When I began watching this drama I was so close to ending it in the first episode. It seemed completely overacted and the story very typical but before I knew it i was sitting there with a box of kleenex crying my eyes out with these characters. This was a very good drama. And the actors are all extremely good looking so that helps a lot. The story wasn't the most original but I feel they really did amazing with what they had. I would definitely recommend this drama.

With it's frequent toilet jokes, spaztastic romance, and immature characters, I wasn't exactly willing to watch "Ramyun Shop". However, one of my friends convinced me to give it a go.
So I sat down and watched the first two episodes, found it insanely stupid, and didn't go back to it for months. It sat on my "Currently watching" list for ages, collecting dust until I finally decided I might as well finish it.
Story: Once you get past the childish feel of the first few episodes, "Ramyun Shop" draws you in. I had to ignore some of the jokes, but it was actually enjoyable once you got into it. "Ramyun Shop" depicts first love, finding yourself and every other motif about growing up there is. The story is predictable- you know all the characters are going to change for the better, you know who the main character is going to wind up with- but the story manages to infuse enough unpredictability to make this drama unique. I wasn't onboard the whole 'older woman, younger guy' romance, but I got over that.
Acting: Jung Il-Woo. Need I say more? He pretty much carried the story with his acting. Cha Chi-Soo was a hilarious character, and I highly doubt anyone else could have pulled it off as well as Jung did. Leee Chung-Ah was okay, she fit the role well enough but I didn't particular like her. Lee Ki Woo was great in his role and all the other flower boys were adorable.
Music: Nothing I would listen to if I had the choice, but it was nice.
Rewatch Value: As much as I liked this drama, I am definitely not going to sit through it again. I can only take so many juvenile jokes and craziness.
Overall: The messages this show attempts to teach are nothing new, but they were conveyed in a heartfelt and sincere way. Overall, this drama was nice and full of heart, but it felt like it was for kids under the age of 12.

This drama was fun. Far more fun than I expected, and far more fun than the synopsis led me to believe. It was unbelievably crazy in a cute way, fast-paced and filled with twisty plots, but surprisingly not too overdone.

There were some parts in the plot that were over the top or unnecessary, but these were balanced out by the charming interaction of the side characters. Whilst I found the main pairing at times a little infuriating, though often adorable, the characters of the flower boys (in particular, Crazy Rooster and Pillar) were enough to keep everyone hooked. I even loved Crazy Rooster's love interest, as she was a great foil to the old fashioned female lead.

Overall, I expected eye-candy and I expected stupidity and I expected angst. While all three of these did occur, the eye-candy was worth it, the stupidity cute and the angst infrequent and meaningful. This is not the most original or poetic drama that you will ever watch, but the antics of the characters from episode to episode will leave you with a smile on your face.

I had high anticipations for this drama. It started off really promising: it was funny, it had great and beautiful actors in it. But as the story went on, it started to get boring. The story resembled a typical shoujo manga: we have a dumb, average looking girl; a handsome, rich but a jerk guy and another guy, who isn`t rich, nor he is the most handsome, but he has a very kind heart. And all manga-drama the girl can`t choose who she likes more. Like, seriously? Who would like a jerk who calls you "crap"? Sheesh...
There were many funny scenes but, in my opinion, they didin`t compensate for repeating scenes over and over again. Almost all episodes were similar: the jerk guy does something sweet for the girl, she thinks she may like him more, but then he ruins everything by calling her mean names, ect. Then the good guy appears, does something sweet, but then the rich guy appears again...
I struggled a lot to finish Flower Boy Ramyun Shop. In the last 7 episodes, I felt like it was my duty to finish the drama, not because I liked it, but because I`ve dropped a lot of dramas already...

The acting was as good as it can be with such unrealistic scenes. Male leads done especially good job in adding something more real to their cliché characters. However, I found myself disappointed in female heroine. Her acting wasn`t good.

The soundtrack was satisfying, I especially liked Jung Il Woo`s song A Person Like You.

Overall, although the story is really cliché, the acting was pretty good. I would recommend this drama to people, who want break from serious dramas.

