A hidden jem
I want to write my first ever review for "The most ordinary romance" because it was that good of a watch.I never felt the urge to review anything, not even my favourite dramas, but this movie's score is way too low and it doesn't give it justice.
The story was intriguing and captivating, the cast was brilliant, the dialogues very realistic yet entertaining and the ending satisfying.
Just give it a try and ignore the not-so-positive reviews, it is an amazing movie full of romance, comedy and realistic everyday life full of flaws.

Could Gong Hyo Jin have picked a bad drama? I guess her character was okay, but the movie didn't help her at all. The biggest part of the plot was them drinking and one of them being drank and not knowing what they were doing. The romance, thus, was messy and never really developed properly. The timeline was messy too. The performances, however, where great, but all the actors are pretty amazing, so that was no surprise.
So, overall, four out of ten.

Office Outings Unfiltered
Have you ever been to an office outing and had a few drinks? Have you ever been cheated on? Has a colleague ever spread rumors about you? Have you ever consumed ten bottles of Soju in one sitting? Have you ever been around all that and found a shining light amongst all the chaos? Someone to love…I liked this movie because it felt like it was about real people. People were living their lives and sometimes making mistakes. Unfiltered and raw at times with non-stop comedy on top of it. A great drama that shows, in realistic detail, the victims of infidelity.
Gong Hyo Jin’s portray of Sun Young was terrific. She never disappoints. I loved this character. She was strong, authentic, and unfiltered. Kim Rae Won was every bit as good as Jae Hoon, the leader in the office. He spent his nights drinking himself into a stupor, trying to forget a woman who cheated on him right before their wedding. Yet, together these two found romance in the most unlikely of settings.
Give it a try. It’s worth the time.

I think maybe I have a very different opinion about this movie than a lot of other people. My biggest dislike about this movie is how many characters are cheaters. I just find it very distasteful (the significant other who is cheating and the person the significant other is cheating with are both equally disgusting to me). With that being said, cheating and lying between characters is what the plot is built on to propel the story, so I wasn't crazy about the overall movie by the end. BUT the movie was good for it's entertainment factor. There were quite a few humorous moments when watching interactions between characters during specific scenes. The ending was also happily-ever-after so that was good. I also found that the 2 MCs had good chemistry and the supporting cast were well selected and just as entertaining to witness.
Honestly, there's not a lot of plot progression - everyone is simply getting drunk/unwinding after work and trying to get over their ex/significant others in their own ways. It's a pretty chill plot, so if people don't mind the cheater sub-plot then I suppose it would be much more entertaining. *shrugs*
Personally, I don't think I would recommend this movie to anyone - it wasn't a bad movie, but it wasn't particularly good for it to stand out to be recommendable against other amazing-er movies. XD

i really loved it i loved that the idea is not based on sexual relation .. really amazing
this movie for me is one of those movies that made you happy after watching it
Because i believe that
Good and kind people should meet at last
it was based more on how alike people attracted to each other
no matter how much time you spend to fall in love before, if he was the wrong person you'll take ages to love him/her and take a while to forget him/her
BUT
if he/she was the right person you are going to attract to him/her even in a little time
both were similar in bad experiences, so normally souls meet
they even reach the limit of having eye contact to understand each other
i already loved both leads so much,
especially (Rae Won) he is not handsome for me but i saw him so attractive specially his smile so cute
he delivered me every right feeling in this movie by his face expression
especially
when he can't hold himself not to look at her
when he was surprised when she kissed him
and when he avows with love to her at the restaurant
and when he entered the restaurant and saw her at the end
and many other cute scenes
what i dislike the most about the movie was the end (AS USUAL THE) (EPILOGUE)
starting suddenly when she cracked his phone with no replying for his avow
THEN, 3 months later ????????????????????????
WHY ???
then suddenly text message
this was completely COLD
it was happy ending in a very lukewarm way :(
but excluding the end i really loved it ^^

Another one in my list
I am a sucker for romcom and this one surely is in my list...considering Kim Rae Won as the lead actor. He just suits the genre...he can pull it off whatever character he has to portray. He complements any leading lady and makes the viewer feel like they are the one (like in my case). His look, smile, gesture are all so natural that makes it look such a good chemistry.Whilst the story is a real to some of the viewers, I like how the writer left some thoughts to ponder -- like, could you really fall for someone who just met, while drunk? Is it not worth going back to the same person who left you, considering you were languishing in pain and comfort of alcohol? I guess these questions makes each of our experiences unique and different from others albeit it is still 'breaking up'.
Infusing the plot with other's own share of pain and struggle with their own love story, gave a balanced idea of the theme.
Worth watching at 2am!

Breezy, light, fun under no one's expense
This is a definition of light, breezy movie. You expose two recently broken up characters with different values interact with each other with lots of misunderstanding and slowly recover from their pasts in a 2 hr movie. Both main characters had sufficient depth and character growth, even when we get frustrated at the perinniel drinking or bad mouthing, we slowly warm up to them and what caused them to act this way. And we see some definitive growth by the end.
Except for excessive alcohol induced interactions, I would definitely watch this movie again

It's more Ordinary than Crazy
Crazy Romance (2019)Gong Hyo Jin is the queen of romcom! 😊 Supposedly the literal translation of this movie is "The Most Ordinary Romance" and I think it is more appropriate than "Crazy".
There's nothing crazy about the movie, just 2 adults who came out of failed relationships, had misunderstandings and gradually (or grudgingly) fell in love. I like it because it felt real.
The only thing I didnt like was there were too many drunk scenes that I was also confused like them if what they were saying were sincere or it was the liquor talking. But i think from the very start they already noticed each other, and felt the same pull, that's why even heartbroken they couldnt stay away.
Rating: 8.5/10

Confusing
It was a confusing Movie. Hate love kind of things. Both characters were dysfunctional because of previous relationship. The female lead had more dysfunctional behaviors because of her also social issues that she had been put thru. While they were drunk they liked each other but when then the next morning came it seem like different people because of hiding there true feelings. There co workers did not help or his friends. The ending left me confuse and wondering. The actors did a great job but the story was just not funny. I found it sad and not enjoyable. Was this review helpful to you?
