Honestly, it wasn’t my piece of cake. I’ve seen the same plot many times and when the story itself isn’t developed much beyond that it stays pretty simple and a bit boring. I liked the actors and their acting but I think the characters could have been developed better especially Duang. His character felt too clingy, which became a bit overdone and exhausting to watch. I also think Duang would have been more interesting if the series had explored more of his own personal goals interests hobbies and qualities instead of having so much of his character revolve around Qin.

This was cute, what else can I say?

It took me a little while to start watching... I'm afraid I'm not a huge fan of Domundi's series, but I watched it because of the hype.

Overall
This series is definitely for the fluffy-series lovers; the story is sweet, the characters are charming and the humor is fun. if you're looking for something more complex or mature maybe this is not for you.

Through the first episodes, the series is entertaining and fun to watch. The pacing is calm, there isn't any annoying or unnecessary drama.

I liked that most of the characters are total green flags, Duang, while chasing Quin, always respected his boundaries and never harassed him, like it often happens in some other bl series. Also Duang and Quin's friends were very supportive of them, they have an endering and healthy relationship.

The subplot of Qin's childhood trauma was very interesting to watch, it gave depth to the series, and it helped us to understand Qin's character better.

The intimate scenes were surprisingly well-performed, they were sensual, but not highly erotic or spicy, and the skinship through the series felt natural and cute.


Notes and things I didn't like:

At the beginning I thought they made Duang's character too unrealistic and stupid, but from middle to end of the story he seemed to return to sanity.

There some things that could be cringy for some people. Particularly for me all the Chucky costume strategy to get Qin's attention was painful to watch.

The pacing might be a little slow and not that exciting, but for me was okay; it was fresh and nice to watch.

I really liked the dynamic of Duang and Qin's friends, and I would have liked better if they had given us more scenes of them together and developed the story of Jamie and Marvis more. Still I understand the main focus was romance and not friendship :(

Cute, Chaotic, and Completely Addictive

This is a sweet, funny and incredibly easy-to-watch university BL that doesn't try to reinvent the genre. Instead, it takes a familiar setup and fills it with enough charm, chaos and genuinely lovable characters to make it work.
The story follows Duang, an energetic and hopelessly enthusiastic university student who immediately falls for Qin, a popular but incredibly reserved music student. While Duang has absolutely no intention of hiding his feelings, Qin is basically the human equivalent of a locked door. So naturally, Duang decides that the only reasonable thing to do is to keep knocking until Qin lets him in. And honestly? Watching him try is half the fun.

Duang could have been an extremely annoying character. He is loud, dramatic, impulsive, ridiculously optimistic and completely incapable of hiding how he feels about Qin. But somehow, it works. His exaggerated reactions, silly plans and endless determination to win Qin over gave the drama most of its comedic energy. Yes, sometimes Duang is a lot. But that's exactly what makes him Duang. And what I appreciated even more is that beneath all the comedy, he's actually a genuinely good person. He's sincere. He's supportive. He's affectionate without being ashamed of it. And most importantly, he doesn't give up on Qin simply because Qin isn't immediately capable of giving him what he wants.

If Duang is sunshine at maximum brightness, Qin is basically a rainy day. He's quiet, guarded and emotionally difficult to read.
At first, it can be tempting to think that he's simply cold or uninterested, but the drama slowly reveals that there is much more going on underneath. Qin has learned to keep people at a distance, and watching those walls gradually come down was one of my favorite parts of the story.
I particularly liked that the drama doesn't suddenly transform him into a completely different person once he falls for Duang.
He's still reserved. He's still cautious. He still struggles with expressing what he feels. But little by little, he starts allowing Duang into his world.

Duang is constantly moving toward Qin, while Qin spends half the drama wondering what on earth to do with this human ray of sunshine who has decided to make him the center of his universe. The contrast between them creates most of the comedy, but it also gives the romance its emotional foundation. Their chemistry isn't based solely on physical attraction.It's in the little things. The looks. The awkward pauses. The moments when Qin starts smiling without realizing it. And, most importantly, the way their relationship gradually becomes less about Duang chasing Qin and more about Qin choosing to let Duang stay.

I genuinely laughed a lot while watching this. The comedy is intentionally exaggerated, with physical humor, dramatic reactions, playful sound effects and Duang's increasingly ridiculous attempts to get closer to Qin.
Some of it is completely absurd. And that's exactly why it works.
Duang's friends are also a huge part of this. Jamie and Pae are basically the supportive friends everyone needs when you're making terrible romantic decisions. They know Duang is probably being ridiculous. They encourage him anyway.

One of the things I appreciated most is how gradually the relationship changes both characters. Duang starts out believing that persistence is enough. Qin starts out believing that keeping people away is safer. Neither of them is completely right.
As they grow closer, Duang learns that loving someone also means understanding their boundaries and their emotional needs.
Qin learns that accepting affection isn't a weakness. Their relationship therefore becomes more than just "sunshine character falls for cold character." They actually make each other better.

Duang With You is sweet, funny, warm and surprisingly comforting.
Sometimes you need to watch a ridiculously enthusiastic guy fall hopelessly in love with a beautiful, emotionally unavailable musician and spend twelve episodes making everyone around him deal with it.
It's cute without being completely empty, funny without taking away from the emotional moments, and romantic without needing to constantly manufacture unnecessary drama.

