Kammiya:

mm...I don't like the dad's as well. But I consider them good actors on their own, just the dialogue doesn't help them here. I've watched their other dramas and liked them there.

I see. And yes, a good dialoghe makes acting improving, and this trash has no good dialogues at all.

That guy has been playing teenage characters all his life lol.

he is typecasted.

I think i saw him first time in True Beauty. There and in FbC he play a character with almost the same trait, like being cool all the time. Probably audience like to see him doing that.

Imo he pulls it off just okay. The problem in this drama is that the characters look exactly the same at 18 and at 28, not even a different haircut XD

That's totaly true, they should have done a better characterization. Now that you say it, to my recollection, yes, I only saw him playing young characters.

I know some actors who have played the same role, again and again (i.e Chen Guo ) . I hope he won'tbe stuck is this trap.

Imo he needs to steer away from idol dramas. It's about time he picks a serious role. Even Cha Eun Woo is picking more serious roles ( though I still find his acting bad)

That makes sense. Yes I know Cha Eun Woo did "wonderful world". ( it is better than in his debut, he was vey bad at acting)

This is a long road. The problem is the fandom. Management wants to please them. A famous story like "Go Ahead" was perfect for his fandom to follow him. Without fandom there is no artist.

In W.H.Y he was a young adult / student with the same characterization. Evidently his audience loves to see him like that. It is nice for some time, but I hope he will be able to switch to something more in depth without loosing his fandom.

Agencies don't make a move if fans don't follow.

I think it depends if he wants to be just famous or a serious actor. Take for example Zhang Xingchen he has lots of fans and his reputation as an actor is that he is very diverse and pull off different roles. Or someone like Kim Soo Hyun that started with idol dramas and transitioned to serious ones.

You are right. I heard a lot of actors actress thanking their fans for being able to act. But I did not consider the strategies agency can put in place to make the switch in their careers.

If even Kim Soo Hyun can play in "it's okay not to be ok". It is more about what actors really want to do.

I should not be scared about their fanclub disbanding.
