Emperors and Me (2019)

I'll give this drama a 3.5/10.

This is the worst Chinese drama that I have watched this year. There is no thing to like in this drama. I find the story poor written, the transition between the present and the past is too quick. There is no enough story built or even a strange thing happening when the female lead first got in to the past. They just fell in the building and suddenly they are not in the present time. The people in the past didn't even ask them what they are wearing nor find them odd. They just treat them "normal" even it is obvious that they are out of the ordinary. And the fighting scenes are awful. If you look carefully they are just literally spitting the blood out of their mouth (I think it is in the first 3 episodes). Even the effects and the love story between the main leads are terrible too.

Not recommendable and in my opinion this drama will just waste your time so don't bother watching it.

Not like much

First episode trailor looked interesting so I had
Decided to watch this drama , From first episode the theme of the story started but second to some furthers episodes was boring . Story was good but direction of the drama ,I don't like . They stretched the drama too much. Only doctory story connected me , The way he cried that is too emotional . Atleast this drama completed his story but at the end they didn't show this character . Really too bad direction . Every last part of the drama put in the confusion that there is any 2nd season or not .
I don't like the drama much .

Wasted Potential

This drama started of very promising. I started this drama because I loved the concept. I have watched several historical, timetravel Cdrama's and this is the only one where the main characters go back and forth in time more than once, and timetravel in itself is delved into. But it went downhill really fast and the story dragged for almost half the drama.

I really liked the FL's power of travelling through time, and how she brought the emperors to the present with her. Though after 2, it became a bit much. But I hated the FL so much. I was hesitant to watch this drama because of the FL actress who played the second FL that I resented in another drama (one of the reasons was because of her acting). I somehow hated her even more in this one because for a person who comes from the modern world, she should know better. Her stupidity got on my nerve. Anyone who knows anything about historical (and present) Kings and Queens, knows that you should speak respectfully and bow to them when you first see them. She was so disrespectful to all of the emperors when she first met them as emperors. She also expected the emperors to somehow know their way around the modern world immediately after arriving there. She has the audacity to be rude and scold them for being afraid of cars or not knowing how to use the shower. I mean she is responsible for teaching them about the modern world because she brought them to it.

I really liked the three emperors, they all have very different personalities (which you can say make one whole):
- 1st emperor: The muscle. A fighter and a strategist who out of the three, had the most successful reign. He is also, somehow the dumbest in the modern world, but then again his reign was the earliest of the three.
- 2nd emperor: The heart. A very emotionally driven person, who out of the three, had the toughest life (in the sense that he should have died but was mercifully kept alive but tortured). He also had all the characteristics of a typical SL.
- 3rd emporor: The brain. The smartest character in the entire drama, he also arrived the latest, but to me he was the best. Out of the three emperors, the 3rd is definitely my type. He was also the least emotionally driven and his personality made the most sense out of all the characters. I love that he didn't seem to really develop any romantic attachments to the FL as the other two did.

The drama had so much potential to create a really good time traveling plot. I genuinely thought that these historical figures would go to the modern world, either make a new life for themselves or learn to rule their empires better by learning about history, or something. But the plot litterally went nowhere. All that happened for half the drama was that the FL would accidentally go to the past and bring an emperor to the present. And this only took place within a few episodes. After that, nothing happened until the last few episodes when the characters finally realise, what we, as the audience already knew on the first episode, we do get a bit more information (which at this point is useless). I have never seen a drama that was as dragged as this because any relevant plots in that drama take place in around 10 episodes in total.

My favourite characters in this drama were the FL's best friend who gets stuck in time and the 3rd emperor. I also really liked the other two emperors, but their feelings for the FL annoyed me a bit. One thing I couldn't understand is why everyone loves the FL so much (other then the neighbour with the fringe), other then her powers, she had nothing going for her, not even personality wise. All the emperors had more going for them when they came to the modern world, then the FL did in the modern world. They all got really good jobs and seemed to be earning a lot of money, whilst the FL is just an intern at a company that almost got her sexually assaulted, publicly in a room full of coworker. I also really wanted the 2nd emperor to get his sister back, I loved his relationship with his sister so much, but the ending ruined almost everything good about this drama. The only thing I liked about the ending was that the FL's doctor friend got his HEA, and he deserved it more then anyone, same with his girlfriend.