CUTEEE!!!

Firstly, the characters in this were very cute! I loved the relationship between Duang and Qin (I am a sucker for any sun/moon ships, lol). Each of them were interesting and complex. Also, Duang's friendship with Jamie and Pae was adorable. I wish we saw more with them (especially Pae).

Jamie and Mars were also adorable. I want to see their relationship expanded.

However, the sound effects annoyed me, particularly at the beginning of the show. I feel like they were overdone and limited my enjoyment of the show. If it wasn't for how high the score was for this show, I probably wouldn't have continued it.

That being said, the plot was amazing. As the show progressed, it got more grounded. Qin's storyline was particularly moving.

Overall, a very cute show that I recommend for any enjoyers of bl. Just know that it gets better and better!!

Duang with You — A Love Story About Never Giving Up

What I loved most about Duang with You is that it isn't simply a romance. At its heart, it's a story about perseverance. It's about refusing to give up on someone you genuinely care about, even when things don't go the way you hoped. That message gives the drama much more depth than the average university BL and makes the romance feel earned instead of rushed.

The story is simple, but it knows exactly what it wants to tell. Rather than relying on endless misunderstandings or unnecessary drama, it focuses on the small moments that slowly bring two people closer together. Every setback only makes the relationship stronger, and that's what kept me emotionally invested until the very end.

The cast is absolutely adorable.

TeeTee has the kind of smile that could melt almost anyone. His enthusiasm and sincerity make Duang impossible not to love, and he carries the optimism of the story perfectly. Por, on the other hand, has an incredibly youthful face. Even though both actors are in their early twenties, they look so young that some of the more intimate scenes almost make you forget they're adults. Their innocence becomes part of their charm and gives the romance a sweetness that feels completely natural.

What I also liked is that their relationship never feels locked into traditional expectations. Their personalities complement each other so well that I could easily imagine them as a truly versatile couple, with neither one defined by a fixed role in their relationship. That balance fits the way their romance develops throughout the series and makes them feel like genuine equals.

The production is equally charming. The university setting is colourful without becoming unrealistic, the cinematography matches the warm atmosphere, and the soundtrack quietly supports the emotional scenes. Nothing tries to steal the spotlight from the characters themselves, which is exactly the right decision.

Final Thought

Duang with You reminded me that sometimes the simplest stories are also the most touching. It's a drama about patience, determination, and believing that love is worth fighting for. Add an incredibly likeable cast and a relationship that's easy to believe in, and you get one of the sweetest BLs I've watched this year.

So cliché but so cute

Duang With You is some cliche romance final boss Thai BL. I am not sure what kind of condition possessed Duang because he is so hilarious. It does not even feel like a drama, it feels like I am watching a sit-com every time he pulls his random antics. I genuinely do think that Duang and Qin is just TeeTee and Por in real life.

Their chemistry is amazing hence why I can see why the ratings for this series is so high. Though, I must say, the plot is doable to watch but it took me a while to finish it. Not gonna lie, I do think the ratings are heavily influenced by the casts rather than the plot. Regardless, it is a cute show to watch and good dose of comedy injected into your veins.

ADORKABLE CHAOS AND QUIET HEALING

Duang is a decorative arts student who is loud, clumsy, and unapologetically honest about his feelings. He falls for Qin, a jazz student who is famously 'icy' and rejects everyone. Instead of backing down when he's not immediately accepted, Duang tells Qin he isn't asking for permission; he's just letting him know he's going to win him over.

TeeTee playing a character as high-energy as Duang can easily become annoying, but TeeTee gives him a vulnerability that makes you root for him. His 'adorkable' energy is balanced by a deep empathy. Por plays Qin with incredible subtlety. He doesn't stay cold for the sake of the trope; you slowly realize his walls are a 'survival language' from his past. Seeing him 'glow' once he lets Duang in is one of the most satisfying character arcs of the year.

Furthermore, while the show uses playful sound effects and physical comedy, it doesn't shy away from themes of PTSD and the courage it takes to be sincere in a world that often rewards being guarded. For a rom-com, the cinematography is gorgeous, with soft palettes, and a soundtrack that features the leads (from their group DEXX) makes it feel very polished.

In conclusion, Duang with You is a 'sugar rush to the heart.' If you want a drama that is silly enough to make you laugh out loud but sincere enough to make you tear up, this is it.

theres no way this is rated 13+ I thought the scene was going to end but It just keeps going. like even in other BL's the scene normally ends by the time they kiss but they didnt stop💔 Anyways this was a great show, I loved Duang's personality but not to down play Qin's trauma or anything but seriously like the writers couldn't think of ANYTHING more traumatizing? I understand how something like that would affect Qin's personality but like the fact they made it such a big deal like Qin has to genuinely learn to let go of some memories, Aint no way they made him "let go of his younger selfs hand" like it was such a big thing to let go of im dead. Anyways great show, amazing acting though and also the music is fire but personally I wouldn't rewatch it as I felt the show just dragged along and I just felt so bored.
