If you love yourself some romance, found family and everyone's-troubles-are-connected (I don't know if that trope has a name or...) dramas, this show is for you.
I want to start this off saying that the undeniable stars of this drama are the leads, played by Kwak Dong-Yeon and Park Se-Wan. Those two have some of the best chemistry together and they were the reason I started watching this drama in the first place.
That being said, while they were the reason I started, they weren't the only reason why I kept watching. There are two families at the center of this drama's plot. The first isn't a biological family unit, but one of circumstance. Several different individuals wind up staying at the Nakwon Inn (or Paradise Inn as it's translated to) and develop a tight-knit family of their own. The second, the Na family. They're a chaebol family consisted of some (mostly) egocentric individuals, and Hae Jun (he's the only one that doesn't suck royally, in fact, he's pretty cool). Both families filled me with a different set of emotions. The found family was beautiful, the love and support that they provided for each other is enough to give you the warm fuzzies. I was particularly a huge fan of the brother-sister relationship between Woo Jae and Bak Ha. The chaebol family, as expected, pissed me off quite frequently. What I wasn't expecting was to find all of them (well, almost all of them) to have charming aspects to themselves. This doesn't typically happen when I watch a chaebol family in a drama, so it was quite refreshing.
Now, let's talk romance. The central romance was definitely my favorite, but all (but one, Woo Jae and Hae Ri are my ultimate NOTP) of the other romances were also interesting to watch. They had so much chemistry and it was fun to watch their relationships gradually develop. For sure one of my favorite parts.
One of the cool things about this drama is that all of the characters' stories are linked. In the beginning most of the central characters were at the area where the prime conflict (the death of Bak Ha's husband) took place. What's also interesting is that each member of the Nakwon Inn family has some sort of bone to pick with members of the Na family.
Last, and not least, we have the other star of this show, an adorable baby named Yeol Mu. Yeol Mu manages to make everyone love and take care of him. He has an incredible charm that will make your heart melt.

Overall, it's a great drama filled with family, love, and growth. If you're good with longer format shows, it's worth giving a shot.

Watch it now: the synopsis doesn’t give it justice, neither does the promotional image. I seriously waited weeks to watch this series. I considered h it while it was on the air and put it off. Then I was super bored and decided to just give it a try. In all honesty the title, synopsis and promotional image for the series didn’t seem that appealing to me. But my thoughts were so wrong.

I have not watched a series with this much heart and love and loyalty and a very very long time. And I am an individual that goes through series like glasses of water but this one is by far one of the finest. I

The synopsis for this should be completely rewritten as such:
When life gets hard, God can put you in the right place at the right time to get the help, the love, the support and the people you need in your corner to help you overcome it. When you think you have nothing to offer and there is nothing more in life for you these people find that not only are they people value but that there is more to life than the hardships that they have faced. They discovered that they had strength, love, friendship and so much more to fight for. Through friendship they discover love that they never saw coming, strength that they never knew and. Family they never had.

My southern interpretation ?: When I tell you this thing was good I mean it, OK. Yes I got frustrated during some moments but I could understand the reasoning behind the individual behavior that made me frustrated I could completely get it I could not be mad only frustrated that it was taken place that’s how good it was. Of course it is not without the antagonist, yes that crazy rich lady and greedy old guy but it does not surpass the good.

Our male lead had everyone wanting to marry him. Yes he’s the rich guy who knows he’s rich but unlike so many of the other series that I watched this one is different. He’s a rich guy who has a heart that shows he has a heart and goes after what he what he wants without fear of judgment from others. He goes after what he wants without a care to money. He didn’t let money dictate his life for his love.

It's always hard to review a weekender since they are, obviously, weekenders. They're always conservative, old-fashioned, normalise traditional gender roles, have too many characters, and drag because they're too long. As a consequence I'm not going to dwell on these aspects of Never Twice. It's a weekender and weekenders got to weekender. It's their thing.

Instead, this review will mostly concern itself with OMG IT'S A BABY!!!! Have you ever seen that xkcd cartoon where they graph human intelligence by inanity of statements against the presence of a kitty? Well, that's pretty well this show. There's a whole standard weekender plotline in here about found family and evil Chaebols and justice winning and everyone learning to just get along. But when up and coming actors Park Se Wan and Kwak Dong Yeon DO BABY none of that actually matters.