This was also the only (so far) historical Cdrama I've watched where I wanted the ML and FL to get a HEA in the past (in the ML's world/empire).

I like the plot, just because I could not guess what is going to happen next. It is very interesting until the last few episodes where I felt there was a bit of a rush job. The ending was also a cliffhanger, you may interpret it either way. Did she meet up with her true love in the future or not?

The emperor's characters were all done well and very convincing. All the actors are good to look at and dashing. I could not figured out their split personalities until the last few episodes. However, I am not a fan of the female lead because she seemed too ignorant on what is happening around her. A slightly stronger female lead may have balanced the whole thing out.

Worth the watch for a good laugh and eye-candid emperors, but rewatching value is low for me.

The story really interesting. A young girl who bring back 3 emperor from 3 different dynasty back to present time. Usually when there is time travelling like this, they stay in the past not come to the future. But this drama opposite, bring the past person to live in the future, very interesting right... Also the one got to pick is usually the man not the woman, here the woman got 3 man to choose. ^_^

The story of 3 kind of different man. Qin Shang (QS) very arogant, Mu Rong Yu (MRY) is very manipulative and adaptable, Guo Yan (GY) is smart and cunning. Every man bring their own characteristic and finally their own way to protect Luo Xi (LX). Everytime she bring man back, they smarter than before ^_^

Flaw:
> Sometimes the producer seems not thinking about economy factor of the Role. Here the main role is just an college student, but here she take care 2 man. How can she buy meal, buy clothes for them and go to hospital a few times (how to pay the bill)... :D. When the 3rd man arrived, 2 other man already got job so yeah maybe they can help with the money, never really explained here :p

Lack: The drama is too short... Only 30 min every episode. Feel like just watch it's already ending ^_^

Re-watch: don't think so. Interesting drama, but not enough to make me want to re-watch

Heart touching

Overall I totally liked the story, acting and all...it will just make our heart jump with joy sometimes while at other times it will just...make us cry. I was soooooooooooo addicted to it. But I won't recommend watching it again coz...I guess u won't like to feel the pain again? This really made me cry and laugh but I'm a bit confused about the end. Totally loved it and I added it to my favs too!! (it has only 13 dramas so far ;) )
Now about the actors. They did a veryyyyyy good job here coz I totally fell in love with them, especially the first emperor coz he was sooooo....naive but brave XD

Female lead(Luo xi) is way more stupid and annoying

The drama is not way too bad. Fantasy, action,little funny,time travelling etc.......
Story was main based on female lead. She was reason of all.
First I found the main lead Luo Xi(of course female) annoying and stupid. Not only these life but also past life. She was the reason of all characters downfall. Even for her main lead die for twice( technically 5). Whatever.. She left her best friend(I don't think so she think like that) in ancient time and come back. After come back she literally forgot about her and started to romance with main lead. Then also 2nd and 3rd time she forgot to bring her that friend who always help her and treat her like sister and more. But her friend didn't complain much. In whole drama I had she seen her crying for her deeds to her friend for 2/3 times. Rreally dissapointing?
The 1st main male lead role, Qin Shang was also kinda stupid but quite handsome and good fighter.?
The 2nd main male lead Mu Rong Yu was too emotional type. I liked him when he was in his ancient time as king with long hair. But when he cut down his hair in current world he looked too girly to me.?
But I like Guo Yan (3rd main male lead) most. He was not in good health( became healthy after ariving at current world) but he was inteligent and hansome too. In my opinion he was more handsome than other two. He was good loking in both times(ancient and current). But I liked his inteligence most.

The drama is easy to guess what next can happen.
Good point: Funny and little romantic and for good casting with new actors, All episodes are in English subbed at mango YouTube channel.
Bad point: Misleading of historical points (But it is not historical drama), Not feeling of enjoyable drama as Go Princess Go (Time travel drama).
Music: Fair but not enjoyable
Photographic: Fair and most events of drama are happened in modern times.
Re-watch value: Never re-watch , in current time slot the most popular dramas are Legends (Wuxia), I will never let you go (Wuxia), Goodbye my princess (Fictional Historical ), Story of Minglan (Fictional Historical- finished airing).
