After 7 years together...

Let's be honest, the review I see on here is just not it...

So here we see what couples struggle with after being together so long. They were always in a toxic type of love, but this showed how misunderstandings, lack of communication and trust, and insecurities can get in the way of relationships. I don't know what anyone else expected, but based on the Prequel, I loved this more. It was raw and showed how messy relationships can be, and how others' opinions can dissuade you from being selfish about your happiness. I would have loved it more if the character development was there, but there was none, and that's okay too. We shouldn't change something that's working well for no reason.

How to understand each other in their relationship.

The story was super and acting of main couple was awesome. I loved this series, it tell that how to understand each other in fresh or long relationship, when the misunderstanding occurs and don't forget the time they spent each other.
Actually I loved the scene between type and his boss who criticize his boyfriend tharn and type give him big punch for criticizing tharn.
Their possessiveness also picks. When tharn get a message from girl, type went to get down the girl feelings on tharn. He tells her "HE IS MY MAN" wow it was awesome.
Overall it was a great series and also techno acting super.

still beefing 7 years later

My episode average was an 8.1, so I rounded down because this was mid, so very mid. Nothing really happened. This was light work and easy watching, so I will give them that, but nothing actually happened. They were still doing the same stuff they were doing at the start of their relationship. Nothing special. Okay, I am going to just talk about the couples because I didn't really post anything about this on my close friend's story, because the show sucked lol.

Starting off with Tharn and Type because the show is named after them and they are the first actors that come up on the cast and credits, Nothing special. They are still getting into the same nasty fights they got into when they first got together. No one has any character development whatsoever. They had a few banging sex scenes, so they still have their chemistry, or whatever it is. Tharn was a lot more clingy in this. Like he would pout and sulk when he didn't get his way. I noticed that; that was his character development, I guess. Type was really getting into his wife's era. Tharn was just talking about how he could quit his job and he would take care of him. and Type was like say less bro. He cooks, cleans, does laundry, irons the clothes, basically does everything for Tharn. That was his character development. He sucks at showing his emotions, so he shows his love with chores and stuff like that. So I guess that's sort of cute. And I thought I was done with this stupid show, but nope, I have to watch them get married in a separate episode. My lord, okay, next couple.

Leo and Fiat Their presence in this makes me miss dont say no. It was my first BL drama in my most recent era of boys love dramas. It really got me back into it, and seeing them in this made me miss it so much. Fuck, I forgot how much of a homewrecking little whore Fiat used to be. He got on my fucking nerves with this. Poor Leo, bro. He's always loved him; I remember that, and that really stuck with me. He just watched his crush be with every single man in the world before he even looked at him. I don't remember (probably because I watched Don't Say No on Billi Billi back when it was still available in America, lol) Leo being this aggressive and dominating. I just love it so much. He was very handsy, and most of the time he stepped back from Fiat's love life, but his getting pissed off and yelling at Fiat was, my god, very sexy. I miss them for real for real. They are so fucking cute, and I love them so much. Besides Fiat's little homewrecker era, that was gross.

Next up are Champ and Dr. Khunpol, or Doc or Khunpol in the streets. They were cute, and I liked them. This show was collecting tropes like they were Pokemon with these couples. Doc had liked Champ since freshman year but had to keep his feelings to himself because he didn't want to end their friendship, which was cute. Doc is actually such a cutie; my god, he was adorable. I'm kind of mad at their ending, but whatever. They could have had so much more potential, but that was never reached, sadly. They were still really cute, and Champ's willingness to understand love just for Doc was really cute. Loved them.

And our last actually relevant couple is Phugun and Cirrus, or Cir, in the streets and the sheets. They were my favorite couple, and I still don't know why. I just loved their dynamic so much and fell in love with them instantly. Phugun was the cousin that they never talked about in tharn type or probably did, and I just was not listening at all because I am really bad at that. Phugun was the cousin of the Th family (th because all of the kids names start with th, lol). He was so adorable, my god. so innocent and just wants to love everyone. Their sex scene was good, bro. The way Phugun was talking to Cir was crazy, bro. That scene kind of told me that appearance is a front to get what he wants, and I really respect that. Cir was your average jealous boyfriend, who just kind of stood back and loved his boyfriend in the midst of the chaos that was unfolding next door. They were cute. My favorite couple If I was going to watch back, it would be their sex scene, lol. That was good. The sexuality of the whole thing was just amazing and lovely. I am actually going to go find it right now lol.

