Toshiyuki Tanishi is 27-year-old single guy, who has never had a girlfriend in his whole life. He works for small toy company, Saida Company. People view Toshiyuki Tanishi as stupid and the last person who will achieve success. Meanwhile, Toshiyuki has feelings for co-worker Chiharu, but is unable to approach Chiharu. Instead, Toshiyuki goes to telephone clubs or watch adult videos. One day, Toshiyuki gets along with the salesman Aoyama, from rival company Manmos. With Aoyama's suggestion, Toshiyuki is finally able to have dinner with Chiharu. After dinner, Toshiyuki and Chiharu miss the last train and go to a hotel. ~~ Adapted from the manga "Boys on the Run" (ボーイズ・オン・ザ・ラン) by Hanasawa Kengo (花沢健吾). Edit Translation

I thought this would just be a funny story of a nerdy guy trying to win his office crush, but it turned out to be a lot more. For starters, it got really complicated and exciting. It made me watch several episodes back to back. It was really funny, but it wasn't as shallow as I expected it to be. Surprisingly, there was a lot of growth, love, forgiveness, and redemption seen in almost all of the characters. I was really happy with the ending and the character development, and the drama itself was a lot of fun. So if you're in the mood for something funny, and you have the patience to watch a character grow then I would recommend it to you.

i managed to watch Boys on the run til the very end.
Conclusion:
- i still dislike Maruyama. gomen. there are moments when i think wow he's actually kakkoi, but these moments are SO FEW. really.
- i LOVE Saito Takumi. he's HOT, talented, has luscious lips... wow.
- UEDA UEDA UEDA UEDA UEDA MOOOORE. really. i started watching this because of him, and HE GETS LIKE ONLY 4 MINUTES IN EVERY EPISODE. FOOUUR. that's-NOT-ENOUGH. i LOVE him like this badass, rude, i-don't-give-a-rat's ass-about-you character and honestly, his acting is not as bad as i expected.
- aaand another drama, where the main girl wasn't annoying as hell.
I'm not going to watch this drama again, but hmm. it's a good one-time-only drama. makes you laugh (sometimes disgusted...) and if you like Maruyama, you'll have a great time.
