A must watch romcom

If you want to watch a historical Chinese drama with light politics and full of comedy, then you have come to the right place. This drama is full of comedy. The moment you will think things are getting serious, it will hit you with a huge laugh.

The drama is about Xiaoqian who dreams into her own drama as a minor character. I love this kind of stories. So the moment I read the synopsis, I jumped into the drama.

Zhao Lusi, as usual did a great job with her character. She is so cute and boubly. She pulled her character very well and will make you fall in love with her.

Ryan Ding also did a great job. His character Han shou is the cutest husband one will ever get. Initially he came for his own interest. But the moment he fall in love with Chen qianqian, he will not let her go. He is scheming, cold and ruthless but the moment he sees Chen qianqian, his heart melts. Such a caring and cute husband.

Not only the main leads but other characters will entertain you as well. Especially the servants of the main leads. They are hilarious and adorable.

As a whole, this drama is a must watch if you are having a hard time cause this drama will surely make you laugh.

A must watch drama who likes romcom as well as others.

The best of all that I watched (more than a thousand drams)
The plot is an excellent banter, over the scriptwriter's procession and the world of dramas.
smart heroin (can you imagine yes?), The hero is no less intelligent. All characters are complex and deep, very ambiguous. God, what servants!
I cried and laughed in every episode. A couple so touching.
Тhe plot is incredible, dynamic and smart. This is the first drama in which there are no huge logical holes.
I enjoyed every episode.
I would like to heartily thank everyone who came up with this and took it off. The best romanic comedy EVER!)
God send us a SPETIAL! I'd like a little more "candy floss" in the end.

I was totally entranced by this creative story! I appreciate how the screenwriter(s) used humour and romance to tackle certain social issues like gender inequality. Stll being a rom-com after all, I am glad that this drama did not dwell too much on being serious. There was abundant use of cliches and tropes, but they were put together well. The drama factor was low-key, but despite being one of the cutest drama that I have seen lately, some scenes still managed to get my tears flowing.

When I watch the trailers for this drama, I noticed how much chemistry the OTP had, and it immediately drew me in. Zhao Lu Si delivered a great performance as Chen Qiao Qiao. I think she does comedy very well and while I was not impressed by her look in "I hear you", her loveliness shone through in this show. She was endearing, charming, and just plain adorable. Ryan Ding's portrayal of Han Shuo was perfection as well. I thought that he acted well in "Intense Love," but in this drama, he showed a broader acting range in playing Han Shuo's complex character. I enjoyed seeing Han Shuo's character development - from cunning and cold, to faithful and protective. To me, Ryan's performance was a big part of why the story worked so well. He's very charismatic, and I love his micro-expressions. He can easily cause one's heart to flutter.

One thing I really liked was how devoted Han Shuo and Pei Heng were to Qian Qian. Despite all her silly antics, her lies and betrayal, Han Shuo was not able to act cruelly towards her. Even after being friend-zoned by Qian Qian, Pei Heng continued to remain supportive, and cared for her. Talk about committed hearts!

The supporting cast was fun and quirky, and two leads' male servants, Bai Ji and ZhiRui were hilarious. Their bromance was so fun to watch! I like that there was depth to the characters, including the villains. The story flowed really well and effectively created conflicts that people can sympathize with.

As for the music, it was ok - other than the intro song, I don't remember much of it. However, that could be because I was laughing out loud so much and not paying attention.

Overall, this drama surpassed my expectations! It is very entertaining, fast-paced and filled with lots of fun and silliness!

I am going to write a quick and simple review.
This drama was probably the most funny drama I watched out of the 30 dramas I watched so far. The plot was interesting while there were a lot of jokes. I really like how the main leads closets servants where so loyal while being ridiculously funny at the same time. Another reason why this drama was great for me is how short it is, I mean it has like ummmmmmmm like 24 episodes. That means this drama was faced paced and not too draggy like the other dramas I watched before.

Overall this drama is AMAZING

Watch if you want to have fun! Funny, meta and romantic <3

This show is so much fun! The humour is meta but absolutely fresh and avoids overused tropes.

The story follows a screenwriter who tries to make changes to her script as the actor isn't happy with it. She gets trapped in the plot as a side character who was supposed to be killed off on ep3. Out of self preservation she tries to spare her own life while trying to bring the leads together. What ends up happening is a hilarious mess instead of the tragedy action romance she has written.

I love how the romance is portrayed. QQ(our protagonist) is trying to get the story on track according to her script and pushes the HS(ML) towards the FL in her script. Unfortunately the ML no longer has any interest in the script FL and has his eyes set on QQ. He is the lead shipper for our couple.

I am a Zhao Lusi fan and she is delightful as the FL . She absolutely shines as the protagonist and has fantastic screen presence . Ding Yuxi is handsome and pulls off the initially prejudiced but supportive loving and funny husband role very well.

