first in a long time

I love the chemistry between these two. 9.5 because Leon and his man need their own sequel. I cried twice, and this was the first drama I had watched in a really long time, so I was overwhelmed. But I loved the background characters and the main characters; they were all very likable. really great show. The acting was good because I really felt like hurting some characters and I was crying, so I got into it. I had to pause it to take deep breaths so I wouldn't throw my computer into rage. the rewatch is ten, because i have rewatched it already lol. This was a good one. The review is telling me to write more, so I am. great main friend group. They had me laughing the whole time. They are all nosey and fun, and I love that because I am too.

I watched the first episode and wanted to drop it, because I paid attention to reviews and they were condradictional. Something told me to give it another chance, because the first episodes can be deceptive.
The most salient and really odious thing is gossip boys. Hell, I can’t stand them at all. It is not a plot hole, I just wonder if they are really like this. I am from the Caucasus and I am not really used to see boys spreading out rumors. Fiat and Leo don’t have personal space at all, everybody knows about their “bedroom issues”. Some people really exaggerated this and now it is about Leo, who can’t “get it up”. Outrageous.
Haha, and the fact that one of the friends of the main couple has to give them a condom or other sex toys as a hosewarming gift is hilarious. Sarawat and Tine received a bouquet of condoms after they moved in together. The whole second episode was made for Leo to doubt his abilities.
Sometimes I don’t really understand Fiat. Wasn’t there another way to spite Leo other than screwing around? Fiats father..I don’t get him. Wasn’t he thinking about repercussions when he “turned a blind eye” on Fiat when he was sleeping with just anyone? He should have stopped him for his dignity, not to give an earful to Fiat when its already too late (having said this, I don’t put the whole responsibility on his shoulders).

Uptade: I have just watched the 9th episode. I don’t get it why people give so much hate to this show…Maybe the plot has its fables but its still good…I think, that it would have been better if after watching the clip that Fiat’s friends made for him, his father appeared and told him he loved him himself. It would have been the best gift for his birthday. But it still was well-thought-out.

I am not a clairvoyant, but sometimes I think I can predict plot twists without any ‘’sixth sense’’. The same thing is happening again. Fiat caught Leo kissing with a girl, whose pirde was ferociously wounded when Fiat told her to “dream on”. I was wondering if something would happen to cause a dissension between Leo and Fiat. But this time Fiat decided to TRUST HIM. I’m flabbergasted! Finally someone is being reasonable. I thought that he would chase Leo away accusing him in cheating . I suddenly remembered Tharn who accused Type in cheating like “I saw you kiss him”. I wonder how he missed the part when Type pushed Fiat away. I really appreciate Fiat who understands that everything he saw could have been underhanded by someone. Fiat matured a lot whereas Leo is still easy to decieve. Fiat was trying to justify Leo, who saw him sleeping around for years, although they were not even dating. He didn’t know the truth and still, despite the pain, that was killing him from the inside, he trusted Leo. I absolutely love Fiat. Leo started getting on my nerves when he told Fiat that he didn’t want to see his face despite saying that he knew about the mind games King was trying to play. So didn't Fiat get hurt when he saw you kissing that bitch TWICE?! Btw, these two are too lucky to have their friends by their side! SHOUT OUT TO AEK AND THO!

Leon and Pob..That’s what happens when you meet the right person at the wrong time. But that’s what real love is. Sometimes we just have to let go and the reasoning is acceptable for me.
I liked the series even though I got bored sometimes. It is worth watching but I don’t think I will rewatch this.

My comfort show (minor spoilers, more about characters than plot)

Ok, is this the best show I've ever watched? No. Are there some issues in it? Yes. Do I still rewatch it all the time? Yes!
What I appreciate about this drama is mainly 3 things, pacing, consent, and representation.

Pacing:
Honestly there isn't too much to say about it, but I love how they start off with already being in a relationship. It gives a nice spin on it rather than waiting 10 episodes for them to hold hands. It navigates through starting a relationship which I'll get into later but I love it!
Also the side characters relationships aren't super rushed (are they a little rushed? Yeah but its not unbearable)
Not to mention the side romances are really fricken cute.

