Just watch and you will understand

Ok, first off I would like to say is great acting. In my opinion this is a very good bl besides the fact that a lot of random things do just come out of nowhere. For example Jin Yu Zhen's previous lover. The chemistry with Yu Zhen and Lei Lei, was on point. From enemies to lovers, like who would love a drama like that? The second couple with Zhao Gang and Si Qi is AHHHHHH! Anyways, the reason why I gave it the stars it deserves is because the music was changing nonstop. Like for the ending parts of where it's this cliffhanger freeze moment it just changes from talking about love and regjection to, 'I do, I do, I do". Like seriously you couldve just let the previous music continue. Acting was s tier. I say this because all of it seemed genuine and real like how you would actually experience in real life. The part that broke me was when Lei Lei, came out to his mother, and his mother was like, "Oh, i had a feeling since you were younger you would confess your feelings to a man". Like, having a supporting mother like that qould mean to world. It made me sad and almost cried to the fact that his mother was so accepting.

This doesnt relate to my review but what I've read in other reviews, but why are yall saying that Yu Zhen and Lei Lei didnt get a scene where they make out and gave the scene to Yu Zhen and his ex, when clearly after Yu Zhen states that he likes Lei Lei, they did make out. Like yall could clearly see it. They even went strait to, you know...

Anyways, overall would highly reccomend to watch. And be prepared to cry on some parts cause I was like tearing up and trying not to cry, but yall this cbl is so underrated. Highly reccomend!

A Beautiful, Slow-Burn Office Romance with an Addictive Protective Dynamic

The Story and the Enemies-to-Lovers VibeBe Loved in House: I Do is a delightfully captivating office romance that handles the classic "enemies-to-lovers" trope with great charm. The plot centers around a strict, cold new director who establishes a no-dating rule in the workplace, and an employee determined to make him break it. While the premise sounds simple, the narrative excels in how it slowly peels back the layers of the characters. It evolves from a chaotic clashing of personalities into a deeply comforting, heartwarming story about healing past emotional scars and finding a safe haven in each other. The Characters and Their Magnetic ChemistryThe heart of this series lies in the powerful dynamic between the two leads. The main director embodies the ultimate "alpha male" archetype—he is distant, demanding, and fiercely independent, yet underneath that frozen exterior lies an intensely protective and caring partner. While the acting can admittedly feel a bit unpolished or stiff in certain episodes, the underlying chemistry between the actors is undeniable. The way their relationship shifts from professional hostility to domestic intimacy is beautifully executed, creating a strong, supportive bond that feels incredibly satisfying to watch.Atmosphere and Comfort Watch EnergyThe series does a fantastic job of establishing a cozy, intimate atmosphere, especially when the characters are forced to share a living space. The pacing is a perfect slow-burn, allowing the tension and affection to grow naturally without rushing the emotional payoff. The soft cinematography and gentle soundtrack amplify the romantic and warm tone of the show, making it an excellent comfort drama that easily distracts from any minor acting flaws.VerdictThis drama proves that a captivating dynamic and strong emotional chemistry can completely overshadow any shortcomings in performance. It delivers a beautiful, sweet, and occasionally intense office romance filled with protective instincts and genuine warmth. If you love cold, possessive male leads who completely melt for the person they love, this tajwański gem is an absolute must-watch.

My comfort show!!

How do you review Be Loved in House: I Do when your main memories are office flirting, workplace policies, and Aaron Lai smiling like he personally invented romance?

This series really looked at the office romance genre and said, "What if we added a no-dating rule, emotional baggage, interior design, and enough chemistry to make HR nervous?"

Jin Yu Zhen arrived with new rules, new expectations, and walls so high they practically needed planning permission.

Shi Lei saw those walls and immediately decided they were merely suggestions.

Naturally, chaos followed.

Aaron Lai brought so much warmth and sincerity to Shi Lei that it was impossible not to root for him. His optimism, persistence, and ability to see through Yu Zhen's carefully constructed defenses became the emotional heart of the series.

And Hank Wang as Jin Yu Zhen?

The king of emotional repression.

The emperor of longing glances.

The CEO of pretending everything is fine while very clearly not being fine.

Watching Yu Zhen slowly open himself up to love again while Shi Lei patiently stayed by his side gave us one of the softer and more mature office romances in Taiwanese BL.

Their relationship wasn't built on grand gestures.

It was built on trust.

On consistency.

On choosing each other in small ways every single day.

The supporting cast brought warmth, humor, and life to the office environment, making the workplace feel like a community rather than simply a setting.

And can we appreciate the people behind the camera?

Director Chiang Bing Chien understood exactly what this story needed: comfort.

The pacing was gentle, the emotional moments were allowed room to breathe, and the series never felt the need to create unnecessary drama to keep viewers invested.

The production team leaned into warm lighting, cozy interiors, and quiet moments that made the story feel intimate and inviting.

And the soundtrack?

Soft, comforting, and perfectly matched to the atmosphere of the show.

Be Loved in House: I Do wasn't trying to reinvent the office romance.

It was reminding us why we love the trope in the first place.

This wasn't enemies-to-lovers.

This wasn't rivals-to-lovers.

This was emotionally unavailable boss × determined employee who absolutely refused to give up on him.

10/10.

Would absolutely work overtime at that design studio and watch Shi Lei slowly dismantle Yu Zhen's emotional defenses all over again.

The!! Ending!! Was!! Rushed!!

Okay I really loved the two main characters and from the other reviews I’ve seen, the majority is in agreement that they feel as if the ending was obviously very rushed for them to end up together. They had all this build up, and honestly in episodes 9-11, they just avoided each other and totally could’ve had a first kiss or feelings explosion during any of their awkward “shuffle around each other” encounters.

