"I Want to Make Goo-Goo Eyes with Mik"

Thank you to Muse for subbing this! Y'all are AWESOME!!

Wow! I had so much fun watching this lakorn! I mostly loved it. The main couple had cute chemistry and some pretty fun romantic scenes. I liked their playfulness and could feel the sparks. And whoever can turn down a shirtless Mik has lots of will power!

If you have watched Thai lakorns, you pretty much know how most stories will unfold and how certain things will happen. I don't really consider what I have listed below as spoiling anything, but just in case, you may not want to scroll down.

Things I liked:
1. A strong female lead who can defend herself and makes mostly smart choices.
2. A male lead who's a nice guy, but a bit naughty. And he looks good shirtless. Just saying. (Next time I think I'll make a shirtless scene count when I watch certain actors.... A girl has to have a hobby.)
3. The main couple actually talked and shared information and addressed problems together.
4. Cute second lead couple romance.
5. For me, the comedy was fun. It had me smiling, giggling and laughing.
6. Pretty solid plot lines without too many gaps in character actions.
7. Some close encounters of the human kind. (insert extra smiles here)
8. Mostly loved the mother and sister of the male lead.
9. The grandmother character could kick backside as well.
10. I really enjoyed the scenery and location shots.
11. Loved the ending!

Things I expect from most Thai lakorns that check the box:
1. Crazy obsessive girl who wants the male lead. Did I mention she's really craw-craw?
2. Jealousy with greed driven relatives who want to get what the other has.
3. Grandmother who hates and rejects female lead.
4. Minions who can't shoot worth a darn.
5. Everyone gets their karma in the end.
6. The almost kiss....
7. Scriptwriters looking for things to do in last couple of episodes.

Things I didn't really care for:
1. Female lead really beats up on the male lead too much IMO. But, I think that goes along with both of the characters, so I can live with it.
2. I don't think the scriptwriter really showed the second couple male lead character falling for the girl.
3. No one got the crazy girl help. She needed professional help.
4. I think it went a bit off track and repeated plot lines towards the end. But, you see that quite often in Thai lakorns.
I still love to watch them.

So absolute favorite type of female lead is a strong one that can kiss ass and remains strong through the entire drama and this drama definitely fits the bill. I thought it was funny how she would always kick the ML's behind and he allowed it. lol They slowly fell in love and he was able to hill from his past...

but...whew...that second female lead was the definition of psychotic ! Like the ML had zero interest in her and she would still go postal. I still think that she had something to do with his first love's death.

Everyone caught the karma that they deserved. Family members that were going down the wrong path saw the light and made up for their wrong doings and were forgiven.

I always love it when the ML is supportive and in this case she adored Lisa. I think Lisa reminded her of herself in many aspects.

Lisa really made Don earn her goodies! lol I thought it was funny how much of a horn dog he was after they made their relationship real but she wasn't having any of that. They were most definitely stronger together than apart. Both extremely smart and could fight. love it!!!!

If you want to watch a lakorn that does not have any forced kisses , rape, aggressive male lead then this is the drama for you. I enjoyed very minute of it. Everyone executed their jobs extremely well.

I gave it a 9.5 because of how long Don had to wait to get Lisa's goodies! lol..dang writers kept teasing us lol

Light, cute, easy watch

If you’re looking for a lakorn that is different and is a little lighter and fluffier than most lakorns then this drama is for you. There are no slap kisses, no evil mother in laws, no domineering male lead, no over the top crazy drama that makes you want to throw your tv across the room, and no long term couple separations. It’s an unusual lakorn that is lighthearted and funny. That’s not to say there’s no angst, sadness, or melodrama. It’s just that the sad or dramatic parts of the drama don’t last too long and there’s lots of really good comedy interspersed throughout. So let’s talk about what I liked and didn’t like.

What I liked:
The chemistry of the main leads was what made this drama work. Seeing the male lead try so hard to seduce his wife throughout a good deal of the drama was adorable (even though she’s sassy she’s shy about sex because she’s a virgin). He really nailed his pouting scenes (adorable) and his seductive scenes too. And I just want to thank the producers for all of the multiple gratuitous shirtless scenes. Those abs were a work of art (sigh). And the way he would flex his pecs and make his chest jump when she stared at it was so cute! I loved the sassiness of the female lead. She always stood up for herself and was able to kick some butt if needed. I also liked that she wasn’t some poor needy girl off the streets. She was well educated from a good family and she was confident in herself. It was easy to like her personality. And it was pleasant to watch a drama that didn’t take itself too seriously. The comedy was top notch. I liked that even though there were evil characters doing bad things most issues got resolved rather quickly. There was angst and sorrow and bad guys pulling all types of stuff but it was never drawn out for too long.

