Roller-coaster feeling
It's my first review about a drama so if I made any mistake please forgive me. First of all the storyline describes the drama well. The cast was amazing. You can feel every emotion. I usually don't watch melodrama cause I like comedy a lot. At first I thought I would not watch it but still I gave it a shot. It's not your typical idol type drama where the male lead is very popular and is surrounded by a lot of girls even though he is intelligent and handsome. The female lead is pretty, smart and talented in dancing. Those supporting roles played very well. What I liked is:1.Good storyline.
2.Fabulous acting.
3.Drama fitting ost.
Now let me tell you a bit of this drama. It was love at first sight for the male lead. This drama reveals the dark side of reality and love. It also reveals the dark side of entertainment industry.Being born in a rich family doesn't mean that you have everything cuse you need your parents affection while growing up.Love is always not so sweet, sometimes it's hard, painful and filled with jealousy. Sometimes it's unrequited. Even though after all of this love can heal each other.I wanted to give a lot of spoilers but I didn't cause then you might probably become less curious of this drama. Overall even if you don't like melodrama a lot you can watch this cause it's really heart touching and you might feel like you are riding a Roller-coaster. Whatever happened in the middle the ending episode was the most beautiful.

Best Romance C-drama of 2021
Despite being lead actors for first time, the 2 main lead did really well portraying their characters. The story is packed with real life couple situations with lots of teary moments. It is very heartbreaking to watch how their love progress as the drama goes. But, at the same time, the love they showered for each other is beyond words. It is literally the greatest love I have seen from all the dramas I have watched.
Overall, it is a romance drama worth re-watching again and again

two broken souls, unable to heal each other the correct way
major spoilers ahead, read at your own risk.this drama just feels like a vicious cycle, even until the end. the synopsis mentioned that the characters will heal each other, but did they really?
for the first 8 eps, push & pull between the two leads, and it’s a bit hard to understand how the male lead just fell for the female lead at first sight and became so clingy, almost obsessed with the female lead (which he probably did become obsessed in the later episodes)
and then from ep 9-18, it’s a cycle of, he gets jealous — she gets angry about it — he apologises — she forgives — they make out — repeat … it feels like they just settle things with kisses, or violence. considering the fact that he uses violence as an outlet to handle his anger, i’m surprised that he isn’t suspended from school :/ also, his favourite line is, “i know i’m at fault, i’m sorry, i won’t do it anymore” yet, he does it again the next time they had an argument, there isn’t any progress in the plot at all.
also, this drama is full of villains, making me wonder if there is anyone who is decent at all in this drama. clingy ex-boyf, vengeful friend, vengeful ex-boyf’s manager, horrible mother. please, with this number of people who are constantly hurting others, how are they able to heal. the only person who is nice in the drama is probably their friends & the professors.
finally the last part of the drama, ep 19-24, they finally found out that he is actually sick and his mental health has been affected due to his upbringing. yet, it doesn’t seem as if the psychologist has helped him in anyway, he should really get proper therapy on it. the girl tried to heal him, but it obviously didn’t work bc up till the last episode, he still cried and thinks that she’s leaving him, and that she hates him bc of his illness??? then he went overseas to further his studies bc he wanted to be a good child to his mother, and then when he’s back after 3 years, he’s miraculously healed??? and isn’t he still stalkish is a way that he keeps checking up on her activities by coming back to her place and hide in the dark to see her.
idk man, all in all, i feel like the entire plot has issue, the synopsis is not a good representation of what goes on. i wished they had actually worked on his mental health, and showed us the progress, and not just tell us that he’s healed after 3 years but not knowing how it happened.
for the friends, it’s kind of regretful, but at least i learned something from ruoshen and xiaoyun. love can’t be forced. they both have different values and goals in life, which resulted in them going different ways in life. like cheng feng said, “you’re both not in the wrong, it’s just that you’re seeing the same thing in different perspectives” — guess that’s my biggest takeaway from this drama but well, at least cheng feng really did go through therapy and walked out of her trauma with the help of jiang dian…
i guess you can watch this drama if you’re here for the kisses, they literally kiss every single episode (i feel), which is cute in a way that the production team isn’t afraid of showing these scenes. but this is a show that i wouldn’t recommend if you’re here for the plot.

