Welcome, MrPeach!!!  Sorry was busy finishing up my drama before checking these notifications :)

We just had our first Hall of Fame voting.  In case you miss it, here are the two lists.  I think Nienna will do an official post later on? maybe?

You may be wondering, “What?  How can those be the top 3?” or “WOW! All the ones I love!” or – in my case “How the h*ll did Six Flying Dragons NOT make the top 3?!?!”   Explaining how the lists developed, and how voting worked might help. Before the lists were made, a post went out to members of the Historical Drama Club on the Forums.  The question was: how to define a historical drama, when some dramas that weren’t historical were tagged as “historical”.  The HDC received several suggestions about how to define Historical (all very good suggestions), and we ultimately decided to make two categories that were broad: Historical and Period, and both lists gave information on the lists about what was / was not a historical or period drama  MDL users then could to add their favorite. From those top 50 we took the top 25. And then the “fun” started.

“Drama >insert name< isn’t historical – it doesn’t belong on the list. We realized that people were considering period dramas to be historical (and vice versa) when they weren’t, and changes were made to round 2, where we went from 50 to 25.  Then more “fun” ensued…

The lists weren’t updating, and I had trouble adding 25 titles.  Sometimes the lists updated sometimes not.  More comments about dramas being on the wrong list, etc.  then 25 when to what should have been 10, but turned out to be only 5 in round three.  Updating the lists became such a problem that I had to reach out to another HDC  member to create the FINAL ROUND list (thanks @VirgieVirgie).  The results are what you see now in the top three.

What could be done better:

• Increase the voting time from 10 days to 14 so that people who only check MDL on weekends have a chance to vote
• Be much more specific about the criteria for Historical and Period dramas
• Whoever makes the list should check every title added to be sure that the title matches the list

Our club finally has its own Hall of Fame! Yeah! 

I honestly didn't expect The Red Sleeve and Mr Queen to score that high ☺️

neither did I, but we didn't get tons of votes on the Historical list.  Suggestions about how to increase voting would be helpful.  Maybe if a more senior member (someone who has been in HDC longer than I have) creates the lists and posts them to the Global Feed?

My heart cries a bit for Six Flying Dragons even though I love all three of the other dramas on the list. :)

My heart also aches for Six Flying Dragons, Nonetheless all the dramas in the top three are great good job putting this all together Nienna!

shamefully, I haven't seen the 2 of the top 3...I'm an embarrassment to the HIDC! :)

It's ok, I haven't seen Mr. Queen, and don't know that I plan to :P
