Believable Storyline!
You Are My Glory is worth your time and every penny. I had to watch it on Fast Track on WeTV.The story revolves around the life of Yu Tu, an intellectual with his own flaws, and Jingjing a successful actress that used to like Yu Tu when they were in high school. The drama spans from the time the two leads met again and some flashbacks in high school when the two became friends and had a falling out.
The characters in themselves were interesting. Yang Yang's character and portrayal of Yu Tu and his own insecurities despite his intellect and accomplishments. Dilraba as Jing Jing appeared flaky and shallow in the beginning. Viewers will see how their character grows throughout the drama-- Yu Tu's deep regret and Jing Jing's courage, admiration, and dedication to her own craft. There are a lot of aerospace-related (Yu Tu's workplace) and his workmates and Jing Jing working in her set. I enjoyed the gaming scenes at Jing Jing's home and during the competition itself. There are few side couples in this drama-- thank heavens. While the drama revolves around the two, the side romances are relevant and nicely connected with their story.

Meaningful, sweet n perfect CP feels
If you love the novel, you will love the drama. Everything follow closely, from flow of events to their dialogue. It's one of my fav from Gu Man.If you havnt read the novel, theres even more reason to watch. Because the plot wont fail you and because the cast are icing on the cake. In a nutshell. ML is someone calm, logical, and everything in his life is well thought out. In highschool he shot down FL's confession because he reason out they are unsuitable.
FL is someone with high EQ and a witty personality. When they meet online on a gaming platform and she uses her devious wit to meet ML in RL, thats when it opened the opportunity for ML to get to know her.
The story imo is beautiful and deep and even deprecatingly realistic.
1. Definition of success in life. Masses will say land a high paying job and make money. But is it for everyone?
2. Best student in school does not necessary make the most money. Depends on what you choose to pursue;
3. How many are willing to pursue their dream or achieve sth of national pride as the journey can be arduous and the reward isnt monetary;
4. A sensible reasoning is good in school and work but not with matters of the heart. This is the hard lesson ML learns. He missed out on the opportunity with FL with his logic and pride. He failed to factor other more important things. He would come to realise their lifeviews are similar and their contradictory personality is actually complementary.
Qiu Jing Jing is truly one of the lovelist FL. Her personality rivals her beauty. She admired YuTu not just his good looks, his intelligence, demenor and most of all his admirable dream. She herself is confident and works hard to try to connect to him, to be the best version of herself. Her hard work and sincerity did not reach him until 10years later. But shes not the wilting flower just because ML rejects her. Thats why i like her so much. Sad or not, she moves on and make do. With ML, she can be coquettish, cute and mischievious. She can be direct and frank too. I love her guts.
Sigh the story and the well written character is just really up my alley. Only sorry when live watching you keep wanting more episodes. I had to go back and binged the novel. Really easy to immerse into rabbit and cotton's love story..