I made sure to write a review for "Flower Boy Next Door" before "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop" because I wanted to compare the two of the three Flower Boy Series. And I realized that despite the story not being so interesting, the cast is just amazing. Jung Il Woo,Lee Ki Woo, Lee Chung Ah, Park Min Woo and Joo Yoon Woo collaborated so well. It seemed like they were playing this drama like a reality. Music's nice as well, especially at sad scenes. My favorite being Shayne's - Iyagi. Also if I 'm asked to pick out a favorite episode, Episode 16 was my favorite when Yang Eun Bi walks in President Cha's room and takes away Cha Chi Soo with a Toilet sucker in her hand! *laughs still* Its been almost more than 6 months I've watched it and yet it makes me laugh enormously!
Re watch Value's high because I really like the Comedy-more, Romance-medium genre.
Overall, the story's not so high notched but its definitely not the end of the world if you watch it ;)
P.S - Wanna have a laugh, go watch it, lighten your heart. It'll make you smile! :)

Story - I found it to be enjoyable, however, I also found it to be one of those dramas that would pick something (aka, details) up, and then drop them (such as the tarot cards in the beginning; I seriously thought that that would play a big role in the story but the only thing was the bell ringing. Another one is Eun Bi's boyfriend. I thought the end of him would be after his new girlfriend threw water balloons at Eun Bi). There may be a second season, right? I hope, because I wish this drama could've gone longer, and tied up and completed 100% of every single thing instead of 99.9%

Acting/Cast - The reason why I watched this drama was because my friend kept telling me to...and because Jung Il Woo is in it. Some of it is over-exaggerated, although, I think it was meant to be like that, especially in the beginning episodes. In the later ones, I didn't find that as much. Ba Wool, in my opinion, is the most comical in the drama. Also, I give props to Lee Chung Ah for her hilarious acting in this drama (especially the last episode with the plunger)! Chi Soo doesn't show much character development, and the amount that the character did develop, was only in the very, very end. His character could also annoy A LOT of people.

Music - I extremely LOVED the music, from the playful melodies to Shayne Orok's OST for the song ^^ When they're in cafe's or the like, there's American music playing, like Bruno Mar's Grenade.

Rewatch Value - I'd watch this more for the comedy or have it be eye-candy if your favorite, favorite actor/actress is in here.

Overall - A fun, funny drama. The ending isn't to some's liking; depends on whether or not your own Chi Soo or Kang Hyuk's side.
It's nice to watch after you've been watching something like The Moon That Embraces The Sun...or if you just watched 49 Days and want to see Jung Il Woo play a different role on a happier-ish note.

I found this drama really really funny! The bromance had me smiling all the time. Even the "bad" characters had me laughing, you couldn't really hate them. The storyline could have been a little better but overall, it served it's purpose of being a romantic comedy. The acting was great and the hot scenes were hot. I was fanning myself a good amount of times. I must say that TvN is not afraid to get spicy lol. I would watch this again, especially when I'm feeling down. I recommend the readers to watch as well.

It's been a while since I saw this drama so my review may not be that good. I'll let you know what I remember about this drama...

Characters: I remember that at first I didn't like the female lead but over the course of the drama she grew on me. I'm not saying that I started liking her, but she became tolerable. She was annoying at times and she had no self respect. Plus she was weird and selfish. She wanted both guys for herself and she was plying them both. Yes, she wasn't doing that by scheming and stuff but she was hanging on to both of them instead of choosing one. Kinda like Elena (from Vampire Diaries). This annoyed me about her.

Cha Chi Soo... I really didn't like him in the beginning. I found him funny, actually. But then I started liking him. He wasn't that bad and he was pretty good looking. But he was selfish throughout the drama. People argue that he changed and became a better person at the end but I don't agree with that. He still seemed pretty selfish at the end, to me.

Ba Wool was so adorable and cute! I really really liked him. Yes, he loved Yoon So Yi and so he let her use him. But I like how he also stood up for himself. His personality was a lot like my little brother's...

Hyun Woo was a nice character but he wasn't shown as much as I would've liked for them to show him. His story had a lot of potential and I think that they should have explored it more. Not just use it as a small side plot. I think he should have had a bigger role.