I have rarely seen shows being able to keep up the humour throughout as this one does. A comparable show would be The Eternal Love which I really loved as well. Please watch this show if you want to have fun :D

I personally don’t like Chinese ancient themes but this one, I wanted to watch. Initially, the first few episodes, the plot intrigued me so much. I loved the idea of the two towns and how distinct they were. It was so refreshing and fun to watch female dominance.

The characters are literally the best part. I commend the writer for creating such lively and realistic characters, all important to the plot. The chemistry and coordination between all the leads and supporting characters was beautiful. The characters were all rational and written with depth. I didn’t find anyone to be overly annoying or exaggerated. The character development was so well done. It felt like I was watching them all grow and become more important individuals which I rarely see in Chinese dramas.

The romance shines bright and gives you the desired butterflies in your abdomens. Our main leads, Han Shuo and Qianqian were the best example of a healthy couple. Han Shuo, seemingly cold and arrogant, warms up to Qianqian and protects her with his whole heart. He was the perfect male lead, aggressive at times and soft for her. I personally loved his character the most. He displayed such wholesome affection for Qianqian, I fell in love!

The comedy is (unlike most dramas) very clever. They don’t force laughter upon the audience but it’s the small spontaneous comebacks or actions which blew me away, making it seem like a realistic world. I fell off my couch laughing so many times and it’s crazy how I rarely find “rom-coms” comedic.

I just wish, there was more. An insight into the real world. I miss it and will be rewatching soon. ?

Where to start with this drama. Before watching this, i thought that i wouldn't enjoy it. But boyyyy was i wrong.
This drama was amazing. I loved every part of it. For starters, the actors. WOW. They played the characters perfectly. The main leads especially. Their chemistry was amazing. They had a cute, and loving relationship. As well as funny. For me some other dramas take a while to notice the chemistry. But with this couple i noticed it right away. The story was amazing too. It wasn't dragged out like some. It was evenly spaced throughout the 24 episodes. And i didn't feel bored at all. Then ending was happy too, so that't a bonus. The only thing i'd want more from this drama was a longer ending. Maybe a longer reunion between the main leads. Or even better, a season 2 for the couple in the modern world. While watching this i had a theory that maybe the main FL and ML's soul might have travelled to a parallel world where FL'S script actually happened. But that's only my creative thinking lol. But for anyone who is thinking of watching this, just watch it. You won't regret it. The only bad thing you would feel, is after you've watched it all you don't ever want it to end. 100% one of my top chinese dramas. And i most definitely will be re watching this. The only problem now is i have no idea what to watch next. Overall the entire cast was great, and wouldn't change a single actor or character!

The Romance of Tiger and Rose is the only drama I have ever watched which I want to watch over and over again!
The on-screen and off-screen chemistry between Ding Yuxi and Zhao Lusi is just off the charts?I'd just like to say, the casting director did an amazing job! Each and every actor played their role amazingly.
The drama is soooooo funny and the romance is sooooo sweet. I heard the director has already confirmed for season 2. Fingers crossed it's the same cast. I can't wait to watch the next season?

The plot of this drama is something I've never seen before. For that alone, I think it's worth watching, simply because among asian dramas there are so many remakes and the reuse of story lines. For a CDrama I found it especially refreshing, because I usually get tired of the FL, but I didn't with Qianqian. It also helped that the drama was only 24 episodes. There was no time for the screenwriters to f**k around with any extraneous plot. I found it to be a great mix of comedy, drama, and sweet romance. I also like how the ending was tied up, which I wasn't expecting.

I think I can flat out say that Ryan Ding is my new favorite Chinese actor. I am a stan, I am committed, I am ready for more. To already have so many leading roles under his belt at such a young age, I'm excited to see what he takes on next! The chemistry between the leads is fantastic on and off set. All of the supporting characters are well rounded and have a place. I really hope this drama gets renewed for a second season so we can see ShouShouxQianQian in a modern setting.

TLDR; If you like romantic comedy, add this to you PTW for sure!

Finally, I was able to watched another refreshing cdrama!

Story- There's no "real" villain in this drama only circumstances that lead them to a certain decision. This is a very light hearted drama for those who are into rom-coms, I must say that this one is highly recommended. It's fun to watch, hilarious and witty, lots of notable scenes that you'd repeat over and again. Fast paced and not draggy at all, good numbers of episode.

Acting/Casts- This is one of the few dramas that have undeniable chemistry between the leads both on and off cam. The side characters/supporting did an awesome job as well, they were all given the chance to shine without taking the main lead's screen time. All of the casts fits perfectly to their role. Ryan Ding and ZLS is my new favorite screen partner! If they are planning to have season 2, hope they get the same casts, it'd be awful if one of them is replaced, I think everyone is perfect for their roles.

Music- Hmm the OST is a little lacking, could've been better.

Rewatched value- Don't ask me..lol I rewatched each episodes many times while waiting for the next episodes, so yeah, it's up to you, but for me, lots of cute and funny scenes that is worth going back over and again. No boring scenes, didn't skip or fast forward any scenes at all.

Overall, I think this is one of the best cdrama rom-coms I have ever watched so far so I highly recommend this one!

