I'm absolutely in love with this show. Even though only 3 episodes have aired I've been totally hooked on it since the first one! Both main couples are super interesting and the side couples look promising as well.
This is also the first show that I find the ENTIRE cast so good! Literally EVERYONE is doing an amazing job! The domundi boys are all incredible, with -imo- Poppy really standing out. He's definitely my favorite comic-relief character of all the BL's I've watched.. His acting is hilarious while never going over the top! Jimmy is doing amazing as well as a newcomer and I think he really really suits Sai Fah's character. And Saint, well... is Saint.. always adorable and loveable af.
So if you're wondering if WHY RU is worth watching, well my answer is DEFINITELY YES! So far it's been super enjoyable, I can't wait for the rest of the episodes to be released and update my review<3

This has to be one of the series that must watch. The actors commitment to the character assigned to them ? they delivered their role perfectly. The story is well thought out. I love every character especially hwahwa!! Hahaha you’ll know why u watch it. OST is okay and it perfectly matches The series. Tbh, the intro of the series is a little bit meh but still i continued watching. I didn’t put much attention on the other side stories tho, sorry for that. But still love it.

A must watch and highly recommended bl series.

Must to watch!!!
I’m glad I didn’t listened to the negative reviews, this became one of my favorite dramas ever.
It’s definitely not perfect, mostly because of the Covid-19 issues, they couldn’t complete the Saifah Zon storyline but why I love this show is the story of Tutor Fighter. The harmony and love between them just radiating and warming up your heart. Saint and Zee are brilliant in their roles, I can’t praise them enough. Their chemistry is off the charts, the way how they look at each other, I have never seen another couple like them. Their love scenes are smoking hot yet gentle and full of love.
I started to rewatch it again and again, I can’t get over it, it’s highly addictive.
I’m hoping there will be a season 2, I definitely want more of the beautiful love story of Tutor and Fighter.

STORY- The beginning of the show was great. I liked the whole novel concept and how they included parts that looked like a webtoon. I liked the couples and I really thought that this would become one of my favorite BL. But as the story went along if felt like everything started to fall apart. I do know that production was interrupted by the pandemic, but I think the problems started before then. The show did not do a good job of giving the two main couples equal screen time. Also the shows ending was rushed and did not really answer any questions. The story is just a mess.

ACTING- I liked the cast, I felt that the two main couples had great chemistry. The acting is really great and was the best part of this show.

MUSIC- I really don't remember any songs that stood out to me.

Rewatch- The only reason I would watch this show again would be for the acting and chemistry between the cast.

Why R U changing your score from a 7.5 to a 9.0?

I’ll be frank, the first time I watched this I was really into the first couple episodes, and then got kind of turned off of it when I felt like the relationship development had been rushed (unfortunately, due to COVID-19). After which point, I really wasn’t impressed.

Now, I do still feel like Saifah and Zon’s sudden keenness on one another was a little jarring, but the second watch felt a little more organic. Really, the second watch had me appreciating Fighter and Tutor way more than I had in the first watch. They had electric chemistry, some of the best in I’ve seen in a BL, and I can’t believe I didn’t acknowledge this with my first viewing.

There’s essentially two stories, which they somehow made work despite the fact that it could have easily gotten extremely messy. Especially considering the fact that each has a completely different tone. Saifah and Zon’s story is definitely geared toward comedy. They bounce off of each other well and Zon’s friends are kind of hilarious in all honesty. Fighter and Tutor’s story is more of a horny drama with a lot of repressed feelings. Love the enemies to lovers storyline, especially with how absolutely Whipped Fighter is for Tutor.

Acting was pretty good. Saint has definitely improved since Love by Chance which was cool to see. Especially since Tutor was so different from Pete.

The OST was a ton of fun. I’ve downloaded like half the songs.

If you asked we a week ago whether or not I recommend Why R U, I would have said no. However, this rewatch has definitely changed my tune. I would recommend this drama for anyone looking for a BL with a good mix of comedy to drama. Alongside the great cast and sizzling chemistry, it’s absolutely worth the watch.

This was my first BL drama and i lowkey feel like i I just loved it because of how hot the guys were...?????... like this show will make you forget what the actually focus of the story is.
Saint is a great actor and i loved zees character , everyone did really well.
When i first watched it i couldnt help but be confused and cringe somewhat but i I don't know. The story line was pretty basic and is just set up for fan service. Doesn't really feel like theres much to it, but the actor's were really cute and great. If you like attractive guys and then being cute and a small good amount of drama , this is the show for you. Small in comparison to the amount of fan service.

This drama is underrated. I've just finished watching and I loved sooo much the work of the four male leads!! It was the boldest BL production I've watched, I guess, both breaking the stereotype of the controlling and aloof seme and the submissive meak uke. All of them felt like real people – even when making stupid decisions, it was on character (cof cof, Tor). I understand they had a few problems with the COVID to finish this drama, so we didn't have all we could with the secondary couples. Also, Son and Saifah's storyline suffered from it. BUT. The ending was beautiful, everyone got to the finishing line happy, hopeful, and with closure.