Now for my favorite character, Choi Kang Hyuk! Aaahhh!! This guy is just... perfect!! He's hot and tall and sweet and adorable and cute and just perfect! I had a major second lead syndrome at the beginning of the show. But then I realised that Eun Bi did not deserve someone as amazing as him. So I was very happy that he wasn't the one Eun Bi would end up with. She was right with Cha Chi Soo. Leave Kang Hyuk for someone better! The way he says manora is so cute! And he's so funny in how he's lazy and sleeps anywhere and everywhere! I just really really loved him!

I don't remember many of the minor characters... Eun Bi's teacher friends were OK. They were funny at times. Cha Chi Soo's dad was very weird. He bathe a lot :P Like, in every other scene he was shown in a hot tub. Yoon So Yi was a spoiled brat. I hated her! She used Ba Wool and strung him along and she really annoyed me.

Story: I'm not much of a fan of "noona-romances" but this one was okay. The story was interesting and I really did enjoy the drama a lot. I don't know what else to say... the story was really good but not one of the best in the kdrama world.

Overall: I would recommend this drama if you like noona romances or if you're just looking for a romance. It does have nice kisses and the story is pretty good. Overall, it's enjoyable and worth your time.

This is exactly the type of drama I like to watch. Fun, light hearted, with a dash of angst thrown in every once in a while. It has some excessive sillyness at times, but for a drama like this I found it really enjoyable.

You will really enjoy the main characters, and the chemistry between them is great **There are some good kissy scenes ^^**. It is 16 episodes so it isn't too long, but the characters still are able to evolve and grow and it didn't happen to quickly, so it didn't feel fake. Plus the acting is pretty good too! I found that it wasn't too predictable, although others may disagree. Of course there are the cliche scenes that have to happen in dramas like these, but i enjoyed the characters so much I didn't mind. There are a couple sad scenes as well as a couple serious parts, but I liked that they didn't keep on them too long and let you go back to the fun and sillyness that makes this show great.

Overall, if you aren't looking for a hard core angsty drama that will make you cry every episode and want to watch something that will make you laugh and fan girl *or boy* sigh at all the pretty people, then this is a great pick!

I've just finished watch this drama. I'm so excited when I watched this, even my heart raced with this movie. It boiled like they said like a ramyun your heart will boil. It happened to me. hahahaha. A first I like how they could make any kind of ramyun and put some passion in there. Also the story tell us about how a spoiled rich boy fell in love and he changed for the one he loved. The story is great overall, there are some part that can make you sad but also funny and happy at the same time. The cast I love how the director chose Jung Il Woo as the main character, because he has the charisma that could fill the position of spoiled rich boy Cha Ji Soo, also the main woman character that 6 older than him. As for the soundtrack, There are some song that I like but not most of it. This is the first time I don't like too much with the soundtrack, as I usually always went crazy for every single drama soundtrack that I have watched. So overall, if you like a romantic story with different kind of feeling that make your heart boiling this is the drama that you should watch.

This drama took me way too long to finish but not because it wasn't interesting or something like that. I regret that it took so long to finish it actually.
The story is really cute and nice and as in most korean dramas I was torn between both male leads, just as the female lead. I kinda like those love triangle stories since it let's me find my own personal choice but this time it was really difficult since I liked both male leads.
The acting was good but sometimes a bit over the edge. The cast made fall "head over heels" in love with Jung Il Woo. I expect to see more from most of the cast members. :)
If you like those Flower Boy dramas or in general light topics/love triangles you should really check that drama out!

I started watching this because it seemed like a nice short series to watch, and if that's what you're looking for it is. It was funny, cute, and just plain adorable. I loved the acting. I had never before seen a drama with Jung Ill Woo, even though I had heard great things about him, and was he was a terrific actor. In fact the acting overall was amazing. I loved the music because it was simple and cutesy which is what this entire drama was up to a point. I enjoyed the story, I liked the idea of where it was going, but towards the end I got disappointed.

Something so simple and cute went crazy and out of control (I call this the "Boys Before Flowers Effect" if you've ever seen that drama) Too much happened from what there was, and some of the characters disappointed me. The ending at least for me was rushed and sloppy compared to the rest of the drama which contained some excellent climaxes and was directed very well.

If you're looking for something simple and light to watch just for laughs or just because you have nothing else to watch, then I recommend it highly. If you are however looking for an intense, thought-provoking, rapid plot, this isn't something you should be watching right now, even though I do recommend it be watched at least once, just to experience the humor.
