Actually one of the good K-dramas, here's why.

I just want to start of by saying how I regret not watching this when it aired because of many around me saying how bad it sucked. This drama isn't as bad as everyone claims it to be. As me being 12, I don't think I should have watched it (the first two episodes) on the Brightside, I find it a well put together drama. Their acting's were just amazing however, there was an issue I had with episodes 11-12. Of course it's only normal for K-drama's to have a break up right when the characters get to know each other and settle down but, I just feel like the writer wanted it to be dramatic when it was nothing. There was absolute no reason for them to break up in my point of view. Both main lead roles were acting purely unmatured when coming to their reasoning why they wanted a break up. I don't know much but I do know that they still had strong feelings for each other. ML wants to break up because he thinks his father burdens FL, FL wants to break up because she thinks her ex burdens ML. I honestly find it unbelievable, at the same time the breakup helped their relationship build up don't you think? They get to learn about each other's weaknesses during the time they broke up but still working together in the same place as both of their exes. Let me just say something, at least they didn't give us fish kisses. Second, the director could have shortened the beginning of their relationship. The beginning of their relationship was literally 11 episodes, then in the next they broke up. They got back together in the last episode. It just seemed like they ran out of space, worked hard on the beginning and gave up at the end. Overall the cast worked hard on this, it portrays the struggles meteorologists go through and how their job is heavily important to us. This was one of the few K-dramas that taught me things that made me realize. Weather impacts out lives more than me think. This is seriously well put together but with a few minor issues, tolerable. P.S. many of you guys probably hated FL ex-fiancé but he was the clown of this show alr, he brought all the comedy along with the team members and FL mother.

High hopes ... dashed

Lots of spoilers ahead

I wanted to love this as Meteorology is facinating to me. The most exciting bits of this Drama was when the weather was being explained / discussed.

Most of the characters felt hollow or their actions werent really explained, they were just there and as viewers we're supposed to just fill in the blanks.

I absolutely love Park Min-Young but i was disappointed with her character. Despite being a boss she rarely felt like she was in control and never grew much as the show progressed. This was disappointing as there was plenty of room for growth which was filled with what i feel were "filler scenes". Far too many scenes were drawn out with one look to the point where i was getting irritated with the pace. Then suddenly things pick up and go super fast and the important things feel like they aren't looked at as much as the "just looking at someone/something scenes". Also .. how in the world is it okay for one coworker to grab and harass another okay in 2022? Not just the fact that it was a male that did it to a female but if it was any gender. How was that person not arrested and charged. Toxic toxic toxic.

Forcaster Um.... there was room for him to grow but his character just flat lined the whole way. Disappointing. Same as the other members of team 2. So many missed opportunities.

How is it that the cheaters of the show had the most growth in the whole series?? They werent even the lead characters. Blows my mind.

Si-woo felt whiny and childish. He annoyed me from the get go. But one thing i can say is that he was 100 percent correct in wanting to be rid of his father. The fact that director Jin encouraged him to forgive and forget infuriates me. Just because people are your family doesnt mean you need to allow that toxicity into your life.

Kim Mi-kyung is also a favourite actor of mine but her character felt flat. Her character also felt like she barged in and disrupted things for no good reason. This is 2022 .... we're not living in the past. Can we stop with the toxic, overbearing mothers already. We need more love and understanding to be protrayed.

There is alot more i want to say but honestly, the cast line up was fantastic and they did the best with what they had. The story started with an amazing idea and completely bombed due to poor character growth and design. The only reason the cast didnt rank as 10 was because they were unable to act to their full potential. Toxic sterotypes made this a hard watch. I can usually let it go if it was earlier in the decade but we are talking brand new 2022... some of the things portrayed in this drama are so problematic. I know it still happens, but we have to stop romanticising these troupes and start dealing with them in the proper way. If the writers were aiming for cute, light hearted etc etc then they should leave the heavier stuff iut if they cant fit it in with the theme of their show.

Love the cast and premise.... hated the pacing and where the story went.

BLAME IT ON THE WEATHER!!

Okay, here we go… I´m sure that producers, creators, staff and talent worked hard and thought that having an A list actress and a handsome rising star was enough to secure a hot spot in our hearts, well as we know now the boat sank like the titanic.

I agree with a lot of the reviewers that stated that they had high hopes for the drama after the first couple episodes. The set up was quite promising with beautiful actresses and handsome actors playing the main couple and supporting couple, but around the fourth episode the series started to go downhill and the good looking talent wasn´t able to keep it afloat. The writing or the direction of the series just went nowhere. At some point I thought that the second couple story line was more interesting and the writers decided to explore that, and forgot about our main couple.

