By now, I do too. But on the other hand dubbed dramas would be nice, since I could watch it with many friends. They are to lazy to read subtitles and find the different language strange. But they miss so good storys.

Yeah... i totally agree with you on this one. Thats such a pitty :( i would actually love to show this amazing world of dramas to my mom (because she likes good stories). But she doesnt even undestand english, so it is imposible right now. Im also trying to convince my friend to watch some dramas, but she doesnt like jap or kor language too. They dont know what they miss :(

First Jdrama: Hana Yori Dango
First Kdrama: Successful Story of a Bright Girl...but I've only watched a few episodes of it and my first completed drama would be Autumn Tale.

I started getting addicted to J&Kdramas when they started to air on our local TV networks :D
Wow Rita :) kool .. am impress.. :P ... one day when i told my husband that i want to travel to Japan ... his eyes almost popped out of his face and were about to dropped on the floor :P ... After i start watching kdrama, i told him i want to go to South Korea ... but now he is used to it :P so he was not as surprise:P .. funny thing is that he is familiar with a little bit Korean culture from his past.. so this summer i told him that he has to take me to a Korean Rest ( he cant deny cuz he loves korean food) even tho we went to one beore but this time i cant wait to use some of my korean words.. like jŏgiyo and kamsamnida ..

I have dubbed versions, too

So, let's start with my intrusion in this wonderful world. My first love was anime, around 8-9 years old, and my first anime was Sailor Moon and i became addicted. Atfer that, followed manga about 5-6 years ago and my addiction to asian dramas started after i watched Hana Yori Dango anime and i love it so much that i wanted to see more and more and i found it that was made many versions of Hana yori Dango and a friend told me to watch first the jdrama HANA YORI DANGO . So this is my first jdrama.
After that i found that kdramas, twdramas, chdramas, etc, and i begin to search it what to see next and my first kdrama was JEWEL IN THE PALACE on my local tv. I found it accidentally when i was zapping it. But i haven't seen it all so my first real kdrama from the start till the end was HUR JUN and i became addicted.
Of course, meanwhile, i have seen asian movies, anime, reading manga.
So, that's my story ^^

Yeah I understand you. Watching dramas alone is fun too, but squiking in front of the pc together with a friend or family is much better. I don't know how I did it, but I convinced a friend of mine to watch a drama with me (I think I told her how good dramas are, and that nothing comparable exists, and so she agreed out of curosity XD) Now I am raising her to become a junkie with boys before flowers. I believe that is the best drama to start with, since it has all elements a good drama needs. Then funny thing is it works, hehehehe
My first drama was Taiwanese - Tokyo Juliet but since I didn't finished it too soon..I'll say Meteor Garden (Taiwanese) since it was the second series I watched.
First J-Drama - Gokusen. And I have to thank MatsuJun for making me a drama-addict.
First K-Drama - probably My Girl. A series I truly enjoyed from many aspects.
Hmmm... my addiction all started with my niece, she was like you have to watch this, and read this, so I got immersed in the world of Yaoi anime and manga, but that got boring way to fast, so I started watching Bleach and reading other manga(this was in the fall of 07).. And not to long after that I ran across AC.net and it had a banner or something saying if your bored try a drama on DC.net.. and well from there its all history, being a housewife with no kids, I had A LOT of time on my hands.
First J-Drama- Either Hana Kimi, Hana Yori Dango, or Nobuto wo Produce
First K-Drama- Either Boys Before Flowers or You're Beautiful..
First T-Drama-Devil Beside You
And now, I can't stand to watch anything dubbed, and Korean is beautiful to my ears. I have just started getting into some of the music within the last year or so. My husband and family think I am nuts, but my husband one day was watching some of Dream High with me and said if it was in English he would probably enjoy watching it. I have gotten a couple friends into some J-Pop.. my husband likes some of it too..

Hehe... I started to learn Japaneesse a few months ago and was really interesting since I knew some basics already from J-drama and anime + their signs are so COOOL ^_^
In high school my friend Katrina became obsessed with watching Kdramas. I always made fun of her because I didnt really know much about Asian culture. Anyways at a sleep over she popped in Full House and made us all watch it. I really thought Id be bored out of my mind. I was surprised I really enjoyed my first drama. I actually never thought about watching another drama after that because I became busy with college and work and forgot all about it. Lets see that was a little over 4 years ago. About a year ago I had watched a couple of the bigger dramas that my sis had told me about such as Coffee Prince, Your Beautiful, Cinderella's Sister but didnt become obsessed. Well I dont know but since this past winter vacation, I have become obsessed with watching dramas. If I dont at least watch a couple of episodes of something each day I feel empty! Oh and Hana Yori Dongo was my first J drama. Its the best J drama out there. However I do prefer K dramas to J dramas....

my situation is a little similar ... i remembered when i watched coffee prince, korean was still new to my ears but it took me some time to get used to it :) and now its beautiful to my ears to0o .. whenever i go to my mom;s place and stay there or a couple of days i continue to watch my kdramas and every time they see me esp my dad he says" Why r u watching Chinese ?" Man! it frustrates the hell out of me and every time i have to explain to him that it's not Chinese it is Korean and my dad thinks its all the same.. /roll my eyes... i have only one Asian friend who likes to watch dramas but she has a busy schedule :(.. this is my first time making friends and share my addiction ...and am loving it :)
