There isn't really much to say about this show. This is one of those must see. Thats the only reason I watched this awful show. Story was awful, just weird conflict after conflict that was so unrealistic and just problematic. And the fact that fl chose him in the end. I aint forget about that weird ass abusive bullying the beginning. This was just really bad and too much. Like conflict after conflict that didn't even make sense. And the fact that she couldn't swim anymore. There weren't any attractive guys in this cause even if that was hip before those hairstyles weren't doing it for them. (lee min ho couldnt be saved by better hair tho). Awful show don't recommend. the only thing i got from it is being able to say that I actually have watched this "iconic" show. Ngl tho chuckled a few times in the first episodes but it got worse and worse especially when he left and the new love interest came in. Took me a solid 7 months to finish it lol. Acting and Cast are really good but it's not perfect. Music is awesome, I love it. Some musics made me cry, my heart aches or made me happy. The singers are so good! But I don't think I'd like to watch it again, I mean, it's like another Meteor Garden or Boys over flowers (manga) and I'm sick of it. But anyway, it's a good drama.

I Think Jan Di's character became pointless because she was strong on the story's beginningand she became weak by the end of the drama. And she was sometimes irritating. (Sorry!)
But it's good for have fun!

there are many question that popped up when i watch this drama..why the athlete of swimming get drowned in the water so many times?
why the girl and the boy falling in love?
why all of rich man or woman meet the girl in coincidences?
why the student never study even in the class?
why the best high school is just like that?
etc..
i dont know, maybe i skip something important because i feel bored when i watch this..
it because i get bored from this drama, i cant get how good this story is. its just story about a girl and a boy falling in love in high school. the problem just showed up in laast minutes. i cant enjoy the music because i really want to finish it as soon as possible. i dont want to rewatch it because to finish this 25 episodes, it need extra hardwork...

You want to become a good father. You’re a lonely but affectionate person. That’s exactly who you are. Say it… my name.” – Jan Di
We all korean lovers know the name of this classical drama, that will forever stay in our heart."Boys over Flowers" changed the whole Asian industry and made it grow bigger than ever.I have wached all the "Boys over Flowers" versons, watched the anime and even read the manga. This korean version has cut deeply than any of the others.I LOVE everything about this wonderful tv-series.The deep and sizzling romance between the arrogant and hot-tempered Go Jun-pyo and the optimistic and hard-working Geum Jan-di,the warm friendship between Jan-di and the remarkable F4...and the uniqe brotherhood of F4.I love the songs, they couler the drama so much.I both laughed when they laughed...and cried when they cried.I was there with the main-characters from the start.I fell in love with them through their journey together. This unforgettable, severe and beautiful drama are one that will stay in our hearts forever...

Heavy second lead syndrome. Tedious, painful, ridiculous drawn out drama
I know this is an iconic drama, but I hated it. And while I offering up myself for stoning, I might as well get this off my chest; " Lee Min Ho doesn't appeal to me & his acting here doesn't impress me much. [you can put down your pitch forks though because I thought he did a stellar job in The King Eternal]. But let's be honest, the character he plays here is a gutless apathetic jerk. That any female would find him boyfriend material must mean that, said female must be shallow [to be blinded by her attraction to his looks] as well a martyr, as he is so broken & needy she must take care of him {because no one else is dumb enough to want that job !}And stating the obvious ; this drama is bogged down with a heavy second lead syndrome that it can't recover from. Grudgingly I will admit that there are some fun parts in this drama, but by the time I reached the end of the series I was numb from the recycled melodrama. Seriously, The main character's family has their jobs taken away from them, like 3 times !
By Ep 16 I realized how the relationships are going to be resolved - which just made me hate the rest of the story. Story plot lines are recycled/repeated throughout the series ad nauseum. Unsatisfactory happy ending with the dratted time skip has the story fast forwarding 4 years (!!!!!!!!) to reunite the characters & then end things abruptly (somewhat happily).

