I almost skipped the show because of the synopsis! I though its another petty revenge show, hence I wasn't keen. But, I gave OffGun a chance lol...I love the social satire displayed. It's also brilliant how this show managed to cover several issues from capitalism, LGBT, social injustice....and throw us some BL hot stuff in between.
They did it WITHOUT having to do any extreme hot sex scene to sell the show, or unnecessary toxicity in the show.
Is the show realistic? Perhaps, not totally, there are some loophole here and there, but hey...it's called a show for a reason.
What's important is this show is not only entertaining and, thrilling, but it is also thought provoking.
Of course, OffGun Chemistry fills my cup up with their love and sweet moments. Oh, did I mention that their acting, especially Gun's has improved so much!!! It's also of the rare BLs where all the casts, boy or girls are very lovable!
Give it a try, it's really good, I really enjoy it a lot...so much so that I didn't skip any parts at all!

This show was an emotional roller coaster but i'm so glad I rode it
From the beginning i was so excited and after the first episode i was hooked. Literally there are so many amazing plot twists. though when black did wake up and come back it was hard to differentiate who was who it quickly got cleared up once white put on his glasses though. The actors have great chemistry and watching it made my heart cry. The music was good at fit the scenes and the show was really captivating. I binge watched it. I watched till episode 5 went to bed woke up and immediately continued. When I got to the final episode i was like that went by so quick i cant wait for season 2(there better be a season 2) overall one of the best bl dramas ive seen. Literally so good. I'm a sucker for the enemy's to lovers story and this did a really good job. If there's one bad thing its that it wasn't longer 10/10 would deff rewatch and i prolly will. Was this review helpful to you?
The best drama i watched in many years
To be honest there hardly anything left to say how this drama is one of the best series that been on the market in years. The story is stunning, complex masterpiece, writing obviously by people who have a full understanding of how young people think and act. Just want to emphasis screenwriter as dialogues are captivating. There a lot of actions and talking there.
Acting is top level.
This story could not have BL at all and still would be one of the best dramas I watched. BL is just moving it to another level adding another layer of complexity. It is obviously different to usual BL dramas where BL is the main focus, here BL is just part of the complex story.
All characters there are written with backstory, all of them a complex thinkers/creators, striving to accomplish something, only strong cast could support it. This drama enhance all your senses with powerful messages via action, painting, dancing and thinking. Nothing there is extra or fillers, you cannot skip it, you need to watch full on repeat. Extremely powerful messages of freedom and right to express your opinion, of recovering through art, of equity, of trying to find your way and more.
I still surprised that this series is not highest ranking. I watched a lot of BL and dramas and this one of the most impressive dramas that I watched in years.

Spark that starts a fire
Minor, minor spoilers. This is why we don't give up on dramas, because they get better and better and better sometimes. Sure, this drama has BL. So BL fans now have an epic drama in their collections. But "Not Me" has so much more meaning to offer.
I was most impressed by the presentation more than anything else. I don't know how else to call it. Editing, Screenplay, Visual or Production, call it what you want, just that it was so beautiful to watch. Well-paced, suspenseful, and what caught me most, was how implicitly and subtly they conveyed many things. This is what we want. Focus on what you want to show, and can show really really well and just leave hints for 1, the things that need to be said, but are going to be obvious and boring if you have a long drawn out scene with predictable dialogues for it, 2, they are things that are not the focus of this story. And, they didn't rush anything because they had too much cover in too little eps and they didn't slow stuff down and drag because they had too little to show.
Now for the theme. Fighting for a cause, not for me, not for you, but for everyone. How it can start, how it can evolve and how it can bring about a change, the same as a spark that can start a fire. But how there might be more than one way to do it, only that there will always be consequences. It's for those fighting to decide what's it worth to them. This was so well done.
All in all, you'd notice I haven't actually spoken much about the BL part of it, because, a) I wasn't actually in a bl mood when I watched it, so that might a reason, why that's not on mind. If I have any complaints it'd be that somehow I was not as into the romance at all times, as I would have liked to be.. but that's probably on me this time solely. I think I'll watch it all once again when I do have the bl bug. b) because having said that still, all I have is appreciation. I might not be in the mood, but I'm not blind. Please, we already know that this main couple can be extremely convincing from their previous works and their acting as always is so on point here too, that I would really not even do justice if I said anymore. So all of you, just sit back and enjoy!

Game Changer for BL dramas!!! Highly recommended!
If you are a BL drama fan, who wants a change rather than soft BLs, this one is for you. There are fluffy moments, but the plot is far more interesting than you can imagine. Their chemistry is top-notch, and I can guarantee you'll see the differences between other BL dramas and Not Me the series. The story development is exciting, and there will be a plot twist (Which I guessed from the beginning).
Overall, what I can say is this is not a type of drama that most of you guys watch often. The difference is the storyline and the visuals and acting as well. Actors have given 100% from their end to the characters.
I highly recommend it if you are a fan of KinnPorsche the series.

