A very satisfying reminiscence of Squad 38 and Hello Monster
First of all…Drilling has never looked so good in Prada.
I can’t get enough of this movie… I want more…
After only 3 episodes of Doom at Your Service, it was already more than enough that I could take.
After 1 hour and 45 minutes of Pipeline, I am not nearly satisfied. I just want more. More of the storyline, more of the great cast and more of a 16 episodes-type drama.
They should have made Pipeline into the drama and Doom at Your Service into the movie.
This is the Seo In Guk with whom we are used to… Reminiscence of Squad 38 and Hello Monster… Charming, endearing and devious with a bit of a dark and wild side.

I love the work that he obviously put on this new muscular physique of him. Also that loose hairstyle/haircut is so attractive on him.

Ok, full disclosure, I could watch Seo In Guk sit and read the entire uk telephone directory and find it enjoyable. However, this film was fun not just because of him, but because of all the other characters. His crew were all wonderfully individual characters, the main baddie was great in his role, I could almost feel my lip curling up in disgust whenever he and his minions appeared. This film made me laugh at times, wince at others, cheer the next minute., and there even a few "oh nooooooo" moments in there.Honestly, i think Drill Bit and his crew has at least a sequel in them, if not an entire drama! This film was way too short and kept my interest until the end, which came way too soon.
And yes of course Seo In Guk was perfect in his tousle haired role as the smooth tough guy with a heart. I mean, honestly, who else could get away with turning up to illegally drill into an oil pipe in a Prada jacket. So cool, the man can do anything and pull it off.

Solid acting but story kinda fell flat.
Honestly went into the movie with no expectation and only watch it because there was Seo In Guk and Lee Soo Hyuk together.Overall the acting was really good, I believe all of them had great acting skills. There is no awkward acting whatsoever.
But the story kind of fell flat. I do not feel the excitement or anxiousness when it was reaching the climax?
The ending was kind of interesting but like many other shows, that is how it ended. I really like the camaraderie feelings that I got in this show. I would say Seo In Guk's acting as he punched Soo Hyuk was great at the end. Maybe it was due to the props team but his bloodshot eyes were on point.
The female in the show Dabin, gave me the Ha Ji Won vibes. And I guess she is just there cause they needed a female character? HAHAH There is little to no value of her being there. But wells, I would say give it a go if you are their fans but there isn't much action to it.

[Soft action and fan service]
This is a cool movie for people who aren't looking for deep true action. I thought that maybe it would be a heavy story with a lot of blood and tense situations, but this wasn't so like that. We had some fight scenes that were cool, but nothing that makes you shrink yourself on the couch. The plot was softened by the comedy and the low age rating, and I think that the rate of 14 is reasonable here. I'm not a fan of action movies, so for me, this one hit on the spot with the violent stuff. For the ones who enjoy the kind of story involving thieves' friendship, this will be a good choice. The relationship between the team could be a little more developed, but maybe this would drag the movie, and the duration is a high light to me in this production. I like short movies, especially when it's about action movies. After watching "The Tomorrow War" I'm kinda traumatized.The performance of the actors was also pretty good, and It was fun to see Seo In Guk and Lee Soo Hyuk acting as hard enemies, to the fans this surely will be amazing. I felt like it was a movie to exalt both of them, so because of that we can't see a lot of the other characters, that is why I think it's a big fan service (no complaint, I'll accept that gladly). Maybe a version 19+ of this would be a great success to the ones who are not addicted to k-dramas.
This is a pretty good movie (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★) to watch with friends eating popcorn, just to spend some time.

The main cast and characters SHINED without stupidity and romance, everyone else... not so much.
The casting was spectacular. This was actually my first work where I really liked Seo In Guk's character. I can definitely see why he has so many fans. And all the cast played their characters so convincingly well. The situational and relatively mild humor was great. I was really expecting more of the usual stupid-funny that comes with the action-comedy genre cross. We didn't get that here, for which I am thankful. I think my favorite instance of this was the epic getaway scenes. Perfection. This was purely a suspenseful crime movie. Comedy added rather than subtracted. There was no romance to make things messy.My one and only problem, which is a pretty big one, is the antagonist and support cast are all idiots. There was no logic. No defense. I found myself wanting to hit them upside the head more to knock sense into them rather than because of them impeding our mains.
Also, as a fan of heist stories, I wish a tad more of the suspense was related to the heist rather than the violence.

Seo In Guk & Lee Soo Hyuk Chemistry
It was when I watched them in Boss In the Mirror (Korean Variety Show) that I decided to watch this movie. First, I have loved their chemistry off and on camera, especially In Guk and Soo Hyuk's. I will be lying if I said it was not their looks that captivated me because, in all honesty, it really played a vital role. Though, other than their looks, they are also both good at acting, and watching them on one screen is such a gift to all viewers. I was really glad I get to watch them both here and in the Korean drama Doom at Your Service. Lee Soo Hyuk's character here is very unlikeable but I can't bring myself to hate him, he looked too good to be hated. Lol. Plus, I really loved him in DAYS almost that it overpowers his role here. Of course, Seo In Guk will always offer us good acting no matter what his role is. This is now my new favorite character of his, next to his bad-boy self in The Smile in Your Eyes.The story was okay but it isn't impressive enough to be embedded in one's mind. Actually, I think it's the actors that carried the movie. Not sure if that was intentional. The casting was good and the teamwork is better. I like everyone even the villain. lol. Oh, and I will never forget to commend the actions, I'm always impressed with how they direct the action scenes.
All in all, just a personal opinion, my 2 hours did not go to waste. I couldn't say it was worth it but still, I had a good watch.

