BEST SOFTBURN SERIES
First of all.. I DONT KNOW WHY I DON'T LIKE EARTH BEFORE????? I think he is a really good actor. The way his eyebrows twitches for the slightest concern really adds into detail in his acting. I really really love this series. It's a type of series where you don't have much heart-throbbing scene but I could feel that they are really connected to each other because of the heart. Seriously their acting is a new level. Mix's acting is good. I could feel that he act 100% and doesn't really takes care of his image. I really respect that and love him because of it. And this is kind of off topic but his face looks like Jin BTS mixed with Off. XDI love how the concept is Northern Thai and the fact that Tian took his time to get to know the villagers but doesn't really depends on Torfun's journal 100%. What they shows in the series are real. Most of Northern Thai people doesn't really feel education is necessary. What they portrays are really beautiful and the fact that every episode I keep on rooting them to kiss. OH MY GOD. The last episode is everything. They kissed once but it is so heartfelt that I went BOOM! BOOM! This series kind of give the vibe DOTS but not really.
Really love this series. I removed this series from my list before because of Earth but he is such a good actor now??/?? I don't even know what's wrong with me. Regardless, this series are 10/10. Love it. Really really love it. The chemistry is 100% on spot. New crush is Earth. Thanks. Hhahah. Will definitely watch the series again.

I RECOMMEND THAT EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH
To start off, I didn't have much expectation for this drama. However, this soon became one of my favorites and I would most definitely recommend everyone to watch it.The progress of the story was done really well and it's worth all the time I spent watching it. This drama made me take a step back and think about the importance of things (lowkey cliche, yeah). But it truly did such a great job at delivering messages without making it boring or super cheesy.
You get shown a different outlook on different but crucial subjects like poverty, hope, social classes, etc... through a heart-warming, supportive BL drama. The fact that these actors especially the main leads could portray their characters without using a lot of intimate scenes is amazing. A tale of a thousand star's casting was also significant in creating the right atmosphere and making this successful. Not to mention the absolutely beautiful OST/ music for this drama that was a perfect fit.

Phupha develops feelings for Tian over time during A Tale of Thousand Stars.
To cut to the chase, A Tale of Thousand Stars is a phenomenal BL drama and it’s up there with one of the best series in this genre. Each episode delivers heartfelt emotions, introspective character development, and a delightful romance that will have you smiling from ear to ear.
The characters feel authentic, and they are not solely defined by their relationship drama. Both Tian and Phupha have fully fleshed out characterization, and the romance is just one part of their well-rounded lives. They have hopes, fears, aspirations, and backstories, all of which are explored in depth.
A Tale of Thousand Stars makes a memorable first impression with an action-packed opening episode, filled with high emotions and high adrenaline. The next few episodes are equally strong, featuring some powerful moments of character development and self-introspection. All the stories felt intimate, inspirational, and intricately crafted.
After an engrossing start, A Tale of Thousand Stars suffers from a few missteps in its second half. One of the prominent storylines isn’t mapped out well, and the progress of the romance starts to drag near the end. Nonetheless, this drama earned so much goodwill with the first few episodes that any shortcomings can be easily overlooked.
A Tale of Thousand Stars exceeds all my expectations and sets a new standard of excellence in BL dramas. From the rich storytelling to the authentic acting, A Tale of Thousand Stars is a masterclass in every aspect of its production. The quality is so incredible that I’m almost left in a state of disbelief, like I can’t believe a BL drama is actually capable of being this good.

