Lee Dong Wook will reportedly lead a new drama directed by Song Hae Sung and written by Kim Woon Kyung.
On September 29th, it was reported that Lee Dong Wook will be the main lead of the upcoming drama "The Good Man." He will be working with the "Boomerang Family" director and "Yoo Na's Street" writer.
Lee Dong Wook's agency King Kong by Starship responded to the reports and stated that the actor is currently reviewing the offer to appear in "The Good Man."
"The Good Man" will revolve around Seok Cheol, the eldest grandson of the three generations of gangsters who protects his family, work, and love.
The upcoming series will be produced by Hive MediaCorp. The production aims to finalize casting this year and will begin filming in the first quarter of 2023.
There are no details yet on the broadcast date and channel for "The Good Man."
If Lee Dong Wook confirms his casting, this will be his second upcoming drama for 2023. The actor is set to return to the new seasons of "Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938" and "Tale of the Nine-Tailed Season 3."
For 2022, the actor did not appear in any dramas. He is currently busy filming for "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" new seasons and he will also appear in the upcoming movie "Single in Seoul" with Im Soo Jung, Esom, Lee Mi Do, Jang Hyun Sung, and Lee Sang Yi.
Lee Dong Wook last starred in the 2021 series "Bad and Crazy" with Wi Ha Joon, Han Ji Eun, VIXX's Cha Hak Yeon, Sung Ji Ru, and Cha Shi Won.
