It's not bad
This is my first time reviewing a drama. It's as interesting as any other thriller korean drama. At first I thought to drop it. But I'm sure you won't regret watching it after completion. First two episodes might be boring, but things get interesting after that. It's not a must watch drama. If you are struggling to pick a drama, that too mysterious and fantasy one, you can l pick it undoubtedly. One more thing. This is a kind of new storyline. And an alert. Make sure to watch it when you have a completely free day coz you can't stop it in middle. Was this review helpful to you?

Train is an excellent drama that I've described to friends as "What Christopher Nolan Thinks He's Making". It's twisty turny and the way that it plays with alternate universes and the idea of fate is really interesting.I'm currently in the middle of a rewatch of Train with my dad, who has never seen it before. He is confused, but getting more animated as we go and is now at the point where he tells the people in the drama that they're being dumb, so I assume he likes it. For me, the rewatch is interesting because I'm able to pick up on things that I didn't in the first watch through.
Spoilers after this!
I'm sure the way that it ends isn't for everyone, but the idea that moving between the universes is what causes the same things to happen again made me go ? the first time I watched it. It's a deeply tragic concept and Do Wan leaving to protect Seo Kyung only for her to chase after him....It is everything that I love.

I love it.The actors have done a truly great job in delivering their characters, who are essentially the same persons but having different personalities due to their different upbringing. I've been following YSY's works as a 2D1N fan but they were either hit or miss, but his two latest projects (Psychopath Diary and Train) have really amazed me, partly due to the intriguing plot but also more importantly due to his excellent performances. Loving his script choices and hopefully we won't have to wait for long until his next project. I also love the way SSY portrayed her two characters, they both have the same vibe but with noticeable difference at the same time. Furthermore, it's superb how the chemistry of DW A and JM A as friends vs DW B and JM B as lovers (though only shown for a bit) can really be seen just from their expressions and interactions. The rest of the casts are also no less amazing!
The twist and turn were fun, the story flow to show which world we are in was very nicely done. I shouldn't have read the comment sections every week since everyone was too good at guessing the story XD But either ways, I like how they wrap a lot of questions in the last episode. Not only with the culprits, but also about the fate and consequences (foreshadowed when DW B died), how Ms. Oh knows about the parallel worlds, and although not clearly mentioned -- how to travel between the different worlds. I think addressing it but still leaving a bit of mystery is a nice touch. I like how none of the previous details are left as plot convenience as well (as an example, Jae Hyuk's limp at the beginning serves as a nice distraction from the real culprit for the audience, but towards the end it serves as a clever storytelling way to show the consequences DW A brought to world B)! Also, the scene of the hot DW C and his complete set of boys was a very nice fanservice XDD
The happy ending does seem to be a plot convenience though. I guess the conclusion is DW was never responsible for the death of SK (death of SK A is from Ms. Oh's interference) but is fated to save her instead. But still, that doesn't mean that his disappearance or existence in the different worlds do not have any consequences and could be brushed over. Does this mean they are living their whole lives as outsiders? or does SK's statement of 'I know it's a mess rn but let's start over anw' mean they are ready to face any consequences for the sake of their love? Either way it's not really satisfying.
I also have some problem with the pacing. I really love the fast pacing in the first two episodes, but for the rest of the episodes (except the excellent finale) I feel that the progression was too slow for a 12 episodes drama. It's vexing since the story could not be explored to its full potential due to this. Another problem is with the romance between the two leads. They do have nice chemistry and the building up towards their romance is quite nicely done, but DW has never once accepted the death of SK A and never once considered SK B as a different person. I'm glad they did address this matter in the last episode, but considering the foreshadowing in JM & DW B's case, it's still very much lacking. Also, I know it's just a story but I don't really like how the supporting characters' love story (in this case DW B and JM B) and the lives of DW A's friends in world A are thrown away for the sake of the main leads >.<
All in all, although not entirely perfect, it still is a very nice drama with extraordinary casts, good editing, and with the intriguing plot built over a well-developed set rule. I really hope it was a 16 episodes drama instead :P

Must-watch. Too many plot-holes. Beautiful Soo Jin.
The story kept me interested enough to binge-watch it in 3 days. But, too much plot armor; characters (especially FL) making illogical decisions too many times just for the convenience of the story to make MC being a hero saving the day all the time.
Also, the realization hitting the FL (from 2nd world) about ML was too plain and underwhelming (compare this point to "welcome to life" where it was done pretty good if not excellently).
The lack of chemistry between the 2 leads was quite apparent. Also, it could be just me, but, I found ML's acting to be over-the-top, I mean all he's doing the majority of the time is making an ugly-crying face while clenching his jaw, that's it, that is his whole intense acting, but still not too bad or out of place, but it was too much doing the same expression all the time.
Still, a must-watch. Although it is lacking the emotional connection you feel to the story/characters, such as rooting for ML or whenever any bad thing happens to ML or FL, then you feel sad - yeah, I was watching such moments in passing - like let the story flow however it is, doesn't matter or affect me (maybe it is too cringey, but still, I like those shows the best where if anything happens to ML or FL, I cheer/feel-sad with/for the character).
A spin-off with multiple (~4-5) worlds would be awesome.
Also, Soo Jin was beautiful as always.

