Worst serie I have ever watched.
Positive:I honestly don't have anything positive to say abt this serie other than the cast was ok. Sky and Jao were an okay couple I guess??
Negative:
Hell where do I start. The way the characters act is completely shit. Especially Toh, I get this is supposed to be like a crazy stalker type of shit but I really didn't like it. The whole serie is just cringey and weird...why would the friends just dismiss behavior like that? Sure they tried helping him stop at some point but why not be more assertive? And his whole room...it's just not it. How did Nuea just catch feelings?? It doesn't make sense? There was no time for him to catch feelings for him...And how does he just dismiss Toh's weird behavior?! I really didn't like the serie and dreaded each episode, I was hoping for it to get better at some point but it didn't. The side couples kind of sucked too kind of wanted at least a bit more of Intouch and Daisy though. I don't even get Som and that other dude lmfao. I definitely wanted more of Fon and Kongkwan though! Either way Nuea and Toh were a shitty couple in the serie and just didn't make sense to me.
Anyway, this serie was personally a huge waste of time for me, I rlly don't get how others love this serie but props to you ig...đź‘Ź
wish I could put 0 stars for everything but music, music deserves a 1 star lol

WASTE OF TIME
1. It's funny here and there.2. Obvious plot, story is so boring, I skipped a lot.
3. Bad acting.
4. Toh and his friends scenes - they tried to make it as funny as possible, i laughed a bit in the beginning but as it goes it started becoming annoying, i skipped every scene of Toh and his friends :]
5. If they don't have anything to progress in the storyline they all go to beach and play games, it become a thing in thai bls and it's annoying.
6. Toh character - annoying as hell, i felt like i wanna slap him in the face :)
7. Nuea character - does he even know what he is doing?
8. Side characters - waste, they don't have anything to do in the scene.
9. Only thing i liked is some OSTs while watching.
10. Just don't watch it and save your time.

You ain't seen nothing yet. XD
So it's been a while since I've watched a BL while it's airing. I always want all the episodes to be out before I start watching because I the waiting game. But SCOY is an exception. I watched the first episode when it came out, but then decided to wait a little before continuing.. but that didn't last long because I was back by the 3rd episode and now I'm stuck and I dont want to get unstuck lol.All thee characters are so well thought out and show their individuality so well. The best parts of the show is, the friendships (for both Nuea and Toh group) and how they get along with eachother. There is also the three couples that have such different dynamics. NueaToh are the crazy/horny/cant keep our hands and faces off each other feel; and SkyJao are the Cute/fluffy/pure/adorable feel while TouchDaisy are the butterflies, the one that made me emotional because of their interactions.
The character developments for the whole cast from episode one to now is just wonderful. The pace of this series is well made and of course the cringe/2nd hand embarrassment/Cute/fluffy/spicy/hot and heart fluttering scenes make this show #1 in my book. I have not laughed and fell for each character this much in such a long time, if at all.
I will continue to watch this series every Friday until the end. It's a series that I whole heartedly look forward to every week. I want to applaud the writer of this novel, Producer Saint, Director P'Cheewin and all the actors and actresses, all the staff and just everyone involved in this project that has kept us happy until now.

Don’t give up after the first two episodes!
After the first two episodes, I’m not gonna lie, I did not want to continue watching. I’m just not into the cringy, overly dramatic, hyper cutesy type of drama. But! I gave it a chance. And after I continued watching, I realized that this was an easter egg drama. What do I mean by that? I mean it presents this cute, cliché, cringy façade but it actually deals with a lot of serious topics.
I love how much representation is in this drama. As a lot of other reviews have probably suggested, it is one of the few popular BLs in the spotlight that portrays fem gays in roles that are not comic relief and also includes other LGBTQ+ couples. There are actual strong friendships, people respecting others pronouns, realistic feelings of anxiety tied with confidence or body positivity, and a lot of unconditional love.
I’m so glad I did not go with my gut feeling and abandon this drama. It has been so worth it.