Consent:
What this show does really well is especially with Leo and Fiat, is the consent and communication. Nothing is forced and they talk about so much with everything they do (not just including intimacy but their feelings and experiences.) I barely see any BL's nowadays where they genuinley make sure their partner is ok (this goes for the side characters as well.) I love especially early on in Leo and Fiat's relationship communicating their likes and dislikes and trying to be open with each other.
Seeing those scenes for the first time was the biggest green flag for me, it made the relationship more healthy and real in a sense by showing the expectations of what a "healthy" relationship should look like.
I've seen SO many problematic dramas and this just felt like a breath of fresh air.

Representation:
We got a FRICKEN OPENLY PAN CHARACTER AND DEMISEXUAL CHARACTER. Leon admits quickly that he doesn't care about gender when he dates and did date a women before Pob. Also Leo has said that he can't differentiate love from sex. Not to mention there is also a wlw relationship in there as well. Nothing makes me happier when there is more representation than just bi and gay.
It also shows that the creator actually researched and gave a crap about the community they were trying to represent rather than making a BL strictly cause of fan service and popularity.

I am aware that this isn't a drama for everyone and the plot at some points can be a little strange but I have really come to enjoy it and connected to the really down to earth characters.
Not to mention Leo's family is super sweet and I loved seeing the relationship with his mom and Fiat.
If you want a nice refresher from the more problematic/ stereotypical BL's out there I would highly recommend this.

Side couple stole the show!

The side couple Leon and Pob stole the show for me lol! I absolutely loved them! Their love was so cute and fluffy, I found myself smiling and giggling every time they were on the screen. They are by far my favorite side BL couple and I've watched A LOT of BL's lol. Pob is so gosh darn adorable and Leon just can't get enough of him, its so cute! What really made me disappointed was their ending. I so badly wanted them to have an happy ending but no, Pob had to move across the darn country :(. I was soooo disappointed. They honestly deserved better. I also wish they had more screen time. It doesn't look like theres going to be a season 2 which sucks because I really want these two to get back together. But other than that I loved their chemistry and I enjoyed the show.
Oh and theres nothing wrong with the main couple, I liked their chemistry as well, very good acting! It's just that they weren’t really my cup of tea but thats just me. You should definitely check this BL out, its worth the watch.

A series with needing tissues for their issues

Damn this series is problematic. I don't want to say it's painful to watch but uncomfortable. There were many things going around in the series like the problems encountered by the main leads: a mother---ker humiliating Fiat, a sudden appearance of an abusive mother of Fiat and conspiring ugly shits trying to break the main leads' relationship. Those problems went on after one another. I pity Fiat more here than I did in TharnType 2. This was just a horrible roller coaster for Fiat honestly.

The bed scenes (should I say because there's another steamy scene in the shower haha lol!). I like this drama beyond the flaws which are mostly the surrounding issues I said before. I love the gang of Leo and Fiat, especially my girl Anda who protected the main leads towards the end. You go girl!!! I really laughed a lot when they gave Fiat a vibrator hahaah and when Leo sees it he look at his thing. That was funny as hell!!! The friends surrounding Leo and Fiat are so thoughtful when helping them like tracking down rivals or enemies of the two and exposing the two conspiring idiots trying to break Leo and Fiat apart. I adore the twins, every time we got twins in the series I instantly fond of them like the twins from HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count. I love the side couple too, they are lovable.

With all of those redeeming things about this series, I don't think I will not mind Fiat's suffering because of the motherfckdsk out there like his mother. I am so so so uncomfortable when she showed up like there's something f---- wrong about her. I can sense it. I really hate the antagonistic assholes in this series they are the worst. They took a toll on Fiat's mental health when he remember the suffering from being a child into the stalking pervert basketball player, his daddy issues and his new wife and the haters trying to get in the way of Leo and Fiat.

BUT these problems surrounding the series did not reflect the reputation of the series itself. I think this is a great series because it is more realistic like the haters and the family issues everyone can relate about. I really commend the cast especially First deserving applause for being an amazing actor. I love this, this kinda reminds me of The Effect (mini series) which is also realistic in any sense. This series is not overly lovey dovey and I love how they presented the issues here, still kinda wished the issues with her mother must have been resolved in another way. Overall this series is good!!

Rollercoaster of Emotions

This series did take me a little while to finish due "not available in your country" reason and it's cringes at some point.

