my favorite bl series
it was my favorite and i've watched a lot of them. that's it. okay they want me to surpass the character limit. well in terms of story, it was pretty well written. there were a few gaps in the plot but they can be overlooked honestly. acting and cast was spectacular, everyone knows gun and off's talent anyway, the others were amazing actors too. soundtrack was literally the best in the whole country tbh, in every scene I was distracted about how fitting and good the music they use were. i have already rewatched it, I probably will again, and I HATE rewatching things so that's telling something. yea, that's all, it is my favorite and if it's not yours then you don't have taste. Was this review helpful to you?

my ostrich moment
no one knows the violence it took the become this gentle etc etc etc this was the most devastating thing i've ever watched and i feel Insane thinking about it so i won't <3 never watching the last episode. also the pride protest scene was the Most Scene Forever and Ever. may our lives be bright and colorful and may we all have someone who will hold us through night terrors. may we all be gentle people our loved ones turn for comfort even while asleep. i love us all i love you alladding this later as i just found out off and gun are dating and that all of the actors in the lgbt parade scene were lgbt in real life, no wonder this show is so special to me, turns out everything actually came from a genuine place c': and also found out the director is trans as well we love to see us winning!!
apparently i'm supposed to write 500 words so i guess i'll talk about the rest of my thoughts.
the entire series was so immersive as the screenwriters popped off with character building, i'm very very thankful to all those who participated in the making of this series, for portraying those who are silenced everyday but continue speaking up regardless. seriously that pride march / protest was Everything to me.
each song and track were SO good and placed at the right scenes SO well i went to spotify to find songs many times. bless whoever picked bass heavy instrumentals too idk why it isn't done more often in this type of series smh
anyways i think this isn't meant to be watched in a weird gay fetish-y way (as nothing is meant to be watched with that mindset really). this wasn't a cliche fanservice BL or whatever the fuck cishet mfs call it & i hope it will be appreciated properly for the social injustice it addresses and for telling the story of lgbt people in a realistic and respectful way.
also whoever did the artwork throughout the series really snapped. especially the mural sean's friend did after the fire, i also remember one with many eyes that make an angel wing shape? the cop dude's artwork was great too. if anyone knows the artists for this series please let me know!
edit: i caved in and finished it, the last episode was incredible as well i just have no words.

No matter how many BLs I watch, I always come back to this one.
One of the best BLs I've seen, if not the very best. Gun's acting as both Black and White was phenomenal. The slight differences that he manages to portray between identical twins is so convincing, it feels like there are two actors playing them. The relationship is paced perfectly. Definitely a slower relationship development than a lot of shows, but that's exactly what makes it so convincing. The actors have amazing chemistry and really sell the development of the characters' relationship. No conflict is overly drawn out either, which saves the viewer from unnecessary frustration.
The plot outside of the romance is fantastic. You've got this gang of college students attempting to fight for justice in a way that they see fit, except each individual has their own idea of what exactly this means and how to go about it. Naturally, this causes conflicts between them. I thought this helped to make the relationships between all the characters that much more convincing. You really sympathize with the cause behind why they're fighting, and root for them even when they might not be in the right. Following them through this justice-seeking journey is a thrilling watch when paired with the development of Sean and White's relationship.

This is a thai bl
Offguns chemistry is amazing definitely the part where Sean (aka off) finds out about black & white being Identical twins. Off managed the role of Sean so well, And let's talk about guns acting the way he played the roles of twins was amazzziinnng and kept them balanced while acting. All of blacks (guns) friends portrayed their roles as well. amazing acting and plot and put together to be one of my favorite shows to watch its binge worthy and you'll never get sick of it I loved this one G'MM"TV 10/10Was this review helpful to you?
A drama that stirred so much emotions - IT HAD MY HEART
I can't even begin to describe how I feel about this drama but all I can say it was a rollercoaster in the best way possible and it had my heart the whole time. Not me was able to create an enticing plot with deep character storylines and the perfect chemistry. It tackles politics, it tackles ableism, it tackles injustice of any kind in an interesting way that you can't help but watch unfold in-front of your eyes. This show may have it's faults, since my review is spoiler free I will refrain from pointing them out and if you're looking for a perfect story then this is not it. So why rate it a 9? Because there's not many shows that can leave me feeling the way I feel now. Through the characters I saw family, i saw love- the characters are far from perfect but that doesn't stand in their way of caring for each-other despite each-others faults, that's what I view as true love- whether platonic or romantic the admiration, the passion, the raw emotions had destroyed me and fixed me in so many ways.
I don't think there will ever be a show that can pull off what 'Not Me' had, and I won't lie i began this show with little expectations only to find a sense of family within the characters and to see a heartening show that stirred so much emotion in me and I could not put it down, I may have watched it in the span of 3 days consistently but during the time I was occupied by my life, my mind returned to thinking about the whole dramas framework and plot. I will forever admire what this show was able to evoke, and I feel like it is a drama I will remember.

