This movie had potential...but while it wasn't a bad movie, it failed to live up to it's potential in my eyes. It didn't explain why anything really happened, and the last 5 minutes left me scratching my head. Other than that, i LOVED the use of foreigners speaking perfect Korean as the two side characters. The music conveyed the mood perfectly. As for rewatch value, it's an alright movie to rewatch. Overall this movie is getting an 8, mainly because i felt like it didnt explain a lot of stuff.

Before I watched this movie I read several reviews of it. Most of them said that there is no explanation for everything that happens. I disagree, the movie does explain why things happen the way they did. Maybe not with words, but with actions. From the start we know about the ability Cho In has. And when we meet Kyu Nam the first hint about his ability is already given. Throughout the movie it gets more and more clear why Kyu Nam is able to resist Cho In's mind control. I think the makers of this movie showed it in a very clever way, instead of just saying it, showing it.

This movie can be really harsh at times. Meaning it's not for the weakhearted. I loved this movie. It was exciting from beginning to end and left me sitting on the edge of my chair. The acting was great. Kang Dong Won is a really good actor, and I loved how they used foreigners (who spoke fluent Korean, yay!).

I would definitely recommend this movie. Unless you are weak of heart of course ;)

The story line for this drama is very straight forwarded and the actors did a very good job in bring there characters to life. However, this movie brings a lot of question on how Im got so strong and indestructible, or if there are others that can control people as well. Yet over all it's a simple movie with a simple plot that just happened to bring many brain teasers to the possibilities of the human mind and body. I would recommend this movie just for the great effort that every actor put into this movie despite the complex storyline.

I rly liked this movie. I love nething that is paranormal/supernatural. This to me is kinda like the movie w/ Bruce Willis & Samuel L Jackson "Unbreakable." The end was a little off, but I can deal w/ it b/c that is how the movie ended. I was rly surprised that they actually had non-Korean actors that could speak the language fluently & act at the same time. Most non-native speakers r thinking too much about the words that something is lost in the acting. One of my only probs w/ Kdrama/Jdrama/etc. is that not a single person knows how to give CPR or do basic wound care/. But I guess that is my own hang up b/c I work in the health field & have had to use the skills at some point in time in the past 12 yrs. For me if these skills were included then it would lend a sense of reality to more shows/movies. Even if the ppl died at least the hero/heroin tried more than just shaking the person & yelling their name, "open your eyes," or "wake up."

Neways, back to the movie! I don't think that ne1 could say this is not a good movie (but there r some dumb-asses our there). This movie is full of excitement but not in a physical fighting kind of way. It is more suspenseful in that u don't know what the "bad guy" (Kang Dong Won as Cho-In)is going to do next. It kept me on edge the whole time.

If ur reading this review I recommend that u watch this movie & see what it is about. ENJOY!~)

The premise of this movie is quite fascinating. Literally a battle of the minds between two great actors.

The tone of the movie is generally quite gritty. Some scenes that take place in the dark were, literally, so dark that I had to turn up the brightness on my laptop to the maximum. Frustrating, but not a major problem. I also really like the featuring of foreign blue-collar labourers speaking fluent Korean alongside Go Soo, something we never see in typical Korean dramas and movies.

Kang Dong Won's performance as a soft-spoken hobo-looking man with Professor X-esque abilities of mind control is positively terrifying, powerful enough to command an entire army of humans turned zombies (essentially that's how they behave even though they are still humans). It's my first time watching KDW so I will now check out other projects of his. It's a pity he is no longer interested in working on TV dramas. The funny thing is how 'uglified' the two leads are made to look when they're hotties in real life.

BUT, I didn't exactly understand the ending. Not sure if I'm stupid for not understanding it.

Kids, use your powers wisely!

This movie is a nice movie to watch on a sunday when you got nothing to do.
I really liked the story, it was to me quite unique and the special effects where good too! I didn't had any expectations but I really started to like this movie.

As this movie was coming to his end I was really dissapointed. The ending was so rough, not believable, unrealistic and I have some questions who remain unanswered. I hate it when a movie ends like that.

This movie had potential but they didn't do anything with it, too bad.

I really enjoyed this movie, but as the others said, it was really disappionting. The idea wasn't new, but I like these kind of stories very much so it disappointed me even more. It's like the writers thought: "We're making a fantasy movie, so everything is plausible" No, it's not. There were just too many WTF?! moments, but no positive WTF?! I am a really big fan of Kang Dong Won and the other actors were really good too. They really casted the right people, who gave of the right feeling for this kind of film. I don't know if I can say, you should watch it. Storywise it's somehow a really bad movie but everything else was great. I don't think I wasted my time watching this and I enjoyed it. If the writers didn't write that bad, it could have become one of my favourite movies.

Kang Dong Won's character in Haunter's is just so incredibly sad - as the other main lead character said "if we'd met under different circumstances perhaps we could've been friends" - Kang Dong Won's character Cho inwas betrayed, abused and brutalised all his life - so it was hard NOT to at least sympathise with his plight. Perhaps if those around him had taught him to control his power then things would've been better; or at least if they hadn't abused him when he was a child hen perhaps he may not have been as angry, filled with hate and a need for revenge when he grew into a man.

The other main lead Im Gyoo Nam (played by Go Soo) had a loving sister and a much happier life - so, even though he was also 'gifted', his attitude was far warmer and more positive than Cho in's. I know many abuse victims grow into wonderful adults and manage to come to terms with their past; but not everyone is able to do that and it seems that this movie showed both sides of the coin - those who do grow into good adults because, even though poor, they have love and support around them and those who grow up with abuse and brutality as their daily companion which feeds their need for revenge.....

For me, as usual, Kang Dong Won completely stole the movie; his bad guys roles always have layers - they're never JUST thugs, murderers, assassins, etc and so you tend to find yourself crying for them, sympathising with them or even begging them not to do what they're about to - that they CAN change. THAT is a sign of a good actor, when he can even get the viewer to care about someone who is basically the 'bad guy' and we should be utterly against....

The movie itself was good overall; the acting and the casting was excellent. The music wasn't great, but as I've watched this twice now I would say it has pretty good re-watch value.

The idea was good. But they could have made a proper story.
Why is he like that? How can he control people? Why he can't control just one person (and there's that cute little baby)? They should been explained things. The idea is hanging in the air. So many things left without answers.

The effects was good. Casting was great. It wasn't the usual korean movie characters; a Turkish, a Ghanaian and a Korean! I don't know about Gana culture but they described the turkish guy/culture in a right way.

I think the director tried really hard this movie to make it look good but because the storyline was missing a lot of important points, this happened. You can watch it and like it. But you really think that it's waste of good idea.
