Once in Memory: Love at First Sight (2021)

This is adorable and smart

This is a one-off short, and it doesn't rise beyond fluff, but it rises about as high as fluff can get, and even if that's not your thing, I think you might like this.

There are zero tropes in it, which is so refreshing. There is no "but we're both guys!" nonsense - it's just a straightforward romance, and it feels like one between two normal guys - not two Victorian 12 year olds, not a plaster-cast seme and uke, just two guys.

The dialogue is really clever and cute, and the guys are confident and witty, but not without youthful insecurity at the right couple of moments.

The main character, Rossi, is gorgeous - it's so nice to see a darker actor cast and not caked with makeup to whiten him. He's also naturally sexy and charismatic, although it's hard not to be when you look like that. The other guy does a great job too.

Watch it! The worst that can happen is you'll lose 17 minutes.

Confident Guy Goes After Who He Wants....Yessss!

Overall: so refreshing to see a confident guy going after someone who isn't ridiculously reluctant/nervous, hope they can develop this story into a longer series or pair these two up again

What I Liked
- I think they both did a nice job acting and have good chemistry, those smirks and eye movements
- I find confidence to be very attractive and Kong is such a refreshing character
- likewise you can tell that Film is receptive from some of his facial expressions

Room For Improvement
- I'm grading this on a curve because I think it has a very small budget, it would be great if this were a whole series and more fleshed out

Straight to the point

The story is so well defined. It has no awkward moments. It shows no friends or family. because that's unnecessary to the storyline. Both of them look very promising. Kong knows what he wants. Without having second thoughts he goes after it. Kong is a go-getter type. He quickly learns many things about Film. I cant say that Film is taking him seriously. But Its obvious that he likes him. otherwise he wont play along.

Their silent gazes are more than enough to tell the viewers what's going to happen next. "Love at first sight" concept definitely needs an attractive face. No other explanation needed. Its as simple as that. It looked like they fell in love with each other without much difficulty. and Its also easy for us to accept it. If they're not good looking, It takes time to build up intimacy. They don't have to force themselves to like the same gender. They don't have to think about how people gonna react. It has a simple story. The actors nailed it. They delivered everything perfectly.

Its highly recommended. In my opinion if you're a BL fan, you should give it a try.

This is worth watching, it is a great film.

This is a short movie that is very cute and has a nice message. The story is to the point and without any drama, fights, 3rd wheels interfering, and so on. It is just a simple love story. The two guys start out by not getting along so well, but things quickly progress.

The actors are gorgeous, and they did a terrific job for this being one of their only films. I hope to see them get additional projects in the future.

The whole thing is less than 20 minutes long, and there is no filler. The last scene is adorable, and I would love to see another episode to see where this led.

How to make a nice film with the same old story

If I have to complain about this short film, I will say that the story is nothing original. Boy meets boy, boys fall in love. But oh, why does it feel so nice to watch? Sure, the two actors are good looking, but that doesn't make a film nice to watch in itself. I like the way the short film isn't pretentious; it just tells this simple, totally unoriginal story well. The story is told from Kong's point of view, and we can guess that he likes Film from the start is trying to attract his attention by snatching away his ball in the court and perhaps, even before that, by acting like he's upset that Film is sitting at his table in the canteen. On Film's part, he could also have liked Kong from the start and is trying to get Kong's attention by sitting at the table,

The dialogue is competently written, and the acting of the two young actors is surprisingly natural. The actor for Kong is able to convincingly exude confidence, shyness and innocence when the situation calls for it. We see this in the scene in which he is messaging Film on social media through his phone. There's no one to act out the scene with him, but his expressions are on point.

Não assistiria outra vez.

Os pontos mais fortes são realmente a atuação dos dois e a química deles que parecem ser tão próximos, são maravilhosos e são bem novos né? Muito legal ver essa galera entrando na indústria e dando um show, a história em si que é um dos pontos fracos, eu entendo que curtas precisam ser desenvolvidos de forma rápida e por isso as vezes podem tem alguns pontos soltos só que essa história não é tão fofa o quanto parece, faltou algo. Ost? Eu não me lembro de ter ouvido uma ost nesse filme então realmente não posso dar uma nota boa já que não foi memorável. Eu com certeza não assistiria outra vez mas foi bom ter assistido essa primeira etapa deles.

Uma história curta, mas super fofinha. Dois jovens que aparentam ser de universos diferentes se aproximam, se apaixonam e acabam juntos.
Apesar de não existir apelação, beijos, a química entre eles é muito boa e os dois atuam bem.

Como é basicamente um especial dividido em duas partes bem pequenas, não tem muito espaço para um desenvolvimento elaborado, dramas ou histórias paralelas, mas é bem bonita a forma como eles trabalharam os sentimentos, ficou tudo muito sincero. Amei ver o Rossi com o Non, super shipaveis!

Enfim, não tem muito o que falar, faltou uma boa ost, mas o resto dos aspectos técnicos não deixa a desejar. Eu amei, verei outras vezes e indico com certeza.