The show is basically define these young actor's career for future drama, recording artist career and in movies too. The actress as well has been in more dramas since but none as well-know or as successful as " Boy over Flowers." It's the famous , Gu Jun-pyo (Lee Min-ho) and , Yoon Ji-hoo (Kim Hyun-joong) and the girl is Geum Jan-di (Ku Hye-sun) is the " lucky" one to get a free scholarship to attend this exclusive school with the meanest teenagers around.
In the beginning if you have hate bullying and snobby people you'll be turn off by it. But hold up you need to keep watching because that is what happened to me. I stopped at the first episode or two then took back up when I got sick and had nothing left to do but watch a Kdrama with my hubby. It was worth all 20 something episodes of this beautiful drama unfold into a story about how snotty rich boys can turn into productive rich men who actually can love a normal girl. I have to say the actress was good but some times her character really annoyed me.
It's a great Kdrama for beginners who are just starting out introduced to this world called " Korean Dramas" Aka " Kdramas. It has love, comedy, serious parts, action and great sound track. You just need to give it a shot and stay with it. Anything with Lee min Ho in it is worth watching. I have to say he's gotten some plastic surgery since then though.

If your gonna watch this...prepare to shut off your brain.
This was an addicting watch but don't fool yourself- the whole plot is so horrendous that i genuinely question what the hell was going in the directors mind at the time. Sure it was 2009 and expectations/likings were different back then but that doesn't stop it from being a mess. I can't even formulate an objective-non biased review because this whole show is actually so stupid LOL.All of the main characters are cringe and dramatic, they seriously need help. The editing was done by an 11 year old. The OST has like 4 songs LMAO but its iconic.
Hye Suns acting was plain bad. Geum Jan Di.. girly pushed my buttons, I was experiencing second hand embarrassment from her the whole time. She is unbearably air-headed, overreactive, dramatic, impulsive, and the way she eats...i dont wanna shame someone for how they eat but u can't ignore it, she eats like a slob! HOW is that attractive? Literally how did so many guys drool over her? Are yall down bad for a girl who has ZERO manners. Okay yes, i'll admit that she is not necessarily a bad person because she dOeS work hard and can be considerate at times but MY GOD this woman is not smart at all because she tries to act tough in the wrong situations, she gets stupider and stupider as he episodes go by because her prince charming, one of a kind, showstopping, never seen before Gu Jun Pyo comes to always save the day!! She puts herself through abuse and toxicity. A freaking masochist, yes, thats what she is!She screams and screams and screams and the way she says "gU jUn pYo" gosh can she just stfu.
Also Jandi's parents are so weird like okay um chile-
Lee Min Ho's acting was decent, much better than Hye Sun's. But MY GOD, Gu Jun Pyo is literally just a trainwreck of a character. Man has the ugliest karen hair and of course like some other dumb tsundere, he's gotta have a sad past to make watchers have sympathy over his violent and childish actions because Jan Di won't look at him all the time. He's a bully and targets anyone who can't do what he wants because his anger issues makes up his whole personality. He has like one braincell but the writer tries so hard to make us believe he's a fucking genius. What more could i say about him? he got no personality, no flavor, except pissing everyone off.
Jan Di's and Jun Pyos relationship is literally the most hysterical thing on this earth. They fight for the dumbest reasons. Jun Pyo treated her like a pet, grabs her collar and threatened her because she talked with a guy. He beats up any guy who gets in his way. He is literally a toxic manipulative ruthless asshole. Things like forcefully taking Jandi on a vacation is so manly and attractive to our girl!! Who cares if he's emotionally and physically abusive, he takes me to rich places, buys me things, and treats me to good food, what more could i ask for?? Pff. Your in love? Nope girly u were never able to dislike him cause u want that bread, no. 1 sugar daddy!
Ji hoo is just one of those wannabe sad second leads. I just don't care, everything was so forced and poorly executed.
The F4 are all just arrogant bitchy guys who try too hard to act cool, yes, including Yi Jung. They all see the shit that Jun Pyo does but never has the sense to realize- or they do realize but don't stop him- from being a jerk. Woo Bin has no plot, he was as useless as the p in raspberry...like why... was he part of the main cast? Oh! to make up F4.
Anyways here are some of the positives:
Ga Eul and Ji Yungs relationship was much more interesting. Don't get me wrong, they acted childish at times but at least communicated better, they put their dreams first before a risky relationship. Right person wrong time (don't worry its a happy ending, if u care)
Jandi's friend and Jun Pyos "fiance" were really the only characters i liked. At least they had some sort of common sense and didn't try to put themselves in obvious troubling situations. Jun Pyos fiance (whatever her name is) was pretty mature and cared about others but was smart enough to never put herself below anyone. Though Ga Eul was pretty naive as well, she was still mature enough to follow her dreams and form the better solutions for her wellbeing.
Anyways, if you choose to watch this mAsTeRpIeCe, just be sure to shut off all your logical thinkings skills.