And the series is so much better than the book I'm so glad they changed everything even if they didn't give us GramBlack.
First and Gawins couple was also pretty good.
Is a most watch that I recommend even to people that don't usually watch bl series.
The ost song is one of my favorites, and OffGun song (My Side) is also really good.
I really do reccomend it, I have watch it like 5 times already.
And I'm waiting for another OffGun series.

Top-tier to drama top-tier BL.
This is a drama that I absolutely loved the first time I saw it I’m a huge Off/Gun so I’ve seen every drama that they’ve done together and I like them all. So going into this one I was super excited and I knew that I would love it, but I was not prepared for just how much I truly did love the drama. It’s rare that we get a BL that’s not all fluff in. This one was really intense and there was so much drama and you really were on the edge of your seat for some of these episodes and I loved that on top of being able to see you know the characters, Sean, and pretend black fall in love with each other. I thought the messaging around just is and really going for these people who are trying to control society was cool cause I think a lot of people can relate to the the want for justice in the larger societies and how hard it is when that’s not there, so totally relate it to all of the characters and I understood there motivation for why they were doing what they were doing.I also really like that the drama had commentary on same-sex marriage and the legality of that within Thailand in the push to make it so. I think in recent years they’ve been more BLs that I’ve really been pushing for same-sex marriages to become legal and I am here for it.
We already know that Gun is an amazing actor, but I think he really outdid himself in the two roles that he had in this drama you could very clearly distinguish white from black in his voice and his facial expressions. The way he carried his posture it was really a master class on how to do this type of role when it’s one actor playing two different characters and I have not seen another actor do it as well. Usually in Off/Gun dramas, I would gravitate more towards gun in the role that he was playing but I really love what off did in this drama in the way that he portrayed Sean love it.
Another really cool aspect that I liked about the drama is that none characters really went through that phase of like questioning your sexuality when they realize they were falling in love with each other I think they both were just like hey, we like each other let’s not pretend that we don’t and I am here for it..
I want to take a minute to talk about the music in this drama because I think that’s an important part to really set the stage of the emotions that are being depicted on the screen and they had some excellent songs in this drama. Understand by Roza it’s such a beautiful, heartbreaking song and was used perfectly in the show that I have not stopped listening to it since I heard it on the show great job with that song choice and the other song choices as well.
This is the drama that I’ve been able to watch repeatedly, and still love it as much as I loved it the very first time I saw it. I doubt that another BL will ever top this one in my book. I think I want people to try to type it, but I don’t know how they could. It was just lovely in every aspect and I’m so happy that I ventured over into this land of Thai dramas such that I was able to watch it.

One of the best gmmtv dramas
I watch a lot of Thai series' and I just have to say that Not Me is highkey one of the best. From the story line of White pretending to be Black to Dan betraying Yok and the gang, this series did not dissapoint me. GMM dod a really good job with the cast. Offgun are amazing actors but this just blowed my mind. I would like to see the cast together again for a similar style of series. Gawin and First totally made me cry with their acting. The chemistry they hold is unreal. This series shows betrayal, love, hurt, anger, pain and how bad the justice system is at doing its job. It shows how wealthy people can abuse their power. Overall, I love it.Was this review helpful to you?

