And not to long after that I ran across AC.net and it had a banner or something saying if your bored try a drama on DC.net.. and well from there its all history, being a housewife with no kids, I had A LOT of time on my hands.
First J-Drama- Either Hana Kimi, Hana Yori Dango, or Nobuto wo Produce
First K-Drama- Either Boys Before Flowers or You're Beautiful..
First T-Drama-Devil Beside You
And now, I can't stand to watch anything dubbed, and Korean is beautiful to my ears. I have just started getting into some of the music within the last year or so. My husband and family think I am nuts, but my husband one day was watching some of Dream High with me and said if it was in English he would probably enjoy watching it. I have gotten a couple friends into some J-Pop.. my husband likes some of it too..

my situation is a little similar ... i remembered when i watched coffee prince, korean was still new to my ears but it took me some time to get used to it :) and now its beautiful to my ears to0o .. whenever i go to my mom;s place and stay there or a couple of days i continue to watch my kdramas and every time they see me esp my dad he says" Why r u watching Chinese ?" Man! it frustrates the hell out of me and every time i have to explain to him that it's not Chinese it is Korean and my dad thinks its all the same.. /roll my eyes... i have only one Asian friend who likes to watch dramas but she has a busy schedule :(.. this is my first time making friends and share my addiction ...and am loving it :)

cool :) learning these languages is in my wish list.. lets see when that happens.. heheh
First JDrama: Hana Yori Dango
First KDrama:Full house
First TDrama: Romantic princess

3 years ago,I saw a trailer of Boys over flowers on a skyblog and love it, so i started to watch it, but it was hana yori dango...i didn't know. First time I heard these languages so didn't know at all xD
I used to watch Naruto, Full metal, and One piece with my brothers but when my cousin lend me My boss my hero, i really appreciated, but didn't know at this time that it exists a loooot of drama. I can say that its the first drama I saw but...no, its not that. I didn't considere it as a drama back then. dont ask me why lol "my first drama" can only be HYD =)

And now, I've watched over 100 dramas ! So addicted!! :p

(sorry for my english, im french)
My addiction started because of manga)). I've read Hana Kimi and loved this manga so I wanted to watch anime. But it happened that there was no anime but only drama adaptation. Would you believe me if I say I didn't like Asian people before? Somehow it was like that so I thought about watching it or not for couple of days and then decided to try it out and that happend 1 year ago. Since then I'm hooked on Asian dramas :D.
So my firts J-drama: Hana Kimi (because I liked Oguri Shun - I started checking up other his dramas)

Speaking of K-dramas - at first I watched only j-dramas and didn't even think about others as few times I checked korean dramas (just clicked the ep to watch) and couldn't go through first 10 minutes. But one day I've decided to give a try to You are beautiful - it was on the 2nd place by DC ratings that time so my thoughts were - so many people couldn't be so wrong - maybe there's smth good there. I totally loved it and though it's childish it's still my favorite drama and only because of it I've decided to watch k-dramas.

T-dramas - my first was Devil beside you and I was totally hooked (Rita, don't through anything at me :D) - Mike He made me completely glued to the screen and I still think that t-dramas are most emotinal among all of them but also they have the worsest quality to watch *sigh*

I just threw my precious Ming vase at you... and got the wall.;);)

Of course I'm kidding. I watched the whole Meteor Garden serie twice only because of Jerry Yan: how mature is that?

*cries over Ming vase*
Lol, he's a cutie and he was the only reason I kept watching Down with love)) though I couldn't get through the first Meteor Garden - even half of it...but I guess it was because I watched HYD and BOF before it and they were more to my taste...
my first Jdrama was Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake
http://www.mydramalist.com//front/dramalist-ajax.php?dramaid=866

I started it because I am in love with asian cinema and was working at a video rental store at the time. I was able to take home movies to watch for free and was grabbing any asian film we got in. As a result I had watched a couple of movies with Kaneshiro Takeshi. I decided I really liked his movies and wanted to see a list of them so I could try to find more of them at work to watch. So I looked him up online and discovered he did a drama too. So I looked that up and ended up either on DC or another drama stream site I sometimes use and the rest is history ^.^

I haven't watched much K or C or T drama yet, cause Japan is my first love and I haven't run out of Jdramas I want to watch yet haha, but I think the second drama I ever watched was Friends, because after "Kamisama..." I was so impressed with Kyoko Fukada (who isn't on MDL at all???!!!) I tried to find other dramas with her. I'm not sure if Friends is classified as Jdrama or Kdrama because it's sorta both. She randomly meets and falls in love with a Korean guy, she doesn't speak Korean and he doesn't speak Japanese but they find ways to communicate. It's a really sweet story. http://www.jdorama.com/drama.599.htm