Sure this means that there's only one plotline anybody who watched this show cared about but it's a good plotline. Kwak Dong Yeon gushing over a baby is almost worth 36 episodes of television (72 in the stupid numbering) and, actually, 36 episodes is not too bad for a weekender. I sat through 50 episodes of Good Thief, Bad Thief and that had no baby at all.

Seriously, Park Se Wan and Kwak Dong Yeon are great emerging actors and there is A BABY and the main romance at least is quite good (if a bit rushed, don't do any math). The fast forward button was invented for a reason so if you're not afraid to use it and don't mind that the average weekender inevitably feels both saccharine and flat overall, then I recommend, oh, at least 10%-15% of this show.

Watch it, just do it. You will not be disapointed, because I wasn't.

If someone gave me the Chance to watch this Drama for the first time again, I would take it. This K-Drama is everything and I love it so damn much, I can't even explain.
I started it for Kwak Dong-Yeon after I watched Vincenzo and I'm so happy the comedy didn't scare me away, because normaly I can't really watch comedy.
I love the Charater Story from everyone the happy and the sad one, but my all time Favorite will be Kwak Dong-Yeon and Park Se-Wan. There chemestry was just beautiful and perfect.
Absolutly a masterpiece for me.

" Never Twice " did what long korean dramas to : give a nice paced story.

The drama had well balance family themes, a mystery case that needed to be solved, and some nice romance plots. And, there was the well known ladies who would pay off anyone that wants to marry into their family. And, seriously, in this one, they paid everyone that approached them, to the point where I started to wonder if they were going to go bankrupt because of it. So, yes, there were some cliche trops in it. The mystery case was pretty much obvious from the start, so there was no interest in it really. The leading lady tended to do an annoying pitch to her voice from time to time, and the old ladies were textbook bad guys, so no surprise there either. However, the romance was nicely paced, slow, as to have both characters get to know each other first, and not have an insta love. And, the baby was hands down adorable!! The ending, finally, was well handled and satisfying.

So, overall, six out of ten.

Binge Worthy

I watched the whole show in 2 days and let me tell you it's totally worth a shot.
It does have so many parts that can feel dragged but the overall experience of watching it is really good.
Let me break the review down
For starters, the story is well written. Though the plot as a whole is not entirely unique it does have its own charm.
The romance of the main couple is slow and subtle in the beginning but the pacing is done right so it doesn't feel too rushed or too slow.
The ending is also well wrapped.
As for the acting, All the actors did a great job, especially Kwak Dong Yeon.
The Music was good but nothing that stood out to me.
Wouldn't necessarily rewatch the whole show but some episodes.
Overall it's a good show to watch if you like romance with a bit of mystery.

a must watch!!

Although I started this show for Kwak Dong Yeon, the plot is what kept me watching until the end. I was pretty surprised to see senior actors getting a lot of screen time. Its a rare sight since most dramas are focused on young characters/couples. But I enjoyed it!! Also loved the fact that there were multiple couple representations - (rich fl & struggling ml, best friends to lovers, and many others).
This show was chaotic and full of drama. The characters kept experiencing misfortunes to the point that it got funny for me. There were also 2 failed attempts of $uicide. So if you are sensitive to this topic, I would recommend skipping some scenes.
Overall, I liked the main couple but preferred eunji & poonggi couple more. You should watch this drama if you are into found family and mystery trope. Definitely recommended!!

What a warm drama

At first, I was hesitated to watch because it has to many episodes. I must admit that I watch this drama because of Kwak Dong Yeon. Honestly I don't like the starting of this drama. What kind of drama that the lead hero only come out after so long of waiting. Usually I don't like a drama with so many stories and so many couples involved. And there's some stories that I don't like to watch and I will fast forward their scene.

I know all their stories are connected but I really don't like the love story between Na Wang Sam and Ba Eun Ji, Na Hae Ri and Kim Woo Jae, and Choi Geo Beok and the old mother (I forgot the name). I am not really happy to watch the ending because I don't like Na Hae Ri. She don't deserve to be together with Kim Woo Jae. For me, she don't deserve a good guy. Woo Jae should meet with other nice girl.

