Good Enough
" Growing Season " is a drama between the more mature ones that Playlist Global started producing in 2020 and the more cute, romantic ones, like Love Playlist. It had a more realistic approach to how young women see love and romantic relationships, but it also had some adorable pairings and some entertaining love stories.However, I must admit that those love stories were predictable. They were adorable, don't get me wrong, but they were a bit 'cheesy' because the main mood of the drama was too realistic for that approach. Fortunately, the main highlight of the drama was the friendship between the three girls, their girl talk and their struggles, so that let down can be overlooked. The girls had real-life problems and real-life concerns and the drama did not shy off from subjects like intimacy and STD.
Finally, the pace was just right for the story and the performances were very good from everyone in the cast.
So, overall, 8 out of 10.

Interesting
"Growing Season" is all about love, sex, finding and loving yourself, and having a good community. The story was predictable but satisfying. I love how they all took care of one another, physically and emotionally. They left the ending of Hayoung open-ended which I didn't like because that would mean a season 2. I don't like season 2s especially for this mini-drama because I think the writers are just going to drag it out. I honestly liked the "friend" dynamic between Soo Ha and Ah In more than their "lovers" dynamic. Ji Yoo and Seo Bin had pretty good chemistry. One thing that didn't satisfy me was the kiss scenes. For a mini-drama that is based on sex, I would say that I expected better kisses. But, who am I to judge? Overall, I would recommend it for a mini-drama.Was this review helpful to you?

Great Drama with a Great Message
I don't normally like romances (with the exception of a few) because they tend to be so infuriating, but I did like this one. This drama tackled subjects that I don't normally see get talked about. I'm a firm believer that you do not need to be in a relationship in order to be happy. That's one of the reasons I really liked this drama. The three female leads all had growth in ways that was unique to them. Ah In was able to find a relationship where her boyfriend respected her pace and her decisions. Ji yoo was able to find a relationship where she had a genuine bond with her boyfriend that wasn't solely related to sex, and she continued to be her. Ha Young's growth was one of my favorite's...while the other girls found relationships, Ha Young let go of relationships and put herself first. She left her old friendship and found friends who genuinely care about her. She also broke up with her boyfriend and pursued her dream of studying abroad. I know that some ppl wanted her to bed back together with Seo Woo but I think it was time for them to break up. There was a lack of communication and trust and they were both unhappy. Ha Young also started to feel more comfortable talking about her problems with her friends and being more open overall. I really enjoyed the message of this drama and I would recommend it.Was this review helpful to you?
One of the best dramas of 2020
This drama was amazing and the summary doesn't do it justice. The leads are 3 female university students figuring out love, sex and relationships. It touches subjects such as slut-shaming, falling in love ,sex , cheating , friendship and so much more. It was so realistic , touching and relatable with issues all young people deal. The characters felt natural,smart and fun .Also it was propably the most feminist kdrama i've seen, where women could be cute, sexy , girly yet still strong and confident ..The acting was top notch even from the support cast. Short but not rushed this web drama delivered what many tv dramas (with huge actors and production) failed to.Was this review helpful to you?
it's a story of me and my friends.
this story is reminding old me. when I watch this drama I am addicted to it. every week I was waiting. I love the characters. It's a great message for women of any age, in that the different views, levels of experience and personalities, of the 3 main female characters, are so different, but respected within the story. yesterday I rewatch it and after submitting this review I am going to watch it again. that much I love this story. One of my fav web dramas.
Web dramas may seem like cheaper versions of kdramas from netflix, hulu, viki, etc but I personally prefer them because they have such a good story and plot while adding in fun twists. This drama was just so good. The acting was just amazing and the message behind all this just makes it even better. I would definitely rewatch it again in a few months. Although it was pretty predictable, it shows friendship, romance, conflict, and meaning. Growing Season will probably be my favorite web drama for a long time.Was this review helpful to you?
It's all about the girls
This is such a good series and I love the characters. It's a great message for women of any age, in that the different views, levels of experience and personalities, of the 3 main female characters, are so different, but respected within the story.No judgement is passed on a chosen lifestyle, but via the series, the assumptions and rumours of others about them, are explored.
I loved how supportive each woman became of their friendships and that no pressure was put on, or fun made, the more naive and inexperienced character.
There are also very valid points made about the importance of sex and sexual health education, plus the need for easily obtainable routes to qualified, empathic and sensitive advice.
A really nice watch.

Pleasantly surprised..
I'm not gonna lie: I AM a sucker for a good 20-something friendship drama. If it isn't rainbows and butterflies all the time, all the better!Normally I don't go for short dramas because the characters tend to lack depth in my opinion, but Growing Season was different. It actually managed to make me care for the characters and gave comfort. This drama tackles more adult topics than most kdramas for younger audiences. I appreciated the struggles and the lightness of being young and missed my friends while watching this.
If you liked this short drama and didn't watch "Age of Youth" yet, do it!

Though I find them awkward in acting, most of them are fairly new to my eyes, I think they are not as much well known as I haven't seen them much on the korean drama scene/world. Still I tolerated the awkward acting, it's fine in the long run.
I would recommend this as a past time drama with a mature concept.

Cute and Mature
you should really be open-minded when watching this web series. nonetheless, it's a good web series. the castings are good and their acting is not cringey. watched it because of Park Ji Won but i found myself stalking all of them because they are undeniably good. unfortunately, the story is not that good. its intention is nice, though. it tackles about mental health, being liberated, young love, self-love and all those good stuff. i think there is something missing ith the drama that can be added for it to be more beautiful. thus, it is good enough already. the casts are the major highlight. they have good chemistry and rapport.Was this review helpful to you?

A less than realistic guide to YA relationships?
Watching this show I felt that it wanted to educate me too much. It's good if teens, or young adults have access to content like this, which is probably a pretty big deal in Korea, however I cannot help but feel that shows like Dawson's Creek have all that and much more & it's done better, the educational intent is conveyed more naturally etc..Content like this is not what western audiences watch kdramas for & if we look past all the ehm "messages" there is not a whole lot left. Four hours are not enough to warm up to the two and a half mildly fluffy relationships, despite the actors doing a pretty good job across the board. The sismance did not feel that realistic, also it's weird how in the first episode FL2 seemed to have hated FL3, but the writer did her damnedest to make the audience forget that later. (also Chlamydia is not a virus)
Still there were some entertaining moments, 6/10.

It's really good.
This web drama talk about sex, friendship, problems you can have during a long relationship and that you always can find some happiness in small things of life.The best things was the growing of the cast.
I felt very happy about Ha Young, the way like truth is always the key in everything, the way they educated the public about a STD that so many people don't know about a all.
The two couple relationships looks so health and cool, they are so different from each other but a the same time they "look alike". Wish I can have someone like the boys in my life too, lol
I really enjoyed the drama and recommend to everyone who wants a short drama to enjoy in a short time.
And being a delulu, I hope the we are going have a season 2 lol (I'll be so happy if I enter here and I see abt another season)