A masterpiece
Hear me out: was this series perfect? No it was not, but boy did I love the storyline, the acting, the music… it is a masterpiece and here is why:I think we all agree that the story suffered a bit and some points never got explained (like who the fuck was that old man Dan was brought to by Techit?)
But I loved how much the lovestory was subtle and in the background especially in the first half of the series. There was actually a story and yes it feels sometimes a bit luckluster, the big „plans“ are sometimes just unlogical and I also never understood what Gumpas role really is… he is kinda like a trainer/informer/dad but with whom he works we never got to know. But the portrayal of actual characters with brains and rational feelings felt like a breath of fresh air. The sabotage acts show us clearly the youth of the gang but the series still feels mature. I did not cringe once.
We also got two more or less relevant female characters and I loved them! While Namo did not have much of a story I loved Eugene! Her character was amazing and I was so happy for her and Gram in the end. Again, the series did not just concentrate on two gay storylines, which made it a lot more realistic.
I loved the character developement. Every single character (except maybe Gumpa) grew througout the series and I loved it! They all matured a lot and changed for the better, even Black in the end in my opinion. His eyes seemed softer the last time he talked to White.
Sean grew up, Gram got to know his limits, Yok had to go through a heartbreak, White and Black speak for themselves.
The acting: fantastic! I may have never seen an actor that mastered a twin role as perfect as Gun did… speachless. He deserves at least a standing ovation for this! And I don‘t think I even have to mention First, he is on another level which made it even harder for Fluke, whose acting next to Papang was the weakest. But overall still one of the best Thai series acting wise I have watched.
The soundtrack and the cinematography fit so well for the series and were very thoughtful. The stylists deserve a raise, I loved how they let the actors have normal skin without layers of layers of concealer, they looked amazing and once again it made everything so much more realistic.
Okay I try to find an end here, overall one of the strongest (Thai BL) series I have watched and I will not stop to recommend this to everyone!

This show was an emotional roller coaster but i'm so glad I rode it
From the beginning i was so excited and after the first episode i was hooked. Literally there are so many amazing plot twists. though when black did wake up and come back it was hard to differentiate who was who it quickly got cleared up once white put on his glasses though. The actors have great chemistry and watching it made my heart cry. The music was good at fit the scenes and the show was really captivating. I binge watched it. I watched till episode 5 went to bed woke up and immediately continued. When I got to the final episode i was like that went by so quick i cant wait for season 2(there better be a season 2) overall one of the best bl dramas ive seen. Literally so good. I'm a sucker for the enemy's to lovers story and this did a really good job. If there's one bad thing its that it wasn't longer 10/10 would deff rewatch and i prolly will. Was this review helpful to you?

Spark that starts a fire
Minor, minor spoilers. This is why we don't give up on dramas, because they get better and better and better sometimes. Sure, this drama has BL. So BL fans now have an epic drama in their collections. But "Not Me" has so much more meaning to offer.
I was most impressed by the presentation more than anything else. I don't know how else to call it. Editing, Screenplay, Visual or Production, call it what you want, just that it was so beautiful to watch. Well-paced, suspenseful, and what caught me most, was how implicitly and subtly they conveyed many things. This is what we want. Focus on what you want to show, and can show really really well and just leave hints for 1, the things that need to be said, but are going to be obvious and boring if you have a long drawn out scene with predictable dialogues for it, 2, they are things that are not the focus of this story. And, they didn't rush anything because they had too much cover in too little eps and they didn't slow stuff down and drag because they had too little to show.
Now for the theme. Fighting for a cause, not for me, not for you, but for everyone. How it can start, how it can evolve and how it can bring about a change, the same as a spark that can start a fire. But how there might be more than one way to do it, only that there will always be consequences. It's for those fighting to decide what's it worth to them. This was so well done.
All in all, you'd notice I haven't actually spoken much about the BL part of it, because, a) I wasn't actually in a bl mood when I watched it, so that might a reason, why that's not on mind. If I have any complaints it'd be that somehow I was not as into the romance at all times, as I would have liked to be.. but that's probably on me this time solely. I think I'll watch it all once again when I do have the bl bug. b) because having said that still, all I have is appreciation. I might not be in the mood, but I'm not blind. Please, we already know that this main couple can be extremely convincing from their previous works and their acting as always is so on point here too, that I would really not even do justice if I said anymore. So all of you, just sit back and enjoy!

Game Changer for BL dramas!!! Highly recommended!
If you are a BL drama fan, who wants a change rather than soft BLs, this one is for you. There are fluffy moments, but the plot is far more interesting than you can imagine. Their chemistry is top-notch, and I can guarantee you'll see the differences between other BL dramas and Not Me the series. The story development is exciting, and there will be a plot twist (Which I guessed from the beginning).
Overall, what I can say is this is not a type of drama that most of you guys watch often. The difference is the storyline and the visuals and acting as well. Actors have given 100% from their end to the characters.
I highly recommend it if you are a fan of KinnPorsche the series.
