Sweet, fluffy romance.

so.. i actually fell in love with the opening song of this drama and it convinced me to keep watching it after i left it at ep 5. Im so glad i did because it was so good! Yes it has the typical love story however it was portrayed differently from other romance dramas in my opinion. The FL wasnt shy went it came to kissing etc which is so rare to see in Chinese dramas as they usually make the FL so shy and awkward which kills the vibe? Long story short; the chemistry was great between the two and it has a good storyline. Lovely to watch so i would definitely recommend it ?

I fell in love with this drama. Both the romance and the story were beautifully executed.

One of my favorite aspects of this drama is the Female leads journey to discover herself and what she wants out of her life after her dreams of being a celebrity crumble. It was very realistic with many ups and downs. Made me feel like I was on that journey right along with her and that this drama wasn’t solely focused on her romance but also her growth as an individual.

Her romance with Han Che was also amazing. He’s a wonderfully flawed character, and his sincere feelings for her shine through. It’s hard not to be upset with him when he gets hella petty throughout the drama but in a way it also made me like his character, despite him being a “genius” this is no perfect male lead, he’s got his own issues and is severely lacking in social skills. Whenever Nuan Nuan gets angry at him it’s entirely deserved so I really enjoyed him having to fight for her in the later part of the drama.

I actually really enjoyed the side characters as well, they weren’t annoying or boring, they actually have good storylines. I didn’t skip ahead during their parts and that’s saying a lot because I tend to fast forward most side stories when I realize I don’t care about what’s going on with that character. Han Chen was a character I had mixed feelings about, I gotta admit I got slight SLS, his character is super sweet and the back story between him and Nuan Nuan was just beautiful and touching. If this were real life and I were Nuan Nuan I would have most likely fallen for him instead of Han Che. He truly loved Nuan Nuan and to not pull the classic “ I will win you at all costs” move with the whole King secret made me have mad respect for him. He truly just wanted her to be happy. But in the wise words of Nuan Nuan if you don’t know whether it’s love then that means it isn’t and her heart told her who she loved without a doubt. Overall it’s a wonderfully fluffy story with a great soundtrack and beautiful ending.

It was cute at first but...

I quite enjoyed the fluffy, sweet moments of the leads and even the second leads of this drama at first, but then it got repetitive for me at the end. The leads always seem to misunderstand each others' intention, but the moment of realization of the truth became quite cute. I was a bit confused at first thinking Lin Jia Yi is the antagonist of this drama, but there were moments where I find her friendship with Nuan Nuan and Xue cute. Han Chen suddenly having a love line with Jia Yi (I know it's because of a show) made it so awkward to watch. We all know where their hearts go so forcing the two to have chemistry felt so weird as an audience. I personally enjoyed Han Xue and Gu Li's love story though. I think among all the plot lines, theirs is the one I really had fun watching as they develop from being big sister/little brother to lovers. The OST for this drama is really good that I kept listening/watching the opening and credits just to enjoy the song. Would I recommend this drama? I mean if you're really bored and don't mind seeing confusing plots, sure yeah. This drama has a lot of cute scenes, made me laugh at times too, but the ending plot er was a bit turn off for me. Made me question why they suddenly added it at the end when it wasn't really mentioned much in the whole series (Didn't want to give spoiler so I won't say more about it)

What a great chemistry between the casts-eleanor lee & connor lee.?Indeed, they totally have given justice to their roles as Nuannuan and Han Che.
Their professions here were totally an envy to others. Why? It's because it's not a typical job offered among the scenes of drama.
Kudos to the writer of this drama and to the director as well. I even admired the others casts for portraying their roles and made this series a worth watching series in the league of chinese dramas.
I'm hooked with their acting skills and thus, I'm looking forward to their new dramas. Truly, their love team is the best.?
I recommend this drama to your watchlist.?Please do'nt be hesitant to watch this series for it has only 24 episodes.
Moreover, my overall rating to this series is 10/10.??

Love the story!! although the story seems simple at first, but the writer succesfully put more depth. At first Jiayi got on my nerves and the plot got mess a little bit. But believe me, this drama is getting better towards the end. The couple's problems were resolved quickly or atleast still bearable. It been a long time I have a big smile and feel so heartwarming while watching last episode, the last half part of the last episode seriously beautiful yet they keep it simple. No need to ask their chemistry, it is top notch. The growth of characters also really got me, nice to see especially Nuan Nuan to realize her dream and try to be independent.