Gets better with every episode
You just gotta trust the process, believe me. What started as a try-not-to-cringe-challenge turned out to be one of the best dramas for LGBTQIA+ representation I`ve ever seen. There were many times, especially during the first couple of episodes, where i was about to drop the show. But man am I glad I didn`t.There were so many important matters raised, and the way the characters solved their issues through communication and mutual understanding was very well done.
I loved that every character had their own problems and insecurities, adding depth to their personalities and their storylines. You wouldn`t believe it at the start of the show, but the characters end up being super relatable and authentic. The actors and actresses did a great job portraying their characters, making their actions and emotions feel natural and believable.
Besides the romantic relationship, the platonic friendships really did it for me. The pure care, love and support they were continuously giving each other were so beautiful, they really touched my heart.
It`s not perfect, and it sure has it`s flaws. But it`s totally worth a shot.

A Rom-Com at its Campy BEST.
I don’t usually write reviews, but this one deserves one. For anyone who dropped this series after one episode, or has not given it a chance, you’re seriously missing out.First thing to take into account is that this is most definitely a rom com. This is not dramatic in any way unless it’s making fun of drama, or the few wonderfully touching moments it touches on important topics. This is a very campy funny series that doesn’t try to be more than what it is: a story of 4 very “out of the norm” bffs that don’t need to change who they are to get the “big man” on campus.
Unlike the mayority of “ugly duckling” movies and tv shows, here the main lead does NOT change in order to get the hot guy. Toh is who he is and Nuea loves him as he is.
3 of the 4 main group of friends (the boys) all have insecurities (for which they are bullied) that are so well handled: all 3 have different body image issues, Toh not being (traditionally) handsome, Jan for his weight and Daisy’s gender identity.
The mains Nuea and Toh do suffer from a lot of miscommunication early on, as both believe the other is interested in another person, but their communication skills blossom beautifully. I give 10 stars to actors Billy and Seng for the scene near the end when Nuea discovers Toh’s secret boxes. These actors went all out with their emotions and tears.
Actress Looknam (Som) also brilliantly played the scene where Daisy tries to change who she is. Som defines what a true friend and ally is by supporting Daisy’s gender identity while also supporting their decision.
Really, every one of their insecurities are treated so gently and perfectly, and none of them is forced into being something they’re not in order to “get the guy”. The parents are supportive, loving, and flawed in their own ways, but still wonderful.
And the main couple’s chemistry is hot like burning. Nuea looks like he wants to eat Toh alive everytime they kiss, and they kiss a lot. I wish they didn’t pan to the side everytime they got to the sexy times, because with the chemistry between these two, my screen would be of fire.
To say that this show is the best bl series would be exaggerating. But for what it wants to be, a campy rom com, it IS perfect.

I Shouldve Known Better
All the bits in this go on for too long. In fact, the dialogue in general drags. I watched on 1.75x and it still felt like there was always too much time spent before letting a bit/joke/scene end, everything felt protracted and (considering how cringey this was obviously going to be with the premise) that really adds up to an unpleasant watching experience. If you've got a moderate to low tolerance for cringe, skip this one. It took me a minute to notice, but somewhere in episode two, my brain apparently just shut the fuck down to protect itself from critical levels of cringe. I was in part 2/4 and then I noticed I had taken in no information and was just staring blankly at the end of part 3/4. Like my eyes were watering, there is so much POTENT cringe every damn second. It's giving me heartburn. Indigestion. I didn't even know I was this weak to cringe but this is an unnecessarily strong brew jfcI feel like I've maybe shaved a year off the longevity of my heart and I also learned that you can tense your heart today. Or at least it felt like I did. I've never had a show make me so uncomfortable my face literally ached from how furrowed my brows were.
I cannot stress enough how much this drags, so I literally counted how many seconds it took for Toh to overreact to something. Nuea says something and Toh reacts for 20 SECONDS STRAIGHT. Before. Responding. This happens more than once in a conversation. Hell, more than thrice in one interaction between the two, it is excruciating.
I can jive with slapstick comedy and like.... anime anticsÂż but it feels like they weren't willing to let anything just end until they'd wrung all the life from it. The sheer amount of sound effects (horse neighing, "wow", bells, *!!!*) it's never ending and I think I'm in flight or fight mode rn??? Idk, I'm almost immune to the cringe at this point because my fear has evolved into anger, if only for self-protection. The constant heavy breathing when Nueas around oooooooh my fucking l o r d
I left to get cereal and getting back over to my phone felt like trying to put a cat in a bath, my body just didn't wanna get anywhere near it. Never once in my life have I rooted for the straight couple over the BL/GL, but I was rooting for Prao because Toh literally made me feel like I found a centipede crawling up my leg typa uncomfortable and creeped out. That's what his character is supposed to be, but at some point I had to wonder if there was any intention to make the character likable ever. And the music??? Why are we playing sad music when Toh doesn't get to be creepy???? Am I supposed to sympathise¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿
I blinked and two episodes passed but I don't remember them. I feel that I've aged in spirit. I'm going to drop this for my health, safety, and sanity.
Edit: I previously rated this a one but through the utter insanity of only finding absolutely awful series to watch lately, I decided to return to the trauma that is this one. I added a full star for the scene where Nuea appears naked for no reason because I spent about fifteen minutes straight laughing about it until I cried and my whole torso hurt.
Edit 2: its grown on me. Two more stars. Im understanding the cult favorite aspect because if you acclimate and survive the eye-watering cringe for long enough, it really is funny

