhood traumas that manifest into mental disorders. Both female leads help them to slowly open up and learn to join the world and socialize again. Both shows involve a bunch of lovable hodgepodge group of people who come together to form a family for the main leads who are orphans and alone in the world. Both shows will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy and glad you watched and stuck with both bunches of lovable characters.

Instead of being literally frozen, there is a bus accident and the female lead wakes up from a coma after thirteen years and the male lead is emotionally stuck at that time, unable to get over the shock of what has happened. They meet and help each other get over the trauma, falling in love in the process.
Warning: Unexpectedly sweet and charming. There is a strong chance you will get emotionally invested in the characters despite the strange beginning.

- Lee Dohyun stars in both dramas.
- One of the main leads is having a hard time dealing with time passing. While Daeyoung gets back to his 18 years old body keeping his 30s mind, after a coma Seori stays as a 17 years old girl when she is actually 30.
- Both are healing comedies.
- The characters affected by time get the best of the situation and try to persue their dreams and regain the time they lost.
- Endearing supporting characters.

though the tone of these two dramas are a little different they both have a similar backdrop. MLs & FLs in both these dramas had a tragic or traumatic event in their teenage years. there are flashbacks scenes etc.
& also the younger part of the FL is played by the same actress in both the dramas.

Both shows are lovable feel good romantic comedies that most people will want to watch again and again. Though 30b17 doesn't have any evil characters, just very tough traumatic circumstances that the main couple have to overcome. Both have male leads who suffer from PTSD due to a traumatic accident that they blame themselves for. Both couples are connected through a childhood accident but meet unaware of this fact as adults. Both male leads are perceived by everyone around them as odd, antisocial and harsh, but eventually they learn to soften their behavior due to their love for the plucky female leads. Both female leads are orphans who have to go through a lot of hardships because they are alone in the world without family support and end up creating a new family with the men they meet. I love Shin Hye Sun as much as I love Ha Ji Won as an actress. Though Ha Ji Won has had many more shows where she's the lead, Shin Hye Sun makes me root for her the same way Ha Ji Won does and I end up looking for other shows of hers to watch in the same way.

Both are adorable endearing feel good shows where the couples are so sweet that you can get cavities from watching them. Though Louie is always super sweet from beginning to the end and Woo Jin was a kind person when he was young, but a trauma made him hard and avoid others, they both eventually become super sweet BFs. Both couples have great chemistry and both shows leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. They are my two top warm-hearted, light funny romantic comedies. Both female leads are looking for a beloved missing relative and end up finding the male leads instead and they form their own makeshift family.

Both shows are for the most part funny romantic comedies, but they both also have amazing life lessons and messages. Both shows have very direct female leads who are not afraid to say exactly what's on their minds to the male leads, though Seo Ri from 30b17 is much gentler in her approach. Both female leads are super kind, but are not afraid to give others a piece of their mind. Though Seo Ri is much more naive and inexperienced and sometimes isn't aware that she's being manipulated, but in her own funny way she takes care of herself and her sweetness doesn't prevent her from showing her temper when it's called for. Both shows have super romantic and sad moments and LOL moments. Both couples have great chemistry, though 30b17 couple is more naive puppy love and take longer to develop but the payoff is so worth the wait. Sung Hoon is in Oh My Venus and he goes on to have one of the cutest sweetest love stories with Shin Hye Sun from 30b17 right after he did OMV in a lovable family show called Five Children/Five is Enough.

In 30 but 17, she wakes up from a 13 year coma to find that there are new people living in her old house, similar to how in good morning call, they get into a scam and end up living together :)

Both are very sweet romantic comedies. Both male leads have eccentric anti-social behaviors at first, but after they meet the sweet, naive, lovable female leads they start to soften up and become amazing SOs. 30b17 has a more serious social message and life lessons, but most of the show is light and funny. Both couples end up falling in love after living together. Both shows will give you second male lead syndrome and both shows will launch them into first male leads because of how lovable they were in these shows. Both shows have time jumps though most people will be very happy with the one in 30b17. Both are sweet love stories with very funny quirky characters. Both shows are about very artistically talented leads. They will both leave you with very warm fuzzy feelings.

The main characters both are waking up from Acoma and meet the second lead
They both have very funny moments and sad moments . Both of the dramas the main lead have to Adapt to what's happening and What words to say what words not say how many things they've missed #HowToUseAPhone
Both of the dramas are pretty funny and the relationships are pretty cute so I do recommend

In both dramas, the leads are connected trough their past but do not know at first. While in It's Okay to Not Be Okay one of the main leads is calm and the other one quite hot-headed, the dynamic of the couple in Thirty but Seventeen is more of a calm ML/ naive FL one. But in no way is it annoying or cliché, do not misunderstand. What they have in common though is that both couples support each other with their internal struggles of trauma. I think both MCs have great chemistry and the storylines are far from cliché or boring. They explore more unique situations and there is never any annoying doubt or misunderstanding between the leads. (At least as far as I remember; it has been a while since I've watched Thirty But Seventeen.) But I think if your taste is similar to mine, you will enjoy both dramas to a similar degree!

30 but 17 is a romantic comedy about a 17 year old girl who gets into a car accident and spends 13 years in a coma. When she wakes up, she has to relearn how to live life as an older woman. Diva of the deserted island is about a woman who spends years on an uninhabited island and has to relearn how to participate in society.