Cute love story

My Love, Enlighten Me is a very cute love story.

I loved the concept of a failed girl group that needs to adjust in real life and figure out what they would do with their life. Nuannuan is a very likeable character which is very strong and hard working. She didnt act dumb like the female lead in other dramas which I really liked. Her character was very good and grew so much. Eleanor Lees acting is very good!
Han Che however is more like the typical male lead in such storys. The genius with a lack of emotion. But I still liked that he fell for Nuannuan first, tried to get her and eventually was really cheesy.

What I loved: No real villain. A lot of people say Lin Jia Yi is the villain but I dont see it like that at all. She did some bad decisions but she was never really evil. It was refreshing watching a drama without a villain who tries to bring the main lead down all the time. Han Che and Nuannuan are really cute together and the actors did an amazing job. I really liked every character they had as main character. I also loved the OSTs.

What I disliked: In every workplace Nuannuan had, there was a evil girl who hated her. That was kinda annoying. A lot of misunderstandings happend as well which I didnt really liked. Also Guo Li and Han Xue wasn't really that nice to look at. There were a lot of times where I thought Guo Li deserved someone better than Han Xue but at least he got the girl he wanted.

To sum everything up its a cute romantic story and shows how people can grow after hardships.

Female lead is brilliant

As you all can see I started my review with a headline about the actress. Yes!!! She was the main reason I finished the show.

I was shocked to see her real age and she is very young. God!!! She is so expressive, she completely overshadowed the ML . Like others my show of his was meteor garden and yes, his imagine and character in this drama is totally opposite. He needs to work on his acting. Initially it bothered me as his character was someone who is hard on the outside and soft inside ( like any other cdramas ML). So it took a while for me to adjust to his character later they both grew on me. This is the first show where writer has given importance to the FL 's character development and it is pretty strong. The couple really looks pretty good. Even 2nd lead couple are also pretty good.
Story is nothing out of ordinary. You just have to watch for the main couple. Only complaint I had was FL's hair do. I mean it's pretty evident that bangs doesn't suit her and curls really doesn't suit for shirt hair. These two combination ruined her beauty. She is really good looking but to make her character clumsy the stylist have given such bad look.
I hope the actress gets much more meaty roles in the future and looking forward to her many more dramas.

cute, easy-watch, and underrated

Story: Not going to even lie, it's been done before. There's a sweet, hardworking female lead and a cold, but intelligent genius who will eventually fall in love. Pretty standard, but everyone loves it, because the dude is a fragile sweetheart inside and the girl is a strong smart woman with everyone in the world trying to bring her down. I'm giving this an 8.5 because the first half of the show were pretty strong with gathering all kinds of emotions from me. Second half, I would've appreciated it more if they were consistent with Han Che's condition. It's like they introduced it in the beginning, no further development in the middle, then dropped a huge bomb on Nuan Nuan and the audience in the later half of the series.
*Note: Jia Yi's character came off toxic and unforgiving... If I were Nuan Nuan, I'd never be her friend again because the girl was just down right selfish. The writer really exposed the underside of 'friendship" with this. She had chances to do right, but she choose to betray her friends.

Acting/Cast: I saw Eleanor in TBB and TBB2 and loved her so much. In my opinion, being bubbly is her strong suit as she does so exceptionally well, and when it came to serious/emotional scenes, it felt like it must've been something new for her (correct me if i'm wrong), but she made cry with her several times, so I'm all for some serious roles in the future from
Eleanor. Leon did a good job. In my opinion, I feel like with Han Che's character, someone else could have made him very stiff and boring, but Leon captured him well. I appreciated all his subtleties. Second Couple were adorable, no cap. Xiong Yu Ting and Li Ming Jun did a great job and I instantly felt their chemistry!! Tim has the best puppy desperation face like he's been hurt for years, I honestly see him doing well in a period drama. With Li Xi Meng, I'm surprised she did well, because her relationship with Nuannuan was quite a roller coaster ride. She has potential seeing as this was her second drama and the first time she's played a more prominent role.