The last – but not least – the actors did a phenomenal job here! I just can't believe that this was Zee's first main role. Not so much on the beginning, but from the middle to the end all his emotions were raw, it felt so real his conflicts and feelings... And Saint, after his work on Love By Chance (which is on my top 5 favorites), it is soo refreshing to see him play a character that is more complex and that actually express emotions and takes the lead. Fight and Tutor felt like equals on the relationship, both with their on struggles and difficulties (which the actors brought us so well).

And how not to mention Zon's funny, light, but also so deep character? I was ready to grade him as comic relief when he started to show other sides and try to understand himself and what was going on around him (if it was true that they weren't on a BL novel). I think he was refreshing mostly, because of the way he dealt with his growing feelings for Saifah. There wasn't the usual self recrimination, but there was doubt – and Saifah was there to give him support and help him all the way. They were complementary, and it was soo good and sweet to watch their almost naivee feelings for each other grow in contrast to the more angst heavy line for Fighter and Tutor!!

And let's not forget Zon's mom reaction to the couple her daughter was shipping on her novel: "I support you". I swear I could almost picture her saying a "jia you" or "fighting" for the two of them. It was just wonderful and funny!!

Of course, not everything was perfect. There were truly a few problems with overcrowded characters, as they didn't have chapters nor screen time enough to develop all their stories as they should. On one hand, I only noticed this because their stories felt promising and sooo funny at times, but on the other hand, the problem remains that even though they had a good ending (in the way that it gave us hope and closure), it was still rushed, and wasted so much potential! Also, Zol's story was barely there, even though she was the mastermind behind the entire show kkkkkk. She was a amazing character that I wanted to have seen a bit more of – she deserved the screen time.

Apart from this things, I was surprised to actually watch entire episodes without skipping through or fast forwarding any unnecessary, filler-like scenes (sans that ONE ep on the beach – once you watch you'll know what I mean – but that was not their fault, it was due to COVID counteract measures, so there is nothing to say on it – the fact that they kept shooting at all was a bit of a shock, actually).

So I would definitely recommend and mark it as a definite rewatch!

What I like most about this series is that they have the best OST and I especially like Pantherist OST. Everytime Saifah and Zon comes into the scene, that’s when you know this song will play. These 2 are the cutest couple and Zon acting innocent haha.. for fighter and tutor I also love their chemistry. Their story in the story was well developed but as their story goes on, it got a bit boring. I know it’s because of the pandemic that SaiZon didn’t get a lot of scenes (even when they’re the main lead as well) and FighTor did but their story got a bit messed up and not well organized. So I kinda hope for this series to do a remake with the same cast in the future when the pandemic is over. Overall, I think this series will be better if it wasn’t for the pandemic ruining the scenes they haven’t taken in advance yet. Let’s hope for the best and support these actors because they did a great job carrying their roles.

P.S. it’s Saifah first series so congratulations to him for giving his best in this WhyRUseries

Why RU About?

Unfortunately I have to join the ranks of people who just didn't get what this drama was about. I have a feeling some of this is due to the terrible subtitle translation. There were probably whole nuances to the show that the subtitles just missed. The Fighter/Tutor relationship is so good that it almost makes up for it, hence the 5.5 stars and that I managed to complete the show at all. I found myself fast forwarding through the other relationships. The minor romances were so minor, I didn't see the point to including them. Zon/Saifah had no chemistry for me and the light-hearted silliness of their relationship had no sex appeal. The good news is the show is completely watchable following Fighter/Tutor and FFing through the rest. For better or worse, the rest of the plot has no bearing and can be missed. SPOILER! the "honeymoon" episodes are so beautiful, sensual, hot and romantic. These two actors redefined what bl chemistry can be.

I would give it 10/10 for the lovely parts. I've been stressed a work a lot these days and came for the beach scenes repeatedly just to get my endorphine levels higher to get through the day. It worked better than chocolat and that's saying something. The actors are great, the scenes are cute, and the scenery... omg, I want to travel to Thailand right now. Also, I really loved Tutor's boss from the bakery and some other side characters like Tutor's sister - she was an interesting side-story all on her own. BUT. Cuteness aside, the storylines are underdevelopped (the "being in the novel" part had so much more potential!), the storylines are rushed (so one day, Fighter explodes on his father, and that one not only completely changes his views, but he immediatelly sends a video with apology to Tutor. Sure. As if stuff like that "just happens"). It's a pitty, the series could've been truly great. It had it all: promising premises, interesting characters, good actors, lovely sceneries with loads of atmosphere (not just the beach, the bakery was a little piece of heaven to my eyes as well, and the interiors of Tutor's a Fighter's rooms were very nice). The execution though sadly lacked some important details.

I read reviews here before watching this one so I did not expect much, but boy I was surprised. This is a very, very, very wholesome show, and by wholesome, I mean the nonexistence of nonconsensual and problematic acts. And I need to emphasize that the women in this show are so nice. The story is light. And I just need to say that the people who loved 2gether would love this even more. I feel like it effectively used BL tropes haha.