Playing Games with someone you are comfortable with
1st Week Review + Final.Quick Overall Summary
If you liked Love O2O, you will like this drama. The drama is great for a relaxing night binge where the story and characters are fluffy and wholesome to watch. There is no dramatic or overly annoying characters or plot, but more focused on the enjoyment of playing games, spending time with someone you are comfortable with and juggling between work/life balance. Indeed, the drama heavily focuses on playing games and game terminology, but there are other elements that are talked about like the ML's dreams and life choices. One last crucial point is that the drama being a CDrama, flows and generally makes sense (there are no cliche overtop encounter/scenes that challenges the audiences' intellect, very rare these days).
Final: 1st half of the drama is about gaming and getting to know each other again. 2nd half of the drama is more about the relationship between the ML and FL and completion of the deep space rocket project.
Quick Story/Plot (9 > 8.5)
The FL is a famous actress and is the brand face for a popular mobile game (Chinese Mobile LoL). One night, she was recorded by an anonymous friend/spectator on how bad she was at the game. This was leaked and blew up quickly where part of the online community criticised her being the brand face of the game and being terrible at the game. The Manager and Game Company played it off well and very sensibly (I applaud) where she released a statement saying was only trying out the new character and to show that she does not suck at the game, there will be a charity match in 1 month's time to celebrate the end of the gaming season. In comes the ML, While the FL is on a 1 month break and practicing to be better at the game, she was mistakenly invited by the ML to his lobby who is an old high school classmate of hers. After joining the match and playing a few rounds, the FL realised how good the ML was at the game. At this point, the FL knows who the ML is, but the ML does not know the FL since she was using an alternate side account. Wanting to meet the ML again and also looking to improve at the game, the FL tries her luck and asks the ML to be her instructor and teach her more about the game.
Final: The story is definitely on the slower side with the 2nd half of the drama dragged on just a little too long. With 30 mins each episode, you can feel the production team taking their time with each scene and camera pan.
Quick Acting/Cast/Characters
- ML: Yang Yang has always played roles of the handsome boyfriend who doesnt say much, but is always caring and casually will be by your side. Yu Tu is an Aerospace Designer/Engineer and is very smart, graduating with double degree in Aerospace/Finance. However, he is at crossroads in his life, choosing either a higher paying finance job or continue with his dream job in Aerospace + starting to get to know the FL all over again. There is alot he is going through at the moment.
-FL: Qiao Jing Jing is a famous actress who is in high demand. She is caring and gives the ML a lot of personal space and breathing room. She does not overstep her bounds and knows that currently she is a friend only. E.g. like when the ML needs to leave or go out, she understands and farewells him. She does not guilt trip him to force him to stay or make him uncomfortable for leaving her.
- Special shoutout to Jing Jing's Manager who is very understanding and also encourages the FL to go on dates :)
Music/OSTs
- Music is great where it comes in exactly at the right point in time during the scene to elevate the entire mood/emotions. The Start/Ending OSTs and playlists are great too.
Rewatch Value
Would rewatch some notable and beautiful scenes.
Why my current rating (10)
Although the story is very slow paced, I watch it for the interaction between the characters. How they support and bicker between each other while understanding the boundaries set between them. No one oversteps the line just because they are the ML or FL. Furthermore, I liked Love O2O and games, so this is right up my alley. There are many horribly made Gaming Genre Dramas done poorly, but this is one of the exceptions. This also includes light-hearted stories, where the ML and FL are getting to know each other again and flirting with their honest heart. You know it, this drama has those one-liner swooners...
Final: I retain my final rating of 10 as the drama overall was enjoyable to watch. Although later half of the drama did drag out to my disliking, I overlooked it due to the fluffy and very pretty scenes/set. The drama is not entirely about gaming where the story transitions to successfully launching the deep space rocket. The drama's final score is more like a lower 10 - 9.7 rating.

This has to be one of my favorite Cdrama I've watch in a while.
The main character is an actress (Dilraba Dilmurat as Qiao Jing Jing) who has to quickly learn how to play a mobile game that she's initialing for the competition, and the tutor she finds is her high school crush who rejected her. Unlike the typical Cdrama, the main character has a very steady and mature outlook about the various petty schemes & dramas, taking things competently in pace. The strongest point of this drama is definitely the male lead (Yang Yang as Yu Tu), however. In a genre filled with overbearing love interests who are always more powerful, richer, and smarter than the female protagonist, and who spend the entire drama hovering over her shoulders fixing all her problems, we finally get someone who actually feels like a real person. Instead of having his life revolve around the main character, the male lead mostly leads an independent life struggling to balance his desire to earn more money to support his parents vs pursuing his dreams an underpaid researcher.
The themes of family and money and reputation here were extremely comforting. You also see how he slowly grows from his days as an arrogant high school student who looked down on the main character because she wasn't as smart as him, to the current timeline where he draws strength and inspiration from her support and faith in his dreams.
Beyond the romance, the supporting characters are all very fun and quirky in their own ways, and the gaming moments (and gaming fails) were hilarious as well.
I highly recommend this drama to someone looking for a more mature, down-to-earth romance with a good dose of humor and emotional growth.

