Although one is set at an in and the other is set at a restaurant they both hey both have a clash of the old and the new. As for the best okami (and in my opinion show?) Osen, hands down!

Although set in different periods (one historical, one present), both dramas are about women dedicated to traditional japanese cooking.
It is no complicated premise, but both series manage to make it appealing through good acting (especially by the two leading women) and a warm, lighthearted atmosphere without getting too simple or annoyingly repetetive.

the two shows' endearing point: wafuku

- it's as simple as that

Both about the very traditional japanese accommodations and the family values which tie who works within.