My theory:
Then it got me thinking that perhaps the second couple was the main couple at the start of the project, if so that would have been way more interesting, but then Park Min Young and Song Kang were casted as the other characters and the creators had to compromise by changing the story. As a result we ended up with Yoon Park overshowing everybody and even the story line. It does feel like the SML had to carry the entire show. And the funny thing is that his character isn´t supposed to be likable. He cheated on Park Min Young´s character and came out triumphant. Seriously, I have never seen that happening…

My advise:
Song Kang please choose better projects in the future or simply fire your current management and hire Park Seo Joon´s ;)

Boring

The drama explores the intricacies of relationships, focusing on how individuals set priorities and manage their personal and professional lives. It emphasizes the importance of balance, mutual understanding, and communication in a relationship, whether it's a new one, a just-married couple, or a long-term marriage.

It highlights the struggles faced by each stage of a relationship, demonstrating that breakup isn't the only solution; rather, it's about overcoming challenges together.

The portrayal of the female lead's mother was particularly impressive; she truly captured the essence of her role.

Additionally, the drama shed light on the challenges faced by those working in weather forecasting, something I hadn't considered before.

However, the chemistry between the main leads was lacking, which was a flaw in an otherwise engaging drama.

A different and warm Love story

Even though the story started with little disappointing (cheating with BF and GF) but later on it is taking very well. Relationship and work is taking very well balanced and both the main lead characters are well matured. I saw some negative comments on the chemistry between the ML and FL, of course initially it will look like that because after the heart breaking break up (cheating partners) it will take some time to heal, and to start a new relationship with someone to comfort and chemistry. Since they are the main leads they can’t show their intimacy suddenly with the new relationship after the heart breaking break up. The most convincing for me in Korean dramas is, they show their maturity in the character’s very well, unlike in Chinese dramas, especially in office romance romance drama OMG I feel like to throw up whenever I see the main lead faces, they always keep on looking and thinking each other and making some signals, visiting their cabins for some petty reasons, these things I feel little immature.
According to me till now this drama is going well and I hope till the end so.

Disappointing leads

Being a nerd, I love the weather background, but I am disappointed with the lead actors. Song Kang is a great actor but in this series, he comes across as an annoying simpering teenage boy. The female lead doesn’t even pretend to act, she is expressionless all the time. Mystified as to why they attract each other, or indeed attract anyone, as neither are very likeable. And the age difference is excessive, she looks like his mother. A very attractive mother, but his mother nonetheless. The whole thing smacks of workplace sexual harassment to me, why is the senior director messing with someone who appears to be barely out of school. The support actors are interesting, if I bother finishing this series, it will be to see what happens to them. Especially the man who is estranged from his wife and daughter.

Forecasting bad script

I was eagerly looking for this drama after reading synopsis. I thought this drama would show work and little romance of National weather service people, and be like kdrama "Live". Simple and realistic. But what I seen is nothing short of disappointment.

First, the main ML and FL chemistry is kind of off. Let me say beforehand, I don't care about age gap and I'm completely fine with it. I just simply don't see them as interesting. The romance between them seems like it is something forced developed just because they are main characters and they have
no choice but romance to happen between them. i feel like this because of the way they started, the one night stand which was a cliche way to start. The acting is also on average side. Song kang is great actor, I loved him in Navillera, his acting was good there but I don't know what happened here. Maybe it's the character writing that did unjustice to his acting potential. As for park min young, why does she walk like that. Her hips sway too much like she is on a runway platform. It's so awkward to watch her keeping still face and walk like that. Body language is also quite important in acting.

Now coming to second ML and FL, both are given the routine we have seen for ages. Cheats on main characters, gets tied up together, become scape goat of a script that will continually put them down for viewer satisfaction and glorification of main ML and FL. It's just so obvious these characters on how they will be and it makes me bored. What I am even more mad is that the synopsis of this drama described these second ML and FL as something of a potential but what I saw is total 180° of it. In description it was mentioned second ML is someone who is good at persuasion and a model student. What they shown is a loser who doesn't have any skills and nothing like in the description. Same with
the second FL. The writer is basically making second ML and FL as characters to receive as much hate as they can and I just don't see the point of it. I just want to say "yeah I understand, but unless there is a character development to them can we just move on ".