THE MOST ROMANTIC CDRAMA THAT I'VE EVER WATCHED.
My expectation with this drama is high. I know both leads can do justice to the character, but it needs good script and direction as well. AND THEY DID IT! YAMG exceed my expectation that's already high to begin with.It does have everything I can’t stop watching it. Love the 2 leads and the writing is amazing, the cinematography is beautiful and the director knows how to make each scene look real with real emotions shown. I’m going to be gushing about this drama for a long time.
Still crying every time I watch yutu's second proposal Loudly crying face yutu's sincerity please also the way he really regrets that because of his prejudices they've missed 13 years of being together.
Thank you, #YouAreMyGlory for giving us a love story of two responsible adults who are passionate towards their career, who knows their responsibilities well, communicates well and most importantly understands each others’ dreams.

The best modern drama of 2021
This drama story is perfect for me. I dont like high school romcom drama, thats are based on unrealistic stuff & teenage fantasy. This drama is more realistic, they focus on ml & fls real life career, how they face many problems in their career, face them strongly. I like the fl's role more. Cz she is independent woman. Despite being a famous celebrity & a most loved female celebrity, she is very humble & always respect & being friendly with her manager & assistant’s. She give Courage to yutu to fulfill his dream & dont give up on it easily. I like how yutu support her to improve game and also take care her. They are independent & never force eo to change for eo. So they can become a best life partner in future. The drama is still ongoing so will update more when the drama will finished.(After finish watching all the ep, all i can say is,)
I’m still emotional, and all of extreme feelings pilled up right now … what can I say besides; THANK YOU FOR THE BEST LIFETIME DRAMA SERIES #YouAreMyGlory
This drama will be something that will engraved in my life for a lifetime
Thank you!!!!!

YAMG: The Glory of Chinese Romance Drama
I've never been so invested in a drama that I didn't hesitate to pay for early access on its episodes. This drama feels so raw.
How do I explain how exceptional this drama is? There is not much conflict but everything is well executed that there is no boring scene.
This is one of the best representation of slice of life x romance genre in the history of modern Chinese drama. Celebrity x normal character is a common pairing; but YAMG executed it with no exaggerations. It's just enough to show how things are going on with their daily life. Perfectly blended.
What else about the story that makes it so special? There is no secondary couple that would make you feel like they're actually better than the lead characters. The romance of the main leads is just enough to make you binge watch and crave more.
Yang Yang & Dilireba's chemistry is off the charts - they are made for this drama. It's like they came out from the novel. They look so good together! TT TT
The production team aced of this drama too, sometimes I feel like I'm watching a movie. It's just sooo high tier.
The OST is also perfect! Whenever the intro OST is being played as BGM on Yu Tu & Jingjing's scenes, my heart melts.
Yu Tu's brightest star; and Yu Tu is Jingjing's universe. They found the glory within each other.
You Are My Glory is THE modern chi drama of 2021.