“Train” pleasantly surprised me
PLOT: I don’t know what I expected from this drama…but I got a totally different thing! Like it was GOOD, truly good. Lots of blood, a fascinating mystery, and a great main hero. The acting was good, sometimes too intense in my opinion but not painfully so…It was still enjoyable. It’s similar to Welcome2Life, so if you liked it you will love this too! It’s a real thriller mystery, so if you don’t like those, skip this one!
THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN OUR MAIN COUPLE(S)?:
Okay, this one was weird! We didn’t get a “couple” at all, it was just “I like you/love you” type of situation, but they were never together. Was there chemistry between the actors? Yes, definitely!
HOW IT ENDS:
*Mild Spoilers*
I was disappointed, it was an open ending …and If you didn’t know I don’t like those. That’s why it’s not a 10-star drama.

Suspenseful Parallel Worlds
Likes1. Really intense, tightly written drama. Great acting from everyone, esp Yoon Si Yoon and Choi Seung Yoon
2. Very unpredictable story, that kept me guessing not only about the killer, but what will happen next and how it will end. Just when i thought i know who the killer is, the drama surprises us with one big twist after another. And another. Ive never been so happy being so wrong and looking forward to the next episode with my mouth hanging open from disbelief and amazement.
3. Due to the shorter episodes, there were several questions that were left unanswered, esp on how you can cross boundaries and the ending, but it didnt deter me from enjoying the story because this drama didnt focus on how you cross worlds. From the start it was all about the characters and how the consequences of their actions can change their world.
Dislikes:
1. When they revealed the killer, it was so twisted and sick i wanted to steal Seokyung's gun and just end the killer's misery. The conversation between the killer and Dowon was shocking. I had the same expression of "no it cant be you're kidding!" on Dowon's face.
2. The ending was left to our imagination, but felt like it was "too nice" of an ending from a very grim drama.
Rating: 9/10

AMAZING REPRESENTATION OF THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT!
This drama was really good!I love the idea of the possibility of another universe where you live a life that is different from your current one. It was really intriguing and even though some moments made me want to bash my head into a desk and some moments where I knew what was about to happen, I loved it a lot! The male lead deciding to live in a world that wasn't his with the woman who didn't have the same memories as he did was heart-touching!
The acting was amazing, and I loved the emotions shown by the actors. Though while watching it, it didn't come as a surprise when they revealed the culprits. As I progressed through the show more, it became more obvious to me.
I recommend this drama! It was amazing, I liked it a lot.

Interesting premise, and mostly good execution!
It was cool! I had DNF-ed psychopath diary but the ML's execution in this drama was great. I also like the FL and the side characters were all relevant which is something I look for in a good drama. The plot was also well-paced. I know some say it was rushed because it was only 12 episodes but I prefer it like that. Once one major plot point had been revealed, you were already moving on to the overall case so you do need to be careful not to lose track, or else you might get confused.
I think both the plot and characters were superb and it was all realistic (despite it being sci-fi) as intentions were made clear and there was a justification for actions.
I have seen some critiques on how there were plot holes and how the characters weren't realistic for police officers as they were emotionally motivated at certain points, but I think it allowed for a catalyst in order to keep the story moving. But it sometimes doesn't make sense when certain characters aren't reprimanded when they make silly mistakes as a police officer that could be life-threatening (which they do become at certain times) but I've seen this done in other crime dramas, so I'll look past it.
Overall, I did enjoy it and it was a quick watch as it was only 12 episodes. It may be confusing for people who aren't as familiar with sci-fi, but I've had plenty of experience with sci-fi so it was easier for me.

This is the first show I watch about parallel universe and I like it quite a lot with crime, mystery and thriller involved. I really like the story between Seo Do Won and Han Seo Kyung, even though their fate is twisted and their path to find each other is hard, they're still trying their best to be able to live with each other. I even like the killer's twisted background. How everything is connected also will make you have to really focus on the story and especially the last two episodes. Even though I don't quite like the ending, because it can be a new and intersting story, but I guess it will be too much.
Overall I really like it and I would suggest everyone who like crime, thriller, mystery, fantasy to watch it.

they wanted to show how trivial decisions could potentially lead us on drastically different paths,, but also on the flip side, they entertained the concept that there are elements of fate in life,, and that although we choose route A or B, they could converge to give similar outcomes (i guess that's a bit of a consolation for those of us who experience mad fomo)

A satisfying sci-fi thriller
Is this show worth watching? Yes. Is it worth re-watching? "You betta believe it" (Xmen Gambit voice implied). In my video review I give an in depth analysis of why this is a great show (link below). But here are some quick thoughts:
1. Yoon Shi Yoon's ability to convey different levels of emotions and portray 2 different characters (again).
2. The handling of the topic of grief and regret (Think Wanda-Vision)
3. An emotional gravity that you can't escape.
But what about the problems with the show? There are a few that I cover in my video review but overall they're minor in light of what works. As another reviewer stated, the show is underrated. Def check it out!