Yeah, that's about it. This is skippable because nothing actually happened. It didn't ruin the ship per se; it was just not necessary at all because nothing happened. The creators just tried to milk a really popular ship, and it didn't work. Now I have to watch another episode just to see these bozos get married. After that, I am done with Tharntype for good. I don't know what the goofy ass parent story is, but fuck that. This was a light watch, and it's still the same Tharn and type. Okay bye!

i dropped the original tharntype series, decided to give tharntype 2 7 yrs of love a chance to change my mind on tharntype, sadly, it only made my feelings about tharntype stronger. i guess i shouldnt be surprised, taking into account this is mames series im talking about. but if you dropped tharntype and are thinking about giving this one a chance, just know, there was 0 character development (imo). acting was good, love mewgulf and all the other actors in the series. but the story and scripting was NOT it

Type and his 7 years of drama

If the first season was more about Tharn, this one focused on Type. I was very proud of him, because he learned to temper his anger. He dealt with situations where I might have said "Go to hell!".
His evolution as a character was noticeable, although I can't deny that his little fits of jealousy became funny.
I considered Tharn more of a supporting character. He was also there to watch the action. But the sweet scenes between them were nice. I enjoyed them.
Fiat. This little kid got on my nerves. I detested him for what he wanted to do (I don't have a very good opinion of people who try to break up a relationship), but I was also on his side. I suspected the reason behind the action. I don't excuse his behavior, but I empathized with him and he made me cry. Every fight with Leo hurt.

It's more of what we already saw in season 1, just spicier and dumber.

Given that I've rewatched the whole thing three times, I don't think I can give it a bad score.

I'll keep this brief:

I don't think it's as bad as some people say it is, so if you're only watching the scenes of Tharn and Type, it's okay. But the technical aspects of this show are honestly horrendous - the lighting is super overblown, the audio still messy as hell, the entire production has a strange "sunset"-y orange glow to it, both Mew and Gulf are dressed and styled in a way that makes them look like they're in their 30s. The plot is paper-thin and Mew/Tharn seems almost like a secondary character in his own show.

There is a lot of frustration about this season and I wished the would've waited a little longer to film this instead of pushing it out in a rush.

There were some scenes I hugely enjoyed (Type decking his boss) but in general I wished they would've focused more on Tharn and Type and their relationship which often seemed like it was still in its beginning stages instead of seven years in.
All the other sides couples took so much time away from them and that was honestly such a shame and waste is time.

So in short :

Is this better than season 1: no. Definitely not.

Is there any plot beyond relationship stuff: they try, but no, not really.

Do Tharn & Type learn to communicate better: a little bit but not nearly as much as they need to.

Are their arguments relatable: yeah, somewhat.

Does this season include Type doing something completely out-of-bounds batsh*t insane that would've gotten him into jail IRL? YES (srsly wtf)

Are Tharn & Type ridiculously adorable and sexy in this: 100% YES, even more so than season 1.

Are there still dumb misunderstandings: yeah, a ton.

Did Techno sadly become an annoying dumbass: yes.

Are the side couples interesting: no.

Do they take too much time away from TT: absolutely.

Is Type still a ferocious powerbottom bitch? Yes and we love to see it.

Is Type's relationship with his Dad weird? Given that it's been seven years and his Dad is still an ass to the man he loves? Yes.

Gulf and Mew's acting as gotten a little better, Gulf still does the eyebrow acting every now and then but it's reserved for sassy scenes where it makes sense.

Listen, I can't sit here and tell you this season (or show lbr) is good. It's not. There is no plot, I still have massive problems with the inappropriate music (although the audio engineering is way better than in season 1) and at way too many points I just wanted to slap them both and lock them in a room together for a week so that they can just FINALLY talk it all out.
But I'm still absolutely obsessed with this show and still rewatch it all the time.
So clearly, they did something right.

It’s a show!

Don’t watch this…. This is SO much better than the first season. Last season there was a severe lack in communication and it was pretty toxic so it became annoying to continue watching. This still was kind of annoying to watch because it doesn’t feel like seven years of love.. However, this season there was some improvement to communication. It was much less toxic (still was in a lot of scenes but they worked it out in a healthier way this time…sometimes) and actually really cute to watch (sometimes… heavy on the sometimes ).

I hated the first season, but actually liked second season

After watching TharnType season one, which I didn’t like at all, I was very hesitant to watch season two. So many negative reviews from other watchers didn’t help my decision either. But finally I decided to still give it a try and honestly I was very positively surprised! I genuinely liked it! Sure, it wasn’t perfect, but it was so much better than season one. Well, season one was so bad, that it is hard to do even worse. My expectations were also already quite low. After reading many reviews I tend to think that season two will be more likable to the older audience.