Charming and a bit more mature and nuanced than the average fluff drama, but still a fluff drama
This drama is pretty much a more mature Love O2O (and I'm not saying that as an insult; I actually enjoyed Love O2O), which I guess is essentially what I was expecting of it. There are a number of obvious similarities between the two beyond Yang Yang and the gaming premise, including many of the traits of the lead characters. However, it lacks the annoying side couple (actually one of the best things about this drama is that there are no filler side couples), and has better acting as well as higher production values. You Are My Glory tones down the tropes a bit and has more angst (but is still pretty low on drama). People who enjoyed Love O2O will likely enjoy this as well, and those who did not enjoy Love O2O may find some of their complaints rectified in You Are My Glory.I must like Gu Man’s sense of humor, as I generally don’t find Chinese romcoms funny, but the humor in this one (as well as Love O2O) worked well for me. I also found both leads very charming and likable, which is really at least half of what makes a romcom work. Moreover, out of the 10-or-so Chinese romcoms I have completed or seen a significant portion of before dropping, this definitely has the most well-written romance. We get to watch them slowly fall for each other, support each other, and naturally grow from knowing one another. The roadblocks in their relationship are quite normal and don’t seem like manufactured contrivances. Is this the most grounded portrayal of a relationship I’ve seen in a drama? Certainly not, it’s still an idealized idol drama about too-perfect people with plenty of fluff, but it does have proper development, doesn't go in circles, and isn't heavily reliant on silly tropes like accidental kisses and all that jazz. The male lead’s personal conflict is also realistic, well-explored, and quite relatable, I think.
One aspect of this drama I felt was a bit atypical is that parts of it (arguably the most pivotable parts) seem to be told much more from the male perspective than the female one. Romance dramas (especially romcoms) are generally told from both perspectives equally or more from that of the female lead. There are actually certain episodes near the middle of this drama in which the female lead hardly appears. I think such a storytelling choice made sense for this particular story, as the male lead is the much more conflicted character and I’m not sure following the female lead in those moments would have revealed much to us. However, because she was given relatively less focus, until the last third of the drama, I felt like I didn’t know the female lead nearly as well as the male lead. By the end I no longer really felt that way, but overall I’d definitely say there was less emphasis on her characterization and development than his. Especially given the last couple episodes, it seemed like he was the protagonist and this was really his story.
This is also the most well-acted Chinese romcom I’ve seen to date (probably on par with an average Korean romcom). I generally give Yang Yang more credit for his face than his acting, but he’s really quite decent, even good here. Dilraba was definitely better than I expected. I really enjoyed the sweet personality she brought to her character, and I actually thought she did well in the dramatic scenes, something I was rather skeptical of her ability to do, given what I had seen from her past work. In the category of Chinese-idol-dramas-with-actors-under-30, the performances were well above average.
Now for some nitpicks …
My biggest complaint regarding this drama is that it had some issues with tonal consistency. This is not a major problem, since I think the tone always matched the content of the specific scene, but because there wasn’t a more focused tone throughout, there were times when it felt like I had suddenly started watching a different drama. Parts of this drama are your typical fluffy, cheesy idol drama. Then there are a few parts that are rather overdramatic. Like does running tests on a rover really merit such suspenseful music? And then there are parts that seem to be going for a moody, understated drama vibe with the slow-pacing, shadowy cinematography, and mellow, indie-style vocals against simple guitar instrumentation. I think you can accurately understand what this drama is like without watching it by imagining a combination of Love O2O (corny romance dialogue, humor, tropes and character types, gaming), Descendants of the Sun (corny romance dialogue, dramatic aerospace scenes, slow-mo of Yang Yang getting out of a Jeep in the middle of a desert), and One Spring Night (introspection, struggles with self-image and societal expectations, slow-burn romance). I enjoyed all three of those dramas, but I’m not sure the combination entirely works. The former two have overlapping aspects, thus combine quite seamlessly, but I think You Are My Glory’s attempt at the One Spring Night-type tone felt a little try-hard at points. Even though the emotional content of the male lead’s struggles are well-executed, the more “sophisticated” style of the scenes feels a bit out of place when poised against a cringe-y cute idol drama scene. It makes it feel like it’s trying to be something it’s not, because most of the drama isn’t that sophisticated. It’s especially obvious, because this more melancholic, understated style pretty much completely disappears about 2/3rds of the way through the drama, which means the earlier episodes feel quite different overall to the later ones. To state it very simply, the male lead feels like he belongs in a serious, realistic drama, the female lead feels like she belongs in an idol romcom (albeit a relatively grounded one), and their romance meets somewhere in the middle, though it definitely leans pretty hard towards the romcom tone in the last 1/3. To be clear, I’m not really saying anything about the story itself necessarily should have been changed, just that these aspects could have blended together more seamlessly had the style of their execution been a bit more consistent.
The music is really pretty forgettable.
If you’re looking for a gaming drama, look somewhere else. Gaming is just a way to bring the leads together, not the focus of the drama, and the gaming element completely disappears in the later half. That being said, a significant amount of time is spent on the gaming scenes, such that even though I didn’t watch this drama for the gaming, I did find myself wishing they were more exciting. Despite all the time spent practicing, discussing strategy, etc., it’s quite difficult to actually follow what’s going on while the characters are playing, especially since the matches are often shown as fragmented montages. Even when they do show more extensive gameplay, you can’t really understand the strategy since the game has too many heroes and the viewer is only vaguely acquainted with a few. Honestly, it can be hard to even see what’s happening, due to the fact that the game visuals are generally portrayed as they would appear to an actual player, which is realistic, but not very legible. I think the aerospace engineering scenes were actually more comprehensible than the gameplay. Because this drama never intended to be about gaming, exciting gaming scenes weren’t necessarily a requirement, but in that case, I wish they had spent less time making me watch such scenes.
My final nitpick is that it’s rather slow-paced (especially in the first half). This didn’t bother me much, because I like slow-paced romances (if the gaming sequences had been fewer or more exciting, I might not have noticed this at all). There are points when it feels more like a slice-of-life drama than a romcom, which might not be everyone’s cup of tea. However, because it doesn’t have any filler side plots, I don’t think it’s actually more tedious than the average C-drama. Personally, I found it less so.
All in all, I enjoyed this drama a lot. Though I don’t think it’s perfect, it certainly exceeds what I’ve come to expect of Chinese romcoms. I’ll almost certainly rewatch it at some point when I need a no-stress fluff drama.

