Alchemy of Souls (2022)

Alchemy of Souls reminds me of the Chinese drama Ashes of Love.
The plot is not similar, but I enjoyed watching the progression of the love between the leads. This is something you could watch in between waiting for AoS new episodes since it has many episodes (63).

A love story between the half-human and half-vampire Seon Woo Hyul, who was unable to become human due to a one-day difference over 100 years, and Joo In Hae, a woman who has no humane side and finds true warmth.

Set in a fictional country called Daeho that does not exist in history or on maps, it is about the love and growth of young mages as they overcome their twisted fates due to a forbidden magic spell known as the "alchemy of souls", which allows souls to switch bodies. It follows the story of an elite assassin named Naksu, whose soul is accidentally trapped inside the weak body of Mu Deok—Jang Uk's servant from a powerful and noble mage family in the country. The young master of the Jang Family, Jang Uk, holds a dark secret about his scandalous birth. He wants the formidable assassin to help change his destiny.

In both Fake Princess and Alchemy of Souls, both the FLs work for High ranking families( in Fake Princess, for Crown Prince in Alchemy for Royal family Mages)
Similarities:-
1. Female leads are replacements to the original characters
2. Both come from a village backdrop/ country
3. Both possess fighting skills( In Fake Princess FL being a Mountain Bandit & in Alchemy FL being a Trained Assasin)
4. FLs are smarter than MLs
5.Both FLs have birth secrets
6.Both involve the FLs hiding their secret identity

Differences:-
1.Alchemy is more about magical, mystical elements (like WUXIA) while Fake Princess is a light hearted Rom-Com
2. AoS has a second ML( major SLS alert) unlike Fake Princess
3. In Fake princess, ML fights his brother for the throne unlike AoS

In both of the story the ml is weak at first and will become strongest among the mages/counters
Great teamwork and friendship+ you will get Yoo Jun-sang (park Jin) here too ?(kind of same father figure and one of the strong character, he's friend of ml's father too )
Both ml grew up without parents
Both storyline follow hunting evil soul or soul shifters and the soul shifters/evil souls feeds on human soul
TUC doesn't have much romance and more action based show and set up in modern times
Though it can't beat AOS in storyline, production and fantacy, TUC is still entertaining in its own way
Yoo In-Soo is in the 2ns season and a silly counter friend of ml
If you enjoyed AOS hope you will enjoy TUC too

"Alchemy of Souls" is a normal lenght drama with 2 seasons - on Netflix. (Korean drama)

The male leads didn't know martial arts, but later learned through old men imparting their powers into them ,thus allowing them to adapt quickly . They also have women to protect, those women go with them Everywhere.

THIS SERIES IS WHAT I AM WATCHING NOWADAYS
THE ML WAS LOCKED FOR A MILLENNIA because of the secret he holds
The fl started out as a very cheerful person but after many experiences she became ruthless nd very different from the way she was before
The fl freed the ml from the fate he was gonna suffer after getting unsealed without knowing anything she just wanted to save a person who hasn't done anything
Later on she wanted to achieve the peak of martial world nd when she was trying to obtain one of the strongest divine weapon in martial world due to some situations the weapon chose the ml instead nd she felt betrayed by it. Nd swore to take revenge but in the aftermath she disappeared nd everyone thought she died nd many years later she came back but this time she was attached to some young heiress girl of one of the immortal sects by some miracle nd that's the spoiler part so I won't tell it here she became a spirit that obtained some spiritual connection with that girl nd she obtained a way to come back into the martial world from the dead she had the same face as the girl she encountered only the girl from who she took the same face can see fls real face other people will see her as tht heiress girl so we had two versions of the same girl afterwards the fl nd the heiress girl joined the same sect she established when she was at its peak to kill the current leader who's the ml they had a lot of encounters but after this she started falling for the ml nd the events that happened while obtaining one of the strongest divine weapon she got to know what actually happened back then so they slowly faced a lot of things together nd got together but the ml that holded the secret of why he was sealed it started coming back slowly throughout the series nd they faced to fight against that curse together this is very similar to AOS in many ways as it also had something to do with souls nd such things that happened with fl here she also regained her original body later on nd such the budget is somewhere not that high but the char of fl nd ml is the thing to watch nd some side chars also are many people's fav it's worth watching if you avoid some plot holes. it's very similar in some ways with AOS

Alchemy of Souls is inspired by Chinese Wuxia dramas, and Love and Destiny is one of the finest ones. Ling Xi becoming Lin Mo will recall how Alchemy of Souls FL's soul transfers body and loses her memories. The superb acting and cinematography of Love and Destiny will not disappoint and surely will be enjoyed by anyone who enjoyed Alchemy of Souls.

CGI/VFX in both dramas is really good:))

Because of the concept of powers is similar to that in alchemy of souls. But story line is some what different than that.