An absolute hidden gem of a series!
So I was not at all planning to pick this up. The synopsis did not interest me, nor did the trailer, but on one random day when I had nothing to do, I decided to give this a shot, and boy am I glad I did. The first two episodes were a little hard to get through, but after that, this entire show was just such a delight.First, for the plot, it is not terribly deep or intriguing but I never felt like it was boring either. The point was to tell the story of various people discovering themselves and falling in love in the process and I think they did a great job with that.
What I absolutely loved though, was the characters. Every single one of them was so unique and dynamic. There wasn't a single time when I wished anyone would get off my screen or things would move along. Gosh, Toh was such a weird little bug, but Nuea was just as weird in his own way, and they were adorable together. In the first couple of episodes, I was creeped out by where I thought the story for them might be heading, but they ended up being super sweet and healthy, I was shocked. The character development was just *chef's kiss*!
And ugh, Sky and Jao!!!! I don't even know where to start with them. They made me squeal and cry and laugh, and I just couldn't get enough of them. Sky is a walking green flag, who knew what he wanted and did mess around to get it. I loved how he was so respectful of Jao's boundaries but still being straightforward and reassuring, that yes, Jao is the one he wants. Even when Jao gets insecure or unsure, he just listens to Jao's concerns and doesn't berate him or call him silly for having them, and I love that. And Jao, that sweet lil bean. Oh, I love him. I loved watching him grow from someone who hid away in corners, to someone who is openly able to express his affection, it was beautiful.
Of course, how can I not mention Intouch and Daisy???? They were so sweet!! AHHH!! Every time Touch saw Daisy, his smile would just light up the whole room. I am not kidding, it was blinding. And he was so respectful of Daisy and the way they identified themself, I was in awe. He wasn't ashamed or hiding his affection, and he made sure Daisy knew that. He made sure Daisy was unafraid to be themself, and I almost cried every time I saw them together. I really really wish they had more screen time because they deserve it! Here's to hoping for a spin-off.
I also need to talk about Toh and his group of friends! I just, I don't think I have ever seen a more supportive loving group of friends. They really were a found family, and you can see it in the way they really cared for each other. There was this one scene where Som (whom I freaking love, omg, like the coolest chick ever) was telling Daisy not to force themselves to be anything they don't want to be, and I was in tears. It was probably, the highlight of the series for me.
Other than the characters, what I really really really loved though, was the representation. This is an example of how a show can do it right. Where the gay or trans characters are not a plot device or comedic relief, but real people with real feelings, who deserve to have their stories told. It wasn't preachy or weird, it was just there and natural and beautiful.
I do have to say though, that as much as I loved this show, each hour-long episode took me two to watch, because of how much I had to pause or rewind. I don't think I have ever watched a show that gave me as much second-hand embarrassment as this one. Not even 'Fish Upon the Sky'. I even think my immunity and ability to watch embarrassing moments went down not up lol. That being said though, I do not regret watching this one bit. It was a joy to watch, even if I was watching through my fingers.