Overall I actually like the drama. It has a complete set of drama, gaslighting, trauma, harassment, sadness and of course happiness. I like how they overcome each of the stages occurs and not taking and easy road to solve them. Mame and the team really take their time in the story to elaborate!

The character development was absolutely on point! Whether is LeoFiat or LeonPob. They are amazing at bringing their character alive. Not to mentioned I love love love LeoLeon's mother. She is the best! What's more, their friendship in the series is the sweetest; always have each other's back. Of course their silliness is hilarious.

This drama really is rollercoaster. One minute you're happy for them, loving them - one minute later, you're sad and/or annoyed. Excellent story I'd say.

Pretty good

I would have given it a 10 if the series ended at ep 10 (minus 5 mins). Ep 10 was the best episode of the series, Fiat sorted everything and apologised to his family and both the couple had intimate scenes. Ep 11 just ruined everything. The writer forcibly made them break up even though they faced even worse conditions together, idk but i had a hard time accepting that they broke up simply because of a misunderstanding that could've easily resolved by simple communication. They showed such a strong bond throughout the series ans communicated everytime but suddenly instead of talking they choose to breakup? Ep 11 just ruined the perfect boyfriend character of Leo. That guy was mature and understanding throughout the series but suddenly he sees his boyfriend with his rival and he doesn't even want to look at Fiat? even when Fiat was not even in his senses? Fiat approached the situation in better way than Leo. He literally saw Leo ''kissing'' another girl and as if that wasn't enough he was going to do it again but Fiat still chose to believe him bcs deep down he knew Leo would never cheat him even though it was hurting him so much. Ep 11 just didn't make sense to me as the characters didnt behave like themselves at all. The only good thing to come out of ep 11 was Fiat in red suit. He looked stunning!

Overall this bl was pretty different form another bls. Both leads parents were supportive of their relationships. Both were in same level financially. It wasn't typically like rich pursuing the poor (it was the story if 2nd leads). Fiat having a deep convo with Leo's mother and Leo having a deep convo with Fiat's father. Leo always being there for Fiat and hugging him to sleep. Nam & Tho's friendship with Fiat, how they always teased him but always helped him. Leon & Fiat dynamics.

Things i liked:-
•Leon's personality
•Friendships of both the leads. Their friends were always ready to help them out in every situation.
•Fiat's HUGE character development
•They expressed their love multiple times
•Their intimate scenes
•Fiat's relationship with Leo's family especially with his mother. I absolutely loved the scene when Leo's father came to save Fiat from his mother. Fiat called him father and he called him his son.
•An's savage personality
•When Leo prepared a surprise to show Fiat how loved he is for his birthday.

Things i disliked:-
•Fiat's dad's actions. I know he always wanted the best for Fiat but the way he addressed the situation only made it worse.
•Ep 11 (yeah i'm bitter)
•King going that far just to win a basketball game didn't click for me.

quite touching drama

Despite the fact it engages a lot of tropes and the young actors are not all in the character and the acting is weird, this drama is definitely TOUCHING, maybe owing to the fact that the actors are so young and good-looking - like only young ppl can look. I find it moving, though i could see all the flaws and minuses and tropes of this drama.
I'd say, it's so relatable to be young, full of dreams, naive and hesitant... Still the 1st ML is really typical MrPerfect - tall, handsome, rich, caring etc.
Not to rewatch, still enjoyable.

Cute

A pretty cute BL I binge watched one Sunday.

It's pretty standard material but I like that the show started with the start of the relationship rather than the progression, so it was more about about trying to navigate how to be with each other, as opposed to wanting to be with each other.
The drama was up and down, every other episode but I've come to expect that so it doesn't take a lot of thinking, just let it unravel and it's sorted out by the next episode.

I did appreciate the attempts at communicating each other's desires for one another, allowing a natural progression of sexuality within the relationship rather than just jumping each other's bones immediately.

I did find Fiat slightly annoying as a character, a babyish kind of character, pouting and seemingly unable to do regular activities because he's so rich and never had to, or because Leo indulges him. This dynamic is a matter of preference, not really my thing but I can see how indulging in a rich guy pampering your every whim is a bit of desire for many people and can be enjoyed as such.
Both actors are fairly easy on the eyes and seem to work well with each other. Fiat has very beautiful eyes and Leo makes me think he would do well in as a prince in a costume drama. The chemistry between them seemed pretty good and not too forced.