One more thing, too much improper communication at work place that seems so unprofessional. Gossips in bathrooms without checking stalls and its so unrealistic. All 4 main characters talk with their personal feelings included whenever it comes to work. Anything goes wrong at work people just shout instead of solving. And about weather, I don't know how serious korean weather is and how criticizing it is if something a little wrong is predicted, but I kinda feel they are over exaggerating the work style of National weather service in this drama for sake of dramatic effect. Or maybe not. Since I am not a korean I cannot say I am right on this. But I felt like this because, every moment of episode it's like something went wrong in Korea's weather and nobody is having a sunny day. Like every episode, I keep asking, should the weather always have some problem just to have an episode. You can write one episode on good weather and show normal day at the office. Having every episode with a weather problem is too much routine writing.

I am going to give 2 more episodes as try. But if this drama is going to be like this only I am dropping without changing this rating. But if I like it, I will definitely change.

Anybody in comments try to defend or argue. Well go ahead. But I am going to stick with my review.

Forecasted Wasted Time

I am glad to have postponed watching this, and eventually deciding not to watch this anymore after six episodes. I feel like there is no promising plot ahead.

At first it was okay, enjoyable and all and it slowly bored me. Watching it became a chore. I think this is the first Park Min Young drama that I dropped. I don’t know why she’s always choosing office romance dramas these days. I kinda miss the old PMY like in Healer, or even a period drama like Queen for Seven Days. She should take a break from doing this office theme/genre.

Quite enjoyable but I need to rant

The AUDACITY Ki Joon has to be upset that Yoo Jin was dating and living with Shi Woo before him as if he wasn't about to get married and in a 10 YEAR relationship. Why was that such a big deal???? Ki Joon couldn't let it go but both of them were cheaters and liars????

Both Ki Joon and Yoo Jin are scummy cheaters who have no business being upset or angry or involved in the lives of Shi Woo and Ha Kyung. They have the NERVE to act the way they do when they cheated and abandoned their exes...they needed to be ostracized a bit more. Like how are YOU mad that both Shi Woo and Ha Kyung are working there when it is all your fault. Also, Ki Joon wanting to go half on the apartment to provide for Yoo Jin, Ki Joon having Ha Kyung write for him, him spying on them, the continuous lying between both cheaters, and the fact that they were never sorry and blamed their exes for their poor behavior. My mouth is on the floor.

You can't have your cake and eat it too!! like be so for real.

Aside from this, I am fond of the other main/supporting characters on team 2, the show being about weather is awesome, and I'm still enjoying watching it overall. I just don't like when cheaters act so entitled or their behavior is minimized so they eventually get redeemed.

Amazing

Song Kang and Min Young are back! And their chemistry is electrifying.

Too early to write a full review, but the first 2 episodes are amazing.

as much as i like song kang's cute puppy face and park min young's natural acting....i'm here for the story, the creativity. dont tell me no one realized this drama is too similar with "she would never know" (also from JTBC...) from last year?

***SPOILER ALERT***

-BOTH female leads were hurt by their boyfriends who had another girlfriend behind their backs.
-BOTH female leads were supposed to go to overseas, ended up staying.
-BOTH male leads are the "new guy" of the team, who shines with his efforts and specialties.
-BOTH female leads dislike the male leads at first, but then fell for him.

prediction: yura wanting to go back to song kang again. like rowoon's ex-gf in "she would never know" .

i can go on and on. its like the core idea are the exact same but they just changed the actors; changed the setting of where the story takes place; changing the lines here and there and call it a new drama???

A Catastrophic Storm

Some comments may not be friendly or flattering, so read on at your own risk.

I wanted to like this, I really did.

I got excited when I saw some familiar faces pop on screen.

I just can't keep trying to muster through.

PMY is looking haggard lately (too much plastic surgery maybe?) and looks much older than SK .

More so then just the few years that separate them irl.

She and he do not have chemistry, at all.

His whole look is off as well.

Is he supposed to be "boyishly handsome" or something like that in this?

He's just bland and slightly annoying.

They just don't look right to me when they are together.

And how does one go from about to get married to someone they've been with over a decade to hopping on a co-working stranger?

Being cheated on aside, that feels cheap and sleazy.

The two cheaters have no redeeming qualities and grate the nerves like sandpaper when they are on screen.

I could care less if they regret their decisions.

The weather aspect may be interesting for some, but not enough for me to continue on this hot mess roller coaster.

Netflix just keeps churning out the flops.

Not everything needs to be Westernized.