What I didn’t like:
Even though I liked the female leads character and her sassiness, she was a bit too rough. She was always hitting the male lead for one reason or another and it was a little too much (though he usually deserved it because he didn’t understand women and didn’t respect her feelings.) I also didn’t like the crazy girl that was obsessed with the male lead. Why is there always a crazy female that’s been obsessed with the male lead her whole life in every drama? And almost every time the male lead has never liked her or even given her the time of day yet she still obsesses over him. It’s so unrealistic and unoriginal. One other thing that I often complain about in romantic dramas is the kissing scenes. And yes, these kissing scenes were the typical lock your lips and stare at each other type of kisses. Not realistic at all.
Even though I loved the ending and how sweet it was, I wasn’t a fan of it turning into a musical for the last ten or so minutes. I’m sure most people loved it but it wasn’t my cup of tea. It was a little too cheesy for me.

Overall this was a very good drama. Lots of romance, great comedy, good plot, and just enough angst and drama to make it interesting without going over the top and stressing me out. It’s not perfect but it’s definitely worth watching.

For me, this lakorn is fun-filled, full of comedy and slapstick humor. The show has some twists and turns but nothing angsty and the issues get resolved within an episode. It is not perfect, but I still enjoyed it a lot and binge-watched all 17 episodes in 3 days, which was quite a feat considering each episode was almost 2 hours longs. I am picky when it comes to lakorns because I am uncomfortable with some more acceptable themes in Thai dramas. So I am glad that I came across Sapai Import and felt compelled to write a review.

Min Peechaya, as Lisa is absolutely gorgeous from her hair, face, and clothes to her strength and confidence. She's the complete package when it comes to a smart, strong, and independent female lead. Admittedly, she is a little too violent, beating/hurting the ML and, at times, too shrill for my liking. Still, it is tolerable for me, knowing that this is a lakorn, and most female lead characters are usually portrayed in an extreme way. This is the first time I watch Mik Thongraya, and he portrays a rather fine-looking Don. I like how Don constantly teases the FL, and Mik plays the ML well, switching between an adorable and sweet guy to a moody, sarcastic but clueless dork. Mik is a triple eye candy threat with his looks, height, and sex appeal, and in general, he is a great actor. That said, I am not so sure about his facial expressions in some scenes when he seemed a little stiff. However, it could be due to the video and sound quality on dramacool. The chemistry between Min and Mik is amazing, and they have many cute interactions throughout the show. There are a few funny transitions where romantic scenes suddenly become ones where Lisa is beating Don up. It's also especially funny how Don becomes hornier and tries to get more intimate with Lisa after they acknowledge their relationship! I do wish the kissing was better, though; at least more than just locking lips and staying frozen for ... minutes.

The supporting characters were just that, the supporting characters I didn't find them that remarkable but a shout out to the amazingly supportive mother-in-law and sister-in-law!!! At least we don't have to deal with an evil scheming MIL; instead, we have a mean grandmother who is bent on Don married to Ratree, who's absolutely psychotic! I feel terrible for Ratree, and ideally, the show should have had her getting treatment. Unfortunately, that was not addressed. The other villains are just so annoying and I did skip through some of their scenes because I simply could not tolerate their greed.

I can't say much about the OST since the videos' sound quality was not great, and I probably would rewatch if I can find another platform with better quality.

Overall, I rated this show pretty high because it kept me interested and entertained despite having to deal with not the best video quality.

TL;DR - If this had been cut down, I would've enjoyed it more. The plot stops (imo) around when Lisa and Don get together and it depends if you're into the OTP enough to enjoy the rest of the lakorn (I wasn't). If you like rom-coms or the lead actors, then you might like this.

Honestly if this only consisted of the first 11 episodes I would’ve given this a solid 9. Unfortunately the remaining episodes left little to be desired and were a major struggle to get through, due to the tacky editing and lack of interesting plot.

I really do like our leads, Don and Lisa, and their cute antics together. I liked how sassy Lisa is and how she’s not afraid to stand up for herself or for others. Don took a bit of warming up to which was understandable given his backstory, and I really liked that he was smart enough to suspect Ratree (evil b) and the villain in this story. Both made a great duo together and I enjoyed watching them fall in love. However, I was not as invested into them as I would’ve liked - a major thing that bothered me was the lack of closure on my end regarding Don’s ex-fiancée. I mean sure, Don can certainly resolve issues on his own, but then why make it such a big deal for him for him to fall in love; why build it up that Don absolutely can't get over his ex, feels guilt about her death and go through this major reluctance to get married only for it to end with a resolve that happens off camera? I honestly felt robbed of that closure myself and it would’ve been more touching to see how he got over it and how Lisa helps him move on with her love and support. This lack of closure was a signal of things to come later.