Amazing cast, poor plot
This cast is honestly amazing! Both the main leads portrayed their characters very well and everything was very well acted. The flaws about this drama would most definitely be the plot and character developments. It seems very choppy and some scenes may be hard to understand. The male lead had very poor character development 95% of the drama. But the last 10-20 mins of the drama is very touching and the male leads character development was good but at the same time, it felt kind of rushed. I would only recommend u watch if you have a lot of free time on ur hands or a stable heart because this drama is quite angsty lolWas this review helpful to you?
**Trigger Warning **
Okay, so my review will basically be a rewrite of the description, because... WOW.Cheng Feng is a bookshop owner who is forced to give up on her dream to become a dancer following trauma incited by her ex. She becomes withdrawn and cold. One day a young college guy, Jiang Dian finds his way into her home sees her dancing and falls in love at first sight. He pursues her hardily. It is soon discovered that he has a mental disorder and he becomes abusive. This continues for 22 episode, there are 24 in total.
I have never been physically abused in a relationship and I never understood why people stay. This show actually took me through that journey, because along with the FL, i also thought he would change. I now see how that can easily happen. I got sucked in by him, I should've known he was bad news just by the way he pursued her, but I still rooted for him. I am almost ashamed to say I enjoyed the show, but I kind of did, shockingly!! Maybe because they gave me more passion than any show I've seen. I just hope someone who needed to read this review before the show, got to see this. I couldn't give stars on STORY bc I still don't know how I feel about it overall. [Actually, they're making me rate it, so for now, ignore my rating I'm going with how I feel 15mins after finishing the drama]

Disturbing Drama
When i started this drama i felt the plot was unique and different from the cute C drama rom coms. The FL's character was shown as strong and cold in the start which is the case with most MLs in the dramas. But i was WRONG!!! This was the worst C drama of the year. The ML was so good to her in the starting and started to harass her physically towards the end just because she was just talking to her ex.. Also he cannot understand that she was meeting her ex just because of her job and make a fuss abt it daily. WTF!!!And the FL just bears all this because he was facing some psychological issues. The writers of this dramas created an awesome excuse for the stupid and toxic behaviors of all characters: "PSYCHOLOGICAL ISSUES" . I mean, ppl may have mental issues but that doesn't mean they can behave rudely with whomever they like and do whatever they want. The ML's mom is mean and domineering to him because she had a unhappy married life. The FL is cold and rude in the start coz she had a trauma from past. The FL turns into a jerk because he didn't receive love from parents in his childhood.
It was really disturbing to watch the ML physically forcing himself on the FL in the name of love. I hate how childish he was and she still accepted him.. Now for me he is one of the worst male leads in dramas.
I don't recommend this drama to anyone and if somebody is currently watching it and wondering whether to continue or not, i suggest DROP IT!!

The storyline messed it up all.....
(EDIT: Umm this review spoils a lot lol.)Storyline:- (spoiler alert) The ML falls in love with the FL at first sight. However, for the few episodes the female leads behaves coldly with him. Also the female lead was having a trauma from the past. Later on she heals from it. And because of the persistence of the ML she decides to not step back anymore and finally makes a confession. Till then everything seemed to be well and good. But then.....
Its revealed later on that the ML is suffering from some psycological issues. He starts physically abusing the FL (violence and forced kisses). Even after that the FL decides to help him and stick with him. But the ML stops taking his medicines, behaved violently with her whenever she meets the SML. I mean its not that she goes to him because she likes him? Its because of her work or some other important issues. Yet the ML never understood the FL. Having mental issues is okay but behaving like this is not. He used violence and the next moment he used to apologise for it. But then again he did it!! This thing continued for quite some eps. Finally on ep 23 they decide to seperate and the ML goes for managing his business. Then ep 24, they finally meet again. The ML matures a lil bit i guess. And then its a happy ending!
SML- He literally went to any extent in order to get the FL. Even though she made it clear enough that she does not wants to get back. Yet he never stopped harassing her. On ep 23 or 22 something he finally gets what he deserves.
Evil friend of the FL- Oh!? Her!? Okay, so she literally at first seemed to be a good friend. Until we saw how good she really is... She was jealous of the FL... Because of some accident she lost her leg.. And framed the FL for it. The truth eventually comes out but she was pretty annoying.
FL- She had an accident in her past. That caused her some trauma. Later on she does heals. When she gets to know that the ML never got love from his parents.. She decides to care for him and love him. She assures the ML again and again that she genuinely likes him but until the end he thought that the FL wanted to leave him because of his mental illness.
ML- I already said about him in the storyline. He had a lot of flaws. But the ML portrayed his role properly. I liked his acting. At the end he finally changed. He healed. And the couple finally have a happy ending.
There were other annoying characters like the ML's mom.
If i could choose some proper characters then it probably would be the professor of the ML. And the secondary characters. They had their own story. And even though their ending did not had the usual we need to end up together happy ending but it still was happy. At the end all chose their respective path in life. Finally in ep 24 we see all the characters together and the ending was good!
Rewatch value :- I dont think i will rewatch it again. Its a one time watch only.
Overall - 6.5 maybe? The couple have a lot of kiss scenes(some are not good).. And they have some sweet scenes too. But the storyline could have been much better!

