Extremely disappointing series
It started OK, but soon turned out to be a pile of nonsense. I wish I had waited, giving people the opportunity to write reviews reflecting the vacuity of the production.I gave it the benefit of the doubt in spite of the poster that looked like the one of the "Squid Game" (another pile of nonsense). There are too many impossible elements (e.g., guess who is among the hostages? guess the fooling strategy to get out by digging a tunnel [how many YEARS would that take? and with which equipment?] several characters changing during the episodes! useless stuff on which the hostages try to capitalize ...).
The acting is nothing special, and the subplots outside of the heist place don't add anything to the episodes.
I am actually too polite to state outright what I think.

The Cast is the Best Thing About This Show
I preface this by saying I have not seen the original series and have no plans to do so.Disappointing!
I really liked the 1st and 2nd epsiodes of the show and I actually thought the show was going somewhere but by the 3rd episode the show became competely ridiculous.
This show is honestly, terrible.
It's supposed to be a crime caper but it's poorly written and makes no sense logically. I can usually suspend belief but this show is doing too much. So many plot holes and cliches. Even with the excellent cast I just can't deal with the stupidity of many of the characters and nonsensical actions by the entire thieves organization, including but not limited to not counting hostages, not having some one watching the live feed, letting hostages roam around freely, not fully searching areas, and letting certain hostages live...shall I go on??? WTF was I watching?
Again I throughly enjoyed most of the cast, but especially, Jeon Jong Seo as Tokyo and Park Hae Soo as Berlin.
I don't think I will be watching part 2.

Plenty of Action, Gunfights, and Psychological Warfare
I watched the original Spanish version of this on Netflix and my opinion is they did a pretty good job on the remake of this. It can be pretty difficult to do a remake of a successful series but they pulled it off pretty well. Acting was well done and liked all the characters even the not so bright ones.I already liked the storyline as it was so I would give it high marks as a heist thriller with psychological gamesmanship being a big part of the story. It's a cat and mouse game where you don't know at each point who will come out victorious before the next round starts. It keeps one guessing as there are twists and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Is the plot and storyline a bit excessive and unbelievable? Yes and it has that robin hood like vibe to it too. I didn't care for the love stories between some of the characters, writers probably wanted to add a little bit of heart to a somewhat gritty drama. While Berlin is one of the favorite characters in both versions and both actors play the role beautifully; I was kind of meh on Berlin's character arc in the later part of the show.
The pacing was good, at six episodes they didn't draw it out and kept it compact without wasting time on filler nonsense. Overall a good edge of your seat heist thriller. Ready for S2!!!

Why was this made .
This show just feels like a clip show of the original that is basically perfect so falls flat and the characters just feel like hollow imitations of the originals especially Nairobi which is really sad cause she's my favorite character also they made Denver somehow dumber and Rio more annoying I also thought they could do more with the world that it's set in and say what you will about original Tokio at least she had a personality and and a character wit consistent motivation unlike this walking piece of wood. The Professor seems dumb so does Woojin and pretty much everyone in this show. Was this review helpful to you?
LITERALLY INSANE
DUDE. This K-drama is my second favourite of all time (of many). It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. The production quality is insane, the acting is great, the main girls are so pretty but most of all the plot is thicker than overcooked oatmeal. There are twists and turns and it's just written so well oh my goodness. People are leaving low scores saying it's the same as the original, I don't care at all, I've not seen the original and that does not take away from the fact that this drama is incredible. Both part 1 and 2 are spectacularWas this review helpful to you?
It's tough to even live a simple life that we've all dreamed about
Great plot arrangements and good use of every character in this clash of political ideology not particularly suited only for korea but a phenomenon happening globally. The underlying problem of this society is straightforward, it's tough to even live a simple life that we've all dreamed about under such discriminatory economic distribution. A team of distressed people trying to form a new ideology by reaching extreme means because nothing really matters anyway, and in its course, it's apparent that "bad persons" are not always too bad, and "good persons" who rule the society with wealth and power are not too good either. To relate the tragic situation, the drama is beautifully shot in dystopian fashion, battle strategies and action scenes are cinematically crafted, can't wait for part 2 to release soon! Was this review helpful to you?
The actors played their roles so well that you can say it's somehow perfect
Although it's remake but there is still a big difference between the original serie and this remake i'm glad that the production team was creative on including the Korean culture and make it interesting also we can see the acting skills of the actors which shows the potentiels of drama although the actors crew isn't that popular but we still see that the actors really mastered their roles that makes you feel the intense in the drama and sense that you are living in the drama.6 episodes in the drama was really powerful and the way of reciting the story was in another level that doesn't make you bored .
Also it's insisted on showing the problem that really Korea is facing and trying to solve it , like it's really shows that korea isn't a heaven like some imagine it's also has bad side that she try to get rid of and emphasizing that in the drama was really cool the way they showed it was really so entertaining

