Oh Eui Shik joins Lee Min Ki's new action thriller K-drama
Lee Tae Hwan's comeback after the military will possibly be the upcoming TV Chosun K-drama DNA Lover.
On January 24, media outlets revealed that Lee Tae Hwan will be joining the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama DNA Lover. The media outlets shared that this would be the comeback K-drama of Lee Tae Hwan after being discharged from the military.
Lee Tae Hwan's agency Man of Creation then responded to the casting reports. According to the agency, Lee Tae Hwan did receive the offer to star in the series. He is currently reviewing the offer positively.
The actor enlisted in the military in June 2022. Lee Tae Hwan finished his military duties in December last year.
Lee Tae Hwan was last seen in the K-drama Thirty-Nine with Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, Kim Ji Hyun, Yeon Woo Jin, and Lee Moo Saeng. He also starred in the 2022 film Chiaksan Mountain with Yoon Kyun Sang, Kim Ye Won, and Yeon Je Wook.
He made his acting debut in 2013 through the K-drama After School: Lucky or Not. Since then, he has starred in various K-dramas such as High School King of Savvy, Pride and Prejudice, Thumping Spike, Please Come Back, Mister, W, My Golden Life, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, Touch, Secret Royal Inspector, and more.
DNA Lover will revolve around a genetic researcher who always ends up in failed relationships, and tries to look for her destined partner through genes.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Jung In Sun and Super Junior's Choi Si Won.
This will be the next work of director Sung Chi Wook (Tomorrow, Kairos, and Special Labor Inspector Jo). The script will be written by Jung Soo Mi (Born Again).
Jung In Sun will play the role of Han So Jin, the generic researcher who looks for his mate through genes. Choi Si Won will portray the role of Shim Yeon Woo, a handsome obstetrician who rejects all fatalities.
Lee Tae Hwan on the other hand received the offer to play the role of Seo Kang Hoon, a firefighter.
DNA Lover will officially premiere on the channel TV Chosun. It will reportedly air this year.