Even in the reality also, do you think there is a good person like Woo Jae? After all the tormented and the pain that he had to go through. You will not find it in reality. Only in drama. Anyway, Kwak Dong Yeon really has the matured-look and the way his acting is good. And they wrapped this drama quite well. If you looking for a warm drama, comedy, family type, you can watch this. I will give 8/10. Enjoy watching.

A pleasant way to pass the time

As someone who has been watching dramas since 2012, this drama felt like a throwback to dramas pre-2013. I know weekend family dramas tend to be more "traditional" and this was no exception so if you are newer to Kdramas you might not like it as much or might find it a bit old fashioned. I enjoyed this as something to watch over a long period of time, I took some breaks while watching but always came back to it.

There's nothing groundbreaking here in terms of writing, directing or acting but everything is at an adequate level or higher. My main reason for watching this drama is because I adore Kwak Dong Yeon and his and Park Se Wan's storyline was the highlight for me. Both of them hold their own with the more veteran, well known actors here. Some story lines were less interesting to me but they all tied together nicely with all the characters having some connection to each other or the hotel.

Not much rewatch value to this in my opinion but I don't think that is the purpose of this drama. The OSTs weren't very memorable and the score was a bit overdramatic.

Overall I enjoyed this drama for what is was and if you are looking for a family drama to help pass the time and you don't mind some of the old school tropes you should give this a try.

Too dry

The drama sits in a weird position of not adhering to neither the long daily drama segmented formula nor to the standard 16-episodes weekly ones. It's closer to the latter except being a poorly stretched one. There were a handful of couples but most of them were bland without much chemistry or dynamic. The main story was too thin for the drama to function and it's clear that they didn't intend to invest much in it but rather just let it be driven by whatever the couples were doing. You can't consider it as a slice of life either because of the direction it took. It's hard to recommend when it's too dry.

A good casual family drama - perfect to have on while multitasking

I got into Never Twice because of the clips I saw of some well dressed guy crying when a baby he was holding was getting his vaccination shots; this was just so authentic and adorable that I had to understand the context. Unfortunately, I'm a bit disappointed that the baby wasn't more of a character in this drama...I'm a sucker for babies/kids playing a vital role in the overall plot of the story.

I stayed invested in this story because I wanted to know how the bad guys got karma handed to them and how the good guys prevailed. Things got tangled between the characters, which I didn't mind at all.
I was most interested in the main characters, Na Hae Jun and Geum Bak Ha. I also had an odd gravitation toward the chef, Choi Man Ho and his wife, Yang Geum Hee - their story was so bittersweet. And while initially I didn't care much either way for the other side characters (I especially didn't care for the gold digger, Bang Eun Ji, and the golfer, Gam Poong Ki), by the end of the drama, I came to appreciate that they too found their happiness in the end. In particular, the romance between Bok Mak Rye and Choi Geo Bok was really sweet...seeing second chance love stories between elderly couples are kind of adorable.

I liked that the 2 very spoiled, twisted, self-centered daughter-in-laws got what was coming for them finally. And their character development was nice in the end.

The ending was very nicely wrapped up - I personally felt myself getting a little sentimental at the end.

Would I watch Never Twice again? No, probably not. But it was one of those dramas where you didn't have to catch every word. I very easily followed along while multitasking (only towards the end of the drama did I tune in more). This is a pretty predictable family drama, but there's not over-the-top acting or drama, just what you've come to expect from corporate politics K-dramas.

Too many parallel storries run in the drama make drama a little bore

I guess After 20 or 30 episodes ,the drama got little interesting .little interesting means okay can handle means not boring . Before that after 2 episodes the drama was bored I like Hae Jun and Bak Ha story the most and want to see more them into the drama but so many parallel storries run together little made bore. It is not like that the parllel stories make drama bore but the execution as well as the concept of the respective stories should placed properly . Likes sunny again tomorrow or Marry me know ,They had parallel stories and all were good. So I only watched Hae Jun and Bak Ha story with sincerity not others and don't like the very ending .I want more to see their marriage .
