It is definitely a great quick show to watch!

I definitely think a lot of people are being a little harsh on the show in the other reviews. This show was very sweet and cute for what it was, as a show that only had 18 episodes that were all 15 minutes long. I definitely think the show was very great, plus the ending was super heartwarming. It was the perfect fairytale ending that most people like. If you’re a avid watcher of J dramas, I definitely think you will like this. It has the amazing J drama charm that makes them unique compared to any other type of asian dramas, definitely would recommend!

story: about 3 common girls who gets into a reality show to be the princesses of 4 prince who are not prince but just really rich dudes. the half of the story was them playing silly with each other the other half with misunderstanding. like any other typical drama which is far from reality. what i did like in this story is the girls friendship. since i thought they would be at each others throat but it was actually the best part of this drama how they become friends. the drama was 18 episodes with maximum 15 minutes i think. the drama cut a lot of information which just gives us a show which is going on in the present but the problems are from the past which didn't even seem like legit problems to begin with. it just made me want to slap the characters in the head and tell them to get their acts straight. anyway i will give the story 3/5

characters: let me just tell i didn't even get why the mc was mc. sure this is a cliche drama but i didn't find anything special in her half of the time she spent shouting and being stupid. only drama guys would think she changed their life and fall in love with her. like heck i don't just get the logic. the characters had character growth out of nowhere because they got each others support which i also don;t get. i just felt their so called problems were not really problems but them just being stupid stubborn airheads and pricks.

to be honest this was supposed to be a light watch and i did enjoy some parts but most parts i wanted to kick them.

Its not that bad honestly ?

I personally like K-dramas, but I watched this suddenly with my sisters. When we read the story line and it included the word “quirky” for the main character, we knew that this drama is gonna be worth it, lol.

I really recommend it because its really short and nice, each episode is almost 13 mins, and Im pretty sure you’ll laugh. Its so funny yet stupid and unrealistic, TOTALLY OF COURSE. But honestly I really liked it haha.

Yup thats all, again, its really short so if your bored or anything, watch it on your free time, trust me you’ll love it, lol.

"Finding Out What Those Important Things is What Life is About" (Mugi's Mom, English Sub)

First and foremost warning: Watch it at your own expense!
When I saw the poster and synopsis stating that there are 4 young Onzoshi (meaning son of a distinguished family) for 3 high school girls, I smelled something fishy about it. And that is the plot of this drama.
Unlike most of my reviews, I will stated what I don't like first then what I like, so you don't need to waste more time to read as you wish.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THIS DRAMA:
(-) Bad story especially how it turns out. I am not discriminating against age or gender, but it seems like the story is written by a high school girl for a school project. Signs: recipe how to make peeled orange snack and Yu's make up tip to name a few.
(-) This drama seriously need a PG, Parental Guidance, lol. Not because of violence, language, drug, or nudity. But because of the message given. If you are in age who can give advice to teenage girls, please watch this drama first before recommending it to the youngsters.
(-) The message taken from this drama can be toxic to teenage girls. Mugi's written reason in the contest application: "A girl's life is decided by her marriage. Even if I get into a good university I won't have a stable future set for me. I want to find a marriage partner with high specs and get married to him!" (English sub) Or Yuu's reason: to make her mom happy. Or Fumino's reason: to revenge her past bullies. The drama message can be positive IF the ending is different than I expected... but read the next negative point below:
(-) The ending! I am a sucker for happy ending and wickedly cheat to find out that every drama I want to watch end happily. This drama ends happily alright, but after going thru the turmoils I rather not seeing a happy ending. Especially not for the main FL. She better walks out being single and establishes her own career as a dance coreographer. Or even a time lapse that in the future after some growing up process she meets one of her guys again giving out a possibly for a happy ending or an open ending. I will still accept that.
(-) This drama stole some ideas from Hana Dori Yango franchise: 4 young, handsome, talented, rich guys; poor childish FL, FL from food business family (Meteor Garden 2018), cold mean ML, FL likes someone first ends up with another, FL rides bike, FL is underdressed in a party, FL fell into the pool, FL cannot dance ends up stepping on ML's foot, boys in the swimming pool (MG 2018), FL wearing wedding dress, competing first and second MLs, long time boys friendship, long time female friend for the boys, rich mean female villain... too many not to notice the HDY replicas. I will not complain if this drama is done right, but since it is bad this is straight an insult to the classic HDY.
(-) The cringey scene with girls wearing wedding dresses. It does not matter what religion/belief, cultural background, or situation is, wearing wedding attire is to be taken sacredly and seriously unless for modelling or acting purpose.
(-) The unnecessary scenes with half naked boys. First scene (Riku) okay... she needs to see that; second scene (in the swimming pool)... copying Meteor Garden 2018, anyone??? third scene (in the sauna)... wow!!! OK I get it, the drama is targeted to squealing teenage girls.
(-) The main couple chemistry is bad. I though I saw some promising spark when ML and FL look and smile at each other for the first time, but disappointing after that.
(-) The boys' acting are mediocre. Since now the boys are maybe too old to act in future Kamen Rider shows, they better work harder if they want to act in other genres. Only Iijima Hiroki acting as Taiga is okay IMO.
(-) The boys' costume (mismatch prints???)