I’m curious why they are having a 13th episode come out, I don’t think it should’ve been marketed as a special since it’s coming out the week after the show “ends,” it could’ve just been episode number 13.

Anyways, the second couple was really cute and soft, I enjoyed their chemistry which was comparably a fast moving relationship compared to the leads. Ugh.

Anyways, I really would love to see Hank and Aaron more, either a continuation so we can see what they’re actually like as a couple in this drama universe or in something else entirely, I like the actors together.

Also, I hope the third/straight couple in the friend groups winds up being okay since we never actually saw if they made up or not, but I guess the assumption is that they are or will be fine since the single rule has been abolished.

Also strange/weird encounter with someone from HIStory? I liked it though haha.

OH and I loved Shei Lei’s mom and how supportive of her son she was. That was great.

I missed something.

This drama was good enough to enjoy it, but it wasn't great. I can't really put my finger on it, but there was something missing for me. I think it was the chemistry between the couples, there wasn't enough really good chemistry. It was there, but is was too superficial.
The visuals were beautiful and the music was good.
In the first episode they used to much weird sound effects, that really was too bad, it really didn't fit.

The mains had a good NC scene in the last episode, there was more chemistry between them in that scene. The kisses of both couples were ok, but not great.

The visual is only the good element

It took me too much time to get into the show, the first few episodes are absolutely a no fun for me, but midway of the series, it was getting entertaining and enjoyable. This is when the mother appeared in their house, since then I am smiling throughout the main couple’s screen time. My favorite scene is the accident kiss, it was too cute and good.

Having such two handsome main actors, the show has the potential but unfortunately failed to execute the whole story.

Factors why I give the show a low rating:
- Poor acting
- Less workplace details
- Rough and messy transition
- Cringe and annoying side characters
- Too ordinary plot
- The insertion of unnecessary and excessive b-sounds
- SIDE COUPLE that has NO CHEMISTRY. The café owner is good but he’s partner is not fit for acting cute. I am watching their scenes with a totally no-emotion-facial-expression.
- Forgot to explain the past. It is when a flashback of Jin Yu Zhen meeting Shi Lei has seen but after that, no explanation has given.
- The title “I DO” is given to the side couple during the last episode and the main couple way of saying I Do is by the new rules created by Jin Yu Zhen.

Anyways, although I have a lot of complaints about the show, I have probably a good time watching it. If only they manage to show us more maybe my rating will be good enough.

I was scared the series was gonna be to toxic but...

Alright, I watched the trailer and everything looked so cozy but when I started watching it I almost stopped. So when Jin Yu Zhen was introduced I thought; "he must be such a toxic red flag male lead", but I was wrong. Jin Yu Zhen is just a misunderstood (even in the series) person. His actions are not meant to hurt others, but they do. I love how, I, as a watcher, felt the same way Shi Lei and the other co-workers felt in the beginning. They did a good job with how watcher felt while watching, every single emotion, I felt them the same way Shi Lei did.

The side characters story kinda sucked, but it also wasn't really the main focus ofcourse, though, I still find it funny that all of the side couples got together before the main did. I'm not disappointed with how long it took for them to start a relationship, since their relationship developed slowly but they did act romantic. It was a bit of a ragebate on when they started dating. I was almost screaming each time they layed together and still DIDNT admit their feelings,

Aside from this all loved it!!

I wanted to like this so much that's probably why I so disappointed

I had such high expectations for this BL after watching the trailers but unfortunately I cannot stop finding it dull and boring. Productions is clearly a low budget one and ok I can get over that without problems if the story is well done and characters are compelling, But there is none of that either, the story is told in such a maldroit way that i cannot suspend belief and while watching I keep thinking why are the characters behaving this ridiculously?
Also unfortunately the characters don't pull any emotional note for me, the most emotional I've felt it has been when they have shown Aaron scar and I was shocked to see the proof of how terrible his accident must have been, but that's it. All the moments that are supposed to be cute and/or sexy are so forced and out of an emotionally involving context that they are at best bland and at worst cringe worthy.
The only redeeming point I can find is that the actors are cute and seem sweet, so I am trying to give them an extra chance and keep watching, but if next episode (episode 5) doesn't find a way to make the plot a bit more balanced and appealing I will sadly drop it.

Watch it:
if you do not have high expectations which will probably make it a better experience
if you are a fan of any of the actors (they deserves support anyway)
if you are looking for eye candies which are often undressed
if you want something very light

Do not watch it:
if you are looking for a well developped plot
if you are looking for emotional attacchment to the characters troubles
If you expect a good production quality
if you look for great acting

I hope you have more seasons! I expect great things from this show!

It is a beautiful and wonderful series, which addresses interesting topics such as self acceptance, and discovery of feelings, and the fact of knowing how to deal with them. There could be more episodes, or maybe more time for each one.
I found it strange that the ex appeared at the end of the season (which has ONLY 12 episodes with 25min each). I hope you don't rush the story in these last two episodes.
I really hope you have more seasons! I look forward to learning more about the main couple, about their future.
PS: I LOVED the mother's relationship with her son, and the way she handled everything. It was beautiful and necessary. I was a little tired of all the bl just going over that subject. Loving a person of the same sex is unfortunately still taboo.

Not intrigued enough to continue

There's nothing immediately bad about it. This time it's simply that it's too average for me to continue.
The story is mildly interesting. The acting is average. The pacing is kind of slow and it just feels like a lot of talking and nothing else.

It doesn't help that the frame-rate of the video is too high so every shot looks like a soap opera. I need some motion blur. In order to get past that technical preference of mine, the show has to be better overall to be worth continuing. And so I'm dropping it.