their acting was the best part of the series
When I first started watching ATOTS, I had no idea that it was Mix's FIRST BL!! His acting was just amazing, everything from tears to laughter to anger felt so real and it really makes you forget that this is a series?(one of the reasons i cried so much watching this was because of this man's ability to portray Tian's sadness with micro expressions, like holding in his tears, he did it so well) . And Earth was great too! I think he played the "cold man soft heart" character pretty well as he knows how to get his deliver them without being too unnatural.10/10 for acting
Plot
I personally love the plot although i know some people might find what happened it episode 7-9 to be annoying, in the end I've just come to terms with it. (spoiler) I would see why the villagers were mad since Tian didn't really give them any other explanation besides "Miss Torfun is dead, and I'm responsible" LIKE NO YOURE NOT??? I know that it was just his survivor's guilt letting out what he's been keeping to himself this whole time but I think it contributes to the way the villagers reacted. The forest rangers on the other hand, W.T.F. bunch of cowards?. Especially for Phupha, he uses the excuse of embarrassing him in front of the whole village just to "get him back home safe" and make Tian hate him. Hello??? Have you seen the way Tian was so kind to everyone in the village?? WHAT makes you think he won't understand if you nicely told him to go back?. Even if he doesn't, at least you tried. People really need to stop making decisions for my man Tian, he needs therapy ASAP.
Would also like to touch on Tian(Mix)'s character development like I'm pretty sure he has the best one yet. From rich brat (not like he had any other choice) to a volunteer teacher who tries his best to do anything he can to help the villagers is SO F*CKING HEARTWARMING I feel so happy everytime I think about it. After the heart transplant he really wanted to change his life and live for the better, and I respect him for that. He had everything he needed and had the ability to just stay home and recover but no, he went to a rural village and lived there for a couple months to complete some "unfinished business" of Torfun's, which I think he wasn't even responsible for but oh well, if it makes him feel better. And his chemistry with everyone in the village?? I can see why everyone loves him including the elders. And his bond with the students is undeniable, saddest scene was when he had to leave the village and say their goodbyes
100/10 should watch for Tian and his students<3
MUSIC
I have no words for the music in this series. Not sure if I'm overreacting but the songs are so good that i can't help but shed a tear everytime i play them. From the OST to Lom by Num Kala, exquisite.(or maybe im just an easy crier idk?) But the way the lyrics are written and how well they fit in the series really makes it even more special. 100/10 for music
Rewatch value
I would definitely rewatch this again after some time, I've just finished this a few days ago but the urge to rewatch it is already kicking in. Will probably watch Cupid's Last Wish before rewatching this! But would definitely rewatch for the tears and the feels.
9/10
10/10 series with just a little bit of flaw, but that's probably just how life is. Also forgot to mention how after everyone episode ends, they give you a meaningful quote from the episode, so good.

Perfection at its finest
Okay so I have watched a considerable number of Bls and i have got to say that this drama COMPLETELY STANDS OUT for me. The storyline, the acting, the setting and even the songs/instrumentals used in this drama is perfect. This is not your ordinary bl where both male leads fall in love with each other; this drama teaches you lots of life lessons-patience, resiliance, forgiveness, love for others, and even self love. I have fallen completely and utterly in love with the character, Tian. Since kongpob from the other Bl drama " sotus", I have not fallen in love with another drama character until I met Tian from ATOATS.A lot of Bls rely on hot scenes, kisses and makeout sessions to keep the fan girls screaming and coming back for more, but those are not needed here because this drama's story is captivating enough to keep the audience intrigued and begging for more. Am in love with this

A journey to find the meaning of life
This series is One of a kind. This series have done justice to the novel. Hats off to the director for portraying this journey in the best way. Never thought a BL can be portrayed with such a purity."To win over someone's heart, You must first give your own," - 1000 stars.
This drama really won my heart.
The reason why i liked this series is because its not like any other BL or normal Lakorn. This series took up the thai dramas to a whole new level.
Am an Indian. And i started to watch thai lakorns and BLs with my friend's recommendation since last year. And i've seen 70% of the lakorns and BLs since i have no work LOL hahaha... But seriously all the existing BL's just shows the romance and hardship of the lead to get together. But on the contrary 1000 stars showed how to value the life and also taught the real meaning of happiness and the meaning of life.
I assure you that you can re-watch this drama over and over again, you will never get bored of it...
It increased my expectation level for other upcoming series.

A rare gem!
Ah! What can I even say? This is one of the best series I've ever watched! It is very lively and light on the heart! GMMTV never fails to impress their audience and leave them content by the end of it. The storyline and characters of this BL are very unique. It so beautifully highlights village life and it's difficulties, along with the fulfillment and joy that one gets from being loved by so many people.
The story of Tian with his rich and unfulfilled life contrasting the story of Phu with his strong dreams and will to serve the people and the way their lives and stories intertwine to become one in the end is a heartwarming journey! It is indeed painful that he has to live with the guilt of taking someone else's heart and making it his own, but the way he tries his best to fulfill what the original owner of the heart dreamt of, is very selfless indeed!
In a BL point of view, the sweet moments that they had, though limited, are very heart-fluttering! I thought it would be unnatural and was a little disappointed when they said "2 years later" but I was actually impressed by the way they made it look so natural and beautiful! That kiss in the end was the most awaited one! In the BL world, these are one of the most non-toxic couple and do deserve to be top-rated!
My favorite character I think would be Chief Phu (Earth) because of his extremely kind heart that totally contradicts his stern face, his caring and helpful nature, his extremely handsome physique and his powerful commanding ability. I have literally fallen in love with his character and even the actor! He is so talented and looks like a Greek God!
I even love Dr. Nam for being such a good friend and advisor along with teasing his friend every chance he gets. But I feel like Earth wouldn't have had the courage to confess to his man without Nam's support.
The casting for this series is very apt! The actors fit into those characters perfectly! So, a total 10/10 for the actors. Both Earth and Mix were exceptionally good!
By the way, Gmmtv should include in the disclaimer to take a box of tissues along with you while watching the last 3 episodes, cause literally all I did was cry in the last 3 episodes! The last forehead kiss in the airport though, makes you blush like hell and cry happy tears!

