Cruel City Episode 4 Reactions
So I was kind of spoiled by the Doctor's secret from reading the description of the plot for this drama, but I am still happy to have finally see it revealed...with so much backstory no less!!
A very intense episode, not necessarily in terms of action, but in unveiling somewhat the connection between the main characters of this story. I absolutely love that they're all connected in one way or another and I am extremely excited to see how it plays out.
Seeing the type of decisions Hyeong Min is already taking I have a feeling he will only become more reckless and take bigger risks as the story progresses and things may turn out to go against his plans. Maybe he even becomes the anti-hero or villain, who knows? The story is still beginning so there's a number of ways this could go but I'm excited for all the possibilities!
I only hope and pray that the writers handle well the story of a cop, spying on another cop. I'm not too comfortable with knowing that the Director is the only one knowing that Doctor's Son is an undercover detective. I am actually hoping there is an operation behind all of this because this can turn into a huge, disappointing disaster if not handled well.
But so far I am happy with the progression of the drama so I'll trust the writers!

Brilliant! Still watching only until 4 episodes but so much going on in first 4 episodes!!! Like i cannot rest at all watching this! Sometimes I forgot to take my breath in between the scenes. Love the main lead, Jung Kyung-Ho,I like it morecoz it does not have famous over-rated kdrama actors, still watching it but i am itching to recommend it to everyone here!

what u mean to tell me that doctor's son/shi hyun is actually an undercover cop?!? wow this is the bomb dropper, OMG what just happen, are you serious moment. wow now that is great love this episode wow amazing

So I guessed something pivotal in this episode pretty early on in the show. I just knew the amazing Doctor's Son wasn't all that meets the eye. But the writers have to be careful here. Things might end up bordering on preposterous if they drag out keeping such a major secret from people who NEED to know that information. I mean this could make or break the case, given the circumstances. But let me see how they resolve this. It had better be good!
As a side note, now that what's her face has expired, I hope something happens between Doctor's Son & that little girl from the drugstore! Will I get my wish or will I not? Guess I need to keep watching to find out!

So the whole freaking world is undercover? What’s going on here?! I thought that doctor’s son will be an anti-hero that I will enjoy watching but it turns out that he was a police officer all the way.
And what on earth is the director trying to pull? If he’s the only one who knows that doctor’s son is an undercover agent then why did he approve on sending Soo Min? Is it like an undercover spying on another undercover game or what?
And by the way Hyun Min is being too cruel to Soo Min; he should appreciate her since he knows that Gyun Mi loved her so much.

OH MY GOD~!!! What an episode!!! What an ending! I cried out so loudly, my mom and dad almost got a stroke, lol...
I knew it~ knew it~ but it STILL surprised and freaked me out~!!!
Damn, this drama is rocking my world right now~
By the way, am I the only one, who thinks HyongMin acted cruelly toward SooMin? I mean, now he acts like everything is in the second place after "catching Dotcor's Son"... the girl doesn't know anything! I was pulling my hair while screaming "Damn, girl, protect yourself, what about the drink that dirty snake gave you?" I hope she does better from now on...

I can always go back to this episode and the ending will still shock me.
I look at this Doc Son and then I look at another Doc Son from ending of episode 14 and on.
Doc Son is well thought out processed character. Hats off to the writers.

OMG this episode was intense, there is a point when you don't know who is the good guy.
Was indeed a great surprise...
I think I'm gonna start hating Hyung Min pretty soon.
And I already want to watch and suffer with the romance between Doctor and Soo Min

The show has got awesome plot, handsome...est lead and a catchy ending theme..what more do one need...

If by some chance you needed a final push for Cruel City to hook you, this episode will do the trick. Peppered with surprises throughout, including a major tragedy and a completely unexpected reveal about the mysterious Doctor's Son, I guarantee number four will floor you. The true female lead is being pushed to the front now and so is the actual conflict. On more superficial notes, the music remains perfect and unheard tracks were rolled out for dramatic scenes. Another Jung Kyung Ho alert: this time we get laughing, smiling, and tears, all of which are effective since they've been so reserved until now.

The fact that shi hyun is not what he appears to be was such an unexpected but wonderful surprise. This was not fast paced as the previous three but it was still great, we got some much needed backstory even though more is still needed and we also got to see jung kyung ho laughing which i absolutely love. I should probably be sad about Kyeong Mi's death but the way she dives into things without thinking or letting people know it's really no surprise that she would get killed although the way it happened was totally not expected. Now it's Nam Gyuri's turn at the spotlight and i'm hoping she does and excellent job as the lead.