reward game
reward game
Although they are very famous, I didn’t start watching the drama because of the actors.
The story was much more appealing. I was not disappointed . The story from the first word to the last word is amazing. I like the way the plot recovers, very dynamic. The writer builds a real human relationship. (The writer doesn’t drunk FL to make things easier for ML. That’s why special thanks to the writer.)
It shows both the positive and negative sides of a successful life. Love won’t suddenly make everything pink, just much more livable and less lonely.
Two people who support each other but don’t limit the other.
The two leading actors are impeccably tucked into the role, Yang Yang is handsome, arrogant, narcissistic then playful, romantic, narcissistic and maximalist. With unforgettable emotional upheavals.
Dilraba Dilmurat is beautiful, kind, persistent, supportive, devoted, playful and irresistible.
Because of their customized role, I feel the piece is a reward game.
The musical background is in line with the drama. My favorite "Time monologue"
I'm sure I'll watch it several times.

Worth to watch and romantic storyline
Definitely a relaxing and yet satisfying drama especially both the main lead chemistry is super great and wonderful.Love how the romance progress, definitely worth watching esp from episode 20-32 , every episode is full of sweetness.
Yang yang and dilreba act so natural and match the character so well, on top of that there's humor between them, very realistic storyline but the ending could be better and wish both of the main lead could have another chance to act in the next drama.

C-Drama's Glory
This is the BEST Modern Drama of 2021 (up to date)... this is ur break from watching OLD-School drama like rich man falls in love with Poor girl... a scene from accidental kiss, a piggy back ride or catching up colds... YAMG talks about reality of what to choose between Dreams & Reality of Life... how a Woman can as well be financially stable than the Male... Talks about First Love and how the FL supports the ML... its a beautiful LOVE STORY...ACTORS... no doubt that YAMG is for Yang Yang & Dilreba... no other actors can deliver the Character well if not them...
DIRECTORS: He makes even the small scene nice to watch... Sad Scene even sadder.... & Thank U for giving us a beautiful view of China... the Cinematography U gave us makes me wants to visit China.... U let us feel the love of Yu Tu & JingJing
Gu Man: Thank U for giving us a Beautiful Love Story..

The story is still warming my heart completely.
Yu Tu and Qiao Jing Jing forever the cutest couple in Gu Man’s world. What makes it diferrence with another Cdramas is because the director and screenwriter simply presented us the strong independent woman, who can look after herself mentally and financially, not afraid to honestly open up her feeling first, not afraid of rejection.
And about the male interest? He’s not a rich brooding guy like other male characters we used to see on other cdramas. No, he’s just another salaryman who happens to have a high intelligence. Yum! Who can say no to an interesting clever man? I would pick him over the stupid rich guy everyday.
Together, Qiao Jing Jing and Yu Tu are building a great harmony and healthy relationship. They’re perfect to each other. I am all for their mature friendship-to-romance life. I hope I can find another similar healthy relationship cdrama like this again.