To me the season two storyline seems to be a little bit like a parallel to season one storyline. In the previous season we have Type and Tharn starting their relationship and fighting about it becoming official. In this season instead we get the marriage plot. Then in season one we get jealousy through Tharn’s exes and in this season we get the short plot with Nana. In the first season we get Lhong and in this season we get Fiat. In season one we got the picture incident with LGBTQ+ people and in this season we get the Type’s workplace storyline. So, you can see a lot of parallels with season one, but the setting around is changed. Also, the character's reactions towards these things are different.

Now, moving on to the characters, I was very happy to see that Type’s character had changed quite a lot during these seven years. First, we can already see in season one special Our Final Love, how he is working on his internalized homophobia and in this season we never see him having problems with any LGBTQ+ characters. Secondly, in season one a lot of people were saying how Type is selfish, arrogant and self-centered and in this season we can see him working in a hospital helping his patience. Thirdly, even though he can still be blunt and rash with his friends and Tharn, we can see that he endures quite a lot at the workplace. Fourthly, we can see him being not afraid to apologize or take responsibility for his actions. And fifthly, in this season I could actually see him wanting to communicate with Tharn in many cases - when they first had a fight about the marriage and about the kiss/cheating storyline. I could also see that he knows he has to calm down before talking to tharn. So, in my opinion Type has matured quite a lot compared to season one Type.

Tharn on the other hand seemed to me quite the same as in season one. He still thought that everything can be smoothed over with sex or some romance. We can’t see him communicate or even try to communicate with Type at all. He is sulking like a child during most of the season. He barely apologizes for anything he does. Also, his partner says that he doesn’t want to get married and yet he decides to start ring shopping? Still not respecting Type’s boundaries, I see? And what the hell was this plot with Techno about wanting to make Type jealous of Nana? This was so childish! And then the phone call with Type in the later episode, where he basically hung up on Type after the latter told him how much he misses him. Why be so cruel?

I know some people are saying that this show doesn’t show love and just shows miscommunication and bad relationships, well… in that case I guess the majority of people’s relationships are bad. In my opinion this show really shows an adult relationship, where such things as work, society and other people may cause troubles to your love life. I really liked Type’s workplace drama, because it is just so real! All people who work and live with other people know how much good or a bad workday can actually affect your relationship. How you can explode on people just because of work stress! And we actually saw him apologizing for it later. And that’s life! I am not a big fan of jealousy and possessiveness plots, but this too happens in real life. Especially when people don’t communicate and jump into conclusions without talking to one another. The difference between adult and teenage love is patience and will to do better. In season one we can see that in almost every fight the solution is break-up. But in this season we can see that they don’t want to break-up, but rather think things through and then talk with each other. So, I don’t think that this series showed unhealthy relationships, but rather realistic adult relationships.

As for other characters, I still liked Techno, but would have loved to get to know his boyfriend, too. Champ and Doc’s relationship was very cute and different from usual BL couples. I really enjoyed their story! I didn’t understand the need for Phu and Cir on this series, though. What was their point? We didn’t learn anything from their relationship and they just appeared out of thin air. They could’ve been easily left out from the show. Then also, why did they decide to bring back Khlui and Seo? They didn’t give anything to the plot either. And honestly Khlui’s snooping behavior was quite disturbing. Fiat and Leo were great additions to the story, but I felt that their story could’ve been done better. There was something missing for me. Also, my biggest no-no for this whole show was this whole kidnaping scene. That was so not okay!

Compared to season one, I would definitely recommend season two. It has its problems, but it actually shows a real adult relationship and what it means to be in a relationship with someone for such a long time. I genuinely liked it, even though I didn’t like season one at all. I would advise you to watch this show for yourself and then make up your own mind about it, because reviews are not very generous with this show.

Don't waste your time

Finally watched this and boy am I pissed AF. Let me start with Fiat and Leo. Fiat just got on my nerves through this entire series and Leo omw he was just to stupid running after Fiat. Type I actually taught in this he would change. Boy was I wrong. He constantly picked and looked for a fight with tharn then when he realized he f up everything was am sorry and then we have tharn for the sake of love, kept on accepting hid apologies. We had a disgusting boss who needed a cutass from the starting. This series didn't need a part 2. Couldn't even finished it. Had to go rewatch don't say No because of this rubbish
