Idol-actor Lee Joon receives offer to star in the upcoming tvN drama "The Immortal" with Lee Jin Wook

On February 3, reports stated that Lee Joon is in talks to join Lee Jin Wook who also got the offer to play the main lead for "The Immortal".

The idol-actor's agency Prain TPC told media outlet YTN Star, "Lee Joon was offered a role in the drama 'The Immortal' and he is positively considering it". 

"The Immortal" is a tvN drama with 40 billion Korean won (approximately $35 million US dollars) budget that will narrate the story of a man who's immortal and a woman who repeatedly died and reincarnated for the past 600 years and she remembers all the details of her past life.

If Lee Joon accepts the offer, He will play the role of Ok Eul Tae,  a charismatic immortal with a manipulative character. Although he's wealthy and able to become influential in the country, he's limiting himself to small cities because of his experiences from the past.

Lee Joon last appeared in the 2017 drama "My Father is Strange" with Lee Yoo Ri, Jung So Min and others. He is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix original series "The Silent Sea" produced by actor Jung Woo Sung with casts Gong Yoo, Bae Doo Na and more. Lee Joon is active not only as an actor and entertainer, but he's also the current radio host for SBS Power FM "Lee Joon's Young Street".

"The Immortal" will be a collaboration work of director Jang Young Woo and writers Seo Jae Won and Kwon So Ra who also helmed the 2018 drama, "The Guest".

There's no detailed information yet on the broadcast of the drama "The Immortal".
