A wisp more than a breeze
Too much of the already short total runtime was used up by Do Hyun being angry at Dong Wook. The parts where they finally got to their dating bliss was so brief. I do like the part where they hinted they were interested at more intense couple activities outside of just their sweet couple moments. I really like their fun friend Hye In and it was just enough of the other friend that pined after Do Hyun, but respected the fact that he is not the one for Do Hyun. Was this review helpful to you?

not the best, but not the worst
This was okay, I fast forward sometimes.I love the chemistry and the tension, the gay panic too. The leads were good and a good pairing. But what was with the kissing scenes? I think the best one was the first one and it was okay. Such weird angles, if they don’t want to show the kiss or the actors doesn’t want to kiss, than don’t add it. It is just weird to watch. I found that weird since it didn’t really seems like fish kiss either.
I hate misunderstanding trope and I didn’t appreciate the story that much, also as always to short and we don’t see a lot of things with the relationship. I got tired of Korean BL, because now it annoys me how short it is… I only got a few ones I really love and I don’t really watch Korean BL anymore, but I felt like watch one tonight.
Also, forget his name, but the guy who left, was kinda an ass, took him so long to explain. Fell bad for the other guy.
The friend in love with one of the leads was handsome and kind. Glad he didn’t confess or anything, finally someone with a brain and understood. Not the annoying type second lead. But like why at the very end, they kinda introduce a love interest for him. They don’t even show his face??? the fuck. and like not that necessary, because we want more and we will never get it…
Anyway, that was an okay watch, but won’t watch again.

Im happy I got to watch it !
Ive watched this drama after I watched The eight sense , They are both amazing! This drama is the fluffy and heartwarming but at the same time hart-wrenching BL,
The tension in this series is on ANOTHER level! Its not the sexual tension you would expect, its just tension.
The way both characters look at each other you can feel the longing in their eyes.
I have a tendency to binge watch 14 hours of a BL in one day but i savored every episode of this, yeah it was not that pulling to watch episode after episode but I enjoyed it.
I watched a few episodes and saved others for another day, over all I loved this series, It was just not as pulling ( ina sense it pulled you to watch) as I imagined it would be ,
Is it a must watch ? No
do I recommend it? Yes
Is it for everyone ? No, but it is for most !

PWP?
The actors were absolutely gorgeous and they did the best with what was given. The acting was adequate. MC Do Hyun was a particularly endearing character. He was feisty, but very kind and sweet. ML Dong Wook was a frustrating one. He broke poor Do Hyun's heart when he abruptly left without an explanation. 5 years later, he just barged back into Do Hyun's life and just expected Do Hyun to accept him back despite still, not giving any reasons/explanations. Foolish lovelorn Do Hyun pretty much did just that! So happy he was, with the crumbs of affection offered to him, that he just let Dong Wook walked all over him.5 years! Do Hyun had this sweet gorgeous friend pining for him all that time and nothing came of it. What a waste! That poor sweet friend was in unrequited love with Do Hyun for years and for what? It didn't add anything to the plot. It was distracting if anything.
Anyway, Dong Wook; so he found himself a human sleeping pill, someone that helped him get some sleep. Not only that, someone who he liked a lot, allegedly, and he just walked away from that! Not just walked away, he had to coldly broke the poor boy's heart (the person he claimed to like) before he left, for no good reason!
So what happened during the five years separation? Did Dong Wook managed to sleep? Apparently not! How does one survive for 5 years without sleep? And during those five years did he not think of seeking Do Hyun to explain everything and ask for reconciliation and ask for help with his insomnia? It seemed Do Hyun was his only cure. So if he didn't serendipitously met Do Hyun again, he would go the rest of his life without sleep? *Sigh* I just can't get over this major plot device not being delved into more deeply.
So overall: The plot/story awful, the actors gorgeous, the acting decent, the chemistry sweet.
No steamy scenes just a couple of sweet kisses.

But like, why couldn't he sleep?
I really enjoyed the acting and the chemistry between the two actors. The overall conflict was really intriguing I just kept waiting and waiting for them to explain why this dude couldn't sleep any they never did. Like I get that some people just have insomnia, but I jus really wish there had been a reason. I love Korean BLs, like they are literally my favorite, so I get that the episodes are short and there are only six to eight episodes, ten if they're being generous, but this was one that I feel really needed more episodes to really flush out the story.I personally wouldn't re-watch, but it is one I would recommend just because the chemistry between the two leads was giving.