The plot was predictable with the usual melodrama for me but I admittedly enjoyed Fiat's sass to every 3rd party attempt at his man. I do like a bit of sass and it did make me smirk slightly.

Fiat's mother was a strange case but they handled the delicate scenes with child Fiat well. I did feel more for the character after that and makes his own behaviour slightly more understandable.

I would have liked to have seen more of the lesbian friends because they seemed like an adorable couple but as with most friends in BL's they were left to the side to explain the obvious to the viewers.
I also would have loved to have seen more of a punishment for one curly haired character at the end. What he did to Fiat was not ok and there was only a hint of justice at the end. I would have liked to have seen the police cart this slimeball off in handcuffs because that's what he truly deserved.

Visually, they couldn't get enough of the 'really wealthy family' backgrounds. I think we seen a few different mansions in this series and the rest of the time is around the university. The emotional scenes were little overdone and at times somewhat cheesy but sweet nonetheless.

I really didnt care for the sub couple, even skipping them at times but again, that's a matter of preference and I did find them a little awkward with each other. As characters, they didn't seem to fit too well together either and it did seem like a very random, why are you together? kind of couple.

Better than TharnType but still toxic

Meh. Didn’t expect that much, considering it’s a spin-off of TharnType, so that already says a lot.
I did like the main couple a bit more than TharnType but Fiat was just way too annoying with playing “hard to get”. I don’t get what Leo sees in him. Though he did get a development and was definitely better written than in TT.

I mainly watched this bc LeoFiat fans kept saying that Fiat is better here than in TT. I hated him so much there, yet was curious so I gave it a shot. Well... big disappointment. He didn’t change at all. Okay, maybe a little bit. But he keeps hurting Leo and then denying it or puts the blame on him. And worst of all, Leo actually thinks it’s his fault. Dude, whaat??? If your boyfriend was a sl*t his whole life, how are you to blame? T_T

At least this beautiful ship LeonPob was introduced, so I had to continue. They’re so damn cute. And even tho I didn’t trust Leon at first (cause he was a player), I did root for him at the end. Also, respect to this man who kept pursuing Pob.
Which makes the ending even more sadder. Yes, it’s realistic, but cmon! The only reason I watched 12 episodes and then... :(

What I did like overall, also with LeoFiat, is the realism. E.g.: finally becoming a couple but then not knowing how to act; being embarrassed during your first time and not knowing what to do; the talks about how to improve in bed; etc. That's really awesome, instead just giving us the hot scenes, that usually never take place like that in real life.

Excellently developed characters with flawed but healthy relationships

Enjoyed the serious exploration into promiscuity and trauma. I was surprised by how much I found myself rooting for Fiat, considering his role in TharnType2. It was also a great presentation of a friends-to-lovers dynamic (the awkward phase included). All of the relationships were pretty healthy, but still with their own flaws and obstacles to go through. And all the intimate scenes didn't feel thrown in there for the sake of being there. They felt genuine and purposeful - especially considering Fiat's love language is very obviously touch.

The side/supporting characters were almost just as rounded as the mains. The twin brothers need their own show. I'd even watch it if there was no romance involved. And the subtle (but technically unconfirmed, i suppose) lesbian couple that no one made a big deal about in the show was a great sight to see.

However, all of the drama and trauma coming at the mains might have been a tad to much. And some scenes were too over-acted. So I would get thrown out of the moment on occasion (especially when the mother comes in). I'm liking the route Mame took with these characters. Major kudos. I can definitely see myself going back to certain episodes to re-watch. And I can't wait for the sequel series.

Love scenes...

Personally im not that kind of a Person who cant watch bl... And i have already watched some but this drama is way different than the others...
I dont know why exactly but i just cant watch this one without skipping when it comes to the scene where the two of them are showing their love to each other... It makes me very uncomfortable...
I mean yes i admit im not into scenes like these but still i have finished many bl dramas without need of skipping...
The story itself is really interesting to watch and i would mostly recommend it to those who dont have same problem as me ?

Im amazed by myseld that in every bl drama there has to be one that i prefer to the other one... And i often ask myseld how in the world the exactly two of them got together... I also noticed that usually in bl dramas there is one guy who is more sporty than the other one but still bothe of them do some kind of a sport... Thats one interesting i noticed while watching bl...