Disappointment!!! Confusion!!! Unsure!!!!
This series was a bit of a let down!! The trailer made it look like it was going to be really good but now after watching it, I must say, I was very disappointed. It was slow, quite boring and lacked a feeling of intensity and power. It was an ordinary series with very few suspenseful scenes. Too much talking, not enough excitement or thrill. My first problem was with the story line. There were no special moments, just mere conversations between the characters. The execution of their plan was quite interesting but it was just too slow. The process took way too long and we still didn't get to see much progress in their robbery. I mean, they could've showed us more scenes relating to the outcome of their robbery but I guess they have plans to make it big in the second half of the series. I don't know but I guess after watching the episodes back to back, I was slowly starting to lose interest as there was nothing really going on. (I really do hope Part 2 makes up for the way I feel after watching Part 1)I also had a problem with one of the characters; Tokyo, (Jeon Jong-seo). Whoever created her role and wrote her lines, didn't do a really good job. Instead of making her look like a fierce queen, they portrayed her as a little kid with no confidence. (In my opinion) Her scenes were boring and she didn't really have any empowering moments, which made me feel as though her character was pretty worthless, especially because she's one of the main characters in this series. I will however, give an applaud to Park Hae-soo (Berlin) as he was the only real bad-ass in the group. He took the lead and did at very good job at keeping everyone in check (until they all turned on him, which by the way, pissed me off so much) as he should've.
For now, I won't make any more critiques (even though there's a lot) as there will be a part 2 of this series. I do however want to state, that I still have high hopes that this series will have a turn of events and end up being a really good one. Let's see how it all turns out. No more boring!!!! Bring on the excitement, more thrilling surprises and an awesome ending!!!!

Unforgettable heist.
I'm a big fan of the original version of 'La Casa de Papel', waited every year for a new season to arrive and watched them close off that chapter aswell. The story is amazing. I'm always in awe with a good action TV show or a movie filled with tension. The understandment for disappointment is there, atleast from my point of view.
I love remakes, especially when you can see someones hard work in those remakes. You can see the cast, the cinematography, the script. Everything. However, I understand why people are disappointed. That being how they didn't change much of the story or didn't bother changing names much so they kept it all together.
When it comes to the original version, we have more time to see and meet the characters. From professor, Tokyo, Rio and others. We get to see their reason to join the heist and we also get to see the reason they're the way they are in present.
We get to see their extremely detailed past. But that could be because they had more seasons and much more time aswell.
I feel like in this version, it was all rushed a bit too quickly. The heist began quite fast aswell but to each his own.
We will see the next 6 episodes soon when they air so we will see how it all plays out or if there will be another season if the show succeeds in other ways.
The actors did a great job and I'm genuinely proud of them by all means!

Very good remake of the original!!
I love the concept of including issues in regarding North and south Korea what makes it more realistic. The acting is also really good. I didn't even notice I was wachting a drama <33 I can't wait to re watch it :) (music ofc 10/10?)I also loved the fact that you can't predict the ending. And you get surprised every time! :D
I hope people will enjoy it just as much as I did, totally worth watching. I recommend it to most friends of mine who are also just as crazy about k dramas as I am ?

Abolutely forgettable
Money Heist has been dominating Netflix's top 10 in my country since the first season. Thousands are introduced to it almost every day, thousands rewatch it and it has been dissected, reviewed, and analyzed over and over. A lot of people get put off by mainstream shows but how do they get to the mainstream in the first place? They offer thrilling plots, impeccable production, and admirable acting with the perfect cast and script. Money Heist: Korea JEA has unfortunately fallen short on several of these. The Korean film industry comes out with movies and dramas that become hits almost immediately. The choice to remake one of Netflix's top series not even a year after season 4 came out was a bold move. Put a little spin on it (SK and NK unification) and add SKs trademark high production quality, acting, and swoon-worthy cast, I was SURE I would be watching a series like no other. I was disappointed. VERY Disappointed.
"Remakes are sometimes created by taking 'inspiration' from or 'adapting' the original film."
The Korean version is an adaptation. HEAVILY inspired by the original series. The way I see it, they took the story spun a convenient unification to introduce "interesting" characters, brought in their actors, and churned it out. I was flabbergasted, to say the least. I kept on expecting something thrilling to happen but I was sorely let down. I feel BETRAYED.
Acting
I have no qualms with the cast. I have no qualms with the acting. Look at the cast. These are all actors that have made a deep impression on me. Rachel Jun in The Call, Park Hae Soo in Prison Playbook and Squid game, Yoo Ji Tae...I could not be happier with their roles. HOWEVER, hear me out, in the original series I remember the life that the actress brought to the character Tokyo. If Tokyo is like ghost pepper in the OG series, Tokyo is like watered-down tabasco sauce in the remake. I will withhold further judgment since the second part has not come out yet (I know I'm not doing a good job of it so far). I also noticed how the actor who plays Denver (from the remake), used a VERY similar laugh to the OG Denver. Another trait that I'm sure was *Inspired*. I don't care but Denver's laugh should have its own copyrights. You have to own the character that you play. Denver's laugh cannot be remade. Period. I will accept versions of it however by even adopting the same laugh I feel like the remake loses whatever originality it has (Which is almost a joke by the end of part 1).
Finally, can we talk about how STUPID this splitting the series into two parts is? I understand the strategy behind this. Similar to a season finale however the time period between the two parts are shorter. This works in favor of shows that already have a solid fanbase (Stranger things). Shows that have proved from the first few seasons that they are able to produce quality content. But for JEA, it seems unnecessary. I am already disappointed by the content of the show, have no expectations, and am now disappointed that I can't even finish it so I can be done with it once and for all. The show BARELY had any time to gain some traction. Was this really the best decision?
A lot can change in a few episodes. I have gone from hating a show to absolutely loving it and vice versa. I hope this drama will end up in the former category. But for now, I would not recommend watching it. Watch the whole thing after part 2 comes out. Hopefully, it'll have something worth talking about.