THE BEST THAI BL SERIES SO FAR
This is one of the Thai BL series that made me cry so hard! Because of my attachment to the characters and series, I made my own version of the OST song and music video of this series:https://youtu.be/aezyvtjFW7c
The actors are very fit on their characters. You cannot think of anyone else who can portray the roles. Cinematography is really superb for this series. It feels really different from the others. The story is really deep and very different from the usual university setup series.

Is the Hype True ?
First off I love the fresh setting outside of a university. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and making want to book a plane ticket to Thailand right after the pandemic is finally over!
My biggest issue with this series is the way the heart transplant situation is handled. Yes it’s a drama I know but it’s very hard to wrap your head around the idea that a heart (an organ ) can change someone’s whole being from within.
The constant comparison between Tian and Torfun is unnecessary and frustrating, if the plot had not been too weak it could be a much more beautiful journey of self discovery , growth and finding love.
What I am mostly enjoying is the interactions between our two handsome leads, their chemistry is one of the best I have seen in recent BLs.

A beautiful tale of self discovery and a sublime romance !!
I'm reviewing this after having re-watched it now for the 3rd time after a year of first time watching it !! Trying to fill the void left by the completion of Bad Buddy, I didn't know what to watch so decided to give my favourite BL another try and having done that I realized why this series was my favorite until Bad Buddy took the top spot recently ...Nevertheless this is still a very close 2nd and will always remain one of my favorite series ever...The story itself is mesmerizing and a respite from the usual BL tropes that have become common to the point of being predictable and boring!! The writing is meticulous and every scene has a purpose and nothing feels like a filler. There are no loose ends and everything is tied up beautifully by the time the credits roll on the last episode.
The direction by P'Aof is assured as always and he brings out the best from all the cast and crew. Special mention must be given to the production design of the show which is immaculate. Every detail looks authentic and nothing looks like it's added for the sake of creating an atmosphere...I don't know whether it was an actual village they shot at or it was all sets but it actually feels like a genuine village...
The OST is beautiful and the title song is used at perfect occasions causing goosebumps and butterflies at the required moments between the couple!!
Lastly coming to the best part of the show...The acting and chemistry of its 2 main leads ...Earth and Mixx exude a rare level of comfort together which is visible in every scene of them ..there is no cringe, no awkwardness and most importantly they look like 2 people in love ..their chemistry at times sweet and at times fiery lifts the show to a whole new level...Earth has given a nuanced performance which just strikes the correct balance his character requires...But the real star of the series and the MVP is Mixx in his debut role, who brings a level of intensity in his performance that even seasoned actors fail to bring at times...not only is he extremely good looking, but his face radiates every expression that Tian is feeling effortlessly ...he gets most of the heavy and emotional parts of the show and not once he fails to deliver in any of those scenes !! Watching him perform is just so satisfying !!
Another aspect of the show which I really liked is that though predominantly it's a love story, the focus of the writing is not just on the couple but the characters as individuals. The leads have a personality of their own and face problems and issues that have nothing to do with the romance aspect. Apart from being a love story, ATOTS is also a story of self-discovery and forgiveness a story of community and found family..

One of the best Thai/BL shows in my book.
A Tale of Thousand Stars is a rare gem. They don't quite make shows like this one. The storyline, characters, scenery, music, and acting were phenomenal. This show has a lot of value and really makes you take a step back and analyze your own life. I've seen my fair share of Thai/BL shows, but this one truly left me stunned. The storyline is intriguing and meaningful, and the characters are so full of depth. The romance is slow but amazing. You can tell it's there just between the exchanged looks and actions of the characters, and the build-up is worth the wait. The growth of the main characters was one of my favorite things about this series. Tian is easily my favorite, and I was rooting for him the entire time. Mix and Earth, the main actors, did beyond amazing, and I would love to see more of them in the future. I'm crossing my fingers GMMTV continues to make shows like this because this is exactly the kind of shows we need to have. Was this review helpful to you?
Something new … A breath of fresh air!
The only reason I decided to watch this drama is the reviews, all 9s and 10s; then I was like okay, let me give it a try.Started off well and I got hooked. I mean the music to begin with rhymes with the remote location. It eases you into the story line so smoothly.
This drama is a change of scenery. I love that it's not school (college) based. (God! I've had enough of those, not that I won't watch them though). Tian and Phupha, great chemistry, well aided by the doc (Nam), Yod and Rang. They bring humor to the whole series and it blends really well with the serious faced Phupha.
The whole setting, everything is just perfect. This is one of the series I wish had like 2 more episodes...hoping for a second season. It looks unfinished in my opinion, esp the last episode. It's left me with a few questions that I pray will be addressed, though the ending was beautiful.
Oh, the airport scene had me in tears of joy.
Tian and Phupha dive deep into their characters and produce one of the best series in 2021.