Don’t let the first episode scare you off.
This had a very cute, weird but cute, story concept. I started watching this with the mindset of a sitcom. I know it’s a comedy, but watching it as a sitcom made it more enjoyable for me. Although it had a few weak points, the script was very different and uplifting. The first episode is a little bizarre due to the heavy stalker element of Toh. However, this element is toned down in following episodes. I usually don’t like series with a big cast, but they did a good job with keeping you interested. I actually remember who they were and started to care about them. The group dynamics of both groups was great and they were very supportive of each other. Their teasing can get a little out of hand at times, but they were always there when someone needed it. The actors were incredible and did a great job making you care about their characters.Random Note (Added on 3/4/2023): I strongly recommend watching this on Idol Factory’s YouTube channel, if you can, instead of Viki because the English subtitles on their channel is definitely a lot better than the ones on Viki.

One of the Best Sleeper HIts
I was going to pass on this because I thought it was going to be a zany comedy, full of sound effects and idiocy. I was wrong. I think that Secret Crush on You (SCOY) is one of the best series made. It shows excepting your flaws, being open to love with an unexpected person, This series also focuses on the bonds of friendship and being there for each other. The major strengths in my opinion were that Nuea treated Toh just like he would a female partner (meaning gender wasn't an issue). He took Toh home to meet his family, and the family accepted him. Later, Toh took Nuea to meet his family. Toh had already told his mother about Nuea being his boyfriend, so the parents knew about their relationship before Nuea met them. Yes, there was some "drama" but it ended up being as quirky as the rest of this series is.
I was somewhat disappointed that Daisy turned out to be transgender, rather than a fem man. I think that BL at times creates too many straight passing, gym bodied men, and the industry doesn't pay proper homage to the fem gay man. I loved the character Daisy, but spent most of the series thinking she was a man, only to later learn that she is trans. I still love Daisy, though.
My favorite character was Toh. To me, Toh is the person who is saying aloud what many of us experienced during adolescence. I think this is why many people find Toh very cringy, because he reminds us of our most cringiest thoughts and behaviors while growing up.
I will rewatch this series because I love all of the characters, the friendships and the relationships.

WHYYY???
WHY is it that some people told me not to watch it because it would ruin my BL watching streak? Like this is the kind of SHOW that I LOVE. Non toxic, open communication, The underdog in other series becoming the Main "dog" I guess lol. But honestly why are some making this show seem like the worst thing ever created when it is the most heart warming and Loving and just beautiful series that I have never ever expected from BL before? Are we so into toxic masculinity and aggressive relationships in BL that we can't appreciate when we are given such a beautiful story? Also wtf is going on with the rating on here? There are so many shows that deserve low ratings but This series is not one of them. Y'all need to fix this! WTH! Anyways, I suggest for everyone to start watching it before y'all decide to not like it because there are so many that I've seen talk about how the premise of this series is not their cup of tea when they have not even started watching it! It's embarrassing.

ONE OF THE BEST BL SERIES 2022, UNIQUE FUNNNY AND INTRESTING COUPLES THAT ACTUALLY COMMUNICATE.
The story might be weird which makes viewers skip the movie but the actors nailed it especially seng he was able to play and capture the character Toh which I believe would have been genuinely hard. The story is extremely cringed (that's the whole charm ) If you are not afraid to break the boundary of stereotypes then this movie is for you.
My best couple is the main couple NEAU and TOH, they are just unique and when they started dating I truly respected and loved them because of the way they communicate unlike other bl couples their misunderstanding hardly last for 30 minutes before they solve and apologize to one another. They understand each other even without talking and they voice their complaint if they don't like what their partner is doing.
I have watched many bl series but this series has a special place in my heart no matter how cringe it is because that is the genre of Romantic- comedy, second-hand embarrassment, lighthearted that will make you laugh your heart out.
It gets better with each ep just survive the first three ep and you will later like the character Toh. There are also many beautiful normal couples like DAISY and IN-TOUCH and SKYJAO. We have the weird couple, the pure couple, and the cute visual couple.
Also, the friendship in this series is epic both in Toh's gang and Nuea's gang.
I binge-watched it even after watching all the episodes.