Easy watch
Seo In Guk and Lee Soo Hyuk are two of my favorites. This movie was full of humor, dirt, sweating, muscles, backstabbing, more humor and attractive men in designer suits. How can you go wrong? I can especially recommend this if you need a break from heavier fare. It wasn't groundbreaking by any stretch of the imagination, but I enjoyed it for what it was.Was this review helpful to you?

A CAPER FILM ON ‘oil heist’ - DISASTER + TWISTS + LIGHT COMEDY
In the first place, i never did i know abt the casts... & itself was a COMPLETE SURPRISE ELEMENT 4 meSeo In Guk, the man who never disappoints! COMPLETELY SPEECHLESS - with long hair - damn handsome (Wears suits at the beginning of de flim ). LEE SOO HYUK him being the villain soared his hotness level to the moon. I love this duo working together sm ...hahah
VERDICT - Although the concept of “stealing oil” is new, the film follows the same old equation of caper movies; The team completes the operation successfully after several immediate crises. Led by SEO IN GUK, the team members clash now and then due to different understandings and interests. In particular, Jeop Sae, who only pursues his own interests, plays a troublemaker who gets on Pin Driller’s nerves. But, the bigger issue lies outside of the team. Gun Woo doesn’t give a thing about how things are in the team. So, in the end, the team unite as one force against the common enemy during their crisis.

Weird but special
I thought this was a surprisingly good movie, better than I had envisaged. I did think beforehand why they would make a pipeline seem exciting, they should have named it something else, either way it was worth the watch.I thought the actors and storywriters did an excellent job of the cast interactions, some of its drama, and some of it very humorous. I’m sure the story was a bit farfetched and headed into an odder direction with the bad guy’s goals being that of a mad scientist towards the final 30 minutes of the movie. It was a shame they knocked off one of the team, but I guess that’s what made the bad guy so evil.
It had some special effects. The oil running through the pipes wasn’t well done. The pipeline exploding in the hills of Korea was well done.
Many of those reviewing the movie clearly watched the movie because of Seo In Guk, one said “I wouldn’t be bored with him reading the entire phone directory”.

kinda new
i never watched a movie about drilling, so it kinda interesting for me to watch. the story was good until the end. from the start until the end there many unexpected events that you can watch. But this movie did not potray friendship as much as i expected but they gradually build the friendship from the start until the beginning. i kind of understand because all of the squad of this team just met for the first time but i do enjoy this. all the characters were very good and the story is balance with happy, sad, funny and angry situationsWas this review helpful to you?
This movie is a must watch
So I just ended up watching it because of my classmate, and I must say I feel sad that I watched it just this morning. This movie has a very good plot twist, unexpected ending and the actors are chosen just right. There aren't any scenes I will add or skip, the filmmakers did a great job.The more I watched, the more I got excited about it. Also, it isn't that big comedy type, but I smiled a lot and was laughing as never at the videos during ending subtitles.
I recommend it to everyone who likes thrilling action movies with bad (and handsome) guys and doesn't mind a bit of blood or fights.

Another Great Squad to Remember! Indeed a Very Exciting Movie
9/10 It's all about the enjoyment.Story:
The story is quite new to me but believable and interesting to watch unfold, though there are a couple of plot wholes that were unexplained it didn't affect the enjoyment much. Like how they got their tools the sec time, or if the kid is real..
Character:
With the work being a movie it's understandable that most characters don't an indepth look,but for the main character to be barely explored is something I consider as a weakness. We finish the movie with knowing barely anything about anyone. It was kinda disappointing especially with the funny credits cuts they could have added something about them instead. That is my main problem with the movie.
Aside from that, the cast were great! I only knew SIG which obviously is why I knew about this movie in the first place, and the villain forgot his name but this guy is always an A+ as a villain! These two as always meet my expectations, and surprisingly the other cast members were just as great! I loved every single one of them! Definitely gonna check their other works! Even the policemen were interesting and shined over their small roles!
Enjoyment:
I'm quite impressed by how good the movie is, it had everything, thriller, comedy, action! I was kinda skeptical that it would turn out as slapstick comedy with somescenes being borderline silly but the movie didn't fail to amaze me with how genres are well incorporated. I laughed, was on the edge of my seat, had teary eyes, and showted loud as if they could hear me.
Rewatch:
Although I don't see myself watching it anytime sooner, but I think I would definitely do a year or two from now if I was alive.
