My second review :)

I really liked this one, and I'm glad that I summoned up the courage to watch it. Since it has the theme of Shounen Ai.

But it was so delicately put in it's story and the actors were superb. I had watched the first one and that was good but since then I think I have matured more to appreciate this kind of stories.

As I said, the actors did a great job. Actually all kinds of first-love experience's makes me happy to watch. And I was happy to see that they brought back one of the mains from the first movie.

I can highly recommend this movie to someone with an open mind cause this made me so calm and moved by the sweet story. Good job scriptwriters and I salute to the ountstanding actors.

Thank you for taking time to read my review, do watch it!

Not worth the trouble

sorry that my comment starts off negative - but considering reading the positive comment made me watch this, i feel the need to warn others. this is a waste of time - and what astounded me, is that people not only liked this, they gave it 10 out of 10 - why? how? this was just bad.. and not, as in boring or a plot with holes, the character's were bad - there wasn't one i liked. and plz - this is anything but love. this lust! basic sexual attraction nothing more nothing less.. trying to sell this, as a love story is an insult to the word love.

we got Sasaki who isn't just a pushover, yes-man he comes of a bit "slow" as in "the special needs" kinda way - watching him made me cringe in embracement and shame. he has little to no self worth/respect. and happily enables everyone around him to step all over him - happily smiling and excusing their behavior - when they do nothing, to even act apologetic - talk about doormat mentality.

then u got his supposed love interest - talk about a joke - this dude takes being a tsundere to a new detestable level. like most abusers, they can spot a "weak link" in the blink of an eye - little wonder Tamura can't help getting on Sasaki case, openly insulting this moron - who just bows and vows to do better - watching this made me see red - this is romance 101 sadism style

and if these two weren't enough we got Sawako, Sasaki's childhood friend that is more bulldozer then female. it was obvious to the world that she wanted more with Sasaki, who she kept pushing and shoving verbal. basically making a nuisance of herself. could go on and on - about how i despised this - but for what? think my sentiment is pretty clear. what a disappointment -

Love, devotion, jealousy. This film loosely follows Ai No Kotodama, but only in theme, it is not a sequel. In my opinion, it is even better than the first one. Anyone who can switch to the Japanese "style" will find a very cute piece supported by Hiromufi's extremely well-played (and Japanese-style) slightly eccentric character. In fact, what drives some individuals to insanity deserves admiration, as it was beautifully and stylishly shot. The second character wasn't bad either (Tamura Shinji) and the "eared" Sawako magically completed it. The music is excellent, especially towards the end. The beautiful experience was supported by subtitles from ZuzanQy.

I druhá postava nebyla špatná (Tamura Shinji) a kouzelně to dokreslila "ušatá" Sawako. Hudba výborná, především ke konci. Krásný zážitek podpořily sk titulky od ZuzanQy.

It's OK, nothing noteworthy.

It's a good movie to watch when you're bored or just want to play something in the background. There's not really a good slowburn aspect, but that is to be expected of a movie. Story was meh, but it did have a somewhat creative plotline with the Matryoshka doll and it's significance. In my opinion, the main character Hirofumi is FAR too awkward. There's a line between being awkward but the acting is bearable and then there's being awkward and the acting being awkward too. Although I will say that I liked the love interest, Shinji. His acting was actually not that bad and felt genuine. On the other hand, these two as a couple did not feel genuine or authentic and the final kiss scene was honestly repulsive because of how unnatural it felt. Dude was kissing with his eyes wide open and they even added an intimate scene that looked even worse because they were just flailing around and mouth breathing on one another. The movie is old so I can't be too harsh on it but it definitely has it's shortcomings. I'd watch only if you just need something to watch. It wasn't horrendous, just awkward.
