Same time frame of the story, based on a very similar Historical Mythos or Legendary person or folklore about Similar Characters of Ancient fables, While The Legend tells about essentially the same fable, and does it beautifully, and regally, Arthdal Chronicles takes the time frame and some of the very same legendary personas but is a completely different take from the Mythos, in a very interesting new direction.
not Arthdal level (there isn't any drama on it's level) but most close vibe I've seen in Asian dramas.
many things are close and similar, and if you don't know it is so old (2007) would think it's modern high budget drama.

- Both FLs are witty and mischievous but also strong and caring to their friends.
- Both FLs share the same destiny to destroy the world
- Both MLs are smart and scheming and they were both prodigys from a young age
- Both dramas have really good chemistry but the romance in the legend is more subtle
- Both dramas have a good balance between fantasy, politics and romance.
- Both were high budget in their time but Kdramas generally stage better battle scenes
- Both dramas have vast fantasy elements and adventure
- Both dramas have interesting characters and a theme of friendship
In general I think The Legend is the most similar to Legend of Fuyao

Both dramas are the stories of the blessed true king’s rise to power facing many hard trials when he/she goes up from level to level, but sometimes pays high price for it.
Of course, these two dramas have big difference: First King’s Four Gods (aka Legend) is a fantasy with lots of magic, Queen Seonduk is just a historic biopic (So, FKFG is about king Arthur, QSD is about Elisabeth I Tudor). FKFG was shortened and got sudden ending (with lost plotlines), QSD was prolonged and got additional story arc in its final part (thrilling but hard to watch).
Though QSD is a political drama almostly cleaned from supernatural it has many mythological tropes (like sky omens, prophecies etc.). QSD takes some plot twists and typical chacracters from FKFG or from other previous K-dramas about great kings.
Also in both dramas the unification of various Korean kingdoms is a sacred super-goal that justifies any means

Both have a supernatural and historical element to them. Both have a special prince who struggles to become king while fighting demons/spirits. Both have a tribe girl who helps him (who also has an older sister) and who he eventually falls for. Both also have an evil priest/shaman and some sidekicks to complete the love polygon.
I have a historical addiction. If The legend is my best kdrama, then Ice fantasy is best C-drama in my drama life.
- Big budget drama in history.
- Love long WHITE haired characters.
- Great ost, mesmeraizing background music.
- immortal /Gods.
- Same type of adventures.
- Strong female lead.
- Quest for same kind of power relics and ice crystals.
- Trajic ending of favourite characters.
- Lack of extreme romance, that's why I find both similar, and love both in my ways. (I really miss romance between ying kong shi- Yan da, but like their sweet-sour friendship )
- Annoying villain, I wanted to kill them for god's sake.
Overall both are worth watching. Happy watching.

These two dramas are related in how korea came to be. Events in Kim Soo Ro are before events in The Legend. Even so, the drama Kim Soo Ro uses logic more, compare to The Legend that uses power. Both stories involve the male lead having a love triangle with two women. They both are also about two men who are pre-chosen by destiny to be leaders.