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS DRAMA:
(+) Fast paced, easy for binge watching (18 episodes x 15 minutes = 4 1/2 hours)
(+) Some funny dialogues and hilarious scenes (although drama cliches)
(+) The friendship between the Mugi, Yuu, and Fumino, and the sisterhood between Mugi and her dance crew.
(+) The second and the third couples, which develop naturally. The second couple's chemistry is good, and the third couple's chemistry is okay
(+) I watched this drama solely for the actress Taira Yuna who is adorable in the lovely movie Honey (read my review about it). She surprised me she can be a hilarious comedian, since her role as Mugi here is straight stupid, naive, yet comical and hysterical.
(+) The other actresses' acting are good too.
(+) Beautiful scenery and scenes in the winter resort

Here we have Japanese Bachelor in Paradise and if you’re wondering why there is four guys but only three girls it is because no piece of media can exist in which there is not a love triangle. The story was predictable even when it tried to throw a curve ball. Nothing was surprising and the problems that arose were shit that really shouldn’t have matter anyways but what do I know? I am not rich and do not understand the intricacy of wanting to become a manga writer or a sushi chef and not running the family business. However, I think the strength of this drama was with the fact that it was only 18 episodes in total and the episodes were only 15 mins each. I didn’t have time to marinate on how wack this whole setup was because it was already over.

All the characters were insipid and man I would kill to see a romantic Japanese drama where the female lead wasn’t poor, happy go lucky and ridiculously naive. (If yall have any suggestions let me know!) That being said, Mugi wasn’t all bad just basic as fuck and definitely my least favorite girl next to the mega bitch, Tsubaki. My favorite boy was actually, Teru, because I love guys with curly hair. My least favorite boy was Taiga and that was because he was so cute until he smiled; I don’t like his teeth. At this point you’re thinking to yourself, why such vain commentary? Because it is a vain drama. Yup yup. I don’t know why anyone fell for anyone except that someone said something nice and they kept thinking about it. There was apparently growth or whatever with the characters but yawn. I’m sorry but exactly why are 17 year olds promising men in their 20s to be with them forever? Mmm. These relationships cannot be sustained in any way, shape or form.

Overall, I think you could check this out if the depression kitty has snuck up on you like it did to me! Like, if you have better things to do, but can’t seem to get out of bed to do it then here’s something that’ll make four hours go by like nothing.

It was amazing!

The show, first of all, could be classified as cheesy but if you're anything like me, you enjoy cheesy things. Sometimes I did find myself staring off into space because some of the scenes were extremely cheesy. However, this show has left an impression on me! :)

The story as a whole was kind of basic but also had its good points. I liked how the show started and how the ‘Princes’ or ‘Noble Boys’ had the girls go through competitions and also, how they decided which girls to pick in general. There was a very satisfying ending.

I really like that one of the three girl main characters was rude. She wasn’t sweet and super kind to everybody around her. I also enjoyed how all the characters developed and how they all had backstories to explain why they acted the way that they did. I really liked how the guys, in the end, had decided to ‘rebel’ against their parents and not rely on them anymore.

The music… was great! I actually enjoyed singing along with the music. I don’t usually find myself humming or singing along with the music but this time, the music was very catchy.

Overall, the show was really great and I would totally rewatch this someday.

So far this is a really cute watch. I kept seeing this on the Drama Nice homepage and clicked on it because I was curious. To my surprise Inaba Yu was one of the cast members (and I have the biggest crush on him) so I naturally kept watching. It's actually not bad. It's a rom-com about 3 ''common'' young women who get to spend some time with celeb princes after competing with tons of other women. It's pretty obvious how the story will pan out from about episode 2 but I guess that can't be helped considering each episode is 15 minutes.

I remember the female lead from the movie Honey, and just like in Honey she is a pleasure to watch in Onzoshi Boys. I really love Inaba Yu's role here as Teru (not just because I like him) so much so that if I hated this drama, he would genuinely be my only reason for watching. Luckily, all the characters keep me intrigued somehow. Also, Isamura Hayato who plays Riku starred with Inaba Yu in Waiting for Spring, so if you liked their bromance in that, you will probably like this one.

Overall, if you find yourself with nothing to do, why not check out Onzoshi Boys.

I am not trying to be too harsh but...

Onzoshi Boys is a over-the-top dating reality show filled with lots of overreaction. Looking at the big picture the story is absurd and gives the feeling of a teenagers FanFiction.

While I don’t think there was a big age gap between the couples - the fact that high school girls participated in this marriage program felt weird. Especially when the fl acts like a quirky child. Considering that the girls choose to participate because of…. well, money, duh, seems reasonable at least. Ahem.

One of the biggest flaws is the logic behind the marriage program itself. 4 Boys decide to do this whole setup just to boost their popularity and they couldn’t consider at the beginning that those girls would develop feelings for them? Also how convenient is it to have 3 girls but 4 boys just so you can add a childhood-friend at the end + this makes it easier to form a love-triangle?
The show itself was quite predictable even when it tried to take a turn. The issues it presented weren’t that heavy but I mean I never was a rich man who tried to become a mangaka - so what do I know?

The acting often wavered between good, okay and totally over the top. However, I do think the actors did a good job when they were serious and the cast was well chosen.

I also really liked the friendship that formed between the girls and their development. The chemistry between the couples wavered from good to okay however I never felt they really went to the stage in which they can wholeheartedly say „Let’s be together forever!“ - that was a bit much but the whole plot is excessive here and there, so it can be overlooked.
Plus, the music was okay - it fit the shows style really well.

The biggest strength of this drama was definitely the fact that each episode only lasted for 15 min so I never had the time to actually bother over logic or quality. So if you can overlook the absurdity of plot points, the exaggerated acting, a boring ending, and just want to enjoy a short love-story - this might be exactly for you.

Great for a quick watch

I watched this on viki with a rating of over 9.0, so I was so surprised to see it rated so low here, anyway...

This was soo funny, sweet and entertaining... it truly has that reality tv style and everything which i really liked... i laughed a lot, it was soo cringy, but funny cringy.

If you're looking for something quick to watch, when you're bored give it a try.. its meant to be short and sweet, don't over analyze it...

I plan to rewatch this when I'm bored, it was that funny and entertaining.