Be aware of Triggers
Okay, this drama has gone from cute to trigger warning real quick.I'll try to keep the spoilers to a minimum but I think people should be warned before starting this drama thinking it'll be fluffy (like I did).
So this drama is about a man/boy, who is in college, who falls for an slightly older woman, a dancer who gave up being a dancer, who is now a coffee shop owner.
For him is love at first sight, for her it's love at his, annoying, persistence. Till here it's all fun and games, until you meet his mom.
The women is nuts. If you look up the word controlling at the dictionary, you'll find her name (she became one os my most hated characters).
She's so unbelievable toxic that she acts like a crazy tug, not like a ceo/company owner. It's bizarre and 110% unhealthy.
Then you have the male lead, who becomes extremely aggressive/possessive and thinks the only way to solve problems is by violence.
(A positive thing about the drama is that they touch on the mental health conversation, however it's extremely superficial and dumb, but, well better than nothing).
So here I am, with a crazy ML, thinking:
- Girl (FL), run for the hills. Seriously, dump him and his bad behavior and move on. This is toxic and you need help. (And in RL you'd probably end up dead).
She supposedly has 2 BFF but they are like:
- Oh Hun, he is immature...
Me watching the drama unfold:
- For the love of god... -_-' this is dangerous!
Since I love angst, I'm finishing this thing and then closing this review.
I just finished and it's bad. I actually like the main actors but the drama is rubbish. The psychological aspects of the drama, as excuses for crazy behavior is awful.

It was ok
I thought it was a good drama I also fast forward a lot of scenes that I felt was boring yes the drama touch me a lot cause I also have mental issues and some scenes made me more emotional than others would have felt I thought that the actors did a good job with there roles I do wish we get a spin off for Bao Ling and Rou Shen I kind of want to know what happens to him and her if they get together how did he become and idol like so many questions but I hate the fact that the episodes all the way up to 24 were flash backs it could have done so much better if half of it was flash backs and the rest giving us what happens to them getting back together and also showing us how roushen becomes an idol again I don't think it was a waste of time to watch I do recommend people watch it and give there honest opinions on it then only seeing half of the drama and dropping it I also would say that this drama will be on my like list for dramas unfortunately it didn't make it to my favorite listWas this review helpful to you?

Its not your typical drama
Please don’t read if you don’t want spoilersI liked this, I really liked this! Its not your typical idol drama. I love obsessive male leads and this one nailed it. I also like how the FL is beautiful and smart, most importantly she is mature. Im sorry but Im liking the typical cry baby FL much less nowadays. I liked how devoted they are to each other. Best of all, it had a happy ending!
One thing too is that the acting was all on par. Kudos to the actors!
All in all, a good drama for me!

Overall outlook !
This drama is one where you think its either very bad or very good. My personal opinion was it wasnt too bad. I saw one review where someone mentioned too many kissing scenes. From a female perspective i dont think having too many kissing scenes is a problem haha, if anything i think more dramas should have more kissing scenes but each to thier own.All in all this drama to me was a bit cheesy but it had a lot of cute scenes. Yes the guy was a bit obsessive and the girl had her personal issues, but i personally feel the screenwriter was trying to portray the life of people who suffer from such disabilities. Dont look at the drama as your supposedly 'love sweet romance' genre , but look at it as a whole for those who go through such illnesses and the journey they take to try and overcome thier demons.
