Both are about a man using his supernatural abilities to solve cases. In Cheo yong, it's a detective whereas in Vampire Prosecutor ... well it's obviously a prosecutor. Both are short dramas ( 12 episodes for VP and with a second season).

Both dramas are made by OCN, so they have a very similar feel. Both dramas are about law officials investigating a serial murder that has connections to the main leads. Though Ghost-Seeing Detective Cheo Yong is supernatural in it's content, it doesn't veer far from the suspense and mystery of Reset.

Both shows are about a detective who sees ghosts of the victims. The ghosts help in the investigations. In both shows the mood is a bit on a dark side.
The main difference pretty much is that BORDER is a Japanese show while Ghost-Seeing Detective Cheo Yong is a Korean one... with all the usual consequences. Also, the ending [which I am not going to spoil here] is not really similar. Otherwise, pretty decent ghost detective stories, both of them.

Both drama had similar main character types that carried certain roles; in The Guest, Hwapyung was the one with the psychic abilities, Yoon was the one mainly tasked with the exorcism and Kilyoung was the detective that allowed them to investigate crimes commited by the possessed people. In Cheoyong, he was the one taking up the role of a psychic, exorcist and detective with an extra help from a lost ghost and a team of detectives.

Both dramas had the main characters hunting the main evil spirit that was the cause of every incident in the drama. Also, in Cheo Yong season 2, the actor Kim Dongwook who played as Yun Hwapyung in the Guest played a character who ended up being possessed by evil spirits and kill people.

Both are ghosts stories.
"Bring It On, Ghost" is a tvN drama. While quite creepy sometimes, it has a romance story which makes it refreshing.
"Cheo Yong" is an OCN drama. It is a police drama without romance in it. A ghost student, a girl as well, helps a policeman solve his cases. Very enjoyable and creepy as well ;)

Both the dramas have some relation in the supernatural happenings. Where as in Signal regarding the messages with the past and in Cheo Yong in relation to the ghosts. Both focus on solving crimes in the society.

Yoon Cheo Yong has been able to see ghosts since birth. Once the ace of the violent crimes unit, seven years ago, he lost both his family and his partner in a traumatic incident that caused him to quit his department. Now he works as a district cop, but without any interest or will to engage with the world; “starved for love,” he’s completely lonely. Then one day, he accidentally talks back to the ghost of a high school girl, and things get complicated. The show follows Cheo Yong as he works with his female detective partner and that ghost girl to solve mysterious cases!