It's not a perfect show but it's cute and sweet. I don't get the people saying that the plot is nothing. The story of Fighter and Tutor was pure and precious. For this one, I really felt the depth of the relationship. They had mutual feelings for a long time and both, especially Fighter, had the struggle of processing and expressing their feelings. And SaifahZon has got to be one of the cutest couples I have seen in a BL. Most people say that the transition between SaiZon is too fast but I actually am just fine with it. For me, their beef before was nothing deep so I understand that they instantly changed their relationship with each other after spending moments together. Plus, Zon’s character was so refreshing to watch. His inner monologues about BL gave me life. For other couples, I honestly didn't care much.

Other than MewGulf's cameo, I was more surprised at BoomPeak!! It has been years since I last checked on them. They have grown so much!! It felt nostalgic haha.

Now, for the acting. I mentioned before that I really didn't like Saint's acting in LBC but man he has improved so much! I was surprised at his performance for this one. I feel his sincerity and dedication to improving his acting. Jimmy was fine, better than I expected after reading that he was kinda new to acting. Tommy was cute as hell. He had great expressions too. Ok, now, Zee. This man instantly became one of my favorite actors in Thailand. His acting was no joke!!! Literally every scene of his looked natural. The only breakup/angsty scene I remember crying over was that of Sotus, and almost this one. He delivered so well and I couldn’t stop talking about how good his acting was!!! His emotional scenes were so felt. And not to mention how sexy he was in their bed scenes haha. Overall I liked the acting. There were almost zero cringe moments for the main actors. The chemistry of ZeeSaint was unbelievable! They looked so good together. The rest of the casts did too. I honestly just focused watching the four MCs haha.

The thing I didn’t like about this was the balancing of events. For the first 2 episodes, I think, I felt like I was high watching the show with all the perspectives of Zon. Anyway the screen time distribution between the 2 main couples wasn't seamless. I am talking about the transition and not the amount of screen time. Given the restriction they got due to the pandemic, I understand the lack of development for SaiZon. I don't know if they finished filming all other scenes for FighterTutor but their relationship after they got together seemed too focused on sex only. Not that I am complaining haha but of course, I would like to see more development in other aspects as well. I don't know if the length of the scenes from their beach trip was as intended but they were kind of too long for me. I mean they served the purpose of making the audience feel the romance and fluff of the show, but maybe it was just me. Too much screen time was given to FighterTutor's beach trip that I kinda felt the conflict and resolution of the story were rushed towards the end. Also I was annoyed at how Tutor responded to the conflict given by Fighter's father. I felt really bad for Fighter. That was when I really appreciated how well written Fighter’s character was.

I felt like I needed more Fighter scenes in the first half of the show, being a main character. For the first half, I felt like I knew Zon so much more than Fighter. The ending was kind of underwhelming too, if that was what they originally intended. I know the beach is essential to the story of the main couple, but the use of it was really too repetitive for me haha. Also I just need to mention that the main opening song used at the first half sounded, I don't know, weird for me.

If you want a show that is cute and light-themed, I would go for this (rather than 2gether haha). It delivered what 2gether was trying to be. I like both series by the way---just light and fluffy. Anyway I hope we get a second season that is not constrained. I am giving this an 8. This show was nice but it could better.

A simple love story connected to the reality

I have never written a review but seeing how different opinions are about this series I decided to write my own review for the first time.

Let's start with the plot. Many watchers haven't realised what the actual plot is, when in reality this is because the plot isn't as complicating as other series. It's just a love stroy between the two main couples and the hardships they go through in order to stay together. It's not that deep or complicating and since we're not used to such simple plots, it often appears boring or weird. But the reality is actually far from it. It's easy to see that the couples connect from the beginning of the series somehow, each with their own story. But the content of each couple and each character individually is different. Problems that the LGBTQ+ community is facing everyday are addressed such as homophobia, internalised denial to the character's sexuality, fear of how the others may judge a gay relationship.

Another thing that surprised me positively was the fact that the characters would ask their significant other for consent before proceeding to any sexual activity. We see equally consentual sexual intercourse which personally made me really comfortable and safe with the relationships shown.

Now when it comes to acting. We see various characters, main couples and side couples. Not everyone's acting performance was amazing, thats for sure. But since most of those actors aren't as experienced as others, we can see that they're trying their best they can resulting in a pretty nice and "natural" outcome.

I think it's a pretty nice and decent series. It doesn't involve any toxicity (aside from a scene or two) and it addresses matters that gay couples face in real life. I could say that it keeps in touch with the reality we're facing and that's why i believe that it's a series that especially an lgbtq+ person can relate to and find comforting.

Since it didn't have much plot twists or complicity, i don't think there's really any reason to rewatch this series aside from someone who wants to rewatch something that doesn't require much attention.

In general, I don't think i had anything i disliked, maybe the fact that Zon's sister's bl fan fiction was mentioned a lot. It wasn't the best show I've watched, but it was nice and interesting to an extent.