As much as I was happy that Lisa and Don were able to get together about 11 episodes in, I was also worried because it meant losing that "will they, won't they" tension that usually carries these kinds of lakorns, thus they would have to fill the rest of the lakorn with other plot points. And they did...but it was not only predictable, but also filled with tacky drama.

This is where I have huge gripes with the editing, something I would never think to comment on, but time and time again it would just pull me out and make me feel insulted. What I mean by this is that we would be at this slow pace with seemingly nothing going on, then all of a sudden cut into a very dramatic and intense scene. But the way it was edited not only doesn't build up/prepare the viewer of what to expect (which makes me have to adjust my emotions to match the scene) but any veteran drama viewer paying attention to the lakorn will know that the supposed dramatic scene is actually not to be taken seriously. I'll give you an example. Lisa and Don are having issues with Ratree and both know that she's a snake. Then it cuts to Ratree telling a secret to Lisa that would make her want to leave Don. Then it cuts to a drama filled scene of Lisa leaving Don and everyone is upset. Then later it turns out that they were faking it to deceive Ratree and everyone is surprised. I mean, I would've been too if Lisa or Don had trust issues with each other but based on their characters/previous actions, I know that Lisa wouldn't just go and do that for no reason, and everyone in the drama knows how untrustworthy Ratree is. So why does the drama itself think that we would believe Lisa would leave after hearing what Ratree has to say?? It's cheap drama for cheap thrills. There are so many times that this happens in the drama that just continually kept me less invested in the story, and by the end I was pretty much checked out.

Another complaint I have with the editing is the pacing. I think a lot of the plot could have been condensed to max 12 episodes. I think part of it was because the storyline also became predictable, so there was a lack of patience on my end to sit and watch the drama in normal pacing when I knew what was going to happen (I ended up fast forwarding from ep 12 onwards). I think if you really liked the leads, you would've enjoyed the filler. Nothing new was introduced after our leads got together other than the existing villain plot line, which they milked for way too long. Some may mention the development of Rin and Mor's relationship, but I think that was also done poorly - you literally have Rin confess to Mor, he rejects her and only thinks of her as a sister, then next episode he realizes he loves her and gets possessive?? Rin honestly deserved better.

I will say, I really appreciate that the show didn't compromise the characters and kept them consistent throughout the show. I enjoyed the employee antics, and the character development of Pit and his mother. Lisa's parents were also pretty great, esp her dad. None of the characters were a waste and served their purpose.

I liked the theme song a lot, and the music and sound effects were placed appropriately here. I think if you are just starting with watching lakorns, if you like the lead actors or if you want a superficial rom-com and don't take things seriously like I do, you might enjoy this. Otherwise it's a forgettable drama for me and not something I would re-watch.

this 1 man ?

i picked up this show after watching the powerful and hard hitting that is So Wayree. This was NOTHING like that. this show is FUNNY as hell. i love the ENTIRE cast, especially Lisa. that girl is too funny and too honest. I can't wait to see what she does next and how she gets rid of Ratree. i hoping for a happy ending as i don't want to see any of them ruined. they can work it out, right?
i will update this review when I'm done. i recommend this show and tbh the last 5 I've watched. i never thought i would enjoy Thai drama so much. I'm glad i took a chance on one, bc i really was missing out.

ok,now ive completed the show and im ? because its over! i LOVED it! the cast was wonderful. in this family nothing and no one is perfect, but they are there for each other. there isn't a ton of ridiculous secret that made no sense, but 1 huge secret that underlines the entire show. The Ml and Fl are so darn likeable and cute. and the sisters really show how sister can be. they make the show more interesting.
the women of this show are nothing to play around with. they are tender and caring until you mess with their family, then they will kick your butt or weapon up, and they know how to use them. i just loved it! i liked how it was about Don and Lisa, but you meet the entire family and got their point of view as well. Yai, is stubborn, but she's fair and all seeing. i wont go on anymore just watch it!

Giving a Moon with the stars

•Story -Milking a cow can be this romantic I didn’t know. amazing romcom. You cant even think how much laugh you get watching this lakron. The most fair part was it doesnt have force kiss and rape scenes, but the ML waits like annoyingly hell until the end.