SUMMARY OF Y U SHLD WATCH:
Its a full pack of romance and comedy and by that i mean its super duper sweet [it has me screaming in the middle of the night] and super funny because of the supporting actors, mainly the main leads servants adding to the drama. i bet with you, it isnt a waste of your time to watch this. i got hooked within the first 3ep like please please watch this drama if youre finding for something with a TEENY bit revenge [actl its jealousy not revenge] but at the same time packed with romcom
SUMMARY OF THE STORY:
I JUST CANNOT explain how much feelings i have for this show overall. i just think its perfect, really really perfect.
im just gonna summarize everything a little bit [not the synopsis] xiaoqian goes into her script and becomes qianqian who is supposedly an arrogant and 'I MUST GET WHAT I WANT' kind of princess, everyone is scared of her but her mother adores her alot, she gets what she wants. she meets hanshuo who is her husband from the country opposing huayuan. he is gonna die due to his heart disease, he survives and the story of them as a couple starts. they go through shit ton of up n downs, ML chases FL as hard as he can but she just couldnt see her feelings for him. the ending is perfect but too short, leading me to think that there will be a season 2 but at the same time i dont really think so.
STORY:
PERFECT, arguments are dealt with within an episode or two [ you guys must must brace yourself for the high point aka the worst fight of the drama because it isnt sad but its funny and sexy and hot FOR REAL its still pg13 :>] zhao lu si fits her character super well. if you know her off cam you will agree. she gets adored by everyone shes around. hanshuo is just an OMG. i fell in love with him because of his looks and mainly because of how much he loves the FL and how he treats her even though she keeps [she seems like she is but she really isnt, its mostly misunderstandings] lying to him
ACTING:
ive watched all the bts, let me tell ya. their chemistry is super duper good, i really think they are dating or something hehe i kinda hope they do. they really suit each other on and off screen. the other actors did really well. i really must say that the elder sister is really really really beautiful n cute.
MUSIC:
i like the little snippets i hear, i havent hear the whole sound track but base on the little snippets they give us. everything's good
REWATCH:
10000000000000000/10
RECOMMENDATIONS IF YOU LIKE THIS DRAMA:
Korean -
W: Two worlds
A girl gets pulled into a viral webtoon world her father created, she falls in love with the male lead of the webtoon. basically like how xiao qian got stuck in her script world
Chinese-
THE eternal love [by xingzhaolin] - a girl time traveled accidentally to the period world and was married to the 8th prince, mo lian cheng. this show is super funny because the original girl [in the period world] is a quite and gentle girl. however the girl brought from the modern world is aggressive and short tempered. she wont let anyone bully her or anyone she loves. its also packed with comedy and romance keke. theres a season2 for this!!
- Theres this another show but i really forgot its name, its about this prince suddenly appearing in a girl's room in the modern world. something about a turning lamp...

First let me start of with how much I recommened this drama and that I loved it. PERIOD
And then let me explain to you in details why I find it so very nice to watch ( opps, for whatever reason my remark sounded little bit Jane Austen there)

Let's talk about the STORY, it's a historical, time travel story that obviously has already been done a lot before. You know this when you watched a lot of dramas, if you're new to asian dramas ..... well now you know, be prepared there are a lot of those. But here they put in the twist of the screenwriter trapped in her own story, which was a great way to rewrite those stories that has been done before. The story is definetly a great comedy with a little bit of drama in between but for sure nothing too much, so if you're looking for a melodrama (which sometimes I need! :D) , this is not it. It's kept light, fluffy and oh man cheesy ..... but come on that's why we watch these dramas, right? (Because hell men I don't get enough of those moments in real life, wait let me correct that; I NEVER get those moments IRL) That's why I think this is the perfect watch to distract ourselves from anything that's going on in the world or in your life. And be on the lookout for a little easter egg at the end, which I loved! (It starts with Hua .... DM me if you know what I mean)

The ACTING, like already mentioned it's a comedy and those are meant to be played in a comedic way and I think all of the actors did a great job. I can't imagen someone else playing the female lead other than Zhao Lu Si, she did a great job. Feels like this character was written for her. The male lead actor was also really good, loved his cute expressions! :)

the MORAL of the story was awesome. It's my first time seeing the subject of unequality between woman and men being mentioned and I think they played it out in a very funny but deep way, at the same time, especially with the two cities representing two different minds. I liked very much the conclusion they came to at the end :)

The "VILLIANS" were not really dramatic and they were understandable, you couldn't really hate them.
Something nice to mention is also maybe that the second male lead syndrome didn't really happen to me since I was fully devoted to both first leads, so if you dislike falling for the SML; this is the drama for you.

24 episoded were the perfect length, but I'm here for a second season in the modern world.... but only with the same actors. If not I wouldn't watch it, well I would probably still watch it but.... less happy, let me tell you that!

So to wrap it all up... I loved it and totally recommend it I just didn't give it a 10 because it wasn't that complex of a drama.
