I liked this fresh drama!

If you can get to the second episode, you will not regret it! I almost didn't, but I am happy that I gave it a second chance! It showed how life and wrong people encounters can affect people's mental health. I loved how these two people got to know each other through their weaknesses. They didn't hide their illnesses and they connected because of them. I liked that they seemed cold and indifferent but they were just distanced from people because they were hurt. They made progress little by little. They tried their best to be better. They wanted to be in each other's life but they didn't get in the way. I loved how the neighbours cared about them when they opened up. The male lead was ready to help all the time and was so emotional. The female lead took the first step towards him, although she was mentally scarred by a man. I liked that in this drama they kept fighting to get over their illnesses till the end. I would recommend this drama for sure!

You Are Crazy

Ah, seriously! I thought it would be a fun one but the middle twist of the plot is such a good drive to keep the audience going and sticking with the series. This is a comedy yes but romance and action as well. An all-rounder! I would like to compliment the main leads for taking the mental issues characters well, I think it must've been hard to explore the such theme for a show but depict the horror and the sorrow well I am sympathizing and rooting for them. The side stories are also exciting! The way Mad For Each Other tackles heavy topics in daily kinds of stories is really mesmerizing. Glad that I pick this up again. There's always hope and love even when you think you are crazy it is.

Crazy Relatable

Absolutely LAUGHED out LOUD for the 1st episode this Guy was just having THE worst day ..and to end it off literally sh*tttting himself - couldn't deal just TOOO funny!! Each episode got better , very cute , funny and actually realistically RELATABLE situations , positions and People Relationships.. I know the main Male Lead is no Gong Yoo in the looks department BUT somehow I totally fell for his unpredictable kinda sexy Mad Dog vibes.. Loved the ending was super cute and once REALISTICALLY relatable. Loved their character build up and not TOO dragged out. Really Loved this!

This one surprised me :)

While watching excessive rom-com dramas I want to watch fresh drama that only ( majority ) humour/laughing in this way i found Mad for each other. This my first drama of lead actors, but impressed by their natural performance.

Quick Roundup on plot :-

He is a crazy police officer who can't control his anger.
Due to a particular case, his life changed and he started to have anger control disorder due to the aftereffects.
She had everything in the past but because of a tragic incident, she lost faith in people. She has closed the door to her heart and unintentionally causes anger around her. What happens if these two people encounter each other ?

Mad For Each Other is a short drama that presents the art of humour storytelling through characters, with small stories building into a main one. The story is an interesting and enjoyable start from two completely different personalities people encountered each other, the show begins on an exciting and humorous attention with the main characters meeting up and connecting to each other at the same time hating each other.

Yep, it looks like a simple story but dealing with the inner effects of human beings from their taruma with different persons perspectives and It represented modern issues such as diversity, mental health, drugs, and dating violence this drama impressed me.

By showing the simple story in front-side, the writer showed his/her remarkable writing with a well structured plot, Like the drama explores insightful realizations related to one's mental health and how the long-term impacts of trauma reflect itself. You must find someone that you can rely on, the first half of the show, it was mostly these two main leads hating each other but being forced to be around each other. Until slowly they begin to trust each other while unknowingly healing each other of their problems.

Simple soundtrack, nice Cinematography made every scene fresh to connect the drama and its characters. Well developed side characters and good characterizations. And excellent performance from two main leads.

Overall i enjoyed the drama but in some episodes I got bored, but with their humour and fresh plot keeps you watching the entire drama.
If you're looking for a mature humours rom drama then this one is for you :).

Pleasantly Different

This drama was so well done. It demonstrated real issues in a way that was basically sincere. It didn’t feel dragged out or out there to be a big issue. Just drawing your attention to how it feels to be different, questioned, and lonely. I felt my heart clenching and also laughed so hard. There were even times when I was at the end of my seat bracing my shoulders.

The music was very well done. There were just a few songs that I didn’t like last 80%. They still matched every scene.

The character development that was portrayed was fantastic. You saw our two mains really evolve as the drama went on. Their relationship didn’t even seem rushed. It wasn’t an out of this world meeting. It wasn’t instant connection. That was different and very enjoyable. Plus our secondary cast are wonderful at what they do. The drama itself didn’t feel overdone. It felt as though they wanted us to connect and really feel what everyone was feeling. Not all things work out, not everything can resolve itself perfectly in a bow. Being able to apologize, and be heard is worth all the effort. I love that it’s comedy is just perfect. The pacing wasn’t rushed either. Maybe it was the short season half hour episode format. I would watch this format again easily.

This drama is short and sweet. If you want a quick and easy drama to sink your teeth into give this a really good try. Might make you smile, cry, get frustrated and angry. Maybe a delightful combo of emotions you didn’t know could mix.

An unexpected delight

Such a lovely drama. I'm sad it was so short! Although I was also impressed at how invested they made me in the characters in the relatively little time they had. It was also one of the most real-feeling romances I've seen in ages, possibly ever in a kdrama. There are melodramatic elements, sure - how could there not be?! - but at its heart it just felt like watching two real people falling in love in real time, and as actual adults! It's still very chaste but I found the way they dealt with the physical aspects of the relationship really refreshing for a kdrama. Nothing shocking but again, just real and very, very sweet. It made me want to fall in love with someone again so badly! I'd love them to do a follow-up. Thirteen episodes wasn't enough! I could hang out with these two for much, much longer.

Great, except for the end!

I liked watching this. There are quite some moments to laugh your a** off, and also a lot of warm, touching moments. Good acting, many scenes to get to know the characters and even think about life and society in general.

