Ryu Seung Ryong is in discussion to be Mr. Kim in a new JTBC K-drama.
According to an exclusive report from media outlet Osen on October 31, Ryu Seung Ryong has been picked to lead the upcoming K-drama Mr. Kim. They also stated that the top actor is positively considering the offer to star in the K-drama.
Mr. Kim will depict its story from the webtoon of the same name. The K-drama will center around Mr. Kim who works as a department head of a company. He is a person who thinks about other people and their well-being than himself. It will reportedly be the JTBC's version of tvN's hit K-drama Misaeng: Incomplete Life. The series will showcase the lives and struggles of ordinary office workers in Korea.
Ryu Seung Ryong got the offer to portray the role of the main lead, Mr. Kim.
The upcoming K-drama will be helmed by director Jo Hyun Taek. He is known for creating the K-dramas The Atypical Family, Snowdrop, SKY Castle, and more. SLL and Varo Entertainment will produce the upcoming K-drama.
Mr. Kim will exclusively premiere on JTBC. There is no confirmation yet on the official release date and the other actors that offered to star in the series.
Aside from Mr. Kim, Ryu Seung Ryong will also lead the upcoming Disney+ original K-drama Low Life. He will work alongside Yang Se Jong, Lim Soo Jung, Kim Eui Sung, Kim Sung Oh, and Kim Jong Soo.
Ryu Seung Ryong also recently released his movie Archers of Amazon. The film is currently available in Korean theaters.
The actor will also lead the upcoming movies Portrait of a Family and Jung Family's Farm.