•Acting- mik thongraya as don was nice but sometimes his cheesiness was overflowing. His face is too cheesy when he flirts with lisa.
Min as Lisa was fierce, bold and loving. Synopsis says she is spoilt brat which isnt true. She is kind lovable fighter who does everything for family while maintaing her own identity. Her fighting was too good when she fought with hooligans, but was too much when she fought with Don, you could literally pity don.
May as Ratree was good as in negative portrayal of character.I hated ratree whenever she spoke about herself she spoke in a third person manner and always taking the name ratree, it was so annoying.

•Music-the bgm for slaps and fights was sometimes annoying.
•Rewatch- ofcourse, it gives you laugh to the bones with such amazing cute leads.

•Favorite-Ongoing bickering of the two sister/mothers was also fun as we can see they had a love more than hatred.
Running away with husband really.
Husband and wife get so enchanted by each other but still don’t get intimate
•Appreciation- Hats off to the actors for doing such farm work with perfection. You might have taken lessons and put your own effort to come out of your comfort and do such amazing farm work.
I would like to give a moon with the star for the actors hard work.

YOU'LL GET DIZZY WITH ALL THE LOVE AND ANTIQUES

YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS
Guys I have absolute mixed feelings about this drama, I loved it so much. But it also got really frustrating to watch.
I have been looking for this drama with better quality since last year, finally found it on telegram and let me tell you, it didn't disappoint.
All standards met. but it still has many elements of a typical Thai drama
GOOD STUFF
- The kisses
- DON!!!!!! is a hottie
- All the characters are attractive
- their family’s relationship is literally to die for
- the self development was impeccable
- villains got what they deserved
- The grandmothers disapproval was more cute than annoying
- The fights between Lisa and Ratree were literally the highlight.
- Another Thai drama where the servants/workers keep you going, never a boring moment with them
- Did in mention, Mik is a hottie????? (Pardon my fangirling)
- Cuteness overload
- Satisfying ending and that mini concert at the end

Frustrating stuff
- Lisa constantly hitting Don, her overacting. And that failed attempt at being a (bickering couple)
-Ratree
-Unnecessarily draggy fight scenes
- The wait for them to finally do the deed
-Their teasing
- More draggy scenes
- Mor mee's stiff ass face
- Da, Pit and Grandma in the first half of the drama
- Again with the draggy scenes.
(You'd almost pull all your hair out, but in a very satisfying way)

All in all, its a good drama, won't be giving a perfect score but its still a beautiful family drama.

I'm not sure if it's just me but I want to say that it's not Mik's best work and he's always type casted into the same shows lol which I mean is fitting, I like him in them but for some reason I really had to push through this one. It was good, it was cute and not too overdramatic and I kind of liked the chemistry between the two but it's a repetitive circle with these storyline so I was like aw man lol so it was very hot and cold between the couple so it do be like that. Everyone was kind of a hoot though but the drama lol THE DRAAAMMMMMAAAA. Any who, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't mind blowing knock your socks off ya know what I mean?

Dallas version thaï :) :)

It's a Thai rom-com !!

1- You have to get used to the kind of overplayed, the kind of "telenovela" side of lakorns.
2 - The English subtitles are sometimes very out of step (especially in the first 8-9 episodes) which disturbs understanding.

Fortunately, the CL is very endearing (that's what keeps together the drama), so we ignore these flaws.
The other characters are well developed. The secondary couple is also very cute, even if the love turnaround of the 2nd ML is a bit abrupt. Family ties are described with a certain realism.
That said, the 2 "great villains" would need therapy, especially the girl. The use of therapy does not seem to be known or common.

The "farm" context is unusual, but it is a big and rich exploitation, so except in the first fwe episodes, we never see the protagonists performing manual tasks. The work in the last fwe episodes mainly consists of taking care of a restaurant ...

One note, however: OSTs are very strange; "suspense / thriller" atmosphere in romantic moments !!! Scenes with only music in certain passages where the actors speak, ...

The image quality is not great, the framing is appalling (not at all professional, sometimes the actors' faces are cropped) and the sound quality too, particularly in the last episode (but at this point, we want to know the end of the story, so we watch anyway :).

In short, a drama to watch as a classic (a bit vintage, with flaws, but also talented actors).

I loved it! I laughed a lot! GREAT acting ?
The female main lead was so funny, beautiful and with great , great chemistry with the male lead. She was really badass.
The male lead was so fantastic, I’ve never seen a lakorn with him like this one. He was very funny a good surprise.
The villain was reasonable.
I really recommend this lakorn, it’s funny, the storyline is not a totally cliche. You will not regret to watch, I’m sure.
It’s definitely worth watching!
I’ll watch again for sure in a short period of time.