Love, Hate, Sadness, Happiness, Trust & More!
First, I want to say - a lot of the reviews I read seem to take it to the extreme with every little detail from story, each character, every actor, sound, lighting, etc. I myself do not like reviews like that, they seem opinionated and also have a tendency to give away too much of the plot. This is one of my favorite series to date. I watch a lot of Korean, Thai, Japanese Series and everything from romance to suspense to BL - and this show has all of that and more.
This series is so deep, with a lot of thought-provoking moments. It is filled with suspense, love, romance and more. I truly could not stop watching it long enough to get my chores done. And I will definitely watch this again someday. I especially like the way the twins' story played out. Really every character had a story with depth and all of the acting was top notch. Some of the music choices was surprising, but still very good.
I came across this series by chance, and I am really glad that I did.

Orginal plot, but messy plot.
Gun's performance always outsells. We expect and he overdelivers. We can clearly see some improvement in Off's acting, which I'm totally here for. Gawin's acting was and continues to be terrible. Honestly, I have yet to see a decent performance by him. Mond was good! Everyone else was ok. The plot was interesting and original, but they made it messy as hell. Coulda and shoulda have been better written. Definetly hoped for more black/white interactions than this. And would have loved to see the development of sean's and black's relationship after they became "family". Yok and Dan's relationship was terrible from beggining to end. And i liked yok's character, although he was clearly too naive at times. (and a lil stalker, tbh). Was this review helpful to you?
This series is going to define a whole new era of Thai BL series
I literally created an account with MyDramaList just to share my opinion on this series. I just finished watching episode 8 on YouTube, and I am beyond just blown away. This series is by far one of the most visually but also storytelling wise engaging series, I have yet had a chance to watch. The story around politics, gender identity, failure and success in a world which is ruled by the few is a story I have yet not seen in many Thai dramas, and it is setting the bar high for future productions. This series is going to path a whole new way of not only BL stories, but Thai series in general, and I am beyond honoured to be able to witness this. Every character is beautifully portrayed by a beyond talented cast of actors/actresses, and the chemistry not only between them is so natural. I am immersed during every episode so far and just come back to reality when the ending song hit, that's how much of an impact the series as a whole had on me so far. Please take your time and watch this series on YouTube, you will not regret it at all. Can't believe we get to watch this masterpiece for free on their official channel. I am beyond grateful. Was this review helpful to you?
OFFGUN chemistry
omg i cannot stretch this enough when i say offguns chemistry has never been so good i could feel it through the screen, i would give up my lungs to watch this show again for the first time. their first meeting in the show is so intense. The acting in not me is incredible, the cinematography is so aesthetically pleasing to watch. even the side characters had great chemistry. the directors picked the perfect cast for the roles. Atthaphan Phunsawat's acting has improved so much I'm really proud of how far his career has come. I would write a note for my next life to find with the name of this show in it.Was this review helpful to you?
Finally, a story driven BL - a new age for BLs as they just keep getting better and better.
I've been so impressed with the latest BLs coming out recently. They're more story-driven, with well-rounded casts, great acting, wonderful editing, and even good OSTs. First, it was I Told Sunset About You (and its sequel), then Bad Buddy, then Semantic Error (Korea), and now this. I'm ecstatic with what I'm seeing, especially with the inclusivity in Not Me. The writers manage to touch upon so many important topics, like LGBTQ rights, advocacy for those with disabilities, wealth inequality, political corruption, etc.The cast are all very great actors, but I'm of course especially impressed by Off and Gun and the other main actor pairings. Gun's acting stunned me out of the gate. His scene in the restaurant during the first episode impressed me. I could feel myself getting suffocated just watching his struggle, he looked genuinely in pain and afraid. His eyes are very expressive. His chemistry with Off is immediate and electrifying. I can understand why theirs a ship for them. Also a huge fan of the height difference. Off is also mesmerizing on-screen, and my heart breaks and rejoices with every microexpression.
[[[Ep 3 Update:]]]
Continuously completely blown away by the commentary. The writing for this series is really wonderful.
[[[Ep. 7 Update:]]
The night-time scene at the rally moved me to tears. Beautifully shot. The community representation. The cinematography. The song. The moment when Sean first saw White at the rally, and when he meets him underneath the flag. That whole scene, with Sean and White underneath the flag, gave me SO MANY GOOSEBUMPS. Full body chills, honestly. Especially when Sean grabbed his hand. UGH. I'm loving this series so much. T_T I'd also like to add that I'm *completely* invested in the secondary love line so far, with Yok and Dan.
[[Ep. 9 Update:]]
The goosebumps never left me. If you haven't started this series by now, you're really missing out. I want to re-watch everything for the first time again.
[[Ep.10 Update:]]
If Gun doesn't get an award for this series, I'mma throw hands.
[[Ep.14 Update]]
Tears. This series was not *just* a series. It was a movement. It was a feeling. It was release.
I can't recommend it enough and I can't wait to see what else OffGun and GMMTV come out with.
PS. The OST for this series is A M A Z I N G. It completely adds to every scene. GMMTV really outdid themselves.

Couldn't stop watching
This is now my favorite bl series. I liked that it had more of an interesting plot to it. It wasn't just about two guys falling in love; it adressed poltical interests and human rights. It talks about standing up for your beliefs but doing it in a smart way rather than being chaotic about it. The chemistry between the two male leads was electric. And both of their acting skills were phenomenal!! I especially liked Off's portrayal of the character Sean. This is is the first series I watched of Off and Gun. After seeing this I plan on watching all of their works. I watched it all in one day I couldn't stop watching it.Was this review helpful to you?