But the ending is like "WHAT THE HECK!?" and is ruining a lot of what was watched up to this point. I really don't get the end at all, or at least it was poorly explained. I really don't get this out-of-nowhere forced, pushy attitude of both lead characters. I really, really just don't understand why the writers decided to go with that ending.

[SPOILER]
I would get if they wouldn't get together in the end, just beacuse of what's up in their lives. But this just leaves me covered in question marks! Where's all the learning, build-up trust, understanding each other...!?

The other side of the coin

Mad for each other is a drama that depicts mental difficulties and is about sensitive issues such as domestic violence, gender conformity, fear and aggression. However, the realization for me was not amazing.

It deals with a man and a woman who are neighbors and go to the same psychiatrist. The woman comes from a bad relationship and has the feeling of being persecuted by everyone. She also suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder. The man is a police officer on probation because he acted too aggressively during a takeover.

Thus, the story revolves around personal problems, a drug dealer, getting healthy and dealing with people who want bad things for you. It also introduces some side characters like the neighbors, a saleswoman and so on.

Within the first 4 episodes I just thought „where is this going“? The characters were going around in circles and somehow the same thing was happening over and over again but in different places.
After that it got better until episode 8. It was relatively funny and varied and you could see how the relationship developed. After that, however, I could only enjoy the episodes with a shake of the head. Thank God the episodes were so short. There was everything from break ups, misunderstandings, car chases etc and most of it only in the last 30 minutes. I couldn't stop laughing. It was so ridiculous.

Mad for each other is really not for me

An absolute gem!

Do not miss treating yourself to this exceptionally good drama, which I rank among the very best. The storyline is like no other. The acting talent of the main couple is phenomenal and worthy of awards. You really grow to love these characters. As another reviewer mentioned, you really hate to see the story end. When a drama makes reference to mental illness I expect a depressing story and avoid them, but this drama is so touching and heartfelt that it is uplifting rather than the downer you would expect. I have watched many other excellent dramas, but never loved a drama as much as I loved this one. ON NETFLIX.

Unlikely Love Story

This drama surprised me in the best way possible and I loved it. When you start the series you have an idea that it will just be a silly show that makes a comedy out the illnesses of the main lead but it does a wonderful and sincere job of explaining the characters and how they grow and get better. The whole cast did an amazing job on the comedic aspects but also the more serious scenes. The characters are great as well even the side characters. I especially loved the main leads. Their romance was so soft and wonderful to watch. It had a quirky and awkward charm that made it feel real. This drama is very underrated and I'm glad I stumbled upon it. It's a quick watch and every easy to binge in one night.

One of the funniest rom com out there. Watch it!!!

I think I find one of the funniest rom com so far.
Absolutely amazing.
The leads here are so funny and so likebale and reliable.
How they met is so funny and random.
Sure there are few cliche stuff here and there but it's not enough to bring the show down.
Only cliche things are how they ended up going to the same therapy doctor and lived next door to each other. Sure that can happen in real life but super slim lol
But you gotta have a show so writers had no choice.
Other that, I love everyone here and I love the humor and the chemistry between the leads.
The FL is here specially is so great. She also had some really messed up stuff that happened to her with her ex( very disturbing stuff) a very violent guy.

This show really delt with some really dark stuff but they find a way to balance everything with humor and characters developments
There are online hate, physical and domestic violence, drugging on this show.
Both leads have their own problems they are dealing with.
But the FL had it the worst since she had to live a completely different life in order to get away from her abuser and of course, since the family is powerful he managed to get out of jail and found her again anyway.
He poisoned her dog, and drugged her. Crazy stuff

Also, this show also handled a transgender/cross dresser character so well with the most respect you'd see on TV.
I was definitely surprise. She was definitely a third lead if you will.
How the neighbors treated her at first and how the ML responded to the harassments and all the bad comments. How they said the value of the place would go down if people find out there's a cross dresser living there btw, didn't happen since people don't care about other people business like that. Everyone is just trying to go by
How later you found out more about him or her, he or she not just a cross dresser. He or she has is own life, computer programmer stuff.
Won't spoil everything lol

There's two villains of this show.
One is the FL ex.
I still think he got off easy. As a guy, I absolutely distaste guys who beat up women. Horrible. She kept begging him not to hit her.
Dude was absolutely the worst thing on the show.
Her mom wasn't any better. Anyway that's too much spoiler

And the second one is a guy that the ML been trying to catch since he's a cop.
I think the story line for the ML were wrapped up way too quickly but I'll let it slide.

What you'd be interested in is the relationship and chemistry between the leads.
Two people who truly hated or couldn't stand each other at first, but slowly opened up to each other and be there for one another.
I'm usually not a fan of breakup before finale episodes I find them too cliche but here, there was a perfectly good reason why she decided to end thing before the finale.

Even with few cliche things here and there. I would still watch this again just to see them together and go at each other throats.
Very funny and well written rom com.

A short rollercoaster ride that must not be missed

Since it was a short kdrama, it solely focused on the main storyline. I didn't find any unnecessary twist and turn. But prepare a box of tissues and a pillow for the sorrow and anger it would give you. Even though the script may not be new, the leads' performance and chemistry were worth watching. Furthermore, the supporting characters were refreshing, hilarious, and wonderfully harmonized with the FL and ML. It was a mad ride from the start till the end. No moment seemed dull, but the ending was a little chaotic and rushed for me. Nevertheless, I liked it!

Overall, the drama was perfect for a short break from heavy storylines.
BTW, the main leads' chemistry was fantastic, especially THE KISSES!!
