Overall, I believe that Ice Adonis is an impeccable drama. The idea of watching 108 episodes may be off-putting, but it is well-worth the effort. The first 60 episodes were almost torture to watch as Yeon Hwa was beaten down by Yoo Ra unmercifully, but when Yeon Hwa rises up and begins her revenge, it is amazingly gratifying. I love Yeon Hwa. She is strong, smart, and never let her loss hold her back. Most other Korean drama heroines wouldn't have been able to handle the assault that Yoo Ra made on her life, but Yeon Hwa came back and spoke the truth until everyone listened. She never allowed her love to make her ill and solemn, she used it to gain energy. Most importantly, she never became Yoo Ra during the process of vengeance. She laid out the truth and allowed the villains to destroy themselves.

Story 9/10: Even though there are many dramas about people who want to take revenge on somebody, you shouldn’t ignore this one. It is really fascinating to see how Yeon Hwa copes with all the hardships that she’s confronted with and how she manages to not lose hope and keep on fighting to prove her innocence.

Acting/Cast 10/10: There are so many characters I liked in this drama. All the leads did a splendid job in portraying their roles, especially Lee Yoo Ri as Yeon Hwa who changed from a kind-hearted woman to a courageous and persistent person, Yoon Ah Jung as Yoo Ra who did an amazing job as the evil, proud and sometimes insane stepsister who can’t do anything else but keep on lying to cover up the sins she has committed, and also Min Ji Hyun as Soo Ae who is really lovable and lightens the story a little.

Music 10/10: I really love the songs from the OST and I’m also listening to one while writing this review. In my opinion, they perfectly fit the mood of the drama.

Rewatch Value 5/10: I’m not really the type to rewatch a drama especially when it has so many episodes, but maybe I’ll change my mind in a few years’ time ;D

Overall 9/10: I give this drama 9 points because it managed to stir my interest even though I’ve never been able to finish a drama that had more than 28 episodes before and because I loved the ending (it even made me cry).

Yellow Boots, a melodrama that follows the story of Seol Yeon Hwa who got falsley accused of murderer and how she plans her revenge on those who wronged her, but also how she finds her purpose and the "light" that makes her want to keep on living.


THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST MELODRAMA I'VE EVER SEEN! (and I've seen a lot of them) reasons? Let me list just a few of the many:


The plot. When I first saw the amount of episodes this drama had, I shivered. I thought "is it really possible for a drama to stay to the plot without becoming too dragged out if it has 108 episodes?" My answer, YES. IT CAN. This is a true masterpiece so don't hesitate to watch this drama. 108 episodes may be a lot but it is definitely worth it. Every second of it added to the plot and it never felt draggy at all. Every episode had a cliffhanger that led the plot to the next episode.


It had a great cast. Every actor and actress played their part to add to the emotional feeling of the drama. Every character was well developed and alive. The good ones you loved, cheered on, and cried with, the antagonists you cursed and hated from the bottom of your heart. Those emotions wouldn't have been as strong if the actors and actress didn't do a good job.

The music. This drama had one of the best OST I've ever heard. Begining with the emotional intro song that totally give away a dark and dramatic wibe that the story has, to a more emotional song that plays whenever something sad or unexpected happens. I cried and laughed together with the character in this drama and I bet the music only added to the feelings.

Choi Yu Ra. Yes I know that she plays the main evil character, but seriouly she is one of the reasons to check out this drama. Without spoiling too much of her evil deeds, let's just say it like this "if you think that you know what a real bitch is and how far an evil person can go on living while lying, time after time, then you've probably never seen Choi Yu Ra in action. This woman is the definition of what an evil main character is. Just when you think that she can't get any more messed up she accepts the challenge and proves you wrong. It amazed me just how much a person can get tangled into her own lies, and where in the end, the only thing that can make you stay alive and sane is more lies. This woman is messed up and I applaude to the actress who played Choi Yu Ra for protraiting this pure piece of evilness that added so much emotion to this drama.

If these reasons that I've pointed out doesn't make you get interested in giving this drama a chance then I don't know what will. But one things for sure, in my opnion this is one of the best, if not THE BEST melodrama I've watched.

Even thought I gave an over all rating of 8.0, this was a fantastic drama, I'm the type that didn't like long dramas specially when that category is melodrama were is not included romance or comedy or romance and melo you know we're I'm headed, this drama is 108 EPISODES I'm like sitting on my bed and I'm like I'll fall asleep as soon as I hit 12 or 30 episodes, a while back I watched the drama (loving you a thousand times), for me that was one long drama and just because of that story I started liking longer dramas specially when there was family involved, it was sad and exciting at the same time and then after watching other dramas I came to see( yellow boots) or as much may know it as ( ice Adonis), the story was great or what people say the idea of the story was awesome. You would have to experience it for yourself I can't say I like or dislike it because everyone thinks differently my mother who watched it with me cried and laughed and even got so angry and that evil lieing bi*** that broke my computer at that time with all do respect at the actress it's just a role but she felt that way and I felt that (THERE WAS TO MUCH LIES INVOLVED) even though the idea probably was to make the protagonist grow up be stronger and even learn how to fight for what she believes in, The story helped to evil to fake i'm not a writer I know how to make up a story but still It felt to fake The music was awesome it went with the story the actors are believable even though I felt fake I would've believed it because of the acting I love those actors they're great actors everyone have their part down to every detail even the evil witch that mean lady that conniving woman I would've loved that the protagonist would get into role faster,it felt that she waited until the end to get revenge I felt she was too innocent she fell too much in the traps, I guess in the way she wanted to stay believing in my thinking, that her friend was with the heart,I felt it wasn't fair I felt that even though the good girl what's up attacking missed Who took most of the story, what's the antagonist everything was flowing around if she wasn't in the story everything will be fine my thinking,of course you would tell me well if they wasn't an Antagonist and protagonist there wouldn't have been a story you could just decide and dropping it but still It felt to evil it felt that the antagonist didn't feel that sorry for herself, my bad let me rephrase it she didn't feel that much remorse probably until the end ha ha ha ha I'm not good at explaining I don't even know if I'm making any sense to you to everyone of you but it is a well done story for somebody who likes suspends you could say that if you like a weak protagonist getting abused by evil antagonist it would be the best drama for you some people like the second lead that the first lead i'm not saying that the protagonists was weak all the time she knew how to defend herself later on in the story but still felt really long for me the music was great the acting was great the story was mmm.... The rewatch value I don't know if I were to rewatch it probably if my taste would change in stories probably I would give it another chance and see more detailed in the story but it's really long to long for that kind of story overall I did give it an eight is really good you should give it a try don't follow exactly what I say because what I said before people have different tastes I even mean myself I follow the reviews of other people and I give it a try even though some people give it a six of overall or some people give it a 10 and sometimes the six overall was better than the 10th overall story so don't follow what I say just give it a try see for yourself but I hope in the way I did give you a good opinion of what I thought about the story The actors are great, if by any chance your favorite actor is in the drama,more so to give it a try you'll see different parts of them in different ways I hope what I did or said will help.

Adonis Flor de Invierno, la puedes ver en YouTube. Realemente es una historia que a pesar de ser bien larga es un buen drama, si busca romance diría poco pero la historia te atrapa, tiene la jefa de las malvadas y das tus gritaditas , pues bien porque mi baja puntuación un fin ???????????? (gritaba no nooo por favor noo la terminen así y ???????? termino ).. no me lo esperaba, nada trágico pero tampoco nada bonito.. 7.5/10..