A Breeze of Love: A Refreshing and Intimate BL
"A Breeze of Love" is a charming South Korean BL series that aired in late 2023, featuring 8 episodes, each about 18 minutes long. Directed by and starring Shin Jeeong You as Ban Dong Wook, alongside Woo Ji Han as Lee Do Hyun, the story is adapted from the webtoon "Weather Forecast Love." The plot revolves around Do Hyun, the captain of a basketball team, who reunites with his first love, Dong Wook, after years apart. Their reunion is sparked by Dong Wook filling in for an injured teammate, and it doesn’t take long for old feelings to resurface. The series kicks off with a fairly straightforward premise, keeping things simple but effective, given its short runtime. The pacing is spot-on, focusing mostly on the main leads and giving them ample time to develop their story. Despite the limited episodes, the narrative flows smoothly, never feeling rushed, and maintains a good balance between the romantic tension and lighthearted moments.
One of the standout aspects of this show is its lovely cinematography—typical of K-drama productions—with soft lighting and close-up shots that really capture the intimacy between the characters. The chemistry between the leads is undeniable, though it leans a bit more into the angsty side, especially with the recurring theme of Dong Wook relying on Do Hyun as his “sleeping pill.” It’s a bit melodramatic at times, with scenes of rain-drenched confessions and sports sequences, but it works well within the genre.
I have to give a nod to the attractive cast—Shin Jeeong You and Woo Ji Han are both incredibly charismatic, and their performances help carry the emotional weight of the story. It’s refreshing to see more K-pop idols like them venturing into the BL genre, and hopefully, it's not just a trend. Woo Ji Han, in particular, shines with his charm, making it easy to root for his character. The side characters, while not overexposed, add a nice touch to the story, and I was pleased to see Seung Joo get his happy ending. It’s also great that the finale gave us a whole episode to enjoy the leads as a couple, which is something a lot of BL dramas tend to rush through.
From the very first episode, the series pulls you in with its beautifully shot scenes and solid performances. The close-ups, lighting, and overall direction are quintessential K-romance, and the chemistry between the leads is palpable. The show’s quiet moments are where it really shines, with lingering glances and subtle touches that speak volumes without the need for heavy dialogue. It’s these delicate moments that build the tension and keep you invested in their journey.
For anyone who enjoys a short but sweet series with a blend of yearning, angst, and soft romance, "A Breeze of Love" is definitely worth a watch. It’s a lovely escape with aesthetically pleasing cinematography and a story that, while simple, tugs at your heartstrings in all the right ways. If you’re into BL dramas that focus on character-driven stories with emotional depth, this one’s a solid choice.

This is so cute
I never thought I'd love to watch gays playing basketball this much. Dong Wook is so fucking handsome. If I were Dong Hyun I'd be head over heels for him too. I absolutely love the simple storyline and the flashbacks. While watching the flashbacks I created so many theories about their past so I really loved it and it kept me a lot more entertained to know what had happened between them. The female lead is the exact type of annoying person that I hate but I'm glad she was annoying like that, we gotta admit that if she wasn't that annoying they wouldn't be together. Was this review helpful to you?

Breeze of love Nahhh more like harsh rainstorm.
Ok what was even this bl. When they first announced it's release I was really excited. It seemed like a fun plot but what I saw was a disaster. I feel the only saving grace of the show was the basketball, lee dohyun's eyebrows and the best friend. The insomnia wasn't even explored much. They had major communication problems. Ban dongwook was weird. To me it almost seemed like if boy found another human sleeping pill he would have no hesitation in leaving lee dohyun. Also who the fuck goes around saying that they just want to sleep with someone.
And pleaseeeeee this whole "I am leaving you, but I won't tell you why but I do wish you understand me when I come to you declaring my love after years" Is overused now. Writers do better.
Props to lee dohyun I mean he must have loved pan dongwook a little too much because if it was me I would kick him in the nuts and tell him to keep finding the reason by himself.
All in all the show that could have been good turned out to be something that I don't even wanna remember. Hell I skipped through the last episode and somehow just finished it for the sake of completely a show.

Rewriting Standards, Simple, Short but Heartfelt
This BL KDrama surprised me in many ways. It's a 15-min long per episode that feels so complete. I couldnt imagine an episode can do so either but yes, it delivers! I love how straightforward it was. Have conflicts just any other drama plot out there and a few cute, lovely scenes that will surely hit you right to the core, felt pain and joy watching this drama. It even have flashbacks! Yes, they squeezed it in and found the right placement each episode. The lead actors are commendable for their portrayals. I need a lot of their couple chemistry badly right now. I love them so much! I never thought I will still find a BL drama I will recommend so much just like ITSAY, 1000 stars, Color Rush or Semantic Error.. but this show proved me wrong a thousand folds. A true statement of simplicity is beauty. Was this review helpful to you?
BREATH OF FRESH AIR
I came across "A Breeze of Love" on Tiktok, and considering I've already watched 43 Korean BLs just this year, my options will either be to venture again with Thai BLs or just wait for any Korean BL releases this year or next year.To be honest, the pacing of the drama is "okay-ish" since the main focus is the main leads and their story. But considering how limited the run time is, especially for Korean BLs, they didn't manage to squeeze in any back story aside from the short flashbacks here and there.
1. The cinematography is great; there are some hiccups on some parts (and that's me nitpicking).
2. The plot is open for improvement.
3. The OST songs threw me off on some scenes; there are parts of the scene that really didn't require any emotional music, but I could accept their creative choices.
4. The run time could've easily been extended to ten episodes. This will focus more on understanding what happened after they became a couple.
This drama did not offer anything new (especially on the kinds of KBLs released this year), but you wouldn't hold it against them because, at the end of the day, a good drama will stand without any gimmicks.
Recovering from Bump Up Business, A Breeze of Love did end up meeting my expectations—a simple breath of fresh air.
Not too overcomplicated, just a good Korean BL.