Music: Honestly, underrated. They're really good, and I enjoyed listening to the songs outside of the drama. The song that Eleanor sang, The Best of Luck, on tempo and in a slower tempo - brought me to tears during the scenes.

Re-watch Value: Okay to be fair, I gave this part of the review a 6, because having to relive that moment where Jia Yi had to spotlight on her and Han Xue & Nuan Nuan dancing behind her would be torture. I don't know if I'll be able to forgive her and I never did when I was watching the show. I'd say it's a pivotal plot point that nearly destroyed all of Nuannuan, but it also helped her meet Han Che, so I guess we can't be too mad about it. A salvaging part of the drama has to be the sweet moments and kiss scenes, they had great chemistry and the sweetness was comparable to Put Your Head On My Shoulder. IF THere were anything worth re-watching, it'd be Han Che and Nuannuan's love story.

Funny and entertaining drama. At first, I didn't think I would like this drama. At the beginning of watching, I felt this drama would be boring, but after I endured watching episode 1, I couldn't stop watching it until I finally finished this drama in just 2 days. The plot is good.

I really like the main character. Nuannuan, even though she had to face many problems and trials, she had a strong spirit and didn't give up. The characters are also cute and the acting is good. Han Che, the character is suitable and attractive. The chemistry between him and Nuannuan was very good, their acting complemented each other. I am very entertained whenever I see the two of them when fighting. And I really like their PDA! Ha ha ha.

The supporting characters are also good, Han Xue and Gu Li. Their love story cannot be forgotten. Unique and funny, even adorable. I also like Nuannuan's mother, she is very beautiful and charming.

Even though this drama seems cliché and ordinary, but I like its simplicity. Nothing extravagant and very entertaining.

This story is based on a love story between a coldman and a warm woman.
The leads really have a great chemistry. The concept of this story is really nice . This story filled with love, hate ,romance, comedy and heartbroken scene.
The side characters are really so cute
I liked their romance . The female lead who was determined. But she was conscious about her career. she likes her pet cat hotpot.
when the female leads knew that Hanche is the king, that's scene really so pathetic. But Hanche really loved her . He apologized for his work so many times.

I like the friendship bond Between Hanche's sister and Nuannuan.

overall I want to rate this story 9.5/10

A pretty good romcom

This has all of the cliches like forced cohabitation, memory loss, cold rich man versus poor woman, genius lead with perfect memory, and hate to love. So why did I like it so much? Somehow the actors breathe life into this story and get you emotionally invested despite all of the cliches. One night I just couldn’t make myself stop clicking the next episode button and ended up not going to bed till 3 am. The romance and comedy are spot on perfect too.

If you’re looking for a good romance then look no further. This has lots of real kisses, princess carrying, hugging, cuddling, flirting, and skinship. The secondary couple had me rooting for them early on. And I have to say I really like that this stays true to its genre. It starts out as a romcom and ends as a romcom. There was no sudden switch to an angst filled melodrama towards the end like most Chinese dramas have been doing lately.

Both leads have someone crushing on them. And it’s a big part of the storyline. And it causes a lot of misunderstandings which gets annoying. But since neither of the main leads have romantic feelings for anyone other than each other, I don’t consider it a true romantic triangle or square. I only consider it a love triangle if the main lead dates, considers dating, or has some romantic feelings for the rival in the love triangle.

The main drawbacks of this drama would be that it’s storyline is not very original. You know where it’s going and there are no real surprises. And the numerous misunderstandings between the main leads in the beginning gets a little annoying.

What saves it is the great acting, the chemistry of the main leads, and the comedy. And the main leads don’t wait till the last couple of episodes to get together. I also like the underlying theme and message it conveys. The main leads love for each other enlightened them and made them both much better people. I really enjoyed watching their character growth. And it’s true that if you marry the right person you can become a much better version of yourself. Because you encourage and inspire each other to do better. And that’s what they did. They rooted for each other pushed each other to be the best that they could be and it was inspiring. The ending is very satisfying and it’s not rushed.

Overall it’s a great one to watch if you like light sweet fluffy romcoms with a few misunderstandings and some mild angst and office politics but nothing too melodramatic.
